Monday
EJ continued ranting at Stefano for lying to him and letting him mourn a child that wasn't his. Stefano said if he hadn't, EJ would have ran to Sami, who he still loves. EJ started choking Stefano. Kate raced in and stopped him. EJ told Kate his father destroyed everything he touched. "You are dead to me," he spat, literally. Stefano recalled saying those same words to Tony. EJ said he understood why Tony disowned Stefano. He accused Stefano of being the reason Sami didn't want her child living in the mansion. EJ announced he was moving out. He would find his own home and family without Stefano. Later, Kate assured Stefano that EJ would come around and noted how many times she'd been disowned by her children. Stefano thanked Kate for her support.
Arianna flipped when she learned Brady posted Nicole's bail, Had he told Sami, yet? Brady didn't understand. Arianna explained the Grace/Sydney baby switch. Brady was stunned and insisted she was wrong. Arianna insisted she wasn't. Brady couldn't believe he'd let Nicole bamboozle him and was upset Arianna hadn't told him sooner. Arianna reminded Brady he'd kept Nicole's miscarriage a secret. Brady couldn't believe Nicole stole Sami's baby. He recalled everything that happened the night at the clinic and how Nicole convinced him to keep the news from EJ. Arianna noted Brady wouldn't have done those crazy things if he still didn't love Nicole. Brady got angry and left. Arianna took a call from Troy and agreed to meet him. Then, she sent a text warning someone that Nicole was out of jail. Troy and Arianna made a drug deal at the Cheatin' Heart. He explained they had a new boss, who wanted her to be productive. Arianna promised she would be. On her way out, she bumped into EJ.
Nicole thought back to her confrontation with Sami and realized she couldn't leave without Sydney. Chad interrupted, asking where the tyke was. Mia interrupted asking why Nicole was out of jail. Chad was stumped. Mia explained the whole convoluted story. Nicole lied to her, so she lied to him. Mia said the reason Chad's DNA didn't match Sydney is because she wasn't their daughter. Grace was. Nicole switched the babies. Their child was dead. Later, Chad and Mia stood at Grace's grave and mourned.
Rafe, Sami and her kids enjoyed a family moment with Roman and Caroline. Will joined them and realized Sydney was his sister. Everyone remembered Grace and was thankful for having Sydney. Roman took Sami aside and told her the hit man who shot at Rafe accused EJ of hiring him. Sami refused to believe it. Will worried about Mia. Sami pointed out that Mia might find comfort in the fact that she got to know Grace. Everyone began discussing Thanksgiving. Sami thought it would be the happiest ever. Nicole stood outside Sami's door eager to see Sydney. Inside, Sami encouraged Will to make things right with Mia. Will agreed to try. Sami was glad he was a forgiving person and swore she'd never forgive Nicole. The gang left. Roman took the twins with him. Nicole was just about the knock on the door, when Brady stopped her. Nicole said she wanted to see Sydney. Brady carted Nicole off, noting that wasn't going to happen.
Melanie pulled away from her kiss with Philip and slapped him. Then, she went off about being attracted to him, but that it was because she was screwed up. Philip didn't get it. Melanie asked him to leave her alone and left. Victor sat at the Java Caf and left a message for Brady. Philip arrived. Victor asked if he'd closed the Gatson deal. Nope. "Too busy trying to bed Melanie?" asked Victor, calling her a brainless vixen. Philip defended Melanie, noting his father mocked any woman he ever liked. "You want me to end up a bitter old man, just like you," spat Philip. Victor retorted that Philip was "a colossal screw up." Philip stormed off. Vivian asked if she could join Victor.
At the hospital Nathan asked Stephanie to do him a favor and donate blood. She agreed. Melanie arrived and asked Maxine where Nathan was. She directed her to the waiting room. Post blood donation, Steph felt faint and collapsed on top of Nathan just as Melanie entered. Nathan explained things and asked Melanie to keep an eye on Steph. Steph questioned Melanie about her love life, since she was conflicted last time they talked. Melanie swore there was only one guy for her: Nathan.
Tuesday
Mia and Chad visited Grace's grave, when Will interrupted. He'd heard the news and wanted to say he was sorry and shouldn't have judged Mia. Chad gave Mia and Will a moment alone. Mia admitted she'd lied to Will, but only to protect her baby. "It's not too late for us," announced Will. Mia said it was. Chad returned and they said goodbye to Grace. Later, Chad found Will at the pub and asked if Will would tell him about Grace. Will gave Chad a picture of his daughter.
