Sami wondered why Will was so suspicious of Rafe's motives regarding adopting Grace. He thought it was shifty that it was happening so fast and that Sami and Rafe weren't getting married. Sami insisted Rafe meant well. Sami asked Will to watch Grace so she could go to the Pub. Mia came over. Will complained about the studying he was doing. Mia asked what else was wrong. He told her about his fight with Sami. Mia asked to hold Grace and smiled at the baby in her arms.

Arianna restated her belief that Sami was not right for Rafe. She pointed out that "it's all happening again." Max overheard and asked what was all happening again. Arianna introduced Max to Rafe. "Sami's Rafe, right?" Max asked. Rafe excused himself to make a phone call. Max asked Arianna about her ominous conversation earlier. She brushed it off as brother/sister stuff and asked him to forget what he heard. He said he would, then went to chat with Chelsea in London. Rafe returned to the table. Arianna assured him Max would keep mum.

Sami ran into Rafe at the Pub. She told Rafe about Will's reaction to the adoption and pointed out that she was lying to her son and he could tell. Rafe insisted it was all to keep Grace safe from EJ. He added that he was there for Sami and she didn't have to go through things alone anymore. They kissed.

In the morgue, Owen tended to an unconscious Stephanie's facial wound and covered it up with the makeup used on dead bodies. He marveled at her beauty and vowed he wouldn't turn her over to Mr. DiMera.

Philip and EJ made plans to meet up and make the Stefano/Stephanie exchange. Philip revealed that Stefano had received his dose of insulin. After, Philip went over details with Victor. Brady came in and asked what was going on, but they didn't respond. Victor excused himself. Brady confronted Philip, who insisted he and Victor were taking the high road and were going to end the feud peacefully. Philip cryptically added that he was going to make things right. Brady asked what he meant, but Philip said he couldn't tell.

Owen went to find the phone he dropped outside. It was ringing: EJ was calling. EJ demanded to know why Owen hadn't been in touch. Owen apologized. EJ asked him to bring Stephanie to a meeting spot. Owen asked if she would be okay. EJ told him not to ask questions. After they hung up, Owen sighed that EJ was planning something bad. Back inside, Steph came to and asked what happened to her. Owen told her she fell. She noticed that her hands were tied and asked him to untie her but he said he couldn't. She promised to be good. He told her it didn't matter because she would be leaving soon. She panicked that he was turning her over to the DiMeras. "They're going to kill me!" she exclaimed. She urged him not to take her to EJ.

Bo went to the Pub, where he was waiting for warrants. He told Max he put a tail on Victor, but Vic had dodged the surveillance team.

EJ called Philip back and they secured plans to meet. Brady overheard Philip's end of the conversation and deduced what was going on. Brady asked Phil if he had found Steph. Phil lied that he did. Philip took off. A worried Brady called Bo and asked him to meet. Bo hurried to the Java Caf. Brady reported that he was certain something had happened to Stephanie.

Victor fetched Stefano to ready him for the exchange. Stefano asked what had changed but Vic wouldn't tell. Philip arrived at the pier. Victor called to see if Stefano "the shipment" had made it there and Philip reported he had. EJ waited elsewhere to meet Owen, who was still at the morgue with Stephanie. He called Owen. Steph begged Owen not to answer, but he did. He told EJ that there had been a slight change in plans.
