DAYS Stars React To Exits
After Digest broke the news yesterday that the cuts had begun in Salem, reactions from the stars — and one mom — appeared on Facebook and Twitter. "As you've probably heard, the news came out today that my character (and I) will be leaving the show," posted Matthew Ashford (Jack) on Facebook. "That's the way it goes in this business…. as always-thank you to everyone for your support." After a dinner with co-stars Galen Gering (Rafe), Shawn Christian (Daniel) and Arianne Zucker (Nicole), Patrick Muldoon (Austin) tweeted of his and co-star Christie Clark's (Carrie) exit, "#DAYS been great 2 us. It will always be home. We all feel sick." On Drake Hogestyn's (John) Facebook fan page, Clark's mother, Cathy O'Connor Clark, wrote: "Hey guys just wanted to say I'm in mourning. I've known since last Tues, that they let Christie, Patrick and Matt go. It's really sad. Christie has been soooo sad. She felt like she did a great job, and couldn't believe it…. I'm so sad to see her so sad. Please write in if you'd like. Cuz they told her there was a possibility she could come back." Sarah Brown (Madison) also took to Twitter, noting, "I've got nothing but love for @nbcdays @DaysofourLives. Thanks for your support. Jobs come & go, we keep on. That's #Life!"