Victor was stunned when Vivian joined him at the Jafe Café. He asked if she was in town because of Carly. Vivian said someone else had confessed to Lawrence's murder. Carly was innocent. Victor realized Vivian wanted Carly free so she could torture her and suggested she do it soon. Vivian realized Victor wanted Carly out of Bo's house, but couldn't get through to his son. She suggested Bo hear the facts from someone who didn't loathe Carly, like Kate. Victor noted Kate was married to Stefano. Vivian vowed she would always be on Victor's side and suggested building on their mutual hatred for Carly.
Hope asked Abe for a job on the force, but not working with Bo since they were still dealing with issues from the kidnapping. Plus, Carly was back in town. Hope noted she and Ciara were staying with Victor. Abe said as long as Hope was at the Kiriakis mansion, they weren't hiring.
Carly told Bo today was the day she was going to make contact with her future and past. Bo wished Carly luck. Later, she arrived at Maggie's house and explained she was staying in Salem. Carly asked Maggie for a recommendation for the hospital and Maggie agreed. When Mia arrived, Carly explained that she and Maggie were old friends. Mia told Carly about the baby switch and Grace's death. They embraced. Mia went off to her room, and Maggie returned. Carly asked if Maggie had an extra room she could rent. Meanwhile, Hope dropped by to visit Bo with Ciara. The tyke went upstairs to fetch a book and called out for her daddy. Bo ran up, and Hope recalled a spat with Bo, where she begged him to tell her what Carly was hiding. Hope spotted Carly's purse and decided to look inside. Bo returned and asked what she was doing.
EJ confronted Arianna about lying to him when they talked on the pier. She knew Rafe was in town trying to prove the truth about Sydney's paternity. Arianna swore she couldn't say anything at the time. When EJ noted Nicole was in jail, Arianna informed him Nicole had been released. EJ made a call, and Arianna split. Arianna returned to her room and there was a knock on the door. She hid the drugs. Gabi entered and asked about her sister's boyfriend. Arianna said he was great, but in love with somebody else. Gabi left, and Arianna headed out. When Gabi returned to borrow something, she found the drugs.
Brady got on Nicole's case for stealing Sami's baby and conning him into helping her. He wondered what was wrong with him loving someone like Nicole. "You love me?" asked Nicole. "Loved," retorted Brady. Brady suggested Nicole make amends with everyone she'd wronged right away, because he was going to revoke her bail. Back at the mansion, Brady was on the phone trying to revoke Nicole's bail, when Arianna arrived. Brady yelled at her for keeping the truth from him. Arianna confronted Brady about running after Nicole. She asked if he still loved Nicole. "Yes, I do," he admitted.
Sami and Rafe watched Sydney sleeping. They both checked their cell phones and noticed they had messages that Nicole was out on bail. EJ called, and Sami told him she already knew about Nicole. EJ wanted to discuss Sydney's custody and ordered Sami to come to the mansion. Sami, Rafe and Sydney obliged. EJ announced he thought it would be best if Sydney lived with him. Rafe got a call from Gabi and had to go. He met up with Gabi, who showed him the drugs she'd found in Arianna's room. EJ told Sami he was moving out of the mansion, because Stefano knew about the baby switch and didn't tell him. EJ didn't want Johnny and Sydney to ever see his father again. Nicole arrived, heard EJ and Sami arguing, and headed to the terrace door. EJ and Sami took their spat to the foyer. Nicole stared inside at Sydney, who was all alone.
Wednesday
Bo caught Hope rummaging through Carly's purse. Hope refused to apologize. She knew Carly was keeping a secret from everyone but Bo. Bo said it was Carly's decision to share her secret with whomever she wanted. Hope accused Carly of causing problems for her and Bo. Bo pointed out that they'd be having problems whether Carly was there or not. Hope said Carly was making things worse and she didn't trust her. Hope questioned Carly's story about murdering Lawrence and hated that she was putting Bo's life in danger.
Carly told Maggie she'd like to live with her. Maggie wondered if there was a reason. Carly said there was. She had to get out of Bo's house. Maggie noted there were two young women living there. Mia entered. Maggie asked if she'd be okay with Carly moving in. Mia was fine with it. Carly left. Maggie tried to comfort Mia, who cried that she wished she could bring her baby back. Maggie told Mia how lost she was when she was drinking, but she went to meetings and learned to be thankful for what she had. She said Mia could either go upstairs and be sad or help her bake some pies. Later, Mia thanked Maggie for making her feel like she had a family. Carly returned to Bo's house, noting she'd been to Maggie's and made a decision: she was moving there. "You're planning to move into the same house as your daughter?" asked Bo.
