I am so sick of Bo and Hope! I love him with Carly

I have watched DOOL since 1983. I loved all the old Bo hope story lines and I didn’t think I could see Bo with anyone else until Carly Manning arrived! I absolutely adored and loved Bo and Carly back then and I love them more now!!! for me it will always be Bo and Carly! If the writers want good ratings and viewers to keep watching, then give Carbo the story they deserve! The amazing talent they have with Crystal Chappell and Peter Reckell  just makes DOOL worth watching.Im sooo tired of Bo and Hope!!!  Carly didnt reck Bopes marriage Hope did a fine job of it! Salem Quack all she is ever done is worry about every one else! I think this is a greatstory for Carly, its only a matter of time before they reunite CARBO!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to Sam and Jason On GH. Can't wait until Sam is pregnant and more importantly, until Jason ask Sam to marry him. This couple is the number one reason I watch GH and I find them amazing. They have been thru alot of heartbreak and pain and betrayal, yet have come out realizing their love is strong and worth fighting for. Sam has been the backbone of Jason for a very long time. She understands him and accepts him for who and what he is and has never questioned him in his decisions even tho some of them have been painful for her (prison anyone).  Not many women stand by and love their man the way Sam McCall has stood by and loved Jason Morgan. Not many couples have the chemistry and magic that Sam and Jason have. I hope he continues to love her for a very very long time. Thank you GH for putting this couple back together again.

Carly did not an invade a perfectly happy marriage.   Hope ran off with Ciara and left their home.   Carly came into Bo's life when Hope was not around and returned at a time when Hope abandoned him.

Bo and Hope fans can now be happy that their couple is together.  Just as we Carly fans are happy about Carly/s new story.  Carly brought me back to watching Days and that is a good things for the ratings.    Carly will come back better than ever, she is just going to hit rock bottom first.

I'm happy to see Days finally give Carly a storyline. Yes I liked her with Bo and I always have but Bo and Hope are back together. I wish them well and I'm glad Days is writing a storyline for Carly, not about her losing Bo but about her life period. What she went through all those years when we didn't see her with Lawrence, her relationship or lack there of with her son. There are so many ways they can play this and no matter how it's played I know Crystal Chappell will give us an awesome performance. I hope others stop judging and hating Carly b/c of her involvment with Bo, she didn't break up his marriage and she did the right thing in stepping aside when she saw Bo and Hope still had feelings for one another.

Thank you Days for this storyline involving Carly/CC and please continue to give us more b/c you brought me back to Days when Crystal returned. On such a sad day as this, losing AMC & OLTL we should all support the soaps we have left and be vocal about our support to the networks and producers. Let's call and write in people. Let's keep Days on the air, support the stories and the actors!!!!!!!

The originator of this thread has shown their ignorance of the situation. 1st Carly was abused, she had a right to defend herself & child from a man who beat his wife & threaten to kill her child. Saintly Hope had walked out of her home with her child. Bo was the intitator of the first kiss between him & Carly. Reason Hope never heard of Carly, poor writing. 

Anyway nows the time to put away such petty arguments and SAVE Our SOAPS. 

The reason I watch Days is for Carly Manning/Crystal Chappell.

Curious to know if the original poster just can't stand Carly or is truly opposed to her current story line.

The reason I ask is because one thing I have always loved about soaps is how they bring REAL LIFE situations, problems into characters' stories. I had NEVER watched Days until it brought Carly back. I am a true Crystal Chappell fan and SHE is what brought me to Days. So... I have no real reference for her history as Carly. Now, saying that... knowing the little I did about her relationship with Lawrence as she rejoined the Salemites, I was soooo looking forward to Days exploring the issue of her abuse while she was gone. Not just the abuse but what the abuse does to a person, how it changes that person, how it affects that person for life.

Soaps have brought sooooo many current topics into it's shows and have done so much good bringing life to them. Rape, incest, breast cancer, alcohol and drug abuse, HIV/AIDS, homosexuality among others. ALL of these topics are things that are faced DAILY in our world and most of them, thankfully, I am not personally familiar with but by seeing them addressed in the Soaps, with characters that WE feel very close to helps me to understand the topic and sympathize with those that may be suffering with the same issue.

