Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of Nov. 16, 2009

Monday

Although he was a no show at Bill and Katie's wedding, Eric couldn't skip out on the reception since it was being held at his home. Donna checked on her husband, who refused to welcome Bill. Instead, he stayed out on the terrace and sulked. When Brooke and Ridge arrived, Donna explained that Eric was having a tough time and Ridge agreed with his dad's attitude.

Brooke and Donna were uncomfortable when Katie and Bill arrived. "What's going on?" Katie asked, but her sisters covered and didn't reveal Eric's reticence about participating. As the the other guests filed in, Bill spied a moody Eric on the terrace and approached him. Bill thanked Eric for opening his home and wanted to share a cigar but Eric turned him down. It was time for the toast, so Justin lauded Katie for showing the world that Bill has a heart. Next, Brooke toasted that Katie was starting an "amazing adventure" with Bill.

Eric finally ventured into the house and Justin observed Donna's concern for her husband. Justin pointed out to Donna how she has always supported Eric, and now it's time he do the same with her hosting THE CATWALK. Justin later assured Eric that he will always have a place at Forrester as a designer but that didn't appease Eric. Justin then asked if Eric has watched THE CATWALK yet and Eric tersely said he hadn't.

Before leaving for their honeymoon, Katie thanked everyone for sharing the special day with them and fondly remembered Storm. With great unease, Bill noted that the Logans were "an exceptional bunch" and that it was a great feeling to be part of their family. Instead of tossing her bouquet, Katie handed it to Beth and hoped she would see her parents' own wedding soon. Amidst many tears, Katie and Bill departed. When they were on the road, Bill refused to divulge their honeymoon destination. However, Katie instructed her new husband to pull over, which happened to be at the lovers lane where Brooke and Donna spent lots of time in the past. While the newlyweds were making out, Katie noticed that Bill's necklace was gone and he admitted that he lost it earlier in the day.

Tuesday

Donna grew tired of Pam's antics on THE CATWALK but Justin said that their on-air rivalry was "ratings gold." Stephanie showed up and observed Donna and Justin sharing a close moment. Steph then tracked down Pam and revealed that their mother was coming for a visit. Both sisters were perplexed as to why so Pam left to call Ann. Stephanie dissed Donna for working so closely with Justin, which is hurting Eric. Stephanie advised Donna to walk away from THE CATWALK but Donna was annoyed by Steph's interference. Pam returned and revealed that Ann was already on a plane. Pam worried that their mother was coming to drag her back to Chicago.

Nick and Bridget excitedly showed up at the fertility clinic for Sandy's implantation. They grew concerned when Sandy seemed to be a no-show but she finally arrived, then became anxious about the procedure. The doctor explained it would only take 10-20 minutes; Sandy announced she was ready. Nick and Bridget took each one of Sandy's hands but she pulled away from him. Observing her discomfort, Nick stood behind a curtain. After the procedure, Nick and Bridget kissed, which seemed to make Sandy feel good about what she's doing.

Jackie was thrilled about another potential grandchild. Whip walked into her office and asked what the excitement was all about. Jackie explained that Nick and Bridget's surrogate was scheduled to be implanted. "Thank god for Sandy Sommers," crowed Jackie. She wanted to visit the clinic to see how the implantation was going and took Whip and Owen along with her. The showed up at the clinic, where they met up with Nick and Bridget. They gleefully headed off to a waiting room but Whip lingered behind. He crept into Sandy's room and was stunned when he saw her. "Agnes?" he asked as Sandy looked at him in shock.

Wednesday

Although Sandy's pregnancy had yet to be confirmed, Nick and Bridget were anxious to celebrate the start of their new family. She changed into the flannel mom pajamas that he bought her but the p.j.'s soon came off and the Marones had sex.

Sandy pretended not to know Whip but he insisted that they're well
acquainted since they're cousins! Dropping her pretense, Sandy wasn't happy to see Whip. He asked what happened since the last time he saw her years ago, when she waitressed at a bar before dropping out of sight. Sandy dodged that question and he surprised her with the news that he works at Jackie M with Nick and Bridget. When Whip asked why Sandy had changed her name, Jackie and Owen suddenly entered the room. Whip introduced them to Sandy, and reluctantly acted like he hadn't know her before. A bubbly Jackie expressed her gratitude to Sandy for serving as her son's surrogate. After Jackie and Owen left, Whip went back to his previous line of questioning, asking why she never returned his calls or emails. She explained how Nick and Bridget chose her from a pool of surrogate candidates and she was dedicated to bringing something beautiful to their lives.

