Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of May 10, 2010

Monday

"What is going on with the two of you, anyway?" Nick repeated to Jackie and Bridget, saying neither one could leave the room until they spilled. A knock on the door interrupted them — Nick was needed in shipping. Alone, Jackie reminded Bridget she must keep the secret that Owen is her baby's father for the rest of her life. Bridget feels Nick deserves to know the truth, but Jackie said it would destroy all of their happiness — Nick would leave Bridget "and find comfort in Aggie's arms."

Hope talked to Brooke about Stephanie and Steffy's desire to "get rid of all the Logans," adding that she doesn't appreciate Steffy being the spokesmodel for the bedroom line because now she can "prance around" in her underwear in front of Oliver. "You really like this boy, don't you?" smiled Brooke. Hope gushed about how nice and gorgeous and fun Oliver is. Brooke asked if Steffy was becoming a problem, saying she'd speak to Taylor if things got out of hand. Hope assured her mom she could handle her love life on her own.

Oliver showed an eager Whip the video for the "Hope for the Future" campaign. Whip remarked that he was surprised Forrester chose Steffy instead of Brooke to be spokesmodel. Oliver confided he has a thing for both Hope and Steffy. Whip marveled at the odds of his cousin liking both Brooke's daughter and Taylor's daughter. "What, did you go to the Ridge Forrester school for potential playboys?" he cracked. Oliver insisted Hope is the one he wants to be with. She's nice and real, and not affected by the "Hollywood scene." But Steffy's hot, admitted Oliver. Steffy's new stepdad Whip pronounced that Steffy is a girl who gets what she wants. "Don't blow it with Hope," he advised.

Brooke interrupted Jackie and Bridget's argument, saying she got Bridget's message. Nick entered, and they shared the good news of Bridget's pregnancy. Bridget admitted she is feeling "stress" as Jackie scowled at her. Jackie brought up how high-risk Bridget's pregnancy is (to remind Bridget to keep her mouth shut). Nick chastised his mother, saying he wouldn't tolerate negative thinking. He thanked Bridget for giving him "the greatest gift a husband can give a wife." Brooke promised to keep Bridget and the baby in her prayers. Nick walked Brooke out, giving Jackie another chance to badger Bridget into keeping her mouth shut. Bridget argued she was going to tell Nick the truth. Jackie retorted that Bridget owes her for sleeping with her husband. Don't ruin all our lives for a baby that may never be born, warned Jackie.

Whip counseled Oliver to take Hope on a proper date as Hope walked in. They pretended to be talking about sports, then talk shifted to the video. Whip told Hope he loved it. Hope pressed Oliver for what they were really talking about. "My girlfriend," he smiled. He praised her for all her good qualities, saying he feels happy and lucky to be with her. Hope shared that she just had the same conversation with her mom. They kissed.

Brooke realized she forgot her purse in Jackie's office. She went back to retrieve it, just in time to spy Jackie and Bridget fighting. "If the baby doesn't make it, no one needs to know that the child is Owen's," cried Jackie. "If the baby survives, that's when we'll tell them." Jackie took Bridget's hand pleadingly, as Brooke watched through the glass.

Tuesday

Brooke told Ridge she saw Bridget and Jackie arguing when she went back to retrieve her purse. They discussed Hope's college options and what will happen if the Hope for the Future campaign takes off. Brooke beamed that it will be a triumph for Hope.

Hope posed for photos for the campaign as Oliver looked on. Pam and Steffy entered, laughing about how Pam got rid of Donna with an exterminator. "Two Logans down, two more to go," snarked Steffy. Ridge called Hope's cell and she exited. Steffy and Pam badmouthed Hope's photo shoot to Taylor, calling it stiff and boring. They added that Hope should just go away to college and leave Forrester to the professionals.

Hope entered Ridge's office to find a rep from Eastern Valley College there offering her a full presidential scholarship. "Does that mean you're going to college back on the East coast?" asked Oliver. Steffy and Pam entered as Hope and Oliver exited. Steffy grilled Ridge on Hope's plans. He said the launch might affect her decision. Steffy and Pam plotted to "crash" the campaign to get rid of Hope.

Hope talked to a Forrester employee about what a big decision going away to college is, and how hard it would be to leave Oliver behind where Steffy could get her lingerie-wearing clutches in him. "Excuse me?" interrupted Steffy. The Forrester employee beat a hasty retreat as Steffy and Hope had a mini-catfight. Steffy remarked that Hope thinks she's a "ho," but she is just doing what it takes to make the company succeed. Hope retorted that not everyone has to succeed by wearing underwear.

