I hear you on that. Where are all the exciting stories? The thrills? Excitement? Mystery? Romance? I mean, I know that they are still wrapping up the horrible stories of Pratt, but didn't he have any plans for February sweeps? After they let go of Pratt in November, they should have done an immediate re-write and re-shoot to fix some of the crap that we are seeing now. The Greenlee story needs to speed up. I don't want to have to watch her sneeking around town for weeks, hiding from everyone, while she plots revenge. They need something traumatic to happen immediately. Why not try to do like GH did with the Metro Court a couple of years ago. With all of these random robberies and break-ins that are happening, why not have several of the residents be in a bank when thugs come in to rob the bank? Anything with some kind of excitement or intrigue. February should not be a bore-fest. News Flash AMC.....Watch One Life To Live or General Hospital!! They know what sweeps mean.

The ABC soaps have always been my fav's. OLTL & GH are great & I agree AMC needs to get it together. I'm trying to hang in there with them until they can clean things up. To be honest when its on I don't watch, but I do get house cleaning caught up. Brot is the only thing I like on the show right now.Tad and the woman they call Liza, Erica, Ryan Greenlee all make me sickMessing up Tad is upsetting me more than Zach leaving town.As far as Zach & Kendall.. I still hope they decide to move to Laineview / OLTL!.

Today, I did something I haven't done in years. I turned the channel, while watching AMC. I like you, have been trying to hang in there and give it a chance but I can't take it anymore. I can't even stomach to look at Ryan anymore. I'm so sick of him chasing down David to try and figure out what he's up to. It's just plain annoying. First, he dedicated his whole life to harassing Annie, now he's turned his attention to David. I remember the good old days when no one expected what was coming from the devious David. It takes the fun out of David's dastardly deeds, if everyone in town is sniffing around to see what he's up to. Give Tad, Jake, Liza, Ryan and especially the inept Jessie something to do, other than following behind David. I have watched AMC for over 20 years, but I just can't take it anymore. They are wasting camera time with this stupid Fusion crap. The girls of Fusion used to be so fun to watch. Now, it's just annoying. Let Erica try to get Enchantment back. She's a grown woman, stop making her act like a silly teenager!! And I don't know what they can do with Ryan, besides give him a couple of months off. I'm absolutely sick of looking at him. The writers have made him totally unlikeable, and I wouldn't care one bit if they killed his [censored] off!! Someone else they can get rid of is that stupid b*^%$ Colby!! I HATE HER!!! WHY ARE THEY WASTING GOOD CAMERA TIME ON HER?! SHE CAN'T ACT, AND THE STORIES THEY GIVE HER OFFER NO TRUE VALUE TO THE SHOW! Go back two actresses and have the first teenage girl that was playing the role to come back. She was better than the last two actresses that took on the role. I looked it up and her name is Ambyr Childers. AMC, give her the job back!! By the way, this whole jealousy thing with Randi and whatever her name is (the blonde chick) at Fusion is sooooo stupid. Can we not come up with a better story than this? I mean, how old are these women? WRITE BETTER!! AND DO IT FAST!!! WE, THE FANS, CAN'T TAKE THIS CRAP ANYMORE!! She was declared dead and is going to get revenge on Ryan and Erica for going on with their lives. This is not the Victorian Ages when widows and widowers never remarried or wore anything other then black after a spouse died. What qualifies her to be there making suggestions on any level other than in the mail room is a joke.Annie is still free and as atrocious as ever.So HD and some new lighting hasn't made any difference in the quality of writng. But it has made made me watch more closely to see all the lines and the heavier makeup the actresses have to wear to hide those lines. You can do it with the mute button on. It's better that way.YR is fantastic and on GH Jonathon Jackson just blew me away.

