GH Week of August 24, 2009
Monday
Sonny told Claudia that he had set up a scholarship in honor of their son's memory. She was suspicious but he said that he wanted to make a go of their marriage. They established that they would show each other more respect from now on. She added that she wanted to try to have another baby. He said he wasn't sure if he was prepared to give his assent. Claudia said that she would raise their baby to be proud of who he is and what he does.
At Kelly's, Olivia behaved oddly and beat a hasty retreat with Jax after coming upon Carly, Morgan and Dominic at a table. Jax called Olivia out about Dominic being Dante; she didn't deny it and revealed that Dante is working undercover to bring down Sonny.... Carly and Dominic discussed Morgan; he volunteered to stay away from the boy but Carly could tell that Dominic genuinely cares for Morgan and wondered why he would work for
Sonny. She made it clear that she was trying to open his eyes to the bad decision he had (seemingly) made... Jax felt for Olivia, agreeing that she was in an impossible situation. She accused him of thinking that her son is Jax's best shot of getting Sonny out of his life. Jax tried to assure her that Dante is up to the challenge at hand. Back at Kelly's, Carly balked when Morgan proposed that Dominic drive him over to Sonny's, but when Jax returned, he said he thought that was a good idea. After Dante left with Morgan, Carly asked Jax why he had changed his tune about allowing him near Morgan; Jax tried to cover.... Dante and Morgan arrived at Sonny's. Dante and Sonny learned that they had both played shortstop.
Elizabeth and Nikolas fell into a steamy kiss. She pulled away and he apologized but said that he didn't know how to stop wanting her. Liz was flustered and admitted that she had wanted him to kiss her. Lucky returned home with the boys. After the group ate, Nikolas left and Liz and Lucky discussed how Nikolas was doing. Lucky pulled Liz into a kiss.
Nikolas went to see Rebecca and told her that he had overreacted to what she had done and while he was still angry, he had some questions for her. He told her that what they had between them wasn't done for him and he hoped it wasn't over for her. She looked pensive.
Jason and Sam discussed the end of their relationship and the good and bad times they'd had. When the tone became a bit intense, Sam said that she was going to get the car started and bolted outside. Sam returned and Jason was out of bed. She said she wouldn't lecture him. He began to fall and she steadied him; they sat on the edge of the bed very close together and she was flustered. She left again to continue her auto work. Sam returned again and the physical proximity between Jason and Sam continued to affect them both. Finally, he began tenderly to wash her off and they began to kiss passionately.
Tuesday
At the Q mansion, Rebecca apologized to Nikolas for deceiving him, stating that her feelings for him are genuine. She was skeptical that Nik could forgive her so quickly but he assured her that he had. Edward arrived and booted Nik off his property. Before leaving, Nikolas asked Rebecca to meet him that night at Wyndemere.
Claudia broke up a meeting of Sonny, Dominic and Morgan, who were talking sports. Claudia told Morgan that she was sorry she wasn’t able to give him a little brother. Morgan then mentioned about going to the Yankees game with Dominic. Sonny suggested that they all go to check out the new stadium. After Morgan and Dom left, Sonny told Claudia that he was surprised she likes baseball. Claudia replied that she liked being a stepmom to his sons. Sonny then opened up about his past with Carly and his kids. Claudia marveled that she and her husband could actually have a civilized conversation. Sonny apologized for his bad treatment of Claudia and promised things would be better.
Sam and Jason proceeded to make love again. Afterward, Sam made an awkward exit, then questioned where do they go from here.
Dominic and Morgan walked in on Carly and Jax kissing. Carly was not thrilled that Morgan spoke so highly of Claudia.
In Mexico, Kristina was upset that Kiefer was hooking up with another girl in her absence. Kristina called Kiefer, who was sunbathing at the country club. He paid a female worker to answer his phone, say, “Kiefer’s busy” and hang up. Kristina was visibly upset after the call. Michael couldn't understand why Kristina was so hung up on Kiefer. Later, a teary Kristina told Michael that she missed her beau and needed to go home.
Ethan visited Rebecca at the Qs and she thanked him for exposing her. Ethan claimed that he never wanted to hurt Rebecca. She spat back that Nikolas forgave her. “Don’t come back!” Rebecca told Ethan.
On the docks, Elizabeth saw Nikolas. He thanked her for inviting him to the picnic. Liz apologized for coming down hard on him regarding Rebecca. They both managed to not discuss their latest kiss.
Back at Casa de Corinthos, Sonny assured Claudia that he and Olivia haven’t slept together and he stated that he was no longer pursuing her. Dominic eavesdropped outside.
Rebecca showed up at Wyndemere, where Nikolas was waiting for her in the bedroom. Nik congratulated her on a job well done. Rebecca stated that she’s glad the truth came out. Nik then pulled her into a kiss.... As Elizabeth soaked in the tub, she couldn’t get Nikolas out of her head.
