Monday
At Kelly's, Spinelli tried in vain to talk Lulu out of seeing Logan. He was so desperate that he tried to convince Lulu that she and Logan were related, but Lulu saw through his weak and icky scheme. She thanked Spinelli for his concern, then left in a huff. At Logan's apartment, Coop was furious to catch Logan and Maxie in a steamy clinch. Maxie covered that she was testing Logan's loyalty to his friend. Logan stated that Maxie came down there to jump his bones. A furious Coop stormed out. "I hate you," screamed Maxie to Logan. She vowed not to give up on Coop and ran out. Sonny was stunned when Mac arrived to arrest Kate. "She'd never break a law," Corinthos stated. Kate was being charged with reckless driving and sideswiping a police car. Kate was mortified that the press had gathered outside the Metro Court to cover her arrest, but Mac refused to give her any special treatment. "I am the press," nodded Kate. "They're going to eat me for lunch." Sonny gave Kate his jacket to cover the cuffs and told her to walk with her head held high. At the PCPD, Kate returned Sonny's jacket. He said, "You did it. Didn't you?" Sonny had Kate explain about her prior hit-and-run charge. She was not amused when Sonny stated that he's got a fugitive for a neighbor. Kate blamed her accident on Sonny's kiss earlier, which got her all flustered. Kate then refused Sonny's attempts to help. That is, until Mac dragged her down to lockup. Outside Kelly's, Sam met up with Lucky and informed him that Liz asked Alexis to try and keep Sam away from her family. Lucky was upset at his wife's interference. At the Spencer house, Elizabeth and Nikolas argued over what they kept secret from Lucky for all those months. Liz vowed to fight to keep her family together. In court, Carly and Jerry arrived and Diane announced a new strategy — the defense was going to prove Lorenzo Alcazar is still alive. On a recess, Jason chastised Carly for running off with Jerry, but she said she'd do anything to free her friend. Once the judge returned, Carly interrupted the proceedings by announcing that Ric was railroading Jason. The judge silenced Carly, and allowed Diane to present the evidence. The evidence in question were bank records from Venezuela, as well as photographs of Lorenzo allegedly dated two days prior. During the next recess, Mayor Floyd began to doubt Ric's ability to close this case. The mayor planned to give the case to Scotty, but Baldwin refused to touch it and called it "unwinnable." Lulu returned to the Spencer house, where she went easy on Elizabeth. She was supportive of Liz's efforts to keep her family intact. Meanwhile, Nikolas met with Lucky, who was short with his older brother on the subject of Liz's betrayal. At Kelly's, Spinelli overheard Coop and Maxie fight over her earlier kiss with Logan. Coop returned to Logan's, where he warned Hayes to keep away from Maxie. Logan apologized and begged Coop not to say anything to Lulu about the kiss. At Kelly's, Lulu met up with Spinelli and apologized for running out on him earlier. Spinelli spilled that he overheard Coop and Maxie arguing over her kissing Logan. Lulu couldn't believe Spinelli would lie to her again. After shouting at Spinelli, Logan entered and took Lulu to lunch.
Tuesday
Stuck in jail, Kate refused to "grovel" in order to get the charges against her dropped. Using her charms, she managed to get use of a cell phone and conduct Couture business from the interrogation room. Sonny managed to get her bail, but Kate refused it. She stated that leaving jail with Sonny in front of the media was career suicide. Mac flipped out on her and said either she leaves with Sonny or stays in jail. Sonny noticed two hookers brought into custody and got an idea. Later, at Sonny's house, a disgusted Kate entered in the hooker's garb, kvetching about her ordeal. "Drop the act!" Sonny barked. "You could do time." Kate got changed and was ready to leave. Finally, Kate admitted that she was scared of the possibility of going to jail. Sonny held a quivering Kate in his arms. At the apartment, Robin turned down a shirtless Patrick's offer of sex. "Maybe I'm just not in the mood," she replied. Patrick was miffed and believed it was because of their parents' burgeoning relationship. She denied that charge and walked out. At the hospital, Noah thought he'd passed himself off as Eli to Epiphany, but she warned him not to get caught up in the rock star lifestyle. Just then, a hostile Patrick bumped into a snide Robin and the lovers had a very loud spat at the nurse's station. As they harped on each other, Robin burst out with, "I might be pregnant." A bruised and bloodied Jax had his escape attempt foiled. Irina was upset that Jax tried to leave her, and made him an offer that he couldn't refuse, ie: "Have sex with me or perish." When Irina made threats against Carly and the kids, Jax gave in to her request and kissed her. Later, naked and handcuffed, Jax lamented his predicament. Spinelli sought advice from Jason on how to deal with Lulu's affection for Logan, while Lulu had a similar conversation with Carly. Lulu told her cousin that she's falling for Logan. Carly advised her to be careful with Logan and not to trash her friendship with Spinelli. After their talk, Spinelli arrived at Metro Court and bumped into Lulu. The Jackal expressed his sincere apologies, as did Lulu to him. When Jason's trial resumed, Ric called Sam to the stand. Ric gave Sam the rope to hang Jason, but she didn't take it. When asked if she ever heard Jason plan a mob hit, she said no. Sam was dismissed. "You owe her," Diane whispered to Jason. Diane then put the town coroner on the stand, who testified that he could not perform an autopsy when there's no body. At Metro Court, Jerry huffed into his phone, "Find my brother!" just as Carly approached him. Then, Carly got a call from Irina, who said she'd just slept with Jax.
