Monday
Jason told Spinelli that he had been honest with the cops about what went down at Jake's rescue. Jason wanted info on the Russians; Spinelli recommended that Jason seek help from Sonny. Jason refused and mused that Sonny might be preparing to make a move against him. Thomas came to see Jason; Spinelli fled. "What I have to say could save your life," the Fed announced. He offered Jason immunity in exchange for information that could help send Sonny and Anthony to jail. He stressed that this was a chance for
Jason to make a fresh start and that Jason should take the deal while it was on the table.
Maxie refused to back down when Lulu and Johnny turned out to be moving furniture, not having loud sex. Maxie and Lulu began bickering. Maxie tried to set up some house rules, including asking Johnny to kick in for rent. When Lulu and Johnny came back to the apartment after an excursion and seemed to hear Maxie in the throes of passion, Lulu flipped, suspecting that Maxie had bedded Spinelli just to make a point to them about noise control. But Spinelli entered with flowers, and when he heard the telltale noises coming from Maxie's room, his face fell.
Sam eavesdropped as Sasha told her cronies that Jason Morgan had to die. Alexis strolled up and announced that she would be serving her with a subpoena regarding the carnage at the roadhouse. They commenced an informal interview, with Sasha of course stonewalling Alexis at every turn. Sasha taunted Alexis about Jerry and accused Sam of killing Jerry. Sam was impressed by Alexis's tough response to Sasha. Alexis advised Sasha to leave town with her shady associates or suffer the consequences. After Alexis walked off, Sasha told her people to move up the shipment. Sam heard and called Jason, but he didn't hear the phone ring. Just then, Sam was nabbed by Sasha's henchmen.
Claudia pulled back from her kiss with Sonny to ask why he was smooching her. He shot down her various theories and urged her not to read into the kiss. Claudia wondered if Sonny was preparing to make a move against Jason. Sonny's denials didn't convince her. Sonny filled Claudia in about what prompted his estrangement from Jason, expressing his fury over Jason's support of Carly where relinquishing custody of his kids was concerned. Anthony stopped by unannounced and told Claudia to leave so that he could talk to Sonny privately. "All hell is breaking loose out there," Anthony said, demanding to know what Sonny planned to do. Sonny insisted that Claudia stay, then described his plans to slowly take over Jason's routes while Jason is distracted. Claudia noted to Anthony that things seemed to be working out well for him. After Anthony left, Claudia asked Sonny to be straight with her, remarking that things seemed too good to be true. Sonny denied that anything was afoot, then snapped at Milo when he interrupted to deliver Claudia's mail. Sonny asked Claudia what they could do to make the marriage work for both of them.
Lucky came by Sam's with dessert. When she didn't answered, he let himself in. "So much for dinner," he said to himself when he found the place empty. Lucky went to see Luke, who gave him a brief recap of why he was pretending to be soused. Lucky told his dad that Sam stood him up. Luke noted that just because two people love each other, it doesn't mean that their lives will
fit together. "Sam likes living on the edge and you don't," he pointed out. Luke advised Lucky to have an honest chat with Sam. Alexis showed up to pour out her troubles to Luke, who was happy to receive a visit from Natasha. She told Luke all about what had happened with Jerry, then, despite herself, expressed compassion for Tracy (on the grounds that it must crush Tracy to know that Luke still loves Laura).... Lucky left a curt message for Sam.
Tuesday
At their apartment, Spinelli's arrival throws Lulu and Johnny for a loop. They thought Maxie was in her bedroom having sex with him. At least, that's what it sounded like. Maxie emerged and admitted that it's no fun listening to other people have noisy sex and asked them to keep it down in the future. Lulu was furious Maxie would be so callous in upsetting Spinelli. Johnny politely told Lulu that she needed to mind her own business and pointed out that Maxie has ended up being a good friend to them. In her bedroom, Spinelli asked about the night of sex they shared a while back. Maxie says it was a mistake — but he was wonderful and made her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. Spinelli then helped Maxie move furniture and the pair fell back on the bed, laughing. Spinelli made it clear that he never felt used by Maxie. Later that night, Maxie and Johnny shared an awkward moment when they caught each other in various stages of undress in the middle of the night.
Jason informed Diane that he was promised blanket immunity be the feds if he testified against Sonny. They discussed the option and Diane was puzzled by Jason's loyalty to Sonny, even now.
After running into Sasha on the docks, Sam was grabbed by her Russian thugs and dragged away.
Jax met with Luke at The Haunted Star. They shared a drink and Jax informed him of his and Carly's divorce. Luke asked if he'd give the marriage another shot but Jax replied that life was too short. Olivia entered and was ready to gamble. Jax offered to join her. After the house won a hand, Sonny entered to talk business with Luke. Corinthos immediately alienated Jax and Olivia, who both left. Sonny told Luke about his marriage and since Johnny
bought into the casino, "It looks like you and I will be partners again," he noted. Sonny then informed him about Kate's shooting, Karpov's murder and the Russian retaliation.
Claudia pointed out Sonny's plan to go after Jason's territory while he was busy with the Russian mob. Sonny was impressed by Claudia's knowledge of the business. "You're not so hard to read," she stated. Sonny went out and Jason arrived. Jason congratulated her on her marriage. She thanked him for not going through with their proposed nups, then warned him that a confrontation with Sonny was inevitable. She made sure Jason knew that Sonny held off on taking any action until Jake was safe.
