Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of September 15, 2008

Monday

Thorne pushed Donna out of the Forrester mansion, and the security guards dragged her away. Donna rushed to Brooke's house and shared the news that Eric had come out of his coma. The two sisters embraced. Then Donna told the other part of the story. "There's been a huge misunderstanding," she began. Donna explained that she was in one of the guest rooms with Owen. She noted that she had been sad and lonely and "Owen was comforting me...Eric saw us in bed together." Donna pointed out that nothing had happened with Owen, "but Eric thinks that's what he saw." Brooke looked at her sister disapprovingly. She asked for details on how Owen was "comforting" her. Donna admitted that Owen was kissing her. Brooke tried to be sympathetic. She suggested that she try to explain the situation to Eric, but Donna said that she had been kicked out by the entire family. Donna dialed the house and demanded to be put on the phone with Eric. Stephanie said that was out of the question. "You can't keep me from seeing my own husband," Donna pleaded. Click — Stephanie hung up the phone. Donna was horrified. "They are going to poison him against me," Donna worried. Brooke thought Ridge might be able to help counteract this.

Ridge explained to his father that Pam had gone off her meds and "it's been downhill ever since." The family vowed to protect Eric from Pam and Donna.
"We love you far too much," Ridge assured him. Felicia claimed that Stephanie had been more of a wife to Eric lately than Donna. Stephanie kissed Eric on his forehead as the family circled around him. "I love you. All of you," he said in a whisper. "I lost my way," he admitted, alluding to his marriage to Donna. "I'm where I belong if you will have me," he continued. "Of course we will, Daddy," said Felicia, tears falling down her cheeks.

Ridge told Eric's doctor that Eric caught Donna in one of the bedrooms with another man. Eric took Stephanie's hand as his children rallied around him. Thorne gave Stephanie full credit for their dad's recovery.

Brooke called Ridge and asked to see Eric and wanted to bring Donna with her. Ridge didn't think it was a good idea for either of them to visit. Brooke gave Donna the harsh verdict. "The family wants to be with Eric alone," she said. "I am his family. I'm his wife," Donna complained.

Later, Stephanie paid Donna a visit. "Are you here to hear my side of the story?"
Donna asked. Stephanie said she doesn't want Donna to hound the family. "He wants to be with his family. He wants to be with me," Stephanie told a wide-eyed Donna. "Are you insane?" Donna asked. "You gave up that right when you slept with another man," Stephanie said, pointing out that sex got her into Eric's arms and ultimately pushed her out of them. Stephanie told Donna that she had tried to tell her about Eric's recovery. She had come to over to the house, where she caught Donna in bed with Owen. "He will forgive me," Donna insisted. "I will get my husband back and you will not stop me."

Taylor sat in the dark. Rick came in to find her and put his arms around her. She told him she couldn't concentrate on reading. Taylor thought there was something wrong with her. She couldn't get Jack to fall asleep. Rick thought Jack was picking up on her tense vibes. Taylor didn't want any mothering help from Brooke. Taylor and Rick were pacing around the house; they couldn't get Jack to stop crying. "Maybe we need to accept the fact that we need help," Rick said. Rick suggested they call Nick. "No," Taylor cried.

Tuesday

Brooke told Rick she's worried about baby Jack. Ridge interrupted their conversation and didn't believe Brooke's story that Donna wasn't doing anything improper with Owen. Try as she did, Brooke couldn't convince him.
Ridge was thrilled, actually, that Donna was out of Eric's life. "That was a major source of stress for him," Ridge thought. Brooke wondered if it was Eric or Stephanie who decided that Donna shouldn't come around. Brooke agreed that Donna being caught in bed with Owen "was a mistake." Ridge claimed Stephanie's involvement in Eric's recovery was as close to a "divine intervention" as he'd ever seen. Brooke acknowledged that Ridge would protect his father at any cost. However, she wanted Ridge to agree that if Eric wanted to see Donna, it would be "his choice — not Stephanie's." Ridge agreed.