LOL!! Guess that's what I need to do is raise airfare, so I can go to California and Save My Soap. Normally, I don't get so upset about the direction that a soap opera takes. I mean, because over the years we all come across storylines that aren't our faves, but we can accept them and move on. But the whole show is a bad storyline. I can't come up with one current story that is worth a hill of beans. And it's like they think by telling the fans that some veterans are coming back, we are supposed to be happy with just that. Brooke, Dixie and Jack aren't going to be enough to save this show. I have never been in more fear of a show being cancelled than I am now. I grew up on AMC and have stuck by it through thick and thin....but like the game on the Price Is Right.....THAT'S TOO MUCH!! These stories don't have anywhere to go but the trash can. Usually soaps begin stories and expand them over a period of time, throwing thrills and intrigue in the mix. AMC doesn't have one story on the canvas that they can do that with. Every episode is just mindless dribble. Is anyone on the show in love? Don't use Jake and Amanda as an example, because he spends his should-be honeymoon days worrying about every move that David makes. I mean, come on, he just found out that little baby Trevor is his son, but he's consumed with David. The show doesn't have one decent villain. They've turned Adam into some mindless idiot. I mean, does anyone buy Annie and Adam together? The old Adam would have eaten her up for breakfast. Don't get me wrong, there could have been some potential with Adam and Annie's storyline...but they took it down the wrong path and lost the audience. Jessie and Angie (The Super Couple from the 80's). How can anyone mess that up?! Somehow they managed to do that. Jessie is the worst cop I have ever seen portrayed on any daytime soap. He couldn't solve a crime if his life depended on it. And shouldn't he be suspended for all the cover-ups he's been a part of. And can we get a reasonable guy to hook his daughter up with. I don't see a relationship building with the ex-military man. As a matter of fact, I don't know why he's even still there. Once he and Taylor couldn't make it work, they should have phased that character out. And no offense, but do we really need Marissa around? The only daughter of David's that we really wanted around was Babe. I know some people weren't too crazy about her, but I thought she was a great actress that added a little life to the show. Of course, I'm talking about the "original Babe." That recast that they killed off, never filled the shoes of the original. With that being said, what's up with all the horrible recast? If you couldn't get the original Liza (Marcy Walker), then why bother? I have nothing against Jamie Luner, but she can't fill those shoes. They should have just brought her own as a hot shot lawyer from out of town. She doesn't have the same chemistry with Tad, Adam or David as Marcy Walker did. Sometimes AMC, the original can't be replaced!!! Speaking of Tad, why aren't they trying to get Krystal and Tad together? They had chemistry before and they could have it again. Don't like this weird looking guy that they are trying to pair up with Krystal. That woman is a spectacular actress and they are not utilizing her. Well, if all else fails and she gets sick of AMC, I guess she could ease on over to B&B, since that's where she came from. And yes, I know I've stated in the past, on these threads that they could recast Zach since the original is not moving to LA. But I only really say that because I don't want Alicia Menshew to come back and have to be written into some Ryan/Greenlee/Kendall triangle. I don't understand why they couldn't make the same deal with Thorsten Kaye, as they did with Susan Lucci and Debbi Morgan. Fly back and forth....work something out. Because you can't base an iconic show, like AMC, on characters like Randi, Colby, Frankie, Amanda, Jake and Annie. At least not until you do some SERIOUS character building. The characters I just listed are what I consider, "filler characters." They are not headliners yet, so quit shoving them down our throats. I'll share another rant later, cause I have plenty to say. I'M JUST SO MAD!! THEY ARE RUINING WHAT USED TO BE THE CROWN JEWEL OF ABC, AND I CAN'T STAND IT!!!!

sorry about that Paul...LOL Got going on a rant, and didn't realize how much I was talking. Something about the episode that aired the other day that really pissed me off. Guess it's because I have so many years invested in AMC and it bothers me when someone comes aboard and totally ruins the show. They need some help over at AMC, and they might want to start looking at fans to come help save the show, since it seems like we're the only ones who can appreciate the history and tradition of AMC.

Paul, there hasn't been a good cop on ABCD since Robert Scorpio.This one of the many reasons I hate AMC now. Characters like Annie are allowed to make fools of those in the judicial system because a writer may think she's a character worth saving. Not. Billy Clyde Tuggle was probably the baddest of the bad on AMC along with Ray Gardner and by far were more popular and far more talented than Melissa Clair Egan. But back then writers knew how to tell a story.Though these characters may have thwarted the law sometimes, in the end they got what was coming to them, either death or jail never to be seen again. They did not become a front burner character. The writers knew you can take only a smidgen of these characters and then they must be gone. I know a villain doesn't always have to die, but geez they should get what's coming to them. This character needs to go. Let Jessie do a credible job by finding something about her or David for that matter that will give him back his integrity.... The police, (was it Jessie's uncle Frank that put Billy clyde Tuggle and Ray away? I cannot remember, they were intelligent and sincere honest and principled people. Not so the Keystone Kops Pratt or Guza write. They ought to be ashamed.

Cararn, ITA...Writers used to know who to write....They used to know how far you can take a character before it went to far & even if they did go to far, they knew to get rid of the character...Look at Ryan & GL..... Two useless waste of characters whose time has come & gone long ago.... Yet, they are still sucking the life out of the show..The king of Abuse & Anger Issues is supposed to be god's gift to all womenThe perpetual 12-year-old who stomps her feet & destroys things because she isn't getting enough attention should have been gone the mintue she became a baby-napping, baby-maiming stalker....Writers these day seem to not get it...ABC is supposed to want AMC to get back on it's feet & do better, but they continue to make the same damn mistakes...Centering the show around characters who have no business being on...Rewriting history...Villians never pay, victims always do...It's just sad....