Brooke asked Oliver how he feels about Hope. She's his girlfriend, he responded. Brooke warned that he needs to watch out for Steffy because her feelings aren't genuine. An eavesdropping Taylor burst in: "My daughter's feelings aren't genuine?" Oliver ran out. Brooke asked Taylor if Steffy aligning herself with Stephanie and taking on the "anti-Logan cause" didn't alarm her. No, retorted Taylor. Brooke said Taylor was either oblivious or encouraging her daughter. Ridge entered, and Taylor asked his help getting Brooke to stop badmouthing Steffy. Brooke defended herself, saying Steffy is only interested in Oliver because he is Hope's boyfriend. Can't we all just get along? asked Ridge. Brooke worried that Steffy will sabotage the new line just to punish Hope. Taylor proclaimed that it's natural for Steffy's anger to be transferred onto Brooke's daughter. Taylor urged tolerance, but Brooke spit that if Steffy hurts Hope, "she will have to answer to me."

Steffy handed Hope some notes on the press conference tonight. Hope was blindsided that she had to give a speech. Oliver entered, suggesting a teleprompter. Steffy said no, but Oliver said everyone uses one, "even the President." Steffy backed off. Hope thanked Oliver for sticking up for her and probably saving the campaign. Hope fretted about selling the new line to the fashion writers, but Oliver told her she'll be fine. Her dad has faith in her and so does he. Oliver and Hope kissed as Steffy spied on them.

"What's the plan?" asked Pam conspiratorially. "It all comes down to this press conference tonight," replied a scheming Steffy. "I know exactly what to do to get rid of Hope and Brooke — for good."

Wednesday

At Forrester, Brooke daydreamed about Steffy and Stephanie plotting to rid the company of all things Logan. Ridge snapped her out of it and told her not to worry. Meanwhile, in the showroom, Steffy and Pam actually were plotting to sabotage Hope's press conference. Oliver accused Steffy of trying to "rattle" Hope.

At the beach house, Donna tearfully remembered her mother. Stephen assured his daughter that Stephanie would pay for what she had done. He pledged to defend his girls against Stephanie and Pam, declaring that the days of the Forresters bullying the Logans were over forever. Katie didn't want her father to focus his energy on the Forresters, but Stephen was determined. He started speculating that perhaps Stephanie had even killed Beth on purpose, to drive a wedge between Eric and Donna. The girls and their father embraced, while Stephen lamented the fact that they were never able to say a real goodbye to Beth. Stephen seethed that the Forresters had caused the Logans so much pain. He apologized for not having been there before, but he vowed to protect them now at all costs. "The Forresters will never hurt the Logans again. Not ever!" he exclaimed.

The fashion media began arriving for the press conference. Jarret tried to get a statement from Steffy, but she said she would prefer to wait for Hope to do all the talking. Brooke arrived and warned Pam and Steffy that they should not attempt to harm her daughter in any way. "If you mess with Hope, you mess with me!" she said defiantly. Pam and Steffy giggled. Backstage, Oliver gave Hope a pep talk and a long romantic smooch.

Ridge stepped onstage and welcomed the press to the debut of Forrester's newest collection. He proudly announced that the company had been returned to his mother and father, and presented "Hope for the Future." The promotional video began playing amid loud applause. Meanwhile, a devious Pam unplugged the teleprompter. After the video ended, Hope was introduced and she walked onto the runway. She freaked out when she glanced at the teleprompter and it was just a black screen. Simultaneously, the neon sign behind her reading "Hope Logan" began sputtering and flickering. The "P" and "E" at the end of her name blacked out, leaving the words "Ho Logan" flashing. Hope covered her face in humiliation. The tittering crowd buzzed. An evil smirk crept across Steffy's face as she watched from behind the curtain.

Thursday

Hope stood alone onstage as people laughed at the "HO" in lights behind her. Oliver smiled at her and she regained her composure. Hope said she is delivering a message to young people around the world: our time has come. The "Hope For The Future" line is sensitive to the struggling economy and sinking environment left to young people by the generation before. "You gave us problems, we'll give you solutions." Hope thanked her parents, Ridge and Brooke, Oliver for the music, and Steffy for the PR. "Get up, get active and take back the world!" advised Hope as the crowd applauded. Privately, Pam and Steffy cursed that their scheme blew up in their faces.

Ridge and Brooke found Hope and asked what happened. She didn't know. Jarret the reporter asked what inspired Hope to recover. Hope excused herself to find Oliver. Taylor and Stephanie praised Hope's cool, while Thorne fretted that he checked everything before the show. What went wrong? Brooke said it was sabotage — and Steffy was responsible.