Dominic showed up at Olivia’s, where he gleefully informed his mother that Sonny was going to patch things up with Claudia. “He’s never going to see you again,” Dom smiled. Olivia said she didn’t care and told Dominic that she was still going to stick Port Charles around to keep an eye on him. After Dominic left, Olivia sighed.
Wednesday
Tracy met with Ethan at The Haunted Star to discuss the revelation that he and Rebecca were in cahoots to rip off the Quartermaines. Ethan admitted that he had no idea he'd find his real family along the way. They then discussed Luke's absence. Lulu walked up and wanted to know what they were discussing. Ethan came clean to his half-sister about his partnership with Rebecca. Lulu was upset to discover that she was the last to know — and that everyone was right about Ethan from the beginning. Dominic showed up and Ethan challenged him to a game of cards. As Ethan was collecting his chips, Dom was determined to win back his money. At that point, Lulu pulled two aces out of Ethan's sleeve. She walked out of the casino and Dominic followed her. As Dom launched into flirtatious conversation, Lulu kissed him just to get him to shut up.
At Wyndemere, Rebecca asked Nikolas how he could forgive her so easily for her duplicity. Nik pulled her into a kiss. Later, after having sex, Rebecca said that she was relieved that their relationship was not over. Nikolas assured her everything was fine, but he couldn't look Rebecca in the eye when he said it. Alfred prepared a special dinner for the couple. Nikolas proposed a toast: "To love," he smiled. Later, as Rebecca slept, Nikolas told Alfred that, "Rebecca spit on Emily's grave, and she will pay for that."
Things got tense between Spinelli and Maxie at the penthouse as they discussed their upcoming wedding. The lovebirds could not decide on their future living arrangements, either. Maxie said that if she had to live with Jason after they were married, then the wedding was off. Spinelli told Maxie that he'd live wherever she wanted. Then, he brought up their sex life. Spinelli suggested that they not have sex again until they were married. "Are you kidding?" Maxie shouted.
Jason and Sam headed out to find Michael and Kristina. The pair had trouble finding a good radio station during their drive. They listened in on a talk radio show offering romantic advice, which they quickly turned off. Later, as Jason nodded off, Sam pulled over to get some sleep but couldn't close her eyes without looking at Jason. Before they knew it, the pair was snuggling up together in their sleep.
In Mexico, after telling Michael that she wanted to go home, a tearful Kristina confessed that she was the one who caused Claudia's car accident. Kristina apologized to Michael for letting him think he was culpable for the crash. Michael told Krissy that he knows she wasn't being malicious and said that maybe it was time for her to head home.
Knowing that Olivia has been out of sorts lately, Johnny showed up at her doorstep with flowers. Olivia assured Johnny that she was merely concerned with her son. Olivia said that she couldn't get over dating a guy who was her son's age. Johnny said he wasn't buying that excuse and pulled her into a passionate kiss. "Tell me to go and I'll go," Johnny whispered, but Olivia couldn't find the words. They then fell into bed together.
Thursday
Diane was incensed that Alexis seemingly went behind her back to cut a deal regarding Claudia's accident. Alexis assured her friend that she didn't. Then, Nikolas walked in and said he did the legal wrangling. "I'm a Cassadine," he pointed out. "Why wouldn't I?" Nikolas also assured his aunt that he'd take care of the charges against her regarding Brianna's murder, as well. The trio discussed the case. Alexis noted that Nik sounded just like Stefan. Alexis then said that she had no regrets about protecting Kristina and typed up her letter of resignation. Andrea showed up and gloated that Alexis would be going to prison but Alexis pointed out that Andrea seemed a little nervous.
At the penthouse, Maxie didn't like Spinelli's idea of not having sex again until after they were married. She came onto him but he remained steadfast, a little weak in the knees, but steadfast nonetheless. Mac showed up to talk to Spinelli and wasn't pleased to see that Maxie had spent the night. "Of course I did," she said, raising her hand. "I'm engaged."
At Jax's office, Olivia wasn't comfortable with her boss talking about Dante, in case someone might hear them. Jax agreed and apologized.
In Mexico, an obnoxious couple came into the store to rent wave runners. The creep, Chad, even hit on Kristina. Michael kept his cool and had the guy leave his valuables in a lock box and take the key with him. Kristina wondered why Michael was being so nice. Michael had a copy of the key, opened up the box and pulled out the jerk's watch. He then said, "How could I be mean to the guy who's going to by your ticket home?" he grinned. Later, Michael pawned the watch and bought Kristina a plane ticket home. She was still upset that he was taking the rap for the accident. Just then, Chad came in and said the wave runner he used was damaged and he demanded a refund and his possessions back. When Michael couldn't produce the watch, Chad punched him.
