Monday
Melanie was stunned, when Chloe revealed Carly was the one who knew about her paternity test. Chloe explained she'd had the test done at St. Mary's. Melanie remembered running into Carly there weeks ago. Chloe swore Carly never wanted to be in the middle of this and begged Melanie not to turn on her mother. Melanie fumed. Chloe pleaded with Melanie not to tell Daniel, noting it would just cause misery and pain for everyone; particularly her unborn child. Melanie spat at Chloe not to play her, like she did her father. Then, she headed off to get to the bottom of things.
Hope told Lee there was a mistake on one of the intake sheets. The inmate's number didn't match her medical background. April was brought into the infirmary with major stomach pains. A guard reported the doctor had left. Hope insisted she call the warden, so April could be taken to a hospital. April was touched by Hope's kindness. She told Hope she never really had a mother and was raised in foster care. She never felt like anybody in the world cared about her, until she hooked up with this guy in a gang. April cried out in pain. Hope reported an ambulance was outside. Later, Hope asked Lee if she'd heard anything about April. "Not yet," said Lee, telling Hope she had a visitor and it sounded important.
Bo and Carly chatted with Daniel, who couldn't wait to marry Chloe. Daniel left, and Carly told Bo how happy she was. Bo noted how the two of them came together, because they needed each other. Carly spoke about the agony of Vivian and the ecstasy of finding Melanie. Carly never thought life could be so sweet. Abe interrupted. Carly left for the hospital. Abe brought up Hope and how he'd heard she'd been attacked by another inmate. Bo said Hope didn't want to see him. He explained how hard this was on Ciara. Abe said he loved Ciara and that she'd been a good friend to Theo. Abe's phone rang, and it was Ciara and Theo's school. Apparently, some kids were picking on Ciara and Theo stood up for her.
Victor asked Philip what was wrong. Philip noted neither he nor Daniel had been able to reach Melanie. Daniel interrupted, noting Melanie had called him this morning saying she had to see him, but now wasn't returning his calls. Philip thought she'd probably forgotten to recharge her phone and went to get dressed. Daniel said he'd be right up. Victor got a few pot shots in about Chloe. Daniel scolded him for talking ill about the woman he loved. Victor said he couldn't help the way he felt about Chloe. "Neither can I," retorted Daniel. Philip returned, when his phone rang. It was Chloe, begging to see him. "Melanie knows that I cheated on Daniel," she announced. Philip promised he'd be right there,lying that there was a problem at the TV station. Victor continued dissing Chloe. Daniel told Victor he shouldn't show up at the wedding, if he couldn't support him marrying Chloe. Victor gave Daniel his wedding gift and told him that if Chloe was important to him, he'd accept her into their family with open arms.
Carly missed a voice mail from Chloe, trying to warn her about Melanie. Too late! Melanie showed up at the hospital and confronted Carly about Chloe cheating on Daniel, her paternity dilemma, and Carly knowing all about it. Carly said she couldn't discuss it, since she was Chloe's doctor. "You can tell me you didn't do a paternity test. You can tell me that you haven't been lying to Daniel and I for months," spat Melanie. Carly explained she made a deal with Chloe. If testing proved Daniel was her baby's father, she'd keep quiet. Besides, Chloe only had a one night stand and truly loves Daniel. Melanie couldn't except that. Carly urged Melanie to think about what was best for the baby. Melanie insisted she had to tell Daniel the truth.
Philip arrived at Chloe's. Chloe explained how Melanie confronted her about cheating on Daniel. She knew Melanie was going to tell Daniel. Philip explained he was just with Daniel, and he didn't know a thing. Chloe told Philip she didn't let on that her one night stand had been with him, knowing Melanie would be destroyed. Chloe also explained she'd let the cat out of the bag about Carly knowing the truth the whole time. She'd tried to call Carly to warn her, but couldn't reach her. So she called the hospital and was told Carly signed out to head to the wedding that wasn't going to happen. Philip told Chloe to put on her wedding gown. He'd go to Melanie and find a way to convince her not to breathe a word to Daniel.
Tuesday
Hope was surprised to see Bo was her visitor. She reminded him she'd asked him not to come to the prison. Bo said he needed Hope's help and so did Ciara. He told Hope about Ciara's fight at school and how Theo stood up for her. Bo noted that Ciara needed to know both her parents were there for her. Hope gave Bo some words of advice to share with their daughter and asked him to tell Ciara how much she loved her. She thanked Bo for setting her straight. Later, at the infirmary, Hope asked Lee if April was out of surgery. Lee told her April died.
