General Hospital Recaps
GH Week of December 13, 2010
Monday
Lisa took the stolen antibiotics to treat Johnny at his penthouse. Lisa was furious that Johnny's blackmail was endangering her career. Johnny was amused by the story Lisa gave Steven after she was caught red-handed: that the meds were for her housekeeper's cousin, who was undocumented. Lisa lamented that now she had to provide an illegal immigrant, and told Johnny to help her come up with a Plan B. Lisa then ranted about Robin and vowed not to give up on Patrick.
Carly entered Kelly's and met Abby. Carly interrogated the girl and Michael pulled his mother aside and said she was embarrassing him in front of his friend. Carly said fine, then dragged Michael out with the excuse that he had to help Morgan with his homework. Afterward, Sam arrived and Abby told her that Michael asked her out ‹ and she couldn't wait for their date. Michael returned and found Sam, who relayed that Abby had to run some errands. Michael then mentioned Carly's interrogation, and then sang Abby's praises. He was clearly smitten. On the docks, Carly met with Abby and told the girl to stop seeing her son.
Brenda was touched by Sonny's gift of a new home. They shared a tender kiss, then made love. Afterward, Brenda asked Sonny, "This is happening right?" "It's real," he smiled back. Sonny started talking about plans for the future, but Brenda asked him to just enjoy their present for now.
At The Haunted Star, Luke lamented to his sons that he had to pay for his wedding to Tracy and asked the boys to help him fleece some of the casino patrons for some extra cash. Siobhan was shocked by Luke's suggestion. Tracy arrived and told her fianc to stop complaining and "Suck it up!" Nikolas and Brook Lynn entered. Brook overheard Tracy talking about the wedding and
pointed out she hadn't received an invitation. Tracy told her granddaughter that of course she was invited. Brook said she wanted to bring Nikolas as her date. Luke reluctantly agreed. Lucky pulled his father aside and advised him not to run out on Tracy before the nups. Meanwhile, Tracy confided in Brook that she thought Luke was going to flee.
At G.H., Sam shared the exploits of her latest case involving a cheating husband. After she left, Patrick apologized to Robin again for his indiscretion with Lisa. Maxie overheard the exchange and counseled Robin to ease up on Patrick. Meanwhile, Patrick asked Matt to ask Maxie not to push Robin too hard. Maxie asked Robin and Patrick to join them for dinner; Robin passed. Lisa returned to work and Robin told her that she needed to come clean about stealing the meds. Just as Steven chastised her, a Latina woman
entered and thanked Lisa for getting her the medication she needed. Back at the penthouse, we learned that Johnny paid the Latina woman to get Lisa out of hot water at the hospital.
Dante and Jason discussed Dante's past with Brenda. Jason counseled Dante to remain quiet about his feelings for Brenda, as no good would come from spilling now. Steven dropped by and gave Dante and Jason the details of when and where Aleksander's body was arriving in Port Charles. Jason then warned Dante about dealing with Jerry Jacks and that he's lethal. Later, at the site, Dante worried that Jason was gunning for Jerry. Just then, a shadowy figure appeared. As Aleksander's body was wheeled out, Jerry emerged and signed for it. Dante wondered aloud if Jerry was The Balkan.
Tuesday
At the hospital, Robin and Patrick were skeptical when Lisa was able to produce an undocumented worker to give her an alibi for stealing the meds for Johnny. Steven allowed Lisa to treat her “patient” without any threat of deportation. Lisa and her “patient” were most grateful. However, Robin still wasn't buying it. Steven told Lisa that what she did was wrong, but he wasn’t going to fire her. Lisa thanked Robin for her hand in getting her “patient” the help she needed. Afterward, Patrick pointed out that Lisa’s story appeared convincing, which irritated Robin all the more.