Sonny wanted to know why Johnny was giving his sister such a hard time but Johnny declined to answer. He then went to the garage, where Olivia was waiting for him. He vented about Claudia and wondered if he should just expose her to Sonny already. Olivia offered him some sage advice, then gave Johnny back his phone, which he'd left at her place. They kissed and he thanked her for listening. She smiled, then went back to work.
Carly told Sonny that the family joined the country club. Sonny asked Morgan if it'd be okay for dear old dad to tag along with them when they went. Morgan was enthused about the idea. At the club, Kiefer approached Sonny and Carly and asked if they'd heard from Michael or Kristina. Sonny told Kiefer to mind his own business and stay away from his kids. Molly came over and diffused the situation, but Carly warned Kiefer not to make Sonny angry.
At the hospital, Robin asked Patrick to help her find proof incriminating Andrea in Brianna's murder. They went to see Jax and Olivia and discussed their theory. The foursome determined that they needed to find the murder weapon. Jax had the staff pull the records of everyone who stayed at the hotel that day. Then, Olivia checked inventory records and discovered that a figurine was missing from Brianna's room. Patrick said the figurine could have been the murder weapon.
Claudia went to the garage to finish her fight with Johnny, who was still furious that she sent Jerry after Michael and Kristina. As they argued, Sonny entered and told Johnny it was time they had a talk.
Jax met with Spinelli and said he knows that The Jackal uncovered Michael and Kristina's location and demanded to know where they were. Jax assured Spinelli that all he wanted to do was to get them home safely. "Cancun," Spinelli spilled.
Dominic went to Sonny's and, seeing no one was there, stole some papers out of Sonny's desk. Just then, Max came in carrying Diane. He spotted Dom, dropped Diane on the couch and pulled out his gun. "What are you doing here?" Max demanded to know. Dom managed to talk his way out of the situation and left. Dominic then took the papers to Ronnie. There, Ronnie warned Dominic not to get to close to the people he's set to bring down.
Friday
In Mexico, Michael was mid-confrontation with the surfer who thought Michael
had stolen from him when Jason and Sam arrived. Jason pulled a gun on the
teen. Michael paid the teens off and they agreed to keep mum. After the
youths bolted, Michael asked Jason how much trouble he was in. Sam tended to
Jason and they told the teens about Jason getting shot and their respective
travails with Jerry. Kristina and Michael discussed whether Alexis was the
reason that Jerry isn't in jail. Kristina opened up to Sam about how much
she misses Kiefer. Sam asked Kristina why she had left with Michael in the
first place. Sam shocked Kristina with the news that Alexis had confessed to
causing Claudia's accident. Jason was examined by a doctor, then followed
Michael back to the surf shop. Michael told Jason that he was staying in
Cancun.
Robin told Alexis that she intends to prove that Andrea is guilty of the
murder, but unbeknownst to her, Andrea was listening in. Patrick caught her
eavesdropping and escorted her into the office. Andrea accused Robin of
making baseless accusations, then stalked off. While Patrick urged Robin to
be more careful, Alexis got the news about Michael and Kristina.... Andrea
researched poisons....
Jax told Carly that he's going out of town. She was greatly relieved when he
noted that he had located Michael and Kristina. Jason called Caly to say
that he had found the runaways. Jax relayed the news to Morgan. Morgan
blocked Kiefer's efforts to get Molly to tell him what was going on. The
Jackses went home and Morgan ordered Molly to stay away from Kiefer. Keifer
came by the house and apologized to Carly for his behavior at the country
club. Morgan called him out on his insincerity. Later, Kiefer left a message
for Kristina, claiming that he couldn't wait for her to come back and for
them to pick up where they'd left off.
Maxie and Lulu reeled when they learned that Couture's editor had been
arrested. They worried that Giselle would turn on Kate and that they would
lose their jobs. Kate showed up and the ladies were surprised to hear that
Kate had helped to engineer Giselle's downfall. Kate made it clear that she
knew that they had suspected her of sabotage but she was pleased that they
had remained loyal and discreet.
Sonny blasted Johnny for speaking harshly to Claudia. The confrontation
ended when Sonny heard about Jason locating his kids and he left. Johnny and
Claudia then resumed their own verbal scuffle. Johnny told Claudia that she
would be wise to get away from Sonny that night, or she might not have
another chance to avoid Sonny killing her. Claudia responded by insisting to
Johnny that Olivia is using him to make Sonny jealous.
Sonny interrupted a moment of passion between Diane and Max. Alexis joined
the group. Max and Diane left while Sonny and Alexis discussed the situation
with the kids. Sonny pointed out that Kristina could confess to the crime
even though Alexis had taken the fall. Claudia stood outside the room and
learned that Kristina was driving the car that ran her off the road.