Rick and Bridget went up to see Eric and greeted him with big hugs. "You had us worried for a minute," Rick said as they smiled. Rick told him that Brooke wanted to visit. Eric said that would be fine. Marcus rushed into the Forrester's foyer on his way to find Eric. "I'm really glad to see you," Marcus said as he gave Eric a hug. Marcus showed him Donna's letter and offered to read it aloud. Eric listened intently to Donna's words. Thorne and a security guard ushered Marcus out of Eric's room. Eric managed to grab the letter and hide it from Thorne. Eric then began to read the letter on his own. He seemed deeply affected when he read her reasons for being found in bed with Owen. "I will never give up on you," Donna wrote. Stephanie came in and saw the letter. She immediately tore it up and threw it away. However, Eric still had the last page of Donna's letter and as he reread it, memories of Donna flashed through his head.

Rick tracked down Brooke and overheard her on the phone with Nick asking to see baby Jack. Brooke didn't think Jack was getting what he needed from Taylor. "I'm going to be there for him," Brooke told her grown son. Rick tried to convince her not to get involved in Jack and Taylor's life. "I'm his mother too," Brooke noted.

Earlier, Donna tried to explain to Marcus that Eric was the only man she'd ever loved. She asked him to deliver a letter to Eric. Marcus agreed and immediately headed out. However, as he left her house he found Owen at the front door. Marcus told Owen to please leave, but Owen entered anyway. Donna and Owen made eye contact. "They kicked me out of my own house," Donna explained. She went on to remind Owen that she was a married woman. Owen claimed they had something special. Donna asked him to help her make Eric understand that what he saw in that room "was just his wife being comforted." She made it clear that she didn't want to end her marriage. "I'm hurt and disappointed for you," Owen said. He predicted that Donna's future as a Forrester would be a constant conflict for her. "We can't see each other anymore," Donna told Owen. He didn't want to hear it, but Donna insisted. Owen refused. "I love you," he declared. "I love my husband," Donna replied. Owen pulled Donna into a passionate kiss.

Wednesday

Ridge and Brooke talked wedding. "I'd be happy marrying you in a gunny sack," sighed Brooke. "Good thing for you I don't want to wear a gunny sack," cracked Ridge before kissing her and leaving. Brooke then rushed over to talk to Nick about Jack. Nick was in denial about Bridget being gone from the tot's life. Brooke noted he had other problems: Jack and Taylor weren't bonding. They had a talk about Nick's various baby issues and Nick mused that things would've been different had they stayed together. (Not that again...) They skipped down Memory Lane for a second and Nick even double checked to make sure Brooke's still getting married.

At Taylor's, she flashed back on conceiving Jack and the whole egg swap debacle. As she held babbling little Jack, she looked decidedly emotional. Steffy dropped by to visit, noting Jack was having a good day. Taylor told Steffy she loves all her kids but "something is different this time." Steffy urged her not to get down on herself and they had a chat about Brooke using Jack against Taylor. Taylor rushed over to Nick's to talk to him before Brooke did but was too late! She tried to assure Nick that everything is fine. "I'm doing the best I can," she hedged, before accusing, "You think I'm failing Jack." Having dropped her bomb, Brooke tried to leave. Nick assured Taylor he wasn't judging her. Emotional Taylor tried to explain how much she'd lost and admitted she's afraid of what Brooke and Nick think. Earnest Brooke begged Taylor to let her help her.

Beth dropped by to visit Eric and assured Stephanie she hadn't mentioned Donna at all. Beth updated Steph and the viewers on her medical condition.
"Seeing Eric helped," she said before leaving. Ridge and Stephanie were cheered by Eric's improving condition and Steph confided that she wants to spend the rest of her life with Eric, as she loves him "more than anything." Stephanie then brought up Nick and Brooke's connection due to Jack. (Hello, sore spot!) Ridge told his mom that Brooke is keeping her distance from Nick and Jack. Ridge said he couldn't raise Nick's baby and asserted that Brooke knows that. (Dude, he's raising Deacon's, so why not?) He was confident in his history with Brooke trumping her history with Nick.

