DAYS Week of June 7, 2010
Monday
Nathan asked Stephanie why she had a morning after pill box. Steph explained she'd stopped taking her birth control pills. Nathan freaked. Steph said she'd lost them and didn't want him to think she was a flake, so she took the morning after pill just in case. Nathan wasn't happy. Steph sobbed she was doing all she could to fix things. Nathan said he was sorry and that he and Steph were in this together.
EJ told Arianna he was worried about Nicole providing her alibi. Arianna didn't think Nicole would send her to prison for something she didn't do. There would be nothing to gain from it.
EJ begged to differ. It would get Arianna out of the way with Brady and work. EJ asked how things were going with Arianna and Brady. Arianna admitted she wasn't quite as angry as before. Then, she asked EJ to do her a favor. Later, Gabi arrived. Arianna asked her sister to deliver a message to Brady that she was sorry. Gabi agreed.
Johnny refused to go to bed. Sami realized he missed Rafe. "Why won't he come home?" asked Johnny. Sami wondered the same thing. EJ joined mother and son. Johnny was drawing a family picture and noted he had to add Rafe. After putting the kids to bed, EJ said he was concerned about Rafe coming back as part of their extend family. Sami pointed out Rafe was Johnny's friend; then, mentioned how pleased she was EJ was defending Arianna. Suddenly, they heard a crash. Later, EJ talked to a doctor on the phone, while Sami held Johnny and told him not to run down the stairs. EJ asked Johnny who he wanted to bunk with, mommy or daddy. "Both," smiled Johnny.
Rafe and Shane conspired in their jail cell. They'd make their break at lunch time. The conversation switched to Sami. Shane realized there was another man in her life. Rafe noted how Shane called out Kimberly's name in his sleep. Shane noted how the Brady women got under men's skin. Later, Rafe told Shane he thought the DiMeras were behind Sydney's kidnapping. That's why he wanted to break out and question Anna. Rafe and Shane proceeded to fake a fight as the guard raced in to stop them.
Nicole told Brady she'd give Arianna an alibi, but was worried. She'd testify Arianna brought her the check Brady wrote to get rid of her, but he'd have to testify to writing it that night. Their stories had to be exact. Brady was pretty sure he wrote the check the night of Justin's attack. DA Woods entered. Nicole took note and told Brady they could lie to the police about that. Woods, who was listening, approached the pair and told them they'd made things worse for Arianna. What he'd heard killed her alibi. Woods left. Brady freaked. Later, outside the Kiriakis mansion, Brady apologized for yelling at Nicole and hugged her as Gabi approached. Meanwhile, Woods went to see Arianna and told her her alibi was shot.
Carly thought back to Daniel's vow to marry Chloe and muttered she had to tell him, tonight. Lexie asked if something was wrong. Carly noted she was having a personal problem. Lexie urged her to go handle it. Carly admitted it wasn't really her problem and wondered if she should just let things be. Carly decided it could wait until tomorrow, and Lexie left.
Chloe called the assassin. He told her to be at the hospital 11 p.m. He'd text her when it was time to get Carly into the elevator. Chloe realized she couldn't go through with it and phoned the assassin back. No answer. She phoned Vivian, leaving a message they had to stop this. Chloe decided to head to the hospital, but bumped into Daniel, who wouldn't let her leave. He had a surprise and gave Chloe a ring. Chloe was thrilled, but said she had to go. They kissed, and Chloe left.
Daniel picked up a message from Carly. He phoned the hospital, but she wasn't available. Daniel headed there. Chloe found Carly at the hospital, insisting they had to talk. Carly swore she wasn't trying to ruin Chloe's life. They argued about Chloe coming clean to Daniel about her affair. Carly thought Chloe was "on the edge." "You think I'm crazy?" asked Chloe, noting that perhaps Carly should be careful. "Are you threatening me?" countered Carly, walking away. Chloe and Carly continued spatting, when Chloe got the assassin's text. Daniel was in the hospital and pushed the elevator button. Then, Carly turned to get onto the elevator. "I have to go," announced Carly. "Yes, you do," retorted Chloe.
Tuesday
Sami told EJ she checked on Johnny, and he was fine. Yet, she was still upset. She couldn't survive losing another child. EJ told Sami to close her eyes and think of the good times with her kids. Sami recalled getting Sydney back. EJ urged her to remember that any time she felt worried and draw strength from it. Sami told EJ he was a big part of that memory. Arianna phoned and left EJ a message that her alibi tanked. EJ told Sami he was ashamed of all the hurt he caused her. Sami acknowledged the damage they'd done to each other. Yet, they were together and she couldn't imagine her life without him. She liked the sensitive side of him without an agenda. EJ said he had an agenda; wanting Sami and their kids to be happy. Sami fell for it hook, line and sinker, and they kissed. Suddenly, she pulled away and ran off.
