Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of March 30, 2009

Monday

Ridge made some calls about a dress and then Taylor came in, relieved to
hear Rick would keep quiet about Thomas. Ridge told her the terms of Rick's
deal. "I think it's about revenge," he surmised. "He loves having that power
over me." Ridge than revealed Rick had called a family meeting. Steffy came
in to crow about Rick being a good man and a worried Thomas joined them.
After Rick's meeting, Ridge accused Rick of playing the rest of the family.
"I still think you are an arrogant jerk...but you saved my life today, so
thanks," Thomas said, tentatively shaking Rick's hand and hugging his
sister. Rick then wondered if Ridge and Taylor would stand in his and
Steffy's way. Could they have a truce? Ridge gingerly shook his hand and
thanked him for saving Thomas. Then, a garment bag was delivered! Ridge
unzipped it, presenting Steffy with a stunning wedding gown he'd been
working on for years. He asked her to think long and hard on her life and
who she wants to spend it with. She giddily hugged both Ridge and Rick. Then
Ridge and Taylor went to return the dress downstairs so the kids could
"celebrate." Steffy was exuberant, so was Rick. They got smoochy as, alone,
Ridge told Taylor they had to trust Steffy to ultimately make the right
decision and come to her senses about Rick.

Pam, Katie, Bridget and Eric talked about Pam's release, worried what it
would mean for everyone's safety. Meanwhile, Brooke hugged Rick, relieved
he'd decided not to press charges against Thomas. He noted he still had to
tell people he wasn't in danger anymore or Eric wouldn't get rid of the
round-the-clock guards. "I'm doing what's best for me," he insisted, before
gathering everyone for the big meeting. He revealed the danger against him
had passed but didn't finger Thomas — even when his sister and aunts
flipped. Rick pulled Eric aside to reiterate his stance. "I'm very
optimistic about the future," he then told the room. Afterwards, Brooke
backed up his claims to her sisters, Bridget and Eric: "He's safe. It's
over!" They all hoped for peace.

Tuesday

Rick gloated to Brooke about his impending nuptials and Ridge being in his
debt. "Old Cheekbones has got to stop thinking I'm the scum of the earth,"
he crowed, as Brooke hugged him, hoping this was a new start for the family.
Then, Brooke called Ridge to meet her in the steam room and Marcus ran into
Steffy transporting her wedding gown in a garment bag. Awkwardness and
baleful glares ensued as Marcus gave Rick and Steffy his "condolences."
Brooke and Ridge steamed things up and looked forward to their family
healing. Afterwards, all dressed, they discussed Ridge designing Steffy's
wedding gown. Ridge claimed he's "just trying to be supportive." Brooke
noted it wasn't like him to be so "unconcerned," and wondered what Ridge was
up to. He admitted he's hoping Steffy will come to her senses. Doubtful,
since she and Rick were cavorting along the Santa Monica pier rather
adorably. Back at Forrester, Brooke and Ridge argued about Rick. Ridge
stopped just short of calling Rick an SOB, considering the 'B' was standing
right there. He said he wouldn't be able to handle losing another daughter.
Elsewhere, Rick and Steffy blissfully walked the beach and Rick gave Steffy
a ring.

In Eric's office, Bridget raved about her father's design work and then
copped to being Madame X and working for Jackie M. Speaking of Jackie, Owen
wondered why Jackie had called him back in considering she wasn't interested
in his designs. Well, she was impressed by his "other assets." Jackie needed
an assistant and legal go-to guy. He was "interested, in more ways than
one." Back at Forrester, Eric was shocked but proud of Bridget for proving
herself on her own terms. Now she could come back to Forrester and work for
family! Owen, who apparently carried champagne around for emergencies,
pulled some out of his bag to celebrate his and Jackie's new deal. They
toasted, with Jackie eyeing Owen like a filet mignon. Meanwhile, Bridget
wanted to see her gig at Jackie M through. Eric dubbed her "gutsy and
courageous," and they hugged. Later, she sailed into Jackie M and found Owen
with bubbly, celebrating "The Divine Miss M" hiring him. Bridget drank some
bubbly, too, giddy over Eric accepting her choices. She hugged Owen, who
kissed her and then pulled away apologetically. He wouldn't pursue her
unless she asked him to.

Wednesday

At Jackie M, Nick was shocked to hear his mom hired Owen but Jackie was
optimistic about Owen and Bridget both being good for the company. Of
course, then a Mr. Williams came by demanding two months worth of payments
on their loans. Jackie bought time by spilling that Madame X is Bridget.
"All you have to do is mention the Forrester name and the windows start
flying open," Jackie observed ruefully. Nick was wary about exploiting
Bridget in such a fashion but Jackie cited the advantages. Later, Nick
clearly had a lot on his mind and he admitted he was thinking about
Stephanie.