Dr. Walters informed EJ he'd be going home soon. EJ phoned Sami, asking her to bring the kids by to see him, apologizing that they weren't having much of a honeymoon. Meanwhile, Rafe returned home and found Sami heading off to visit EJ. Sami said she didn't know how much longer she could keep up this hubby/wife charade. Rafe mentioned he'd been to the office. Sami recognized an "I know something" look on his face. Sami turned up at EJ's room sans the kids, but with Rafe and Roman. Rafe noted lab results showed EJ wasn't as fragile as before; Sami didn't have to worry about the truth killing him. "We're not married," she spat, explaining how Rafe stopped their wedding. Sami went on about the pain EJ caused by telling her Sydney was dead and how he was worse than Stefano. She gloated about her and Rafe being engaged. EJ started talking about their wedding. "It really is incredible. I seem to be remembering a lot about that night," he announced. Sami gulped. Roman suggested EJ call his attorney, since kidnapping charges had been filed against him. After the trio left, EJ muttered that he could see how scared Sami was and vowed to make her pay. He made a call telling someone he couldn't wait to get the proof he needed to destroy Sami and Rafe's world.
Sami and EJ returned home. Rafe sensed her nervousness. He told Sami he'd resigned from the FBI. Now, he no longer had a conflict of interest and Sami could tell him anything. He started talking about Will, promising to protect him. Finally, Sami confessed, "I am the one who shot EJ."
Nicole arrived at Chloe's apartment. Chloe told her Melanie knew about her affair and she feared she would lose Daniel forever. Philip returned to the Kiriakis mansion and told Daniel he couldn't reach Melanie, and was getting worried. Philip called Chloe and said neither he nor Daniel had heard from Melanie. He sent Daniel home to Chloe, so he could find Melanie. Daniel arrived and talked to an emotional Chloe and Nicole through the door. Nicole went outside and explained that Chloe and Melanie had had a fight and Chloe wasn't sure Melanie would show up for the wedding. Daniel headed to find his daughter and told Chloe he'd see her in the park for the nups. Chloe wondered if she should tell Daniel the truth. Nicole said Chloe had waited too long and suggested she focus on Daniel and their baby and urged her to get dressed.
Melanie told Carly she was going to spill the beans to Daniel because he deserved to know. Carly yelled at Melanie to grow up and not do it. Mother and daughter went back and forth about Chloe's affair. Carly insisted Chloe was trying to do the right thing and accused Melanie of being jealous of his father's bride-to-be. Carly brought up Vivian and how Chloe had been duped. Melanie wouldn't be swayed.
Philip found Melanie back at Maggie's. He told her he knew what happened. Melanie accused Philip of being on Chloe's side. Philip swore he was trying to protect Melanie. If she told Daniel about Chloe, every time he saw her, that would be the first thing he thought of. Melanie insisted Daniel deserved to know the truth. Philip returned to see Chloe. "I tried," he said, adding, "She's telling Daniel." Meanwhile, Melanie found Daniel and approached him with tears in her eyes.
Wednesday
Victor stopped by Maggie's to give her a ride to Chloe and Daniel's wedding. Maggie wasn't receptive, noting that between his marriage and her grief over Mickey, she realized she couldn't spend time with him. She felt disloyal to her husband. Victor understood, but suggested she take advantage of the limo. Once they got to the wedding, he wouldn't bother her.
Philip told Chloe that Melanie was determined to tell Daniel she cheated on him. Chloe couldn't believe she was losing Daniel on her wedding day. She wanted to be alone, so Philip left. Carly arrived, and Chloe told her she was sorry. "I never meant to bring you down with me," she swore. Chloe hoped telling Melanie that Daniel was the father of her child would keep her from exposing what she did. Carly consoled a sobbing Chloe.
Brady found Nicole at the park. He thought she'd be with Chloe. Nicole muttered about the wedding probably not happening. Brady wanted an explanation. Nicole dodged. She asked about Vivian. Brady assured he had things under control. Nicole asked if Victor was cool with their living arrangement. Brady said he'd come around, and they smooched. Arianna interrupted and asked what was going on between the duo. "We're together," spat Brady coldly, before heading off to fetch the wedding rings. Arianna asked what Nicole had done to Brady. Nicole said Brady finally came to his senses. Arianna left, as Maggie, Victor and Philip arrived.
