This is such crap! If Cordray wants to ruin the show his family created, why not just turn it over to someone that CARES, take his family money and leave town?Killing off Tony DiMera as part of a murder mystery is a horrible idea. And my guess will be that Stefano and family will play little part in this murder mystery, thus giving the story no resonance into the larger fabric that is DOOL.The Soaps / TV Guide (Canada) column also claims that Cordray was more than willing to fire Drake and Deidre. Really? You gotta read that column, folks. It is under the name The Suds Report. At this point, I think we need to face the fact that DOOL is a dead show. It makes me very sad as I have watched this show since the characters of Stefano and Tony were first introduced.So here I am, angry again that Days has again fired a great member of its cast.I am so hoping that ABC takes advantage of this and invite Thaao to return to General Hospital in his role of Victor Cassadine. Rumor is also that ABC is courting Deidre Hall for one of it's soaps. This would be great news.

Naturally the writers got it wrong again! They're getting rid of the wrong DiMera. Stefano has been a cartoon from the beginning and even since his return this time, he's been just a boring afterthought. Tony's character has fire and intelligence. What a shame! Another terrible loss.

Just when Tony gets a juicy storyline and he lets Nicole know he's on to her, the writers are going to kill him in a fight with Phillip?!? Why tease us with his threats to expose Nicole and then kill him before he has an opportunity to make good on his threat? Just like the exits of John and Marlena, they are rushing Tony out the door without a proper wrapup. Watch out, Thaao, don't let the door hit you in the a$$. Amazing !

I love him and Anna together, there is such rich history to draw from and yet he is gone again. He is a professional, always fun to watch, and a great character. He will be missed

This show continues to make one bad decision after another. Tony is the only interesting DiMera; the only one with any real depth. And, just when he is finally getting an interesting storyline, they decide to kill him off - again. Thaao is such a great actor, no matter what the material, his performances are always top notch. Corday is making a huge mistake in the way he has treated so many of the popular veterans, Thaao, Deidre, Drake, Stephen, and Mary Beth deserve so much better. I'd really like to hope that maybe the show is doing something similar to the SSK storyline and there is a big turnaround with the return of the veterans ... but, with Corday it really is hard to tell. Sometimes, he truly does seem determined to make the show fail. I agree, CassadineSon, it seems like if Corday has so little regard for the show he would sell it to someone who would actually value it.
