B&B Week of July 26, 2010
Monday
At Forrester, Hope ran into an office after learning at the press conference that Brooke had slept with Oliver. Brooke, Oliver and Ridge followed and Hope asked if it was true. When they didn't answer, the teen ran out, with Brooke and Oliver chasing her.... Stephanie and Taylor couldn't believe that Brooke did this to her daughter.... Ridge accused Steffy of betraying him and setting up Brooke, but she denied putting that in her tribute. Ridge admitted to Stephanie that he knew about Brooke's tryst, but insisted that it had been a mistake. Steph noted that there's no way that Brooke would've confused Oliver's young body with Ridge's. HA! Ridge was more concerned about Steffy creating another scandal for the company. Steffy continued to deny doing anything. She showed them the tribute that was saved on her computer — and sure enough, there was the segment on Brooke and Oliver. Ridge angrily asked her to turn it off, but she still declared her innoncence. Steph and Taylor defended her. Steffy refused to confess to something that she didn't do. Stephanie blamed Brooke for all of their problems. Ridge wouldn't believe his daughter and fired her right on the spot. Steffy broke down in Taylor's arms.
At Spencer, Barber and Liam returned from the press conference; Barber noted that all hell was breaking loose at Forrester. Liam was concerned about what the Forresters would do if they found out that they'd messed with them, but Barber wanted to help Bill get back Forrester. He felt that Steffy deserved what she'd gotten because she'd tried to cross Bill.
Hope ran through the building and finally locked herself in a downstairs photo office. She spied photos of herself with Oliver on the walls and tore them down. Brooke found her and Hope demanded that her mother leave. "You are not the mother that I thought I knew!" she cried.... Oliver also ran around the building searching for Hope..... Hope noted that Brooke also slept with Bridget's husband and refused to believe that her being with Oliver was a mistake. She accused her mother of being with someone young to make herself feel not as old. "Brooke Logan always gets her man," Hope seethed. "You ruined everything." Brooke again tried to explain how she'd ended up with Oliver, but Hope accused her of stealing her beau. "His love is tainted now!" Hope stated. "My fantasy is over now because you killed it." Brooke tried to hug her, but Hope shoved her away.
Tuesday
"Your love is sick," Hope snarled at her mother. Oliver arrived and tried to explain himself but Hope wanted to bolt. He proclaimed his love but she wasn't appeased. Hope then wanted to hear Oliver side of the sordid story and he recounted the details that led up to having sex with Brooke. Hope was appalled that he would ever think that she would want her first time to be on the terrace during a party. Oliver begged for Hope's forgiveness but she announced, "It's too late now." Brooke promised that the pain will eventually fade but Hope pointed out that the ugliness never will. She gave Oliver a good-bye hug but he said he wouldn't give up on them. After he left, Hope sobbed to Brooke, "I can't be near you" and stormed out. Brooke collapsed in tears.
Owen brought Bridget some ice cream and she wasted no time in lamenting about her current woes which led to discussing her questionable taste in men. She recalled her clunker first husband, Deacon, who fathered Hope. Owen and Bridget were excited when the baby kicked but the elation was short-lived when he revealed that Brooke and Oliver had sex and it was now a public scandal. Bridget was stunned by her mother's latest escapade.
Stephanie and Taylor railed at Ridge for firing Steffy because of Brooke's scandal. Taylor accused Ridge of backing Brooke over Steffy but he insisted that he had no other choice but to punish Steffy for her actions. Stephanie groused that her son is willing to jeopardize his relationship with his children just to keep Brooke in bed with him. "It was an error in judgment," Ridge insisted and he left.
Hope showed up at Bridget's place and cried on her big sister's shoulder. Hope asked how Bridget ever get over the pain of their mother's sins. Meanwhile, Brooke searched Forrester Creations for Hope and encountered Stephanie in the showroom. Steph chastised Brooke for her behavior but Brooke countered that she needed to find Hope. Stephanie yelled at Brooke to leave the poor girl alone so she's not poisoned by Brooke like Bridget was. Brooke warned Stephanie not to use this situation to undermine Brooke's relationship with Hope. "You leave my daughter alone," a scary-looking Brooke ordered.
Wednesday
A radio announcer spoke about the Brooke/Oliver scandal. Meanwhile at Forrester, Katie, Stephen and Bill met with Ridge and didn't think that Brooke really cheated. Bill stated that it really did happen. Ridge explained how Brooke had thought that Oliver was him. Katie asked what she could do to help and planned to keep the scandal from spreading. Stephen was ready to do battle with Stephanie. He and Katie believed that Steffy intentionally leaked the information.
Brooke and Stephanie argued over Brooke's actions. Steph noted that Brooke emotionally abuses her children and angrily demanded that she leave town — and her kids. Brooke refused. "You're so twisted. I'm sure that she's never going to have anything to do with you again," Stephanie gloated. Brooke warned Steph to stay away from her daughter, then stormed out and broke down.
Bridget tried to comfort Hope, given that she'd been through a smiliar situation with Brooke. Hope didn't think that she'd ever feel better. Hope couldn't understand how Brooke could confuse Ridge with Oliver, however, she wanted to believe that Oliver really was mixed up. Bridget urged her to give the situation some time so that she'd have some more perspective. She was sure that Brooke hadn't meant to hurt Hope.
