Monday
At the far-flung spa, Anna was stunned to see that Stefano was massaging her. He reminded her that she could run, but couldn't truly hide from him. He pressed her about Nicole's pardon. She claimed to feel sorry for Nicole and asked Jim to do her a favor. The Phoenix didn't buy it and wanted the truth. She told him he was responsible because he lied to his own son. Stefano slapped her. Through her tears, she mentioned a "we" taking the baby. Stefano demanded to know who she was working with and threatened to kill her if she didn't blab. He had his henchman grab her. She got rattled and told him that if he gave her her life, she would give him Sydney. She revealed that she didn't plan the kidnapping — she was working for EJ.
Chloe was on her cell when Nicole surprised her at the Java Café. Chloe was surprised that Nicole wanted to come back to Salem. Nic insisted she had a bright future there. They sat down but noticed that some of the patrons were looking at Nic because of the story in the paper about her pardon. Chloe asked why Anna got the pardon for Nicole. Nic played dumb, then filled her pal in on everything that had gone down since she was sprung from the clink. Chloe asked why Nicole was really staying in Salem. Nic played coy and changed the conversation. She asked about Daniel. Chloe told her that he was in the hospital because he hit his head after trying to break up a fight between Carly and Melanie. "Whenever Daniel gets involved with Carly, bad things happen to him," Chloe noted. Nicole told her to get Carly out of Daniel's life. Chloe took off.
At the hospital, Carly entered Daniel's room to find him getting dressed. She averted his eyes from his 12-pack and asked what he was doing, pointing out that he still had to see a vision specialist for his double vision. "I'm worried; don't shut me out!" she exclaimed. Chloe entered as Daniel was telling Chloe he could never hate her. Carly pressed Daniel to tell Chloe about his double vision. He did. Chloe was concerned. He said he would see a doctor, then left to get his chart. Once alone, Carly admitted to Chloe that the injury could have altered his career. Carly added that the silver lining was that it brought Melanie and Daniel closer. Chloe was not pleased.
Rafe visited his sister at the Brady Pub and they caught up. He told her he thought he and Sami were over but didn't want to talk about it further. The conversation turned to Nicole; Rafe warned his sis to look out. After, he went to the station, where Abe told him that Benny had lawyered up and been released by DA Woods. When the DA showed up, Rafe lost his temper and grabbed him. He warned Woods that it wasn't over and he vowed to bring Anna to justice.
Melanie chatted with Philip on the phone, but there was a knock at the door, so she hung up. It was Brady. She jumped into his arms and asked why he wasn't on his honeymoon. She also noticed he wasn't wearing a wedding ring. They filled each other in on what had gone on in their lives. During their chat, Melanie realized that Nicole was back. Brady insisted he would deal with her.... Brady returned to the DiMera manse, where Nicole was waiting for him. She tried to get him to postpone his nups and said she had lost her way with EJ, implying she wanted to be with him. She said that she felt he wanted the same. He noted that was her reality. He got a call and told Nicole to leave. The house phone rang. Henderson picked it up — it was Arianna, who said she was on her way over. Nicole handed over her jacket and bag and made herself at home, waiting for Ari to show up. When she did, Nicole answered the door with a martini in her hand.
Melanie went to the hospital to see her father. Chloe told her about the double vision situation. Mel was alarmed and admitted she felt the accident was her fault. "At least you see that," Chloe noted, then apologized and told her about Carly's "silver lining" comment. Dr. Manning approached them and Melanie laid into her. Carly asked what Chloe said, but Melanie insisted it wasn't Chloe. "Back off me and my father," Mel declared, then stormed off. Carly followed.