Hope thanked Oliver for saving her. Steffy walked in and Hope accused her of purposely wrecking her presentation. Steffy denied it but Hope thanked her for proving how great Hope is under fire. "After that, there is no way I am going to college in Boston. I'm staying right here." Steffy asked Oliver for a moment alone, and told Hope her line is not going to cut it. "I am the future of this company and you're not going to stand in my way," retorted Hope. Steffy launched into a diatribe about how Ho and Logan are synonymous, and Brooke has loved too many men — "my uncle, my grandfather, Deacon" — for Steffy to respect Brooke's love for Ridge. Hope bristled at talk of her biological father Deacon — Ridge raised her, just as he raised Steffy. Steffy flipped, saying Ridge didn't raise her because Brooke and her "art of seduction" took him away. Steffy started at the company in shipping, but Hope started higher. Steffy spit that Hope wouldn't even have a job if Phoebe was alive. "I miss Phoebe too," said Hope. Steffy wants Hope to go away to college, but she won't leave Forrester or her boyfriend. "You're not getting rid if me — and that's final."

Jarret asked Pam who might have been behind the sabotage, promising her the cover of "Eye On Fashion" if she spills. Thorne interrupted and whisked his gabby aunt away.

Stephanie accused Brooke of sour grapes — she's just badmouthing Steffy because Steffy helped them get Forrester back. Brooke argued that Steffy is a troubled young woman who will do anything to get Hope out of the company. Ridge vowed to get to the bottom of what happened, and confronted Steffy. "How would I know?" she lied. "It was a PR event," Ridge pointed out. Steffy admitted not wanting Hope there. "Why did I get the company back?" Steffy railed to Ridge. "For you and me. I am your only living daughter!" Ridge asked again, and Steffy allowed she "had something to do with it." Ridge decreed that if they can't all work together and respect each other, he's pulling Steffy as head of PR for the campaign. "You did this to your own sister," he lamented. "My sister is dead!" Steffy cried. Ridge took Steffy in his arms, as Hope and Brooke looked on.

Friday

Ridge and Brooke lay in bed talking about how bad he feels removing Steffy from the "Hope For The Future" campaign. Brooke remarked that now they know Steffy's behavior stems from the pain of losing her sister. "Just keep doing what you're doing," she advised. "Steffy will come around." Brooke thanked Ridge for backing Hope. He rued that he comes home every night to Brooke and Hope, which Steffy thinks he should be doing with her and HER mother, Taylor.

Also in bed, Whip told Taylor he understands why Ridge took Steffy off the campaign. "At any other company she'd be fired outright," he pointed out. Taylor worried that there is no telling what Steffy will do next. Whip relayed his cousin Oliver's concern that Steffy keeps throwing herself at him. Taylor assured him that Steffy knows Oliver is dating Hope and "she respects that."

Pam offered to take the heat off Steffy by confessing her part in sabotaging the campaign. Steffy said not to worry, she is just reloading and will bring down Hope next time for good. And Oliver will help them! He will break Hope's heart, she will leave town for college, and Brooke will follow. In fact, Oliver is cooking dinner for Hope tonight. Hope is a little girl, and she can't give Oliver what he needs. Steffy can.

Oliver and Hope enjoyed dinner, and discussed again her triumph at the press conference. Hope marveled that she is so much more mature than the older Steffy, and vowed not to leave the company because of her. Oliver confided he is falling for her. They kissed and things got heated. Hope admitted she has "never done this before." Oliver promised to make their first time together special but Hope said she's not ready. "Please tell me I'm worth waiting for," she pleaded. He agreed. Hope thanked him for their "wonderful night" and left.

Stephanie yelled at Pam for being a bad influence on Steffy. Pam bragged that Steffy's latest plan will get rid of Hope and Brooke forever. Steph worried Steffy's stunts will jeopardize her relationship with Ridge. Pam said the kid is "just like you," recalling how Stephanie had Eric and Massimo wrapped around her little finger back in the day. Steffy has it all under control, Pam smiled. Stephanie buried her head in her hands.

Hope entered Ridge and Brooke's bedroom, gushing about Oliver and their dinner. Ma and Pa smiled knowingly at each other.

Oliver came in from a swim to find candles lit all over his living room and Steffy standing there in lingerie. You should go… he stammered. "I'm here to say yes," she purred. Steffy danced for Oliver, but he moved away, saying he is into Hope. "Kiss me," she purred, straddling him. "Hope won't find out. I'll do anything you want." Oliver called her on her plan, saying she was just using him to get to Hope, break her heart, and get her out of the company. Steffy climbed off, sneering that he has gotten himself in the middle of "Logan vs. Forrester," and has to play ball. She straddled him again and promised to reward him with sex, money and power at the office — a new exciting life, with Forrester backing. "Take me," she whispered. Oliver's eyes roamed around the room as Steffy kissed his neck. They settled on Hope's picture.
