Monday

Kate told Daniel that she's happy Chelsea can lean on him. She added that Chelsea can never know what happened between them because it would kill her. Chelsea came in at the tail end of their conversation, but Kate covered. Daniel updated the women on Victor's condition: He had an ischemic stroke and has a clot in one or more of the arteries. "It could go either way," Daniel said somberly. After Daniel left, Chelsea confronted Kate about not wanting Daniel to operate on her. Kate danced around the question, but Chelsea wouldn't let it drop. Finally, Kate explained that she was uncomfortable having Daniel as her surgeon when he was Chelsea's before that.

Outside of the Pub, Chloe talked to her mother on the phone and updated her about having sex with Lucas in the elevator. Nicole overheard and approached Chloe once inside. "Is this what your life has come to now, Nicole? Eavesdropping on other people's conversations?" Chloe remarked. Nicole commented on Chloe and Lucas having sex, which Sami, who was already in the Pub, overheard. She refused to believe it. Chloe insisted she wasn't lying. "Take it from me, Sami. Lucas is a horndog. I mean, when we were married, we did the nasty day and night," Nicole added helpfully. An argument ensued —and then Sami threw food. Cue the food fight. "Why Lucas would want either one of you losers is beyond me," Nicole sighed. Chloe and Sami yelled at each other. EJ's name came up; Sami insisted she didn't have feelings for him. EJ came in. Sami went to throw a piece of pie at Chloe and Nicole, but they ducked and she hit EJ instead. EJ pulled Sami aside and asked what was wrong with her. She got defensive about Chloe. "Lucas slept with her because of you," Sami complained. "Oh... Of course. My fault. Everything's my fault, isn't it, darling?" he said blithely. Sami told him that she was taking the twins and moving out of the mansion that night and huffed off. Nicole and Chloe sat down to have a drink. "This is weird," Nicole admitted, then grilled Chloe about Lucas and Philip. Chloe noted that Phil was too busy with Morgan to care.

Bo and Philip gathered around Victor's bedside. He was unconscious, so his sons urged him to fight. "I don't want to lose another father," Bo noted sadly. "I need you, Dad. Please don't leave me," Philip added. Philip told Bo that he let Victor down professionally. Bo assured his little brother that Victor was proud of him. "No, I've disappointed him. I know it," Philip said. Victor woke up and tried to talk. "I am proud," he said. Daniel came in and asked the guys to leave so he could examine Vic. Outside, Morgan approached Philip and asked for an update on his dad. He told her Victor had a stroke, then asked about her father. She said he left proof that he knew who was after him and had mailed it to her. She said she was scared. He pulled her into a hug and offered to help. They headed to the Brady Pub. Chloe walked out and spied them sitting on a bench. Philip asked Morgan to give them a minute. She went inside. Chloe offered sympathy about Victor. Philip asked her if she hated him so much to sleep with Lucas. "I don't hate you. I was angry and hurt," she explained. He pointed out that their relationship was no strings from the beginning. She countered that someone always ends up getting hurt in those relationships.

Inside the Pub, Morgan ran into her sorority sister, Sloan, who was back from visiting her parents. Morgan told her that Paul was missing. Sloan offered support, then remembered that she had a slip for Morgan that was put in her mail slot by mistake. Morgan went outside and told Philip that she had to go to the post office so she could pick up her package. He chose to leave with her, telling Chloe they'd finish their discussion later. "There's nothing left to say," Chloe noted sadly to herself.

Daniel told Chelsea and Kate that Victor had woken up. Chelsea went to get coffee. Kate asked Daniel to stay behind to talk to her. She said she didn't have any regrets about what happened between them, but if Chelsea found out, she couldn't live with it. He told he he didn't want things to be awkward between them. Flashback to a night at the Brady Pub, where Daniel was drinking and Kate sat down with him. He told her that he would always be grateful to her for helping him through a difficult time, but that Chelsea was his now and maybe future and he had to see where that took him. She said she understood. He commended her for being so classy.