On the hospital loading dock, Jerry signed for Aleksander’s remains, then held a gun on the morgue attendant and shouted for Jason to come out of hiding. Dante stayed hidden, but Jason emerged. “How lovely to see you again,” smiled Jerry. Jason interrogated Jerry about his interest in Brenda. Jerry then shot the attendant, hopped in the van and sped off. Jason called
Lucky and suggested a point where he could catch Jerry. Back in the van, Jerry talked on his Bluetooth about getting Aleksander home. Could Jerry Jacks be The Balkan?
At the penthouse, Ethan got Johnny to confess how he got shot. Johnny
admitted to stalking Sam and that Jason shot him. Johnny was thrilled that
he now has Lisa under his thumb because of the shooting. Johnny then shared
the story of Lisa and the syringe with Ethan. Later, Lisa returned to check
on Johnny. She was horrified to learn that Johnny spilled her secret to
Ethan. Ethan pointed out that since they both know her secret, she can’t do
anything to Johnny. After he left, Johnny told Lisa that she should spend
the night; Lisa refused.
At The Haunted Star, Brook was surprised that Tracy was convinced her
wedding was going to be a fiasco. Luke walked over and assured his
wife-to-be that he planned on delivering. Tracy flat out asked Luke if he
was having second thoughts about the wedding. He suggested eloping but Tracy
wouldn’t hear of it. Ethan arrived and when Luke confessed that he honestly
loved Tracy, an eavesdropping Tracy smiled.
At Kelly’s, Michael asked Sam for advice on where he should take Abby for
their date. Sam was concerned about Michael making his life more
complicated. On the docks, Carly ordered Abby to stay away from her son. She
told Abby that she was too old for Michael and their friendship was
inappropriate. Abby refused to stop seeing him. Carly said that if Abby
really cared about Michael, she wouldn’t see him anymore. Carly went to
Kelly’s and quizzed Sam about Abby. She asked Sam to talk to Abby and have
her back off from Michael. Meanwhile, Michael met with Abby and said he made
dinner reservations for them. Abby replied that she can’t go out with
Michael, after all.
Back at G.H., Patrick operated on the morgue attendant and afterward told
Robin that Jerry was back. They recalled when Jerry shot Robin at the Metro
Court, and they believed that Robin was going to die. Robin took Patrick’s
arm, and their eyes met.
Lucky set up a road block, as Jason and Dante chased after Jerry in the van.
Jerry spotted them following him and drove off the road.
Wednesday
At G.H., Patrick and Steven told Theo that there was no indication he was suffering from a brain tumor or anything else. Theo refused to believe the
staff but Robin insisted that he was fine. Steven asked Theo to stop
badgering his staff.
Sonny ran into Luke on the docks. Luke admitted that he was thinking of
taking a trip ‹ the day of his wedding. The men talked about their exes and
the new women in their lives. Luke stated that if he didn't go through with
the wedding, Tracy would shut him out forever. Luke vowed to go through with
it, and told Sonny to bring a date to the nups. After Luke left, Claire
walked by. She tried to duck Sonny but he saw her. Claire broke the news
that she’s been transferred to a different office ‹ in Alaska. Claire told
Sonny that she’s considering her options. Sonny replied if she needed
anything, she could call him.
Jason informed Carly of Jerry’s possible demise and suggested that he might
be The Balkan.
Brenda woke up to find Dante, not Sonny, at the penthouse. They went to
Metro Court and bumped into Jax. There, they had to break the news about
Jerry’s possible demise. Jax told Dante that he’d cover the medical expenses
of the morgue attendant Jerry shot. Brenda then agreed to go back to the
penthouse.
At Kelly’s, Michael vented to Kristina that he was frustrated that Abby
canceled their date. Kristina tried to talk to Michael about her friend
Allie from school, but Michael didn’t want to hear about her. Michael
stormed out and went to see Jason, convinced that he scared Abby off. Jason
advised Michael to give Abby space. Michael returned to Kelly’s and
apologized to Kristina. There, one of Kiefer’s friends called Michael an
ex-con, and asked him if his boyfriend was still in prison. Abby entered,
saw the argument and went over to Michael and kissed him on the cheek. “Hey,
babe,” Abby smiled. “Sorry I’m late.”