Justin introduced Liam to Bill. Bill instructed Justin to do what he could to get rid of the Brooke scandal. Justin revealed that he’s the one who altered Steffy's tribute in order to help Bill get control of Forrester once again. Bill was furious, but Justin argued that he'd just been trying to think like Bill thinks. Bill pointed out that by attacking Brooke, Justin had attacked his family. Barber countered that his son's mother is a Logan, but business is business. Bill asked to speak with Liam alone and questioned him about getting access to Steffy's laptop. He ordered Liam to never let anyone know how Steffy's tribute had been doctored.
Stephanie entered Ridge's office and was annoyed to see Stephen there. When she revealed that she'd been with Brooke, Stephen said that she's heartless. Katie called Bill, but he didn't pick up.... Brooke went for a walk by the Hollywood sign so she could clear her head. She held Hope's necklace and recalled happier times with her daughter. "Please bring her back to me," she cried. Ridge found her on the trail, thinking she could use a "white knight." A grateful Brooke embraced him.... Stephen and Katie were furious that Steffy had made Brooke's mistake public, but Stephanie kept putting the blame back onto Brooke.... Ridge revealed that he'd followed Brooke up the trail. He was sure that Hope would eventually forgive her. Brooke asked if he believed that Steffy's tribute had been tampered with, but he didn't. Brooke recalled how Steffy had made Hope's "Hope For The Future" sign say, "Ho For The Future." "Right now I'm looking at the biggest HO in town," Ridge announced. Brooke was offended — until he noted that they were standing under the HO in Hollywood. Brooke finally managed to enjoy a laugh and they declared their love for each other. Awww!
Thursday
Liam was nervous when Steffy summoned him to her house. She asked him to help her find out who tampered with her computer, which made him incredibly uneasy. An IT investigator named Ed arrived and Steffy informed the guys she was hiring them both to find out who sabotaged her video tribute to Brooke. After Ed left to start his investigation, Steffy vowed to Liam that she will track down the culprit because her father's trust is the most important thing to her. Liam was conflicted.
Aggie walked into Oliver's pad to find her brother with singer Jason Castro. Oliver explained that Hope loves Jason's music and perhaps it will help to get Hope to forgive him. Jason went for a walk on the beach and Aggie told her brother that his and Brooke's scandal is all over the news. Oliver agonized over his estrangement with Hope but Aggie assured him that everything will be okay. She then shared that she opened herself up to Nick and stressed that he's separated from Bridget.
Brooke showed up at Bridget's place in search of Hope but the teen was already gone. Brooke expressed her worry as Bridget pointed out, "I can't believe this happened again." She then asked her mom if this is Deacon all over again and Brooke insisted that her tryst with Oliver was an accident. Brooke worried what Bridget said to Hope, but Bridget explained that she told Hope that their mother would never intentionally hurt her.
Stephanie was surprised when Hope showed up on her doorstep. Hope asked if Stephanie thought Brooke knew she was seducing Oliver. Steph opined that it was intentional and suggested that Hope stay far away from her mother. Stephanie then offered the guesthouse for Hope to stay in and she accepted. Hope's cell phone rang and she saw that it Oliver calling. Stephanie urged her to answer so Hope complied. Oliver begged her to come over to the beach house and she reluctantly agreed. After hanging up, Stephanie groused that Brooke will never change and urged Hope to see Oliver. Hope went to his house and he asked if she could ever forgive him.
Friday
Oliver begged Hope for forgiveness, but she asked him to give her some time. Oliver was glad to hear that she could forgive him eventually. Hope acknowledged that he hadn't hurt her on purpose, but still couldn't understand how he could've confused her with her mother. "I thought you knew the real me and who I am and what I want," she sighed, stating that the encounter with "her" hadn't been romantic. Oliver admitted that he's a guy and just wants to be with her, whenever and wherever, and reminded her that she'd promised him "something special" the night of her graduation party. Hope softened and said that when the time does come, she wants candles and roses. He was pleased to hear that she was willing to move forward. Later, Oliver surprised her by having Jason Castro come by and sing "Love Uncompromised" for her. As he performed, Hope took Oliver's hand and thought back to happy times in their relationship. "Thank you," she whispered when the song was over. They kissed, but Hope pictured him with her mother and pulled away. "I can't do this," she stammered and ran out.
Taylor told Whip that she's trying to believe that Steffy didn't make the incriminating Brooke tribute. Steffy joined them and insisted that she was innocent. Ridge came by Taylor's place and Steffy vowed to prove to him that she wasn't the one who'd revealed Brooke's secret. Ridge hoped that she could, but didn't want her back at Forrester until she's gotten control of her anger toward Brooke. "She cheated on you!" Steffy yelled. "When are you going to stop forgiving her?" Ridge asked her to respect his wife. Steffy was angry with him for not hearing her side, when he's willing to let what Brooke did slide. Steffy pleaded for her job back, but he refused. Later, Taylor assured Steffy that she does believe her innocence in the tribute debacle and bashed Brooke. She handed Steffy an envelope; in it, was a document saying that Steffy is entitled to 25 percent of Forrester. Steffy was thrilled.
Stephanie had the maid, Linda, add flowers to the guest house. Brooke came by and Steph revealed that she's having Hope move in. Brooke was furious, but Stephanie said that Hope came to her. "I'd rather she be raised by wolves," Brooke seethed. Stephanie countered that Hope isn't a child and can live where she wants. "You're a whore and your little girl finally knows it," Stephanie gloated. Ouch! Steph refused to let Hope end up like Brooke and didn't want Brooke to hurt her daughter anymore. Brooke angrily shoved Stephanie, knocking her unconscious.