Bo visited Victor, who asked for his help with Philip. "Promise me you'll watch out for him," Victor whispered. Bo told his father he would pull through it, then gave Victor his word. Chelsea visited next and thanked her grandfather for taking care of her after her surgery. "I want to do the same for you," she said. "I'm gonna take the best care of you that I can."

At the DiMera mansion, Sami asked Rolf to pack up the twins' clothes because they were moving out. EJ came in and asked Sami to reconsider. She refused. He said he had a court order forbidding her from taking Johnny away from the house until they had a custody hearing.

Tuesday

As he searched for information concerning the package Paul sent to Morgan, Bo was flummoxed by the police station's computer system. Hope smiled and took over, impressing her hubby with her tech-savvy. Thanks to Hope's cyber sleuthing, Bo determined that the parcel might provide clues about Hollingsworth's disappearance. When they were unable to reach Morgan on her cell phone, Bo called a judge and got a quickie court order to secure the package at the post office.

Waiting on line at the post office, Morgan found comfort in Philip's arms. She worried that the people after her father might be there watching her, but Philip assured the belle that she's safe. Morgan observed that Paul would be surprised at how protective he is of her, mentioning that her dad had warned her to stay away from Kiriakis. When it was Morgan's turn at the counter, she stepped up to the counter to get the package, but the clerk said she was out of luck, explaining that the parcel was in the system, but not at the post office. She said that after the failed delivery attempt, it might have been returned to sender. Seeing as how it was near closing time, the clerk was impatient, but Philip stepped up and pressured her to have another look. Sure enough, the clerk found the package. Philip suggested that they open it somewhere else and the pair left. Moments after they took off, Bo showed up with a warrant.

Sami fumed when EJ produced a court order, barring her from removing Johnny from the mansion. A bitter argument ensued. When insults didn't work, Sami softened her tone, arguing that she's a good mother. EJ quietly insisted that her recent behavior hasn't been conducive to good parenting. He said her anger toward him would eventually be directed toward their child. Sami deflected his criticism by bringing up Nicole, saying that she's not an appropriate caregiver. "She is the definition of a bad example," sniped Sami, but EJ called Nic a good person and praised how well she takes care of her dog, Pookie. This line of reasoning did not impress Sami. He added that he might not end up with Nicole, but he'd eventually find another woman. He mused that Sami doesn't like the idea of him with another woman. When he discussed his old life, Sami said he could go back to it, prompting EJ to admit that he was considering taking a flight to England — with Johnny. "Are you insane?" cried Sami before delivering a punch to his gut. EJ turned away and went upstairs as she yelled that, "this is not over."

Morgan and Philip went to the Brady Pub. He told her to take her time and open the package when she's ready. She asked him if he would do it.... Bo phoned Hope and filled her in that the package had already been picked up. Hope noted that she and Ciara were standing outside the pub and Bo agreed to meet her there. When they got to the pub, they were surprised to see that Morgan was there. As Philip was opening the package, Bo announced that he couldn't do that because it might be relevant to the police investigation. Philip gave Bo some guff, but Brady pulled out the warrant. Bo gently asked Morgan to come down to the station with them. She shared her worries that there might be something upsetting in the package. Down at the P.D., Morgan at last opened the parcel and found stacks of cash and a letter from Paul, saying that the money would give her "freedom" from her mother.

Philip visited Victor's hospital bedside and whispered to his sleeping father that he'd done something that might destroy the family. After Morgan left the parcel with Bo, he found one more item: a tape recording of Philip threatening to kill Paul!

Wednesday

Kayla and Steve met Stephanie at the Brady Pub. She tearily reported that Max lied to her and was gone to find his sister. She showed her parents the "sappy" letter Max wrote, then sniffed, "If he loved me, he wouldn't have done this." Steve urged her to be fair, then admitted he told Max not to take Steph to Europe with him. Steph was angry that Steve interfered, explaining that she should be with Max. She also told him he'd have to cool it on the overprotective dad bit.