A guard rushed in to break up Rafe and Shane's fight. Shane knocked him out and took his key. Rafe and Shane started to leave when another guard caught them. The duo was returned to their cell. Alone, Shane told Rafe he got the information they needed. He know knew where all the guard towers and exits were.
Gabi caught Brady embracing Nicole outside the Kiriakis mansion and went ballistic. She couldn't believe he was snuggling up to that "evil tramp." Gabi told Brady that Arianna wanted to see him, but now she had to tell her sister she was right to doubt him. Brady said he should be the one to tell Arianna. Gabi wondered if that meant Brady didn't love her sister. Brady headed off to see Arianna. Later, he arrived at Arianna's cell. Arianna asked what happened to her alibi. Brady explained Nicole threw out his check, suggested they lie about it, and Woods overhead. Brady swore they'd find another way to prove her innocence. Then, he told Arianna about Gabi finding him hugging Nicole. Arianna didn't believe it was purely innocent and turned away.
Nicole met Baker on the pier. He said his partner agreed there would be no more attacks. Nicole told him Brady was breaking things off with Arianna, and they'd be together soon. Brady wondered if Brady ever said those "three little words" to Nicole. She said he did, once, when she was too stupid to appreciate it. Nicole insisted everything was going to work out.
Daniel approached a hospital elevator on one floor and Carly walked into one on another, as Chloe received the text from the assassin. Chloe ran and grabbed Carly. She flung Carly out as the doors close. Daniel heard a scream as the elevator crashed down. He pried open the doors to find Chloe on the floor. Daniel begged Chloe to talk to him. Carly raced over and went to get help. Soon Lexie and Carly were wheeling Chloe off. Daniel paced outside the operating room, begging Chloe to survive.
Philip had a nightmare of cuddling in bed with Melanie, when she suddenly asked how he could cheat on her with Chloe. Philip headed downstairs and was joined by Maggie, who couldn't sleep because she was worried about Alice. Philip admitted he had a nightmare about something he'd done and wasn't proud of. Maggie pried. Philip said it was work related. Maggie suggested he tell the truth, noting sometimes the consequences weren't that bad, and said Philip still had Melanie. Melanie joined them, and Maggie headed back to bed. Daniel called and told Melanie about Chloe. She and Philip raced to the hospital. Carly said it was too soon to know if Chloe would make it. She told Philip and Melanie what happened and how Chloe saved her life. They were
arguing, when Carly approached the elevator and Chloe stopped her. "What were you guys arguing about?" asked Melanie. Meanwhile, Chloe awakened and muttered, "Daniel, I'm sorry."
Victor and Vivian arrived in their hotel room. Victor sensed something was amiss and asked what Vivian was trying to hide. She dodged; then, started ranting about Carly ruining her life. Victor admitted hating Carly, but he wasn't going let Vivian harm her. Again, Victor asked what Vivian was up to. Vivian went off about Maggie trying to seduce him with knitted sweaters and oatmeal cookies. Victor left to get a drink. Vivian called the hospital to inquire about the accident there. The nurse told her Chloe was in the elevator when it dropped and might not make it.
Wednesday
Nathan got out of bed and started to get dressed. He was relieved when Stephanie told him she wasn't pregnant. Julie told Maggie there was no change with Alice. When Hope walked in and asked what was wrong with Gran, they broke the news that Alice was slipping away. Julie made a list of family and friends to call, and the trio reminisced about how Alice always helped them solve their problems. (Flashback time.) Maggie phoned Nathan and summoned him to come see Alice. Hope left to tell Bo the sad news. Julie and Maggie wondered why Bo and Hope were apart, knowing they still loved each other. Nathan arrived and reported he'd seen Alice. "She opened her eyes once and said, 'Oh Tom, you're here,'" he recounted.
Stefano returned home and told Kate he was out walking because he couldn't sleep. He told her Madeline threatened to release her incriminating tape, unless he did what she wanted. "You don't threaten me and get away with it," spat Stefano, who was determined to get the tape and destroy it. He found out Madeline had a safety deposit box at the bank. Kate wondered how he'd get the tape from the box. Stefano said Madeline would get it or someone who looked like her. Kate asked who he'd get to impersonate her. Stefano gave Kate a look. "No," she shrieked.
Madeline and Chad talked about his graduation party at the Cheatin' Heart. Madeline wasn't happy to see Will there. Will and T talked about Chad and his mom. T thought Madeline was hot. Will thought there was stuff about Chad's mom that nobody knew. When Chad approached, Will mentioned the picture of Madeline and Kate. Chad said if they were friends, it was over now. Madeline told Chad she was leaving. Chad told Will his mom was all over his life, but he knew nothing about hers, so Will suggested finding out what the picture of Madeline and Kate was all about.