Stephanie came into Eric's office to complain about Rick and Steffy's
relationship. He was just looking forward to some peace within the family
and urged Stephanie to stop rumor-mongering. Then, Donna interrupted with
some erotic plans for a bottle of honey. Stephanie went off, dubbing the
hanky panky insulting and ranting about Rick and Steffy. Eric pointed out
Stephanie had only herself blame when it came to the lovers sharing a last
name since she'd lied to him about Ridge's paternity all those years.
Stephanie kept ranting, even calling Donna a slut. "The class, the style,
the elegance is all gone," she said of Forrester. Eric had enough! "Your
family? Your company? Your accomplishments?" he marveled, noting his designs
were a part of the company, too. "You have to go. I'm finished with this,"
he declared. "You're fired!" Shocked, Stephanie laughed bitterly and walked
out, telling Eric not to come knocking at her door later. Donna comforted
Eric, saying he'd done the right thing. "It's going to be a much better
place to work around here, without Stephanie."

Ridge and Taylor were glad to have sent Thomas off to James for some
much-needed help. Ridge comforted Taylor with a hug. Later, Stephanie
visited Ridge's office, telling him she'd gotten the ax. And she claimed she
was oddly okay with leaving. Alone in her office, she flashed back on years
with Eric at Forrester. When Eric dropped by, Stephanie truly wished he'd be
happy but told him he'd regret this day. And her work here was done, but it
wasn't the end of her road.

Thursday

Nick and Jackie asked Owen about his time at Forrester. Nick specifically
wanted to know how Stephanie fit into things. Owen told them things at
Forrester were often very tense. "Lots of arguments," he explained. Owen
said that Stephanie has the most power over there. "Everyone looks up to
her," Owen added, saying she was the most valuable asset.

Owen and Jackie looked at an empty loft. "This place is perfect for you,"
Owen told Jackie in a most flirtatious way. Jackie didn't think she was a
loft kind of person and told Gretchen, the realtor, she wasn't interested.

Stephanie's family, friends and co-workers surrounded her on her last day at
Forrester. Eric and Donna watched from the background. Felicia wanted to go
with her mom, but Stephanie said she'd be the only one exiting. "Just stay
here," she said calmly. Stephanie almost got choked up but managed to keep
it together. Stephanie left the building and went for a walk in the marina.
She looked at the seagulls and was clearly deep in thought. Stephanie
thought back on her early days with Eric. We saw some black and white scenes
of a young Eric/Stephanie. Stephanie maneuvered the rocks and walked closer
to the water.

Felicia went after her father for firing Stephanie; in fact all the kids
railed against him. "I am worried about her," Thorne said. Eric assured his
children that Stephanie "would be alright."

Friday

Ridge and Brooke marveled at how Eric had finally jettisoned Stephanie. "No
one can fill those shoes," sighed Ridge, before saying he wanted to "check
things out at the beach house." Over there, post-coital Steffy and Rick
cuddled on the couch. Steffy admired the ginormous rock on her finger before
they canoodled again. At Forrester, Ridge vehemently insisted they weren't
ready for marriage. Wisely, it was Brooke who dropped by the beach house.
She, Rick, and Steffy talked about the engagement. The kids wanted to marry
three months from now. Rick wanted a unique and special ceremony. Brooke
hoped they weren't rushing into things. Meanwhile, Ridge left Taylor a
message about dealing with the situation. Later, a rattled Brooke returned
to Ridge's office, where he continued to insist the wedding wouldn't happen.

Stephanie pensively stood on a cliff's edge overlooking the water as Nick
arrived at the marina. He called out to her. Eric, meanwhile, called in
Taylor to tell her about Steph's firing; he was worried about his ex and
hoped Taylor would be there for her. Nick escorted Stephanie onto the Shady
Marlin and she said she was just looking for peace and quiet. The rocks had
been a special place for her and Eric. Nick wasn't shocked to hear she'd
been axed and was amused as he listened to the details. Then, he talked
about Jackie M and they even referenced Massimo! Stephanie waxed
philosophical about love, her life and Eric. She marveled at how her life
had ended up, thanked Nick for the "port in the storm," and let herself out.
Nick sat there, looking contemplative. Back at Eric's, he continued to worry
what Stephanie would do and prayed she'd be alright. Steph then walked the
beach alone, with renewed hope.