Aboard a train in France, headed for Marseille, Max entered his sleeping car. A strange man lurked outside. It was Remy, a member of the paparazzi, who was snapping photos of Max since he was a celebrity there. Max urged him to do something more worthwhile with his time. Remy made a call to someone, telling them that Max was back in town. Max got a text from Stephanie, wishing him well on his trip.

Hope read to Ciara at the Brady house. Bo came in and said good morning to them. He noted that he slept fitfully. Hope pointed out that he had a lot on his mind because of the Hollingsworth case and Victor being in the hospital. When Hope left the room, Bo listened to the tape of Philip threatening Paul. Abe brought Theo over to play and asked Bo about Victor and the Hollingsworth case. Abe noted that he felt that there was a piece of the puzzle missing. He wondered why Paul would just leave Morgan cash, though it was a lot. "Something's off," Abe said. Bo left to check on his father. Hope and Abe chatted after about Theo's autism and Abe and Lexie's relationship. Ciara came in and told Hope that Theo was mean to her. Abe mediated, then explained to Hope after that Theo was being difficult and didn't want to share, so he promised the boy they'd get ice cream if he behaved. They had another heart-to-heart about Theo and Lexie.

At the hospital, Victor thought about Philip's admission that he did something to hurt the family and his monitors went wild. Philip, who was in the room, panicked. Lexie rushed in, with Kate on her heels. Kate worried about the state of her son, who didn't look too great. She asked if something happened between Victor and Philip to rattle Vic. Philip admitted he told Victor something that could have upset him. Kate insisted he tell her what was going on. He made a vague comment about letting Victor down. Bo arrived, so Philip and Kate went to get coffee. Lexie updated Bo on Vic's condition, then left him alone with his father. Victor woke up and asked Bo about the Hollingsworth case. "You've got the goods on Philip, don't you?" he asked weakly. Victor asked Bo about the tape, then reminded him that he promised to protect Philip. Bo pointed out that he took an oath to uphold the law. Victor begged Bo not to implicate Philip. During their discussion, Victor's monitors began to beep rapidly. Lexie came in and asked Bo to leave. Kate and Philip returned. Lexie told the group that Victor was sensitive to stress and could not be upset. Once again, Kate demanded to know what was going on. Bo went inside to see his father. Victor urged him to leave whatever evidence he had on Philip. When Vic's monitors went wild again, a conflicted Bo left his father the tape.

Lexie came to Hope's house to meet up with Abe and Theo. Abe gave her a report about Theo and Ciara's playdate. He told Lexie how proud he was of her and how she was an inspiration to him. "You're just such a terrific mother," he praised. They exchanged "I love yous."

Thursday

Morgan went to the station and Abe gave her the money that Paul left her. She said she didn't want it. Marlena arrived at the station to talk to Roman about — what else? —Sami. Roman told her how Lucas was going back to jail, EJ was threatening to sue for custody of Johnny and EJ had sex with Nicole and Chloe had sex with Lucas. Marlena blamed herself, since she was torn between two men for years, and didn't provide a good role model for Sami. Roman said it wasn't her fault. Abe interrupted and filled Roman in about Morgan and the money. Later, Marlena asked Roman if he could somehow bend the rules for Lucas, but Roman said absolutely not.

At the Brady Pub, Stephanie read a text from Max, telling her he missed her. Caroline worried that Max hadn't come home the night before. Steph told Caroline that Max was on his way to France. Caroline read a letter from Max, where he explained that he left to go to Europe and find his sister. Chelsea came in and asked Steph why Caroline was so upset. Steph explained what was going on, then told Chels that she was on her way to meet Max in France. Chelsea made a quick call to Morgan, who came to the Pub. The girls surprised Steph with a "bon voyage" package. She took off.