Carly arrived home to find Jerry with Josslyn. Carly demanded Jerry hand
over the baby. Jerry complied, and Carly congratulated Jerry on escaping his
latest near-death scrape. She asked him to do Jax a favor and disappear for
good. Jerry replied that he came to get Brenda out of their lives for good.
Carly asked Jerry why he hated Brenda so much. Jerry replied that any man
who loved Brenda was left weaker for it, and he was going to change that.
Back at G.H., Lisa caught Robin checking up on Inez, the patient that Lisa
produced in need of meds. Robin called Lisa out on her innocent act. Theo
came down the stairs, dressed in a suit, and handed Steven legal papers.
Theo announced that he was suing the hospital for malpractice.
Dante was angry to hear from Jason that Sonny bought a home for he and
Brenda.... At the new place, Sonny bought a beautiful Christmas tree and
asked Brenda to spend the holidays there together.... When no body was found
at the accident site, Jason and Dante were convinced that Jerry was
alive.... Jax returned home to find Jerry with Carly.
Thursday
Siobhan got a text setting up a secret meeting. Just then, Lucky entered and Siobhan asked for a tour of Port Charles. Lucky replied that he had to work, since Jerry Jacks was still alive. Siobhan put up a stink to try and get Lucky off The Balkan case, but he wouldn't be swayed.
As Jason and Dante discussed their next move at the penthouse, a man came to see Brenda. When they asked who he was, the man served Dante with a subpoena to appear in court. Jason had Diane look over the suit. The suit was for wrongful death on behalf of Anton Banovic, the thug Brenda killed in the alley to save Dante's life. Dante confided in Diane about how Brenda killed Aleksander, and how this shooting echoed that tragedy and nearly sent Brenda over the edge.
At their new place, Brenda and Sonny decorated the Christmas tree, as a man lurked outside their door. They reminisced and were about to kiss when Jason burst in with the news that Jerry was alive and he ordered Brenda back to the penthouse. "Forget it!" huffed Sonny. After Jason made his case, Sonny agreed Brenda should return to his protective custody. "Do you think the universe is trying to tell me something?" she wondered. Back at the penthouse, Jason broke the news of the wrongful death suit, which caused Brenda to panic.
At his home, Jax was stunned to walk in and find Jerry there. Jax was furious that Jerry was going after Brenda. Jerry stated that Brenda needed to be stopped. Jax refused to let Jerry leave, so Jerry pulled a gun on Carly. Jax barked for Jerry to get out — and to never come back. Jerry said his good-byes and left. Carly and Jax embraced. Jax regretted not stopping Jerry years ago.
At G.H., Theo refused to back down on his malpractice suit against the hospital. Robin tried to talk Theo out of it, to no avail. Theo simply smiled and strolled out.
At Kelly's, Michael thanked Abby for stepping in and diffusing his argument with Kiefer's buddy, Bryce. Michael then told Abby he understood why she changed her mind about their date. Abby stated it wasn't Michael's temper; she thought she was taking advantage of him. Michael insisted that was not the case and asked her out again. Abby caved, and Michael was elated.
Nikolas went to see Alexis at her office. Brook Lynn followed shortly after. Nik asked Alexis to draw up legally binding employment paperwork. "To be your mistress?" Alexis asked. Nikolas politely asked Alexis to mind her own business. Brook assured Alexis that despite appearances, there was no sex going on. Later, Diane returned to the office and briefed Alexis on the Brenda/Dante wrongful death suit. Just then, Theo entered.
Dante arrived at Lucky's apartment with files regarding Jerry and mentioned Jason went to retrieve Brenda. Siobhan eavesdropped on the conversation. After she left the men alone, Dante questioned Lucky about Siobhan's involvement in the case. Lucky countered by asking why Dante was so protective of Brenda.
Siobhan met with Jerry, who stated that Lucky had become a nuisance.... Carly stormed over to Jason's to confront Brenda.... Sonny went to see Jax and demanded to know where Jerry was.