Kate was stunned to find Vivian and Victor together at the Java Caf. Kate asked why Vivian was back in town. Vivian congratulated Kate for taking over her old role as Mrs. Stefano DiMera. Kate said she had to go, but that they'd talk before Vivian jetted off to her next stop. Vivian announced she'd be staying in Salem. Kate warned Vivian to stay away from her and Philip. Later, Victor and Vivian were back at the Kiriakis mansion, when Hope returned. Victor left to take a call. Vivian brought up Lawrence's murder and how she didn't want him forgotten. Hope wondered how she'd make sure of that. "Couldn't have anything to do with Carly Manning by any chance, could it?"
asked Hope. Vivian noted Carly was proven innocent. Hope told Vivian to drop the act. Vivian suggested Hope drop hers, suggesting she was the one to see Bo's ex lover free.
Arianna returned to her room and found Gabby and Rafe waiting for her. "Why don't you tell us what you're doing with this?" asked Rafe, holding up the bag of coke. Arianna wanted to talk to Rafe alone. Gabi left, reluctantly. Arianna explained she was working undercover and told Rafe he had to keep it a secret. Rafe figured out Brady knew about it. Arianna admitted it was true, but said she didn't know where she stood with Brady because of Nicole. Rafe urged Arianna make things right with Gabi.
Nicole stared through the terrace door at Sydney, while Sami and EJ argued in the foyer. Stefano arrived home, and Sami laced into him for keeping the baby switch secret. Nicole entered the living room, anxious to hold Sydney one last time. EJ went off on Stefano, too. Stefano defended himself, insisting he was not the villain. Sami was the one who started this mess with her treachery. Nicole held Sydney and wondered how she could leave her amid all this fighting. EJ heard something, and the gang raced into the living room to find Sydney's playpen empty. EJ and Sami freaked. Kate entered through the terrace, noting she'd seen a figure in the mist moving away from the house. "It's Nicole. She's taken my daughter," cried Sami.
Rafe got a call from Sami, telling him Nicole took Sydney and she needed his help. Back at the mansion, Stefano barked orders into the phone demanding his minions find Sydney. Later, Rafe, EJ and Sami searched through the woods, while Nicole walked at the pier. Nicole realized she didn't have any money. She spotted Gabi wandering around and asked for her help. Nicole concocted a story about having an abusive husband and needing bus money to get out of town. She offered to trade her diamond bracelet for some cash. Gabi gave her some money, but didn't want the bracelet. Nicole insisted she take it. Nicole prepared to leave, when she saw someone coming. It was Arianna. She asked who Gabi was talking to. Gabi didn't respond. Arianna grabbed her arm, saw the bracelet, and asked where she go it.

Friday
Bo was concerned when Carly insisted on moving into Maggie's house with her daughter. He worried about the danger Carly would be putting the girl in. Carly, however, refused to change her mind. She was desperate to get to know her child. Later, Carly flashed back to her troubled life with Lawrence. She recalled running away during one of Lawrence's psychotic episodes after his illness. When she returned, she was pregnant with another man's child. Years later, consumed with his obsession over Carly's betrayal, Lawrence tracked down her daughter so he could have her killed. Carly killed Lawrence to prevent that from happening. It was the only way to save her child. Carly understood that Vivian might pose a threat, too, but she still wanted to be near her daughter. Bo was moved by Carly's love and determination and agreed to help her.
With the search for Nicole and Sydney producing few clues, EJ and Stefano were both at their wits' end. Having been alerted about the kidnapping by Sami, Roman arrived at the mansion and set up an investigation. Kate realized Stefano was searching for Sydney secretly, but kept the information from EJ. Stefano believed that only he would be able to track down Nicole and Sydney.
Nicole hid, while Arianna questioned Gabi about the bracelet she was wearing. Gabi refused to tell her sister where she got it. Instead, she turned the tables on Arianna and accused her of keeping secrets of her own by not telling anyone she was using drugs again. Gabi ran off, and Arianna followed her. Nicole took the opportunity to make her getaway, armed with a new piece of information about Rafe's sister
Rafe and Sami came up with a plan to look for Nicole. Later, Sami ran into Brady, who confessed he was the one who posted Nicole's bail. Brady apologized to Sami and offered to help her find Nicole. Sami was furious. She wondered when Brady would stop caring for the devious Nicole and rejected his offer to help. Rafe found Arianna, who admitted it was her fault Brady posted bail for Nicole. She told Rafe that Brady was still in love with Nicole. Sami arrived at the Brady Pub with police fliers alerting the public to Sydney's kidnapping. Gabi walked by, and Sami spotted her bracelet. She immediately recognized it as Nicole's and begin questioning Gabi about it. Gabi finally admitted that a blonde woman with a baby gave it to her.
Nicole arrived in a new city with Sydney in tow. She quickly went to work at changing her appearance, by dying and cutting her hair so no one would recognize her.
