Monday
In the hospital, Taylor reeled from the news that she gave birth to Brooke's
baby. Brooke explained that the hospital had made a clerical error and that
her eggs were donated for research. "A clerical error?!" an incredulous
Taylor cried. Brooke explained to Taylor that her baby is all hers, that no
matter what egg was used, the boy belongs to Nick and Taylor and she can’t
change that. Nick assured her of the same thing and comforted his wife with
a hug. Taylor thanked Brooke for donating her marrow, and asked if years
from now, Brooke would wonder if things could have been different, but
Brooke was certain that this did not change things for her. Brooke left, and
Nick assured Taylor that everything would be okay.
Eric berated Stephanie for her role in Brooke's rape, while Donna hid on the
terrace. La Forrester begged for Eric's forgiveness and asked him to not let
what happened come between them. She even offered to apologize to Brooke. A
lot had changed, Eric told her. Steph left still thinking there might be a
chance for reconciliation. Donna came out of hiding and asked who makes Eric
happy — her or Stephanie?
Ridge went to the hospital as soon as he heard about Taylor and was
surprised to run into Brooke there. She explained that she was there
donating her marrow to Nick and Brooke's baby and asked Ridge to keep it
quiet. Dr. Caron thanked Brooke for helping out in a pinch and Ridge, having
overheard the doctor refer to Nick and Taylor"s baby as "your little boy,"
asked Brooke what she meant by that.
Tuesday
In the hospital, Taylor and Nick worried about their son's health. The nurse
came in and informed them that the bone marrow transplant went well. Taylor
still had problems accepting that the baby is actually Nick and Brooke's.
Nick tried to cheer her up by discussing possible names for the baby. Taylor
revealed that she's always liked the name Jack. "There's something about the
name Jack that I like, too," replied Nick, who is, of course, played by
Jack
Wagner. After, the new parents admired their son and Nick listed three
possible positions of success that their child would grow up to have.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Ridge congratulated Brooke on donating bone
marrow to Nick and Taylor's son. He noted that the baby is biologically hers
and wondered why Brooke doesn't want to be a part of the child's life. Ridge
called her the baby's guardian angel. He continued to prod her about why
she's not fighting for the child. "That's just not who you are," he stated.
She explained that she'd agreed to be an anonymous egg donor for Bridget's
research and that there had been a mix-up at the hospital. Ridge was
incredulous. Brooke later urged Ridge to be
with her instead of Ashley. "I am not going to let you slip away from me
again," Brooke stated.
Stephanie went to see Brooke, but Donna stopped her and confronted Stephanie
about being partially responsible for Brooke's rape. Stephanie argued that
she didn't cause Brooke to get raped, but Donna disagreed. Donna gloated
that Brooke and Ridge are now closer than ever, but Steph didn't believe it.
"You're about to be burned," Donna warned her.
Wednesday
Bridget escorted Brooke home from the hospital. "I don't want you doing
anything strenuous," ordered Dr. Bridget. She noticed her mom was
distracted and assumed it was because Brooke now knew she was the
mother of Nick's baby. Brooke recalled telling Ridge this fact and hoped he
could get past it. Brooke then experienced a horrible memory of her rape and
started to freak out. Bridget tried to comfort her, but Brooke's anger
towards Stephanie only grew.
Ridge wasn't happy when Stephanie showed up at his front door. "There's
nothing here for you, Mother," he growled, then reamed her for leaving town
after Brooke's rape. Stephanie apologized for her "terrible lapse of
judgment" but Ridge said he could never forget her part in the attack.
Ridge explained that despite her best efforts, he and Brooke are closer than
ever because of the rape. Steph promised not to interfere in his private
life and vowed that she would make amends with Brooke. Though Ridge ordered
her to, "stay away from
Brooke," Stephanie insisted she needed to see her. Ridge said that
Brooke was plagued with anxiety attacks and had a lot of healing still to
do.
