No not at all. She wouldn't leave, they might ask her to leave because I am sure she is very well paid being on the show for so long but trust me I don't think she is going anywhere at least not that I know of.

I did. I haven't been to her web site, but I read that it does not confirm or dispute that she is leaving. The rumor is OLTL is letting her go...or at least thats what I heard. I don't understand why, she not on much anymore anyway.

Any story that is done has to be green lighted by him," Slezak explains. "It's [head writer] Ron [Carlivati]'s responsibility to come up with the stories but Brian has to green light them." She also says in the interview that all she can say is that she is not being used.... hum makes ya wonder what on earth is going on. I'm seeing the same non-since going on at all 3 soaps on ABC. I haven't read anything like that, but if OLTL bosses/ABC bosses ask her to leave they are asking for the show to tank. OLTL is nothing without the wonderful Ms. Slezak.

There would be riots if this happened. Remember the uproar over John Ingle (Edward Q on GH) being fired? This would be just as bad.

I love vikki she is the most loved lead actress on any of the 3 abc shows. If they let her go, they will be making a huge mistake. I can't seeing the show go on without her. I mean who wouldn't be affected by her absence. Who is Dorian going to fued with, or love Todd since she is the only one he has, and what about Charlie, and let's not forget Jess, Tess, and Bess.

It is simply ridiculous that they are even entertaining the thought of letting Slezak go, or even bumping her to recurring staus.If they need to trim the fat, they have the right to do it. Whatsmore, they have a fiduciary duty to the shareholders to make each show the most profitable it can be: it is a business. I fear they are missing the trees for the forrest, however. There are tons of story still on the Lord Family that are waiting to be told that will keep viewers watching.I also fear that if they eliminate Slezak's payroll, what's to stop them from going after Strasser's, Woods' Smith's, or Depaiva's payroll??And, the bigger question is: What haven't we heard any grumblings of the same happenings over at AMC or GH??

You aren't the only one still mad about Alan and this whole ghost nonsense. I miss the bickering with Alan, Monica, Tracy and Edward. There was still so much story to tell with all of them. Back to Ms. Slezak--if they were to fire her, that means nobody on that show is safe. It will be overran with a bunch of young kids and no anchor. What would Starr do without Aunt Viki? What would Dorian do? You can't take someone as important as Viki off the canvus and expect the show to keep going.

I totally agree! I have watched her since I was a little girl and my mom watch OLTL. This show would have a serious hole in the canvas without its heart and glue (Erika).

If they let ES go, they'd be cutting their throats, because I sure wouldn't watch One Life anymore, since Viki (Erika) is the main reason I watch. Huh, could be why I haven't been watching that much lately, there's been no Viki.

I loved Viki and Charlie and wish they'd be involved in the story more. Her whole family needs her right now and it's a shame she isn't even at the hospital with Starr, Nora, Gigi or Marty right now. Even without her own storyline, she should have a supporting one in this one.

This whole thing doesn't make sense right now. Viki would be there no matter what and with the writers not having her there shows very little respect to the actress as well as the viewers. We aren't dumb. She would be there for Nora while she went through this. She would be there for her niece while her mom was in the hospital. Charlie would be there for Rex even though they aren't blood. IMO---the writers truly blew this one by not having Charlie and Viki there to support the family.

I believe Vicki will be there at least I think I read, Vicki visits Blair. I could be wrong but it is wrong that it has taken this long.

This is true regarding higher paid actors not being seen nearly as much anymore on all soaps ( I think), is because viewership is down (economy), ABC would'nt rid themselves of the character of Vicki!!!Can't stand the character of Starr, that girls whines or yells her way through every conversation she has, Starr has one of those "grate on your last nerve" storylines ( asking Mr J "whose are these").

I read in a gossip paper that Erika Slezak and the guy who plays Ryan on AMC both said they would quit before they'd take a cut in pay. I don't know, but I think if my employer had made me a millionaire, I'd be willing to take a cut to help out.

How long has she been on the show? How many awards has she won? The show revolves around her character. Not so sure that Cameron should feel that way but think Erika is justified.

Erika has star power, Cameron does not. JMHO

OH...by the way....Erika has a new clip in the opening credits...something ABC is loathe to change for it is very expensive (look at GH).So, that bodes well for us in the Slezak front.

For me, One Life is Erika Slezak, Viki and it's a shame that they don't focus more on her or this character. This show needs more balance then what it has been for months, hopefully it will change in the future.

I agree, it's like for TPTB if your name is not Rex, Gigi, Jessica, Starr, Cole or John then you are pointless. I guess that explains why the ratings are as bad as they are. Hopefully they put some balance in this show before it becomes another guiding light.

I used to love this show, especially Viki and Charlie, and Natalie and Jared but I only tune in occasionally now. Everything moves soo slow. For the most part you can miss a few days and realized you really didn't miss a thing. If others feel as I do it's no wonder the ratings are in the toilet. This show can and should be saved not driven into the ground. Step it up, more Viki , Charlie and the core OLTL cast.

I know what you mean, it used to be that I couldn't wait to get home and watch the show but these days, I tape and then when I get the chance I go back and watch but most the time I just end up FF because there is no Viki, Charlie, Jared, and Natalie.

I don't even tape it anymore, the last time was when Viki died.,I keep up with it mostly by reading the mags., What irritates me the most is even the simplest question takes monthes to answer, and they talk about needing to find out the answer everyday. ARGH! Do they know who Rex' dad is yet, is it the person in the bed that Roxy wants to pull the plug on? Probably haven't answered it yet.Pull it together OLTL.

It (Rexs dad) seems to have been dropped for the moment. That drives me nuts. It was an issue for weeks then he fakes his death & thats it. We haven't seen or heard anything else about it. They do need to finish what they start. I bet they do bring it back up, later on down the road when I've forgotten all about it

nah,....I think they are just buying time. They are working through the whole Starr/Jess baby story right now. I like Carlivatti's style...so it will be worth sitting through.It does seem like it is dragging on though....LOL