Carly was chatting on the phone with Bo about the elevator accident, when Melanie interrupted to ask why Carly and Chloe were fighting. Carly admitted it was about Daniel. She said Chloe could have died and that put things in perspective. Philip noticed things looking tense between Melanie and Carly. Melanie said Carly wouldn't tell her why she and Chloe were arguing, but was determined to find out what it was. So was Philip. He approached Carly about it. Carly said Melanie should back off. Philip realized Carly knew something.
Maxine and Daniel were in Chloe's room, when she started to stir. "I ruined everything," she muttered. Daniel assured Chloe she didn't --it was an accident. "Too many people know," whispered Chloe. Perplexed, Daniel got Chloe to calm down and examined her. They talked about her accident and their wedding. Carly entered, noting Melanie and Phillip were there. When Daniel went to see them, Carly told Chloe she wasn't going to tell Daniel about her affair. Daniel assured Melanie and Philip that Chloe would make a full recovery. Melanie left to get her dad some food at the pub and ran into a distraught Nathan. Carly urged Chloe to tell Daniel the truth, when Philip arrived to see her. Alone, Chloe admitted she was worried about Daniel finding out about them, because Carly knew about her tryst, too, and was pressing her to tell Daniel. Philip urged Chloe to keep quiet. Daniel walked in and overheard.
Steph ran into Caroline and they discussed Victor and Vivian's wedding. Caroline asked how things were going between Steph and Nathan. Steph noted he was "the one" and confessed she'd stopped taking her birth control pills, but thankfully wasn't pregnant. Caroline got a call from Doug and told Steph it was very bad news.
Abe and Theo arrived at Bo's house. Ciara and Theo ran off, as Bo looked for Ciara's homework. He found it beneath his divorce papers. Abe wondered if Hope knew about them. Bo noted Hope was the one who wanted a divorce. Ciara told Theo she saw her mommy hugging a man. She also mentioned her missing treasures and how her daddy didn't believe her. Bo interrupted and asked what the kids were talking about. Ciara mentioned her stolen treasures. Alone, Bo told Abe he was worried about Ciara. Abe noted kids change when their parents break up. Bo said his marriage was over; then, thought about telling Alice how he was devoted to Hope and Shawn D. Hope arrived, fell into Bo's arms, and started sobbing that Gran was dying, just as Carly walked in.
Thursday
Jennifer arrived at Maggie's house and they hugged. The duo bonded over their love for the ailing Alice. Jennifer said Alice was a big part of her life and she often thought about her words of wisdom. "She taught me what family is and what it really means," said Jennifer. Maggie concurred.
Carly apologized for interrupting Bo and Hope. Hope wanted to leave, but Bo asked her to stay. Bo told Carly what was happening with Alice. Carly decided to head back to the hospital. Bo thanked Hope for staying. Hope was glad Bo was there for her and asked what he wanted to talk about. Bo decided not to mention the divorce papers. The only thing that mattered now was Mrs. H. Bo wanted to go see her and say goodbye.
Carly bumped into Jennifer on the pier. Carly had a feeling she'd be seeing Jennifer in town, when she heard about Alice. The two old friends caught up. Soon, Jennifer was at Bo and Hope's house. She went on about Ciara and what a cute combination she was of her parents. Things got awkward, so Bo decided to leave, noting he'd call Shawn. Jennifer consoled Hope. Later, Jennifer got a call from Jack and looked for a piece of paper to write something down. As she shuffled through things, she saw the divorce papers.
Nathan told Melanie his great grandmother didn't have much time left. She offered her condolences. Melanie brought up Stephanie and the fact she wasn't taking her birth control pills. Nathan couldn't believe Melanie's nerve. He said Steph already told him she'd lost her pills and took Alternative B to prevent a pregnancy. Melanie apologized. Nathan wasn't interested. Steph wondered what was going on. Nathan said it didn't matter, because he and Melanie were done.
EJ phoned Arianna, noting he'd arranged for some strategy time before her arraignment. Meanwhile, Brady stood by the Kiriakis pool, when Nicole started kissing him ... not! It was just Nicole's fantasy. Brady entered the foyer, and Nicole told him she was there to go to Ari's arraignment. She feigned feeling terrible about blowing Ari's alibi. She wondered if it was possible there was something to these accusations. Brady insisted Ari was innocent. A guard brought Ari to the interrogation room, where she found Nicole babbling about Brady and what Gabi saw. "I'm onto you," spat Ari, pressing Nicole to admit she wanted Brady. EJ interrupted, noting it was time to go. EJ stopped Nicole, noting he knew she wanted Brady, too, and accused her of framing Ari to get him. Nicole called EJ "insane." EJ vowed to find out the truth and put Nicole in jail.
