Ok, now I'm completely thrown. Elijah is behind pushing Marty down the stairs? I was really starting to like this character, and now we find out that he has something to do with this whole Marty thing. I tell you what, Blair sure knows how to get involved with psychopaths..... First Todd, then Spencer Truman and now Elijah. So, does this mean that Elijah is Ford and James' father? I'm so confused. But I have to say, OLTL really knows how to throw a curve ball into a situation. Can't wait until next week!!
When I think of this, I just think that Tea is really going to die and Blair and Todd will pick back up where they left of since Eli is now clearly not going to be in the picture. I am bummed.
OMG, please say it ain't so. How disappointed am I in this storyline. I so loved Blair and Eli together. Dayum ptb, did you really have to go there??
Destiny, my thoughts exactly. I have loved the Blair/Eli pairing and it just shows that TPTB will never let her get over Todd which is a shame b/c she is a much better character w/o him and their relationship is much better for it. I am tired of lather, rinse, repeat on soaps especially when something different is working.
Me too. And I won't lie, if OLTL kills off Tea, I am done. I would rather see Langston, or even Natalie go than Tea who brings so much more to the show. Now, it looks like I am going to get more Langston/Ford, and a possible Blair/Todd/Kelly triangle. Something I do NOT want to see. This is one of the reasons I have not been watching soaps lately. I don't get a payoff. I don't get what I want anymore. It is sooo frustrating. They kill of characters so easily now and they don't think storylines through anymore. They just write on a whim now. Thank God for David Vickers. But even then, they don't write to the potential of this story. It is funny watching David and Matthew bond, but I would like to see more David and Bo interactions on a reallyl meaningful level. Or how about a scene with Renee. I remember when David first came on in 94. After meeting him, Viki stated that he had Victor's hands. I want scenes like that. Maybe I am asking too much from the soaps.
This is a major disappointment. Why is everyone else always crazy. Blair found a good guy, no that never happens. She can only be with Todd. I hate it. I can't believe it yet again we are going with the crazy. Be original OLTL. Stop writing the same story over an over again.
Say that girlfriend
Well, now that Ford knows Eli is really Bennett Thompson, who is the Ford brothers father ?
And what about Eli's connection with Ross Rayburn?....I thought they were supposed to be brothers. The waters are starting to get a little muddy, with this story.
Quote:Well, now that Ford knows Eli is really Bennett Thompson, who is the Ford brothers father ? Ford's brothers father? What? I don't get that one. So the new kid running around with Star is Eli's son? I am a little confused. Is that it? This is so stupid!
If Elijah Clark is really Bennett Thompson, then he can't be the father of the Ford boys, and why would he be, anyway? Elijah is known to be a lawyer, and the Ford boys' dad has an auto chop shop in Ohio, or somewhere. OK, I don't get it either. As someone has previously mentioned, Elijah is supposed to be Ross Rayburn's brother. Rayburns, Clarks, Fords, Thompsons...the more I think about it, the more confused I get! Guess we'll have to wait til the PTB explain it. I am disappointed, though, that Eli is a bad guy.
I am confused. Who is this Bennett Thompson supposed to be? Is he supposed to be Rex's father? What is the story? someone help!! And why is OLTL changing history. Elijah is supposed to be Ross' brother. Looks like lazy storytelling to me. A good shocker but lazy in the end because we will probably get more Todd and Blair drivel in the long run.
Kelly had a vase that her mother made before her death and kept it in her office at "The Sun". It got broken, ( I've forgotten how), but when Kelly was picking up the broken pieces, she found a piece of folded paper that had been inside the vase. On the paper were the words "Bennett Thompson", so Kelly thinks that might be who killed her mother. I don't think it has anything to do with Rex, but who knows? How would Eli/Bennett be connected to Kelly's mother, as well as the Fords?? I can't wait to hear the explanantion for all this craziness.
Me too. Because it is starting to look like Eli killed Melinda, pushed Marty and we know he beat Ford. We know why he beat Ford, but I would like to know why he killed Melinda and pushed Marty.
Are you kidding me, he is a killer. I thought he was a nice guy. Why are they doing this? I am so upset. I said this before but why is it that Blair is always set up with crazy guys and than Todd has to save her, wow that is a new storyline. Please don't recycle the storyline. To me Blair was at her best when she was with John. She was so relaxed almost like she is with Eli but now this crap. Why, why, why?
I really don't see any motives for Eli to have done any of these things. Can somone explain, please.
Quote:I really don't see any motives for Eli to have done any of these things. Can someone explain, please. I wish that I could. I totally don't get it. He was around for a while before he was connected to anyone. Than he was Ross's brother. We don't need another bad family in town we just got rid of Spencer and his family. I truly don't know why we have to go there yet again. Why couldn't Blair have a normal man. I don't get it. What a shame and what a waste. Todd and Blair have been done over and over again and I truly can't stomach the idea of them getting back together. Couldn't we say this is Eli's evil twin and make the real Eli still good. I hate a twin storyline but that is the only way I would live with this.
What if TPTB are playing a trick on us, and this Bennet Thompson guy is someone who took over Elijah Clark's life.....Elijah could be tied up somewhere, and this guy has come along to infiltrate himself into the lives of a view Llanview citizens? Just a thought. I'm trying to come up with any excuse not to believe that Elijah is now going to be a bad guy. LOL
maybe it's a Mitch Lawrence minion??
Quote:maybe it's a Mitch Lawrence minion?? Of course!
Yep, thats about the only explanation that makes since. I'm still pissed. And I still don't know why Eli beat the shitz out of Ford, although I'm glad he did and wish he would do it again. Can somebody help me on that one.
I am confused about the Ford/Elijah connection; yet at the same time intrigued. And how is Hannah; and I know she is, connected? I really hope there is a good/bad Elijah. This story came out of nowhere; yet I'm thinking that Tea must at least know something, this is her ex brother in law and she was married to his brother. Have to be patient and see how this s/l plays out. I do hope that Bennett Thompson is outed sooner rather than later though, only because, perhaps, the answer will satisfy Kelly and get the character to stop thinking everyone she runs into has information about her mother. I liked Kelly when the character debuted; however, I'm not too sure now.
After watching Friday's show, the only connection Hannah has to Elijah is that she saw him push Marty down the stairs. Still don't understand why Eli pushed Marty; as far as I know they hadn't had any interactions. Still don't know the connect between Eli and Ford. Crazy but I can't wait for the answers and bygeorge those answers better be worth waiting for. As for Kelly I got one word.....BOR RING!!! JMO
I agree with you about Kelly. Seems to me that she was more interesting when she was being portrayed by Heather Tom....Not that I don't love the current actress, but the storyline with Kelly, Kevin & Duke was way more interesting that this current one. I don't know why they killed Duke off, that could have been an interesing story to watch unfold for years to come.I think in some instances, daytime is a little too quick to kill off characters. Right when the audience starts to develop an interest for a certain character, they are always killed off. And the ones the viewers can't stand, seem to stick around for an eternity. Why is that? TPTB need to get a little more connected with their audience.
When Gina played Kelly before, it was great. Kelly always had a bit of fire. Some of that fire was softened when Heather Thom played the part. THIS version of Kelly is like a wet newspaper.Good lord, get her interracting with Jessica, her best friend when they were growing up....This drivel is losing me...and my interest.

No kidding, I nearly choked on my nachos, seriously didn't see that one coming. I'm pleasantly surprised !