Wednesday
At the hospital, Robin informed Patrick that she was concerned because she
missed her period and is always very regular. "Try not to look so panicked,"
she shouted at her beau. "I don't even know if I'm pregnant." Patrick was
frantic with concern, which didn't sit well with Robin. She insisted this
was not intentional and went back to work. Liz offered Robin support while
Patrick kvetched to Epiphany. Robin decided to take a break to have a test
performed. Shortly thereafter, Patrick apologized for his selfish response
and said whatever happened, they'd stumble through it together. Robin then
went to take the test. Patrick was thrilled the test came back negative.
Irina called Carly to say that she just had sex with Jax. Carly demanded to
speak to her husband, but Irina hung up. Carly told Jerry that the woman on
the phone had a Russian accent and the same name as Jerry's supposedly
deceased girlfriend. Carly demanded to know where Jax was. Jerry stated the
call was part of a ruse he planned, but Carly was skeptical of his claim.
Carly tried calling back; Irina didn't pick up. Then, Carly realized that
Jerry has lost track of Jax's locale.
Logan arrived at the Quartermaine mansion in order to declare his intentions
to date Lulu. She was touched by the old fashioned gesture but the Q's were
not swayed. They accused Logan of putting Lulu in danger due to his
connection to Sonny and kicked Logan out. Lulu insisted that she'd still see
Logan whether they approved or not.
During Jason's trial, Diane called Mac to the stand and pointed out that
despite Jason's numerous arrests, he's never been convicted of a crime. More
witnesses followed, including a rep from Alcazar's bank who testified that
while Alcazar supposedly made the recent transactions, the system could have
been twarted. Then, Amelia testified about her conversation with Ric about
how
sending Jason to jail was personal for him. Afterward, each attorney
presented his/her closing argument and the jury retired to reach a verdict.
At Kelly's, Lucky ran into Sam, who filled him in about the trial. She
relayed that she could have buried Jason in court but didn't. Lucky and Sam
commiserated about being betrayed by the ones they loved, while Maxie
watched from outside. Sam thanked Lucky for his kindness.
Lulu bumped into Maxie outside Kelly's and ordered her rival to keep her
"skanky hands off my boyfriend." The girls had words and Lulu left.
Scott stopped by Shadybrook to visit Tracy, who accused him of using Logan
to pursue Lulu in order to set a trap Luke. Scott denied that Logan was his
son and Tracy dared him to prove it. Logan then showed up and Tracy told him
it's time the men took a blood test to determine the truth of Logan's
parentage. He refused. Then, Lulu showed up and asked Logan if that's what
he really wanted.
Back at the hospital, Epiphany told Liz that she's too distracted to work
and she should go down to the courthouse to be with Jason when the verdict
comes in. She initially declined, but then Amelia showed up and urged Liz to
go to support Jason. At the courthouse, the jury returned with its
decision....
Thursday
At the courthouse, the verdict came in: Jason was found ... not guilty. "So
much for law and order," remarked Mayor Floyd, who noted that now Jason can
never be tried for Alcazar's death again. In the hall, Liz ran over and
hugged Jason, catching Sam's eye. The hug was also captured by the TV
cameras. Oopsie. As Diane gave a statement to the media, Sam's eyes shot
daggers. As Liz left, Sam pulled her aside and whispered, "Don't think for a
second this is over." Sam walked into the courtroom where Ric chewed her out
for not burying Jason on the stand. She stated that she only told the truth.
He called her pathetic because Jason treated her like garbage. Sam said
she'd seek her own kind of justice where Jason was concerned.
At Metro Court, Jerry admitted to Carly that he's lost track of Jax. She
insisted on coming with him to retrieve her husband. He initially resisted,
but gave in to Carly's demand to accompany him. Carly was suspicious of
Jerry's change of heart.
As Sonny was giving Coop instructions to help free Jason if need be,
Spinelli burst in with the news of Jason's verdict, followed by Lulu. Then,
Lulu asked Coop what he was doing in Sonny's office. Sonny covered by
chewing out Coop for harassing him and ordered him on his way. Then,
Spinelli broke the news about Jason. Spinelli was in heaven when he and Lulu
hugged. Afterward, Jason arrived and Sonny assured his enforcer that if he'd
been found guilty, he would have had Jason busted out of jail. Then, Carly
entered and gave Jason a big hug. When Jason thanked her for the evidence
she had presented, Carly admitted that Jerry was the one to thank.
In captivity, Jax got his hand loose and choked Irina. However, his escape
plan went south when a guard shot him in the shoulder. Once he regained
consciousness, Irina continued her torturous ways.
Robin and Patrick returned to the hospital and informed Epiphany it was a
false alarm — Robin's not pregnant. The both admitted to be relieved,
but
when a couple came in with a baby, it was clear Robin was conflicted.