"Dad, you can't marry Chloe," Melanie told Daniel. Daniel said he understood why Melanie was upset. "So you know?" asked Melanie. Daniel said Chloe was sorry and didn't mean to hurt anyone. Melanie asked what Chloe told him. Daniel said Nicole explained that Melanie overheard Nicole and Chloe talking about how the baby would be a real child to him. He defended Chloe, noting how much she wanted Melanie in their lives. Daniel asked Melanie to forgive Chloe and come to the wedding. "I can't do that, and you deserve to know the real reason why," said Melanie. Henderson interrupted, having burned his hand. Daniel tended to him. Daniel told Melanie to go to the park. They'd finish talking there.
Vivian begged Gus to help her. Gus said she got what she deserved and suggested Vivian find someone else to do her dirty work. Brady decided to check on Vivian via the monitor at the house and heard her plea for help. Vivian claimed to be talking to herself, noting she'd had an epiphany about why she hurt people. Brady didn't buy it and told Vivian he didn't care. After he left, Vivian pleaded with Gus.
Sami told Rafe she shot EJ. Rafe thought she was lying. Sami swore she wasn't and showed Rafe a message on her phone from Kate. "She called to tell me that EJ was going to take the kids and disappear," said Sami, noting she sneaked out of Rafe's bed to confront EJ and found him drunk and passed out with a gun beside him. "Something inside me just snapped," explained Sami. Rafe vowed to protect Sami and headed off. Will arrived. Sami explained she'd told Rafe everything and he was going to protect her. Rafe finalized resigning from the FBI, while Arianna searched for her brother. Instead, she happened upon Will and Sami and heard Will ask his mom, "What if somehow EJ realizes that you shot him?"
Chloe arrived at the park. She prayed Melanie would have a change of heart and not tell Daniel about her affair. Melanie didn't. She ran into Brady and told him something was wrong with her dad. Daniel phoned Melanie. No answer. He phoned Chloe, and Nicole answered. Daniel said he'd be there in a few minutes. Nicole delivered the good news to Chloe. Soon, Daniel was at the park. He told Chloe she looked beautiful and that they needed to find Melanie and make this right. Nicole said the justice of the peace was already there. Brady showed up with the rings. Daniel said they were waiting on Melanie. The justice of the peace asked if they were ready to start the wedding. Finally, Daniel agreed. Just as the ceremony started, Melanie showed up shouting, "Stop." She looked at Chloe, noting she was going to tell the truth about her.
Thursday
Rafe's FBI pal, Tim, asked why he was resigning from the bureau. Rafe explained it was to be with the woman he loved.... A hidden Arianna eavesdropped on Will and Sami on the pier, discussing the shooting. They heard a noise, but a call from Rafe interrupted any investigation into it. Will and Sami left to meet Rafe back at the loft. Ari wrestled with the knowledge she now had..... At the loft, Rafe instructed Will and Sami to never breathe a word about the shooting. Sami worried that she had ruined Rafe's life by forcing his hand to quit the bureau. He insisted it wasn't true and that he loved her and would die for her.
Kayla visited Stephanie, explaining Sister Anne had to reschedule. She could tell Stephanie seemed upset and asked what was wrong. Steph revealed that Melanie learned that Chloe cheated on Daniel and was probably stopping the wedding at that very moment. Kayla sat with her daughter and reminded her that Nathan loved her. Steph was still worried that he carried a torch for Melanie. "His name is Nathan Horton... I think his word means something," Kayla smiled. Stephanie was still freaked out; Kayla tried to reassure her.
In the park, Melanie rushed in and stopped the wedding. She asked to speak to Chloe -- alone. Daniel asked what it was about. Chloe excused herself to talk to Mel. Maggie wanted to see if Melanie was okay, but Victor stopped her from interfering. Daniel told Philip he hoped the women could work it out.... Melanie confronted Chloe about the cover-up lie Nicole told to explain their problems. Chloe insisted she was too rattled to correct Nic at the time and she was sorry. Chloe then declared that she wouldn't do anything to hurt Daniel ever again and implored Melanie not to ruin everyone's future. A conflicted Melanie agreed to keep mum, despite her better judgment. Chloe, clearly relieved, wanted to thank her. Don't, snapped Mel. The ceremony resumed. Chloe and Daniel exchanged heartfelt vows. After, Carly and Melanie had a tense moment. Daniel asked what was up; they covered. Melanie took off and Philip ran after his wife, but she got a text from Daniel to meet her at his apartment.
Chloe was beaming at the fact that she had become Mrs. Daniel Jonas. Melanie came by and Daniel asked his weepy daughter if she and Chloe had worked things out. She insisted they had. Daniel urged Melanie to get to know Chloe better. Chloe came out of the bedroom and saw Melanie there. Daniel went inside to get the luggage. Mel told Chloe that if she ever hurt Daniel again, Mel would destroy her. The newlyweds left on their honeymoon.