EJ introduced himself to Trent (whom he called Brent) and tried to make out how Trent knew Nicole. Trent said he was "quite a good friend" of Nicole's. She walked over while the men were chatting. EJ didn't like that she was dining with Trent. Nicole assured him she could take care of herself. EJ walked away, but not before warning Trent that he was keeping an eye on him. Trent told Nicole to go find out where Max was. Nicole went inside and asked Steph, Chels and Morgan about Max. An evasive Stephanie said Max would be gone for a while. Nic reported to Trent, but he was annoyed because he wanted more information. He then reminded her to steer clear of EJ. Trent then called Max and asked why he didn't tell him about his trip. Max hung up on him.

Bo left the tape of Philip's threat to Paul with Victor. He left the room and told Kate that he needed to talk to Philip alone. They walked away. Daniel went to check on Victor and told Kate that he didn't want anyone disturbing Mr. K. Daniel and Kate danced around their past. Kate went in to sit with Victor and asked what was going on with their son. He gave her the tape recorder and she heard the threat. Daniel came in, as did Caroline, so Kate left. Caroline and Victor talked about Bo.

Bo took Philip to his house and told him about the taped recording of his death threat. Philip was concerned, but Bo told him that he gave it to their father. Bo then asked his brother point-blank if he killed Paul. Philip told him no, adding "I can't believe you would ask me that." Philip wondered why Bo was helping him. Bo seethed that it was for Victor, since it went against everything Bo believed in.

Ava wanted to celebrate the disk being gone. She and John toasted to the future. EJ came home and was uncomfortable to find them "frolicking" on the couch. Ava went to the kitchen to get some snacks. EJ suggested to John that they work together. John agreed to let EJ work for him.

Daniel went to the Pub to see Chelsea. She asked about her grandfather. Daniel noted that he thought Bo might have said something to upset Victor. She brushed it off. He smiled that he gets protective about his patients and kissed her.

Friday

On the train in France, Stephanie surprised Max. He asked why she was there. She explained that she wanted to be with him and that her father was okay with everything. He still protested. "If you won't let me help you, what kind of relationship do we have?" she asked. She went to leave, but he asked her to stay. They kissed.

Ava met Nicole, who was ordering clothes for Pookie, at the Brady Pub. Marlena spied Ava walk in. Nic asked Ava to dish about John, but Ava told her that nothing had happened between them. "He kept is strictly PG-13," Ava explained. Ava asked Nicole about EJ. She told her about the elevator sexcapade —and how she pushed him away. Nicole then revealed her secret past with Trent Robbins.

In a private booth, Marlena met with a disguised Rolf. John called him while he was with her. Rolf claimed to be at ceramics class. Marlena showed Rolf the broken disk and told him he needed to put it back together for her. She promised she'd get him immunity for anything he had done wrong, but he said he didn't trust her.

Judge Fitzpatrick arrived at the DiMera mansion to meet with EJ. John came in during their meeting, but John didn't recognize her. After, EJ made a donation to the judge's campaign on John's behalf, but she refused because of the controversy surrounding John. A persuasive EJ got her to accept it. She left. John came in and told EJ he spied the exchange via the cameras he has planted in the living room. "That's unnerving," EJ remarked. John congratulated him on a job well done. EJ remarked that John still didn't trust him. John said he didn't trust anybody, then noted that he did some research on himself and knows that EJ stole his kidney for Stefano. EJ apologized and said that it should show how loyal he can be. The conversation turned to the women in their lives. EJ insisted he was done with Sami.

At the station, Roman told Lucas he wasn't going back to Statseville. Instead, Roman asked him to carry out a dangerous mission. Lucas agreed, but didn't want Sami to know about it. "She'll freak out if she finds out I'm going to maximum security," he said, just as Sami walked in. Indeed, she freaked out and started to cry. Roman tried to calm her down, as did Lucas. Roman left the room; Sami excoriated her ex for breaking parole, again — and for hooking up with Chloe. Lucas was taken away; Sami broke down in her father's arms and gave Roman photos of Allie to give to Lucas. Roman invited Sami to dinner; she accepted. She returned to the manse and told EJ that Lucas was being sent back to prison. He was not too understanding, pointing out that Lucas did it to himself.