Ann called Stephanie and Pam to let them know that she arrived early. Steph said she would come to the airport but Ann said she'd already arranged for a taxi and hung up. Ann hopped a cab, which brought her to Malibu. She remembered fondly how she once visited the spot with her daughters one Christmas. Instructing the driver not to wait for her, Ann walked out on the pier, then called Stephanie and Pam to come meet her. "I want to see my girls," Ann said. After hanging up, she took a vial of pills from her purse and dumped them. Stephanie and Pam rushed over and were surprised to see their mom dressed in red, her least favorite color. The gals were baffled by Ann's mysterious behavior. "What's going on with you?" Stephanie asked. Ann then announced, "I'm dying ... I don't have much longer." Pam didn't believe her; Stephanie remained silent. Ann then took her daughters' hands and started to hum, "Beautiful Dreamer."

Thursday

Katie called Brooke from Bill's private jet but the new bride still didn't know where she was headed to for her honeymoon. After the sisters hung up, Ridge came into the office and started macking on Brooke but they were soon interrupted when Donna and Steffy trotted in with models to show off his newest designs. However, Ridge was more excited about working closely with his daughter than dresses. Everyone looked over their new publicity photos and Ridge dissed Jackie M's Adam and Eve campaign. Ridge and Steffy were then surprised to learn from Donna that Ann is in town. Ridge couldn't help being worried about how Ann's visit will affect his mother. "My grandmother is a very self-centered woman," Ridge noted but Brooke hoped that the women could get closer.

On the plane, Bill and Katie engaged in some heavy petting as they were anxious to join the Mile High Club. After gaining membership, the naked newlyweds drank martinis and exchanged sweet nothings. "I'm so grateful that you chose me to be your wife," Katie purred.... Donna returned home to smooch with Eric. She shared the news that Ann is in town and Eric was glad the "crusty old broad" was visiting her daughters. Eric explained to Donna how Stephanie endured a brutal childhood because she was abused by her own father. Eric flashbacked to when Stephanie and Ann made amends and told Donna that there's nothing Steph wouldn't do for her mother.

Pam got emotional over her mother's nonchalant announcement that she is dying from advanced pancreatic cancer, while Stephanie remained stoically quiet. "I'm okay with it," Ann said about her fate and refused Stephanie's advice to be taken to the hospital. Ann insisted that it's the last place she wants to go to and her daughters finally agreed. They were surprised when Ann said she needed to get back to the airport because her flight to Chicago was leaving in two hours. Stephanie and Pam ordered Ann to stay in L.A. At first, Ann resisted but Stephanie declared that she would be staying with her at Taylor's house. "I'm not taking no for an answer," Stephanie affirmed and Ann gave in. As they were walking Ann to the car, she was suddenly stricken with pain.

Friday

Pam and Stephanie were surprised to hear that Ann didn't have any
painkillers with her. Steph called Taylor and asked if it was okay
to have Ann stay in the guest room. Taylor immediately gave her consent so Stephanie and Pam chauffeured their mom over to Taylor's house. There, Ann lay down but started barking orders as she winced in pain. Taylor said she would prescribe meds to make Ann feel more comfortable and she and Stephanie headed out to the pharmacy. Alone with her mother, Pam shifted easily into caregiver mode. "Those fantasies you had about smothering me with a pillow, now would be the time," Ann moaned. Pam observed that her mother hasn't been taking care of her nails and started applying polish. Ann admitted that Pam wasted her youth taking care of her but pointed out that she and Pam were a lot alike and Pam seemed flattered by the comparison. Ann was suddenly stricken with terrible pain and Pam frantically tried to call Stephanie but didn't get an answer. Pam then called 911 and paramedics arrived. As Ann writhed in pain, the paramedics suspected that she had a blood clot and needed to be taken to the hospital. Pam was conflicted whether her mom should go or not.

Steffy encountered Brooke while searching for Ridge. Steffy wanted to plan a family dinner while her great grandmother was in town. Brooke surmised that Ann had come to town to get Stephanie's forgiveness. Steffy went home to see Ann and was surprised to find the house empty and a messed-up bed in the guest room.

Taylor impressed on Stephanie that Ann should be in a hospital but Steph said that her mother won't go. Stephanie felt bad for bringing Ann into Taylor's house but she pointed out that it was Stephanie's home, too. After picking up the medication, the ladies returned home to find a distraught Pam crouched in front of the guest room door. Stephanie became upset when Pam said she called 911 and Ann was taken to the hospital. "What have you done?!" Stephanie exploded. They went to the hospital, where Stephanie demanded that her mother be allowed to return home at once. A doctor explained that Ann had a blood clot and she couldn't be released until that crisis was managed. Stephanie and Pam entered Ann's hospital room, where she begged her daughters, "Don't let me die here."