Felicia was surprised to hear from Eric that her mother was back in town and
hoped she didn't find out about Donna. Eric insisted he would tell Stephanie
about his new relationship when the time was right. "Mother is the glue that
holds this family together," Felicia pointed out. Eric told his daughter
to butt out. He then headed over to Brooke's house, where he asked if
Stephanie
had been by yet. "I don't want her here!" Brooke exclaimed. "I don't want to
see that woman ever again!" Eric assured Brooke that he would tell Stephanie
to stay away. After Eric departed, Ridge called to tip off his ex about
Stephanie. Of course, the doorbell rang and Brooke
opened the door to Stephanie. "Get out! Get out!" Brooke screamed.
Thursday
Eric left a voicemail for Stephanie not to approach Brooke. "Stephanie is
the last person in the world she wants to see," he lamented to Ridge, who
said that Brooke is full of so much rage that she's no longer dealing with
her rape. Eric worried what Brooke's reaction would be if she saw Stephanie.
Eric worried that Brooke's recent procedure at the hospital (which
unbeknownst to him was to donate bone marrow) was related to the rape. Ridge
discreetly explained that it wasn't.
"I'm so sorry, Brooke," pleaded Stephanie, but Brooke screamed for her to
get
out. Stephanie wouldn't leave and her presence only brought back horrible
flashbacks of Andy. "That bastard would never had raped me if it weren't for
you!" charged Brooke. Stephanie urged her to talk about the assault.
Brooke then recounted every ugly detail about that fateful night; how Andy
broke into her house and attacked her. Though Brooke wanted to stop reliving
the
nightmare, Stephanie pushed her to continue to unload the pain. When
Brooke started to cry, Stephanie stressed that she didn't deserve what
happened
and apologized profusely.
Thorne admitted to Katie that he can't imagine what his mother could have
done to drive Eric into Donna's arms. "What did she do to deserve that?"
Thorne wondered, then he observed that Katie knew something. After some
prodding, Katie finally confessed Stephanie's role in Brooke's rape and
Thorne was shocked. "I can only imagine the hell she's going through because
of my mother," Thorne groaned. Katie said her sister was lucky to have
people "like you" who care about her. Thorne smiled and said, "I think you
Katie Logan could be very good luck for me."
Friday
Stephanie took responsibility for the rape, but Brooke called her a liar.
Ms.
Logan proceeded to unleash her fury on Steph for her reprehensible actions,
then ordered her to leave. "I just want you to know that you and Ridge have
my blessing," Stephanie announced. "I'm not going to stand in your way."
Though an
incredulous Brooke sneered at the overdue declaration, Steph confessed
that she realized her twisted machinations have driven away the ones she
loved so she needed to change. As a first step, La Forrester offered an
olive branch to Brooke, who refused it. "I'm surrounded by love and I'm
stronger than I've even been," Brooke stated smugly. Stephanie insisted she
was still glad she came to see Brooke and left.
Rick and Ashley boarded the private jet in Paris to head home. Ridge called
to check on Ash and apologized for being out of touch. After reporting that
Taylor had her baby, Ridge proclaimed his love to Ashley. "I love you, too,"
she purred, much to Rick's chagrin.
Donna told Eric that she wasn't the right image as the spokesmodel for
Forrester Creations and suggested that he be the new face in advertising.
Eric scoffed at the notion. "I'm not young," he pointed out ,but Donna
disagreed. The conversation turned serious and she lamented that she didn't
want to lose Eric, pointing out how much his children hate her now. Eric was
touched and agreed to try out Donna's ad campaign. After his mistress
left, Eric got a haircut in his office and Stephanie showed up. After
observing his new cologne and clothes, she said, "You're having an affair."
Steph assumed it was Jackie, which he denied. Donna entered and
Stephanie ordered her to leave. Eric said Donna wasn't going anywhere.
"You might want to ask yourself why I'm here, Stephanie," Donna coyly
advised. Steph realized what that meant and blasted Eric for being "an old
fool" by getting involved with "another son's reject."
As Brooke rested on her sofa, Ridge arrived and was sorry to hear that his
mother had paid a visit. "There's nothing stopping us from what we want,"
Brooke noted. "Or is there?" Ridge admitted that her baby with Nick would be
a painful reminder but Brooke assured they could get past that together. She
urged him to break off his engagement to Ashley. "Come back to me, Ridge,"
Brooke pleaded."