My hope with Carly's storyline is that Days doesn't just stop at the abuse that we are seeing now. Yes, it is sad to see Carly this low but what I want to know is.. how did she get here to this point? How does someone as kind, loving, funny and good as Dr. Carly Manning, before Lawrence, get to become drug abuser/ liar/ thief Dr. Carly Manning? Show me how the transformation took place. Do I want to see a play by play? No. I want to see how does someone become so changed. Many of us know people or have family members that this has happened to, unfortunately. I want to see, really SEE Carly rise ABOVE this!! Show us that those we know and love CAN rise above this!!!! Do I know this is a soap opera? Oh yes. I do know. But as I said before, soaps have always been used as a platform to explore and educate. Not so much now as before but I so hope that Days doesn't waste this golden opportunity to teach us something- about this topic, about these struggles and about RISING above these issues. It can be done. Show us, Days. We challenge you.

NOW; Are you kidding me,  REALLY?  Let's think back a second.

I am most confident in saying that Carly did not invade a marriage , Hope with Ciara LEFT   Bo and their so called happy, loving marriage. their marriage had been on rocky slope way before Carly came back to Salem. I'm glad that Bope fans are happy now (although you can't always have couples be happy way to long on Soaps or they get boring ). I am even MORE ecstatic about Carly's new storyline. So very Happy that DAYS  brought back Carly,Vivan and Jennifer b/c honestly DAYS was getting boring. Carly has brought back excitement ,and Crystal brings gut-wrenching emotions to character driven stories. I sure can't wait to see what's next !!!!

I am a HUGE FAN of Bope! They have such chemistry that melts the screen when they are on. I like carly, but not with Bo. I understand why people would say that Hope left  Bo, but in actualality, she left to get some space from the turmoil that they were put through. I don't agree with what she did, but I understand it. It didn't give Bo the right to go jump into bed with Carly as soon as Hope moved out. They were separated, not divorced. You still have to honor your vows and if he wanted to hook up with Carly, then he should have divorced Hope first. And I agree, I am enjoying Carly's new storyline. I didn't start watching the show until 1995, so I did not know anything about Carly, so this storyline is very entertaining, Crystal Chappell is doing a great job playing over the edge. But Kristain Alfonso is the BEST actress and I am so excited that her and Peter Reckell  finally have a front burner story. Bring on the BOPE!

Seriously? Are we watching the same show? Even the writing currently (or before when Bo rescued Hope) they had brought up that Hope left and didn't communicate with Bo that he didn't understand. Even Justin said Bo thought his marriage was over because there was NO COMMINICATION.

Carly didn't ruin a "perfect" marriage. BOPE hasn't been "perfect" in a long time. Carly came at just the right time when Bo needed someone and it wasn't like she was a stranger, she was his past love. Someone he trusted and wanted to marry! This story Carly is going through is PERFECT because we finally get to see the abuse she endured, and she endured REAL abuse. Unlike Hope who tried to kill Bo because he moved on, even though he was a great guy to her. Carly is suffering and fans do love her story. Look at the ratings! Carly days are always the highest! Carbo days are even HIGHER! Just because more fans watch those days to support Crystal and CARBO. Its a fact, we can't make up those numbers!

We are all entitled to our own opinions and I have respected the BOPE fans just because I know they love and are passionate for a couple they have had for 27 years. I know that passion, I have it for CARBO, but don't try and say that Carly's story sucks when Hope's story last year didn't do well and it was all for a stupid reason. I know Hope was hurt but she caused that for herself by not talking to Bo. Carly had no choice in getting the abuse from Larry. Its just the facts!

TPTB are smart to finally give Carly her own story and I hope and pray that CARBO will return later on just because I know TPTB know we are still around and our voices have been heard. Carly's story is also true and human like. We can feel and relate to what she is going through. It's the best story going on so far!

Let's see ... what happens to Carly when Bo & Hope get back together ... she gets an amazing storyline !!!!!!  In my opinion, it's about freakin time !!!!!!

Crystal Chappell is THE BEST ACTRESS on daytime tv ~ hands down ~ no competition !  Not sure why she has been propping up everyone else's storylines ??? Not many actresses can take on the magnitude of this new storyline solo and do it justice.  But as we can well see, Crystal is rocking EVERY scene ~ to no surprise of her fans.  She hits a homerun with every scene & DAYS is the winning team ! 

@nbcdays @crystalchappell is AMAZING ~ please give her more screentime. CC + more screentime = higher ratings !!!  

It's a soap...the writers have to keep relationships in a mess.  Otherwise, viewers get bored, lose interest, quit watching, and then we all know what happens . . . but that's for another forum ...

