Rafe 2 questioned Sister Barbara, who thought he was the real Rafe. Sister Barbara was confused about why he returned so quickly. She was also suspicious of his demeanor and the change in his appearance. Rafe 2 realized that the real Rafe was nearby, so he lied that that they were twin brothers. Rafe 2 insisted his brother was troubled and it was important that he locate him.

At the safe house, Sami lashed out at Rafe and demanded to know why he followed her. Rafe was confused and said he had no idea what she was talking about. Rafe added that he didn't even know her. Sami got angry and suspected Rafe was playing games with her. Rafe picked up the ATM card off the floor and asked if his name was Javier. Sami grew more frustrated and expressed hope that he was having a breakthrough and the old Rafe was back. "Rafe?" he quickly noted. "Is that my name?" Sami wanted to leave, but Rafe pleaded with her to stay. Rafe explained that all he could remember was being locked up and escaping. Rafe added that guards shot at him and he ended up in a ravine, where a nun rescued him. "I'll take you there!" Rafe volunteered. Sami noticed that Rafe was bruised and commented that she didn't recognize his shirt. "You seem like you!" Sami shared. "But how do I know two minutes from now you won't be yelling and being mean to me?" Rafe expressed genuine concern that anyone would hurt Sami. She started to leave and Rafe tenderly put his hand on her arm and apologized for whatever he did to hurt her. The physical connection between Sami and Rafe was palpable. "I want to believe you," Sami voiced. "But you have to know I can't; I can't trust you." Sami turned to leave and was shocked to see another Rafe standing at the door.

Nicole gleefully informed EJ that Taylor packed her bags and left the DiMera mansion. Meanwhile, Taylor went to the bus station and purchased the first ticket out of Salem. Lexie saw Taylor before she left and urged her to remain in Salem. Taylor confided her confusion over EJ's change of heart.

Daniel acted quickly when Jennifer had a severe allergic reaction to the food he made. After he gave Jennifer a shot, Daniel rushed her to the hospital for further treatment. At the hospital, Melanie wondered if Carly was troubled that Daniel was dating Jennifer. Carly denied it. Melanie was introduced to Abigail at the hospital. Abigail thanked Melanie for her role in saving her mom's life. Daniel accompanied Jennifer to the hospital, where she was treated. They laughed off the incident and agreed to go on another date. They sealed it with a kiss. Abigail learned about Jennifer's allergic reaction and assumed it was because Daniel put the moves on Jennifer and she felt guilty because of her feelings for Jack. Abigail shared her suspicion with Melanie and she defended her dad. "How long have you even known him?" Abigail inquired. "He's been in your life for, what, ten minutes?" Melanie's demeanor toughened and she ordered Abigail to shut her mouth.

At the Cheatin' Heart, a vulnerable Chloe was charmed by a handsome stranger named Quinn. "How bad are you?" Quinn playfully asked. "Why don't you pay the bar bill and find out?" Chloe challenged. Quinn brought Chloe to his hotel room and they kissed. "You are incredibly beautiful," Quinn quietly told Chloe as he stroked her neck. They shared another kiss and fell onto the bed, locked in a powerful embrace. Later, Chloe showered and realized that Quinn was gone. Chloe found an envelope on the bed. In a note, Quinn wrote," You are amazing, best ever." Chloe was puzzled that the envelope contained cash.