"Secret? What can no one know?” Daniel asked Chloe and Philip. Philip said Chloe was still in pain. Chloe noted her heart hurt and asked for a moment alone with Daniel. Philip left. Chloe said Philip knew something, but she was afraid to tell Daniel because he wouldn't love her any more. Daniel said that wasn't possible. Chloe was the love of his life. Daniel got called away, and Philip returned. Chloe admitted she was going to confess about their affair, but couldn't. She was just scared Carly might blab. Chloe asked Philip to go to her apartment and get the gift she got Daniel. She wanted him to have it. Philip obliged. Daniel returned to see Chloe. She gave him his gift: a watch inscribed to the love of her life. Daniel was touched and got into bed beside her. Daniel asked Chloe if she wished they were getting married right now. "Of course I do,” smiled Chloe. Daniel went to call Father Matt and summon him to the hospital pronto. Carly overheard. Then, Daniel phoned Melanie, who was with Philip, and asked them to come to the hospital for a wedding. Carly entered Chloe's room and told her, "You know what you have to tell Daniel before you get married."
At the pub, Bo and Caroline talked about Alice. Bo said he went to see her, but she was sleeping. Bo remembered old times with Mrs. H and how she always came through for him, even today. "Before Hope told me what happened, I was going to talk to her about the divorce. Thank God I didn't,” noted Bo. Just then Hope found Jennifer and asked what she was looking at. Jennifer handed Hope the divorce papers.
Friday
Bo was on the phone at the pub leaving a message for Hope to call him. Maggie arrived and wondered if the call was about Alice. Bo said it wasn't. Maggie sensed something was wrong. Bo said he was worried about Hope. Meanwhile, Hope stared at the divorce papers. She told Jennifer she'd asked Bo for a divorce months ago, but thought he'd forgotten about it. "You don't want this divorce anymore, do you?" asked Jennifer. Hope admitted she didn't, but the only thing that mattered now was Alice. The cousins hugged.
Later, Jennifer was with Maggie, when Marie arrived. The trio reminisced about Alice. Marie remembered her mother scolding her for not going to services, after she'd miscarried. She asked Maggie how she'd ever say goodbye to her mother. Maggie assured they'd all get through this.
Hope arrived at Alice's house and had a flashback of Gran giving her advice about Bo. Bo walked in and said he'd been calling her. "Because of the papers?" asked Hope. Bo swore he didn't mean for Hope to see them. Hope swore it was okay. She asked for the divorce. Bo didn't think any of this was okay and insisted he wanted to be there for Hope during this time. Hope grabbed a issue from her purse and a prescription bottle rolled out of it. Bo asked what they were. Hope explained they were pills to help her sleep. Bo told Hope she could call him anytime; then, went upstairs to see Alice. Hope picked up a picture of her, Bo and Alice and cried.
Brady was on the phone yelling at someone to keep digging to clear Arianna, when Victor walked in. Brady thought he was there to gloat. Victor said was there to help. He handed Brady a new money clip, since his old one was stolen. Brady asked if Victor would help him clear Arianna. Victor suggested Brady face what Arianna had done. Brady was annoyed. Victor relented, noting he was there for his grandson.
Nicole ran into EJ, who grabbed her. He taunted Nicole about setting up his pal Arianna. "I'm going to send you back to prison," he threatened. Nicole said everyone would question his motives, thinking it was payback. They discussed their marriage gone wrong. Nicole told EJ he was never as happy as when he was with her and Sydney. EJ called Nicole delusional. Nicole said she heard EJ moved Sami into the mansion and thought it was a desperate move on his part. EJ countered that desperation was her trying to get Brady by putting Arianna in jail. Nicole went ballistic. EJ said he knew she was behind the muggings. Nicole said the idea was crazy. Besides, he couldn't prove a thing. EJ said once he remembered the guy who attacked him, she was toast.
Melanie visited Arianna. They discussed her arrest. Arianna whined that she didn't have an alibi for any of the muggings. Melanie offered to give her one. Arianna wouldn't let her. Melanie couldn't understand why Brady couldn't help with all his money. Arianna said she and Brady were done. Melanie refused to believe it. She explained how he didn't initially believe she was innocent; then, Gabi found Nicole in his arms. Arianna knew Nicole would do anything to get Brady. Melanie encouraged her to keep fighting, insisting Brady loved her. Later, Melanie ran into Brady and slapped him; then, she went off about Nicole. EJ turned up to visit Arianna. He told her he was sure Nicole was working with the guy who attacked him and vowed to remember who he was. Baker was on the phone telling some guy he'd get his money. Soon, another guy approached and threatened him. Baker pulled out Brady's stolen money clip filled with cash and paid the guy off. Nicole arrived and filled Baker in on what happened with EJ. They had to stop him, now! Meanwhile, Brady was at the pub. He fiddled with his new money clip, when the guy who threatened Baker noted he'd just seen one like it. "Where?" asked Brady. The guy sneered that it slipped his mind.