Unfortunately I don't think Carly's storyline is awesome.  I've been disappointed.  I don't get it.  She becomes an addict cause a man left her and before everyone jumps up and down, yes she was abused, yes she killed her husband and yes her son doesn't speak to her, but essentially Carly herself confirmed that she could handle all of that as long as she had Bo.  She doesn't have Bo, she becomes an addict.  WHAT???

To me, it's a worry.  We know that Bo and Hope have a major storyline coming up in June and we know that Carly's story becomes more about the family (which doesn't include Bo according to CC) so what's the point of this storyline for Carly.  Its  not to let Bo be her knight in shining armour cause he is with Hope.  I'm all for a solo journey but in soap world that doesn't bring in viewers.  I just don't get it.  Why does Carly need to crash and burn?  Usually that's so a love pairing can develop, in this case, that's not it, so what then was the point.

I was afraid when Crystal Chappell returned to Days that she would be used as a third wheel to come between Bo and Hope.  My fears came true.  Crystal is too fine of an actress for such a role.  I am so excited about her new storyline and the possibilities that it presents.  Finally something that Crystal can really show off her acting skills.  Can't wait to see where this goes.

Carly did not break up Bo and Hope up.If i'm not mistaken they were split up before she arrived in Salem.I'm just glad Carly has a storyline of her own to showcase her many talents.Crystal Chappell is an amazing actress who knows how to deliver.She has yet to let me down!! She is the only reason i tune into Days!

Guess I'm in the minority here.  I really do not like Carly.  I love Bo and Hope together.

I am so sorry DOOL replaced Taylor! Natalia was very convincing and so absolutely innocent acting!  The new Taylor is a lovely actress but not innocent and convincing enough.  The story line is now lost and not so interesting.

With the downfall of so many soaps, DOOL better play it smart and not screw around with the things that work!

I am so thankful that Days is finally giving Crystal Chappell the storyline she deserves. I have been patiently waiting for the abuse that Carly has suffered to be addressed. There is so much potential drama with Carly that the writers could have material for several years....Lawrence's abuse, her estrangement with Nicky, how will Mel and Nicky take to being brother and sister....I could go on.

Thank you Days for putting this story in Crystal Chappell's very capable hands, She will not disappoint.

Years ago Bo and Carly had chemistry, there's no chemistry now. Your right, Bo and Hope were separated before Carly came back, but she should of waited too see if Bo and Hope were really over before she moved into Hopes house and into her bed. When Carly showed up, Hope told Bo she was ready to come home and he said nows not a good time. If Hope didn't go away too prison, Bo and Carly wouldn't of lasted this long. Bo and Hope were trying 2 work on their marriage when Carly first showed up, he was trying to protect Carly from Vivian and even though Carly knew that Hope didn't like her staying with Bo and thought she should go ask Roman for help, she didn't cuz she wanted Bo. So she kept them from getting back together sooner and so she ended up getting hurt.

Yes years ago Bo and Carly had chemistry and they still do its off the charts!!!! Carly said no to  Bo and Bo insisted on Carly living with him. Hope wanted to come back? Hope kept saying no she didnt trust Bo that will always be an issue for them. Hope was too busy running around whining and complaining because she couldnt control Bo. Hope always wants things on her terms never meeting half way. FYI when Carly showed up Hope was already moved out!!! Bo and Hope have run thier course,they just dont have the chemistry anymore. Actually they became a thing of the past once Bo and Carly became a couple 20 years ago. I think it would be great to revamp Hope by letting her go on a solo storyline and find a new love interest,as millions of people have noticed the ratings have tanked for DOOL since the "Bope Reunion" If Dool wants good ratings they need to bring Bo and Carly backtogether!! As for Carly Crystal Chappell rocks her new storyline!! Carly's story is what makes me  watch Dool!

Enough with the bo ,,hope and carly drama,i want to know when ej is going to have to pay for all he has done to sami?///sure she shot him but what mom out there would not do anything to protect their kids,,,please bring rafe back to sami the real rafe,,they steam up the show and sami deserves some happy times,,,,and melonie is getting on my last nerve,has she not forgotten how she was back in the day??/now she acts like chloie is the devil,sure she made a mistake but who on the show hasnt? daniel and chloie was great together until vivian came along and messed up her life,,, when is vivian going to get hers too,,why is all the bad people on days getting away with everything and making the salem police look like idiots??/give us some excitement with ej,,,stephino,,,vivian,,getting some of the bad times,,,,let them pay too,,,,look at all the thing kate has done and still she gets no punishment,,,i dont know about the rest of you but i wish the writers would let us have a little revenge on the bad ones of salem,,,,,