Friday
Sonny went to Carly's and ripped into Jax about Jerry. Jax told Sonny he is Jerry's brother and will take care of him. Sonny couldn’t believe after everything Jerry had done, Jax would allow him to get away again. Jax suggested Sonny concentrate on protecting Brenda and refused to hand over Jerry to him. Sonny warned Jax that if Jerry hurts anyone else, including Brenda, it would be on Jax.
On the docks, Shioban and Jerry discussed Lucky and Jerry ordered her to arrange a "tragic accident" to get rid of him. Siobhan explained that "killing Lucky Spencer would be a fool’s mistake" because Lucky is connected to very powerful people. She thought Jason was the one to kill because Jason wants Jerry dead. Jerry balked that the feeling was mutual and told Siobhan he believed she fell in love with her mark. Later, Siobhan brought groceries home to Lucky and prodded for more information. Suddenly, her phone rang and Jerry summoned her.
Dante and Lucky discussed The Balkan and Lucky wondered if there was something Brenda wasn’t telling them. Lucky then admitted he wasn't objective when it came to Brenda. Dante explained to Lucky about the lawsuit and asked him to back off for now.
At Jason’s apartment, Carly implored Brenda to tell her why Jerry wants her dead. Brenda admitted that she killed The Balkan's son and Dante knew about it. Carly became outraged. She told Jason she never promised to protect Brenda and walked out. Brenda begged Jason not to let Carly hurt Dante. Carly returned home to find Jax with a gun and asked if he had called the cops. Jax said no, then implied that he would be the one to take out Jerry. Carly begged him to put the gun away, to be the man she fell in love with. Later, Jax showed up to talk to Brenda. He promised his ex that he would stop Jerry. He admitted he realized the brother he once loved is not coming back.... Carly went to Sonny’s office to talk to Jason. Sonny walked in to find them in a heated argument and asked why he wasn't watching Brenda. Jason reported that Brenda was with Jax.
Theo showed up at Alexis and Diane's office, explaining that the New York partners sent him to assist in handling their caseload. Diane acknowledged that they are in desperate need of assistance. Theo asked about Brenda. Diane explained the "ins and outs" of Brenda and The Balkan. Theo wondered why The Balkan is after Brenda. Alexis interrupted the conversation and explained that she would officially be taking over the Brenda/Dante case. Diane quickly pointed out that Alexis can't go anywhere near the Sonny/Brenda case, citing Luis Alcazar's murder.
Nikolas and Brook Lynn enjoyed dinner at the Metro Court. Steven and Elizabeth showed up and Liz spied Nik and Brook Lynn across the room. Nikolas's phone rang, so he stepped away from the table. Liz took the opportunity to tell Brook Lynn to get out of Nikolas's life. Brook Lynn stood her ground and the two exchanged words. When Nikolas returned, Elizabeth changed her demeanor and thanked Nikolas for all of his generosity. Nik and Brook Lynn left the Metro Court and Steven discussed the situation with Elizabeth.
Dante went home to Lulu and told her he had to guard Brenda. A worried Lulu asked him not the be "the hero" and to let Jason handle it. He promised her he would come home safe. Lulu then visited Lucky and brought a gift for Siobhan. Lulu took the opportunity to feel out Lucky's relationship with Siobhan. Lucky did the same with Lulu, giving her relationship with Dante his approval. Later, back at the Metro Court, Lulu asked Maxie if she thought Dante had more than platonic feelings for Brenda. Maxie explained she can't be objective because of the Spinelli factor. Dante showed up and overheard Lulu discussing her concerns with Maxie.
Siobhan's sister called Lucky and told him the last time she spoke with her sister was a month ago. Luke visited Lucky at the apartment and Lucky told him that Siobhan had been lying to him for weeks. Siobhan and Jerry met again at the docks. Jerry's phone rang. It was The Balkan. Siobhan was shocked to learn that Jerry was not the Balkan. On the other end of the phone, Theo (!) told Jerry that he needed to better understand who he is and what he wants.