Maggie and Victor went back to her place and she made tea. Victor groused about Brady and Nicole rekindling their relationship.... Brady and Nicole went home to the Kiriakis mansion and had sex.
Dr. Walters released EJ from the hospital. While Lexie and Stefano were in EJ's room, a process server arrived with papers for family court. The Phoenix was outraged that Sami would slap his son with a court order at that moment. Lexie asked her father to be calm, for EJ's sake. Stefano fetched the car and they left. Arianna came rushing in looking for EJ. Ben told her he had been released. She hurried off.
EJ entered the living room at the DiMera manse and flashed back to his aborted wedding with Sami. Stefano could tell his son missed Samantha. "I lost her, and it causes me great pain and heartache," EJ confessed. "I loved her." Stefano tried to shake some sense into his son, but EJ just blamed himself for how Sami felt about him. The doorbell rang: It was Arianna. EJ invited her in. "You look flustered; what's going on?" EJ asked.
Friday
Gus contacted Vivian and told her he returned to Salem to rescue her. She was beyond thrilled.... A worried Nicole wanted to check on Vivian, but Brady kissed her to distract her. Victor walked in on them and was not pleased. "Get a room," he barked. Brady asked Nicole to let him talk to Vic alone. Brady warned his grandfather he and Nicole would move out if he didn't back down. Victor was confused because he thought Brady was using Nicole. "Are you in love with her again?" he asked incredulously. Brady insisted he was still using Nicole. Victor pointed out that Brady had turned into a jerk lately. Vic headed to the mausoleum for a "visit" with Isabella. Brady didn't want to join.... Gus arrived at the mausoleum and assured Viv via the device that he would get her out. He got inside, but someone knocked him out.
Sami surprised Rafe with a gift for his new loft — his framed photo of dogs playing poker that she retrieved from storage. He was touched because he knew how much she hated it. The conversation turned to EJ and the DiMeras. Rafe assured her everything would be fine. Sami admitted that Arianna stopped by and grilled Will about the shooting. Rafe said he would talk to his sister. After, he made Sami tamales; she thanked him for always making her feel better. They had sex.
At the DiMera manse, EJ asked Arianna why she seemed so troubled. She told him she had information that could change his life. They sat in the living room. Before Ari could spill the beans, Kate entered and joined the conversation. She insisted her grandson was innocent in EJ's shooting. EJ pointed out that if Will didn't shoot him, then Kate had nothing to worry about. Arianna's phone rang, so she excused herself. It was Gabi, who was impatiently waiting for her sister at the Pub for dinner. Back in the living room, Kate reminded EJ that Will was now part of the family. EJ gave Kate a speech about loyalty. Ari returned. EJ got a troubling call about work and got very agitated. After, he collapsed. The women helped him into a chair; he insisted he was okay. Ari hurried out. EJ was super-angry at Kate for interrupting them.
Melanie and Philip arrived home to Maggie's. He told her he believed she made the right choice by keeping quiet. Carly came by; Melanie demanded to know why she was there. Carly explained that she thought what Melanie did was great and wondered if it gave Mel any perspective on why Carly kept mum. Melanie replied that she understood why Carly did what she did, but could never forgive her. Philip tried to mediate. Melanie asked if she could speak to her mother alone. Philip obliged. Melanie cried that she finally had the dream family that she always wished for and now it was ruined, thanks to Carly. Carly was devastated. Mel kicked her weepy mother out. "I love you always," Carly told her, through tears. Melanie sobbed after she shut the door behind her mother.
Philip went to the Brady Pub, where he ran into Nicole. Nic asked Phil how he got Melanie to keep mum about Chloe's indiscretion. He was surprised Nic knew about it and wondered how much info she had. She just said she knew about the one-night stand, not who it was with. Philip was relieved. After, Nicole went home and Brady told her they needed to devise a plan about Vivian's future.
On the honeymoon, Chloe was excited about the opera tickets she and Daniel got, but he was unresponsive. She asked if he was still angry with her about what happened with Melanie at the wedding. He just wanted to put it in the past. She insisted she cared for Melanie and wanted things to be okay between them. Daniel said he hoped someday it would be. Chloe promised she would do anything to make it up to him and Melanie.
Arianna met up with Gabi and apologized for being late. They discussed homecoming, then the conversation turned to Rafe; Gabi told Ari that he quit the FBI. Arianna was stunned.