EJ dropped by Sami's townhouse. He spied her beaten-up face and cracked, "You look a mess. But if it makes you feel any better, she looks a lot worse than you do." He jokingly asked for the blow-by-blow, but she didn't share the details. He wondered if she had spoken to Rafe. She said she had and that things were over between them. "He let you go?" EJ asked incredulously. She wiped tears and asked him why he had such a turnaround on her relationship with Rafe. He said that he had seen them together and urged Sami not to give up on Agent H. "Who are you and what have you done with EJ DiMera?" she kidded him. He said he felt Rafe could forgive her since he had. She was surprised to hear it. He said he just wanted to focus on the good things in his life and Sami was one of them. She felt awkward, but he quickly covered that he knew they were over and just wanted to be there for her.

Tuesday
Arianna was bothered when a martini-toting Nicole answered the door at the Kiriakis mansion. An argument ensued. Brady entered and mediated. Nicole told Brady she would take him up on his offer. "What offer?" Arianna asked. Nic went to leave, but Ari pushed and asked what they had going on. Brady revealed that he offered Nicole a loan. Nicole left. Once alone, Arianne asked Brady why he didn't talk to her about it first. He tried to make light of it, but she was upset. She warned her fianc that Nicole would never stop coming around, but he insisted it was a one-time deal. If there was a second time, though, he would be up front with Ari, he promised. She told him that both Rafe and Melanie suggested they wed ASAP. Brady was on board for the idea, but Ari hesitated. She said she was seriously thinking they shouldn't do it.
A sharp-dressed Bo surprised Carly at the hospital with some dresses for her to try on so they could go on a date. She was thrilled and put on a sexy red frock. He kissed her and they headed to dinner. She told him she didn't need to get dressed up to be happy with him. He understood. They talked about what would have happened if they had stayed together. After, they danced. He received a call from Caroline, who was in LA, and had bad news about his sister, Kimberly.
After EJ and Sami's heart-to-heart, they hugged. Will came in with Sydney and was not happy. EJ took his daughter and left. Will flipped out on Sami for her sudden closeness with her ex. During their fight, Will slipped that he ran into Nicole while with Sydney. Sami asked if he let Nicole near the baby. He admitted he let Nic say good-bye. Sami then lost it, especially when he told her that Sydney called Nicole "Mama." A vicious battle ensued.
Lexie brought Theo chez DiMera. Kate was thrilled to see him. Lexie explained that they had a scheduled playdate with Stefano but Kate told her he wasn't there. She handed Lexie a note from him, then asked if Theo could have a playdate with her. She said she got a new juicer and wanted to test it out. Lexie said okay. But first, Kate wanted to talk about EJ and his rift with Stefano. EJ entered during their discussion. Kate excused herself and he and Lexie chatted. He admitted he had feelings for Sami. After, he, Kate, Lexie and Theo all shared some lemonade. Kate urged EJ to make peace with his father but he refused.
Will came to the DiMera mansion and told Kate that he left Sami's place — for good. He wanted to talk to his dad, but Lucas was away on Home & Hearth business. Kate invited her grandson to live with her at the manse.... EJ returned to the townhouse to find Sami in tears on the couch. He comforted her.
At the faraway spa, Anna revealed to Stefano that EJ was behind Sydney's kidnapping. The Phoenix refused to believe it, but Anna explained what EJ's motives were, which included making Stefano pay. He still didn't buy it, so she had to show him proof. She got her phone and played Stefano a telling message from EJ. She suggested he use the information to bring EJ and Sydney close to him. Stefano let her go with the money she made from EJ, but not before warning her that he could find her no matter where she hid. After, Stefano called his son and said it was important that they talked. Elvis hung up on him. Stefano vowed to make his son see the error of his ways.
Nicole went to the Pub. An excited Kinsey snapped a shot of her, explaining that she was making a collage of people who came into the pub. Annoyed, but intrigued, Nicole checked it out and spied lots of photos of Brady and Arianna.
Wednesday
Bo told Carly he couldn't understand why Kimberly would keep her leukemia a secret. She pointed out that he was a bone marrow match for his sister, which was good news. He still worried that by going to Los Angeles to be with Kim, he was leaving Carly open to Vivian's schemes. He told Carly he loved her. After, he went to the Kiriakis mansion to say good-bye to Ciara. Ciara told her father that she and Hope would miss him very much and asked him if he loved her mom. Bo assured her he did. Victor overheard. "Out of the mouths of babes," Victor noted, then followed his son out. He thought time away might give his son perspective. Bo insisted his perspective would never change. Bo then called Hope, but she didn't pick up.
