Due to a very busy schedule which allowed for little time to watch TV, I have been catching up on a month's worth of TIVO'd B&B episodes. When viewed one after another for several hours rather than in the half hour, day-to-day format, it is clearly evident that an inordinate amount of time is devoted to rehashing the same old dialogue over and over again. Last night, I was able to view 7 episodes in 1 hour and 15 minutes simply by fast forwarding through all the rehash garbage and only some of the commercials. What is up with that? Why the constant repetition?
And just to nitpick a little more, in the scenes where Donna told Eric who Marcus is, she repeated the line, "I know this a shock" no less than 4 times in the same episode. Once someone has heard bad news, the shock o'meter stops registering. And this Taylor and Rick thing is just absurd. Not because of their age differences, but because of their relationship to one another through the years. Even though they aren't blood related, there's just too much "Ick Factor" there. How long do you think it'll be before Brooke spills the beans to her son that his new fiance has had sex with his Grandpa? Talk about your Ick Factors!!! Don't these people travel in social circles other than family? LA is highly a populated area! Surely Mr. Bell can write in some new characters for these people to meet and woo, instead of wasting time inventing out-of-wed-lock children who suddenly appear out of no where! Then there's Thorne. Why no story line for him? He seems to always be on the fringe of the B&B canvas and that's a horribe waste of talent. Same for Felicia, what a waste of talent. Ridge isn't the only interesting Forrester child. B&B needs to up the game and stop the incestual merry-go-round, it's becoming laughable.