Thursday

Donna told Brooke she felt like things were slipping away, confiding about not being able to see Eric. "I'm banned from the house," she bemoaned, asking Brooke to be on her side. Brooke agreed to show Eric the whole picture. She assured a wary Marcus that she's just as tough as Stephanie. Donna hoped her big sis would get through to Eric. Marcus told Donna that Eric didn't seem out of it but that "he'd be doing a lot better if he could see you." He insisted Eric missed her and suggested an innovative way to sneak her in to the house.

The doctor checked on Eric, noting he's improving but the long-term effects of his heart attack were still murky. He then told Stephanie and Ridge that something was "weighing" on Eric. "The worst is behind you," Steph then told Eric. "You haven't lost anything that's really important." (Yeah, except Donna.) Alone, Eric read over her letter. Downstairs, Ridge wondered if Eric was bummed over finding Donna and Owen together. Stephanie wished Eric could just forget her. Brooke then barreled in, demanding to see the father of two of her children. Stephanie bade her not to "advocate for Donna." Upstairs, Brooke tenderly reunited with her ex — under Steph and Ridge's watchful eye. Eric then asked to talk to Brooke alone. Brooke told him she missed him and so did Donna. She explained the Pam situation and how Pam had framed Donna and tried to kill her. "Donna is fine," she quickly assured an alarmed Eric, adding, "You're not being told the whole story." She urged him to talk to his wife. Downstairs, Steph was restless about what Brooke and Eric were dishing, so she hotfooted it upstairs to interrupt Brooke's Donna propaganda. Brooke blasted her (in a whisper), saying who Eric would spend his life with was his decision.

Friday

Stephanie tried to cut short Brooke and Eric's confab. Delivery men brought stuff into the Forrester mansion, puzzling Thorne and Ridge. They speculated on Brooke and Eric's conversation. "I don't hear any yelling," observed Thorne. Ridge noted Brooke could persuade Eric to give Donna a chance. Thorne was actually a little curious about Brooke and Ridge's relationship and how the Logan/Forrester war was affecting it. They then discussed Eric and Donna again and wondered where crazy Aunt Pam ran off to. Upstairs, Stephanie told Eric about spotting Owen and Donna in bed. Brooke insisted Eric needed to her Donna's point of view. Alone with Eric, Stephanie tried to minimize Brooke's advice, but he wanted to know the truth. Meanwhile, Brooke stormed downstairs and complained to Thorne and Ridge. Cue the bickering! Thorne flounced out, unable to listen to any more of "this crap" about Donna. Nearby, Donna peered out from one of the delivered crates! Next to the crate, Stephanie and Brooke hashed things out again. "You're not helping him," Brooke told Steph of Eric, insisting Donna loves her husband. Steph admitted she just didn't understand "you Logan girls."

Alone, Eric flashed back on spying Donna and Owen's clinch. Ridge then joined him, trying to play Devil's advocate about his mother and his wife.
Of course, he did say that Steph woke up when Eric did. Aw! Back downstairs, Donna quietly climbed out of the crate and snuck upstairs as Steph and Brooke argued. Brooke said Eric needed to tell Donna to her face their marriage was over. Steph didn't want anyone jeopardizing Eric's health. She called Donna and Eric's marriage a "joke." Eric continued to flash back on good times with Donna interspersed with Owen/Donna kissing shots. Then, Donna appeared before him. As she gently spoke to him, Eric didn't want her coming too close. Donna claimed she never stopped loving him and never gave up. He pointed out she bedded another man. Donna wanted to explain why. "I'm your wife, and I'm going to love you until death do us part," she said, hugging him, tearfully.