Daniel and Carly ran into each other. He was having double vision issues. She gave him an article on his condition. Bo came upon them, but Carly got a call about a patient. Bo told Daniel he was on his way to see him. He filled him in about Kimberly, then asked if he was okay to be a donor in light of the donor surgery Daniel did on him. Daniel said it would be okay, but the doc seemed rattled. Bo asked what was up. Daniel was concerned about keeping Carly safe and suggested she move in with Chloe and him. Bo thought it was a good idea. Carly wasn't so sold. They said their good-byes.
Hope went to the hospital to check on a victim and ran into Lexie. She asked how Hope was sleeping. Not great, Hope replied. Lexie invited Hope and Ciara to dinner; she accepted. DA Woods was wheeled in on a stretcher. Hope asked who harmed him: Rafe Hernandez, the DA replied. Hope asked if the DA spied his attacker, but he had to admit that he hadn't. He claimed to have heard his voice, though, and it was Rafe's. He then told her about the fight they had earlier. Hope found Abe in the hall and asked him if what the DA said was true. Abe backed up the account of the Woods/Hernandez brawl.
Gabi found Rafe at the Java Café and chastised him for not meeting her at the mall. He was sorry and admitted he forgot. She asked what he was doing, but he was evasive. Hope called and asked him to come to the station. Will came in. He told Rafe about his fight with Sami. Rafe said they would talk about it more later, then headed out. Gabi bought Will a latte. Chad came in next and said he had been at practice. Will mentioned that Chad's dad was all over the Internet because he had been hospitalized. A shocked Chad hurried off to the hospital, where his mother joined him in his father's room. DA Woods declared that Rafe was his attacker. "No way," Chad said. His father got annoyed. Chad and his mother talked outside. Chad didn't like that his parents were so elitist. She asked him about Gabi. He claimed they were just friends but Madeline thought there was something more to the story. Chad insisted there wasn't.
Rafe entered the interrogation room and Hope asked where he had been. She told him about DA Woods's accusations and asked if he had an alibi. He said he was alone and didn't have one. "If it had been me," he added. "Woods wouldn't be alive to make the accusation."
Sami woke up to find EJ had prepared breakfast. Stefano, who was back in town, called and summoned his son to the manse to talk about living arrangements. EJ agreed to go. Sami asked what was up. "I won," EJ laughed. "I finally won." She admitted that she liked the new him and didn't want him to go back to the DiMera mansion.
At the manse, Kate overheard Stefano's call to EJ and asked if her husband was really giving the mansion to EJ. The Phoenix cryptically pointed out that things were rarely what they seemed. She was happy, since she had not only redecorated, but Will was moving in.
Will arrived at Sami's townhouse to find his mother folding laundry. Kate entered behind him but then excused herself to let them chat. Sami tried to talk to her son, but he wasn't interested. Abe called Sami, but she had to pick up the phone in the other room because she couldn't hear through the static. While she was out, Will spied the leftover breakfast dishes, got annoyed and left. Kate asked why he didn't have his things. He said he would get his stuff later. When Sami came back into the living room, she was surprised that Will was gone. Abe told her that Rafe was called to the station in connection with the attack on Woods.
EJ strode into the DiMera mansion with papers for the Phoenix to sign. Stefano wasn't ready to deal, though. He played a cat and mouse game with his son but EJ pushed him sign the paperwork. Stefano stalled and asked his son to finish his chess game. "Check," EJ smirked. "Mate," Stefano countered as he made his move. "You lost," he told EJ. EJ threw the pieces off of the board and was peeved that his father had no intention of signing over the house. "You have lost more than a game, Elvis," EJ thundered. "I know! Ha! YOU took Sydney. I know all about it. You had Sydney all along."