At Kelly's, Lulu warned Coop to stay away from Sonny, for his own safety.
She said that even though she despises Maxie, Coop's a good man. Lulu
admitted that she and Logan are growing close. Outside, Lucky was angry that
Jason got off, while Nikolas told him to cool off.
Back at Metro Court, Carly had Max tail Jerry, who went to the airport and
flew to Turkey. Delighted, Carly kissed Max and vowed that's where she was
heading to, as well. Max tried to stop her, but she charmed him into seeing
her point of view.
Liz returned to the hospital, where she and Emily celebrated Jason's
freedom, then they went to meet their men for dinner at Kelly's. There,
Lucky was horrified to see the TV footage of Liz hugging Jason.
Sam bumped into Jason at the penthouse to get her last box of stuff. She
congratulated Jason on beating the murder charge, but said it was too bad
that he had to give up his son to do it. She told Jason that maybe she'd
sleep with Lucky since they have so much in common. She added that Liz and
Jason deserve each other but Liz is too afraid to be with him and Jason will
end up alone.
Sonny went to court and saw Ric and advised his brother to steer clear of
Jason and the people he cares about. "I'm tired of making allowances for my
brother," Sonny warned. "Shove it," Ric replied, vowing that he'd put his
brother behind bars or, "Better yet, see you dead."
Friday
Diane and Sonny enjoyed some pasta and red wine at the coffee shop while he thanked her for winning Jason's case and and asked her if she could get the charges dropped against Kate. She'd have to appear remorseful for one, explained Diane, just as Kate showed up and informed them that her hearing must be postponed because she needs to go to Paris for work. Diane pointed out that Kate would be jumping bail by jetting to Paris, so Kate tried to tempt her into coming to Paris with the promise of meeting famous designers. Nevertheless, the "fashion conscious" lawyer insisted she could not let Kate flee to Paris as important as her EFC meeting is. Kate declared that she was going to go no matter what, so Sonny jumped out of his chair and threatened to give Kate a lesson in respect.
Carly told the Turkish customs agent that she was tracking down her worthless, cheating husband and flashed a photo of Jerry. When he wouldn't let her pass, she tried to bribe him into telling her whether Jerry had been through security. The guard wasn't having it, so Carly got him to share his own romantic woes. He agreed to help her, and made a call to find out if Jerry Jacks had been through customs. There was no Jerry Jacks, but there was a James Brosnan that had passed through. He handed her the hotel address and let her go. Meanwhile, Jerry explained to an associate that he was sure he watched Irina die, but the man presented him with surveillance photos that showed Jax and Irina on the boat. "Joke's on me," Jerry laughed, almost diabolically. Back in Port Charles, Max and Milo debated telling Sonny that Carly left town on a potentially dangerous mission.
Irina tortured Jax by eating breakfast in front of him and keeping him tied to a chair. She explained that she planned to get revenge on Jerry by making him watch his brother die. Jax tried to get to her human side by reminding her that Jerry was truly in love with her and was genuinely distraught after her death, but she remained fixated on the plan.
Jason opened his closet, which was suffering from a surprising shortage of leather jackets, and pulled out his secret box of Jake photos. Jason gazed at a pic of Liz and Jake just before Lucky arrived to tell Jason to stay away from his family. Meanwhile, Sam ran into Elizabeth and "the Spencer brigade" in the park. Liz told her not to go near her kids, while Lucky warned Jason to stay away from Jake and accused him of seducing a married woman. Lulu interrupted and said she was looking for Spinelli. "You tell Spinelli to stay away from my kids, too," Lucky spat before taking off. After Lulu rehashed learning about Jason's baby secret and vowing to keep it, Spinelli came in and Jason informed both of them that whatever happens, he's going to do the best he can for Jake.
Back at the Spencer house, Sam apologized for not telling Lucky about Jason and Liz even though she knew for a long time. She admitted to wanting to protect her own relationship at the time. They bonded over their screwed-up love lives.
Epiphany wandered over to the nurses' station and said Liz's romantic woes made her glad she wasn't with anybody. Epiphany didn't see what the big deal was about Elizabeth hugging Jason on TV, then told them to get back to work, which Liz took to mean, "Let's go sit on those couches and keep chatting." Elizabeth admitted to Emily that things weren't looking so good for her and Lucky, so Emily asked if she would consider moving on with Jason. After a lengthy explanation of where things stood with Lucky, she answered that it might be time to explore something with Jason.
Irina informed Jax that she changed her mind and thinks it would be better if Jerry arrived and found Jax already dead. Carly barged into a hotel room and was greeted by a gun-wielding Jerry. Back in P.C., Sam said Liz was a fool for throwing her life with Lucky away, and Lucky commented that she deserved better than Jason. They nearly kissed, causing Sam to bolt. Outside, she tried to regain her composure. Spinelli asked Jason if he'd consider raising Elizabeth's children with her and Jason replied that if she was into it and IF she could handle the danger, he guesses he would be, too. Meanwhile, the Spencer brigade was greeted in the park by two gunmen claiming to know Elizabeth's kids were linked to Jason Morgan.
