I agree with you about the romance & excitement. But, IMO, the couplings of Sonny & Brenda & Jason & Robin aren't good. Yes, the actors have chemistry in spades. But, that doesn't necessarily mean the characters are good together.Sonny illustrated the problem perfectly when he explained his relationship with Brenda to Michael. They were even more disfunctional that Sonny & Carly. Volatile people like Sonny & Brenda need a calm, stable mate. That's why Carly & Jax worked before they turned him from Prince Charming into Sonny with blonde hair & height.The problem with Jason & Robin is the same problem he had with Liz & Courtney. While she didn't have panic attacks in the middle of a shootout, she IS a doctor & she IS the daughter of 2 law enforcement officers & the niece of one. She should be with her husband & Jason should be with someone like Sam or this new version of Brenda (still a spitfire, but a lot smarter).The problem is not so much who the characters are paired with. It's how the storylines are being written. Patrick & Robin are a complex & interesting couple, when they're given a decent story. Sadly, the one they're in now is not that story. The same with Jason & Sam. As for Sonny, he shouldn't be with any woman longterm because he has the attention span of a flea & the urge to pollinate every flower he sees.

Nothing interesting about a man cheating on a women scrubs is by far the worse Robin pairing IMO. Robin is a Scorpio and is HIV + she deserves better then a man that puts his peter first before the health of his wife who he so call loves. And Robin was the step daughter of the main man in the mob and her parents were wsb agents and her mom was a double agent. Robin can hold her own when it comes to danger and the mob so your the arguement she is daughter of 2 law enforcement officers doesnt hold water IMO. Robin has been on both sides of the fence and is just as much danger from her parents being agents then any mob connection.And being married to Patty has put her and Emma in just as much danger by him thinking of himself first as he always does. As for Sam being a new Brenda LOL sorry Sam is nothing like Brenda. Brenda is a class act Independent women that doesnt need a man to make her whole unlike Sam. Brenda and Robin are the only females that make Sonny and Jason human mobster with a heart. Brenda and Robin both thought Sonny and Jason could be so much more but excepted them for what they did and who they were and are to this day. Just because they dont lay down like certain characters on the show but instead encourage the men they love to do something else for a living doesnt make them love the men any less actually quite the opposite it shows they love them more. Im sorry I have to totally dissagree with almost everything you said. I been watching GH for over 36 years and IMO Carly is the worst thing that has ever happened to Sonny and Jason.But thats just me.