Thursday
Daniel and Carly went back and forth on the phone about her moving in him and Chloe. Carly insisted it was a bad idea and Chloe would be upset. Daniel wanted to talk to her about it. Chloe walked in and overheard. Before Daniel could explain, Philip and Melanie arrived for brunch. The foursome ate, drank and made merry, until Daniel got a call and had to head to the hospital for surgery. Melanie offered to drive him and asked to sit in on the procedure. After they left, Philip got a call and learned the news anchor for Titan TV quit. Philip wondered if Chloe was up for the gig. She wasn't interested. An alarm went off and Chloe realized Daniel had left the house without his medication. Philip suggested they take the pills to Daniel; then, he would pick up Melanie.
Carly was on the phone talking to Bo, when Maggie overheard and said things didn't sound good. Carly explained about Kimberly's leukemia. Maggie asked who would be looking out for Carly while Bo was gone. Carly noted that Bo wanted her to stay with Daniel. Later, Carly, Daniel and Melanie all headed into the operating room. Daniel coached Carly. Melanie commented on what a good team they made. After surgery, the family bonded just as Chloe and Philip approached.
Chad and Gabi discussed whether or not her brother (Rafe) attacked his father (Charles). Later, Chad joined his mom in his dad's hospital room. Charles got a call from Abe, saying Rafe was being questioned. Charles pressed Abe to make sure Rafe got what he deserved. Abe brought up Charles pulling strings to get Benny released and warned not to push him. Chad asked if his dad was sure Rafe beat him up and mentioned his chat with Gabi. Charles told his son to think with his brain and not his ... Later, Chad and Madeline were on the pier. Chad went on about how badly his father always treated him. Gabi walked up, and Chad introduced her to his mom. Madeline was eager to get to know her.
Sami arrived at the station looking for Rafe, who was being interrogated by Hope. Rafe insisted he didn't attack Charles. Hope asked where Rafe was last night. Rafe said he was walking through the woods alone. Abe tried to calm down Sami, who insisted Rafe would never attack Charles. A cop gave Abe a file folder with Charles's statement. Abe muttered that Rafe better have a rock solid alibi. Hope thought Rafe was hiding something. Sami returned, picked up the file folder, and read Charles's statement. Abe grabbed the folder from her. Sami insisted Rafe was with her the night before. Abe and Hope didn't buy it. Rafe emerged and noted that he and Sami weren't together. Sami swore they were. Rafe asked for a moment alone with Sami. Hope said he needed more than a moment, he needed a lawyer. Rafe told Sami he wouldn't let her lie for him. Sami said she loved Rafe. Rafe admitted loving her, too, but it wasn't enough.
Hope arrived to visit Maggie, who was writing a card to Kimberly. Hope was perplexed. Maggie explained about Kimberly's crisis and said Bo had left Hope messages about it before leaving town. Hope said she'd erased them. Maggie admonished Hope for shutting Bo out of her life. Hope swore she wasn't. They had to get along for Ciara's sake.
Stefano told EJ he knew he masterminded Sydney's kidnapping. Father and son went back and forth about it. EJ wanted to know how many people Stefano had told about this; then, realized he hadn't told anyone. Stefano chastised EJ for being deliberately cruel and torturing everyone who loved Sydney and vowed to make him pay. EJ swore Anna took Sydney and threatened to have Stefano committed to a psychiatric hospital if he breathed a word of this nonsense to anyone. Particularly, since Stefano had no proof. Stefano decided to produce proof. He went to the computer and brought Anna up on screen. EJ squirmed as she confessed all about his plot. "I can now nail you to the wall," spat Stefano. EJ said the video meant nothing. Stefano picked up the phone to call Sami and her FBI boyfriend, Rafe. “What do I have to do to stop you?” asked EJ. “Tell the truth,” ordered Stefano. Finally, EJ admitted everything. Stefano vowed his son would regret it.
Friday
Chloe and Philip found Melanie, Carly and Daniel bonding at the hospital. Chloe wanted to go to Daniel's office to talk. Daniel suggested going to the pub. Chloe walked away. Carly sensed the tension. Daniel left, and Vivian approached Carly. She asked if Carly felt in danger with Bo off in California. Carly insisted she felt safe. Daniel returned and threatened to order a psychiatric evaluation for Vivian. Carly told Daniel to go, and he left with Chloe. Vivian made a crack about men fawning all over Carly. Carly told her she didn't need Bo or Daniel taking care of her. She could handle Vivian herself. Philip chased Vivian off. Melanie asked Carly for a favor. She wanted to rejoin the nursing program. Carly gave Melanie a hug as Vivian watched. Later, Philip got a call about needing a reporter for Titan TV. Philip wondered if Melanie wanted the gig. Melanie preferred working at the hospital with her dad and Carly.
Daniel and Chloe were at the pub discussing Carly moving in with them. Although she really hated the idea, Chloe agreed to it. Daniel got a call and left. Father Matt arrived in time to counsel Chloe. She told him about the upcoming Three's Company situation with Carly. Father Matt called Daniel a "clueless dude" and urged Chloe to have an honest talk with him. Chloe agreed to do it. Alone, Carly muttered about hating Carly's guts. Vivian overheard and her ears perked up.
Nathan entered the Cheatin' Heart and found Stephanie on a date with Aaron. Steph noted he had tickets for a concert on Friday. Nathan told Aaron that Steph wouldn't be able to go, since she already had plans. When Aaron left to make a call, Steph scolded Nathan. Nathan told her about Aaron's drug problem. The pair started talking about Nathan canceling their date, because he couldn't get over Melanie. Nathan insisted he put the brakes on with Steph, because he thought she was special. Then, he took the brakes off and invited her to the concert on Friday. She accepted, and they kissed.
Sami told Roman her multitude of problems. Will was moving out and Rafe was angry at her. Roman understood why, since EJ was living there. Roman pointed out what was at the root of all Sami's problems: EJ! Sami went on about EJ bringing Sydney back and swore he'd changed. Roman noted that DiMeras didn't change. Sami said EJ was the only person who accepted her as is. Besides, she had to what was right for her kids. Namely, have a good relationship with their father.
Madeline, Chad and Gabi discussed who attacked Charles. Gabi swore it wasn't Rafe. Chad didn't think so either. Madeline asked Gabi not to blame Chad for anything Charles did. Kate and Will sat inside the Java Caf and talked about his moving into the DiMera mansion. Will was worried his mom wouldn't let him see Sydney, when she found out. Kate didn't think that would happen. Madeline, Chad and Gabi entered. Will asked about Chad's dad. Kate and Madeline spotted one another and stared. Gabi thanked Madeline for supporting Rafe. After Gabi left, Madeline told Chad how lovely she was. Chad said hello to Kate, and Madeline asked about her son's friendship with Will. She urged Chad to stay away from him. They didn't need any more dealings with the DiMeras.
Sami returned home to find Will with his suitcases packed. Will announced he was moving in with Kate. Sami forbade it. Will didn't understand why EJ could stay there, but he couldn't stay at the DiMera mansion. Sami said EJ was only at her place temporarily. Will countered that he'd be staying at the mansion temporarily and left.
EJ admitted he orchestrated Sydney's kidnapping. Stefano vowed his son would regret it. Now Sami would get control of their kids. EJ didn't seem worried, noting Stefano wouldn't take Anna's DVD to the cops, because he would stop him "by any means necessary." Stefano wondered if EJ was threatening to kill him. EJ yelled that Stefano was no longer his father and picked up a letter opener. Stefano's henchman came in to see if there was a problem. Stefano sent him away. EJ raised the letter opener as a stunned Stefano watched. "Elvis," he gasped. EJ threw the letter opener down and sat down. Stefano told him that no matter what happened, he would always love his son. Sami stormed in and asked what was going on.