In the park, Jax quizzed Olivia if she got caught up in mob violence. She replied that she slipped in the shower. Jax was taken with her saucy nature.
Tracy arrived at The Haunted Star, where Luke pretended to be drunk and still heartbroken over her. When he clutched his chest and collapsed, Tracy laughed, accused him of faking a heart attack and left.
Sonny came home to find Jason, who thanked him for not endangering Jake.... Sam was dumped into a pit and left unconscious.
Wednesday
At Sonny's house, Claudia was feeling in the holiday spirit; Sonny wasn't. Claudia couldn't believe that Sonny didn't want to get a Christmas tree. Max stayed out of it. Sonny recounted that since he sees none of his kids anymore, he didn't want to bring the holidays into his home to remind him of what's missing in his life. Claudia tried to convince Sonny that Christmas would come anyway; he didn't have to try and forget Christmases past. Sonny wasn't
budging.
As they readied for Aunt Raylene's funeral, Nadine lost the eulogy and got frantic. Nikolas calmed her down by assuring her that she could wing it if she spoke from the heart. Later, the family returned from the funeral and Uncle Vance commented that Nadine did a great job. Raylene's attorney then popped in a DVD reading of the will. On the DVD, Raylene told the family that she loved them and there would be some things about herself that would come as a
shock. Raylene divided the farm between Nadine and Beau. She then left Vance two million dollars, Beau one million, three million to provide care for Jolene and an envelope for Nadine. Nikolas turned off the DVD and wanted to know what the heck was going on.
At G.H., Luke whistled for Epiphany and dragged her aside to enlist her help in admitting him to the hospital as a heart patient. Normally, Epiphany wouldn't participate in such a scheme, she pointed out, but with Tracy on the warpath at G.H., she agreed to go along. Epiphany reluctantly got Luke situated in a room, then advised him to just be honest with his wife.
At the apartment, Robin couldn't believe that Emma wasn't crying. She and Patrick rushed to make sure the baby was still breathing. Of course, she was fine and her parents were greatly relieved. Once they started to kiss, Emma woke up crying. Robin was happy that she was able to get Emma back to sleep.
Maxie and Johnny shared their awkward moment from the night before with Lulu. Maxie said if Johnny's going to live there, he should be kicking in for his share of the rent. Johnny agreed and left to look for a job. Lulu was suspicious but Maxie assured her roomie that she wasn't making any moves on Johnny. They merely exchanged "appreciative glances" and that was it. Then, Johnny called to say that he got a job but he wouldn't say where.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy quizzed Monica about her needlepoint. Monica wanted to know what she wanted. Tracy asked if there were any new cardiology patients at the hospital.
Maxie showed up at Robin's to plan the wedding but Robin told her cousin they couldn't go. They hadn't started any Christmas shopping, gotten a tree, etc.
Lulu was frantic when she got to GH and found out Luke was a patient. When he came clean, she couldn't believe that Luke was faking to get Tracy back. Luke then enlisted Lulu to inform Tracy of his "plight." Lulu responded that he really needed to be honest with Tracy. After Lulu arrived, Tracy strolled in. She expressed regret at leaving Luke after he "collapsed" at The Haunted
Star. Just as they seemed to be making headway, Monica showed up and wanted to talk to Luke alone. She said he needed surgery immediately. Tracy entered as Monica was instructing Leyla to prep Luke. The patient was beside himself.
At the Christmas tree lot, Johnny had a tussle with a customer and when Claudia arrived with Milo, she jumped in and put the customer in her place. Claudia wanted to know what the heck Johnny was doing working in a Christmas tree lot. She pointed out that he has no college education and has no future in manual labor. Johnny told his sister he loved her but he wanted nothing to
do with her M.O.C. to Sonny and she needed to butt out of his life.
Alexis went to Sonny's to talk about Karpov. She rehashed the events of the war with the Russians and told him the violence needs to stop. Sonny turned on the charm but Alexis said while she'd fallen for that in the past, she refused to look the other way and pointed out there's no such thing as a "good" mobster. She told Sonny that by joining the Zaccharas, he's now a "bad" mobster. Alexis then said, "No more excuses. This time, you're going to have to take the fall."
Robin and Patrick picked out a tree and brought it back to the house.... Claudia returned with a tree and Sonny begrudgingly let it in the house, but didn't want it decorated. Claudia assured Sonny that she'd get him into the holiday spirit.... At the lot, Maxie called Lulu there to say they needed to replace Kate's tree because she hated it. Then, they debated getting one of their own and spotted Johnny working, prompting Lulu to smile.
Thursday
At the Christmas tree lot, a customer wasn't treating Johnny very nice but he sucked it up. Lulu was supportive of him. Johnny replied that he'd sell Christmas trees for the rest of his life to avoid going back to his family.
Milo caught Claudia going through Sonny's Christmas tree ornaments. Milo handed Claudia her mail and walked out. Then, Claudia went after him, saying they needed to go out.
After the will reading, the Crowell family members left Nikolas and Nadine alone with their envelope. A nervous Nadine had Nik open it. The pair was surprised to learn that it was a patent for a plow that belonged to Raylene. Nadine was in awe about her aunt's secret talent and wondered why she never shared it with the family. Nik pointed out that it must be worth a fortune, considering how much money Raylene left to her kin.
Monica and Tracy's plan worked. Faced with the prospect of surgery, Luke admitted he was faking. Monica agreed to let it slide but she warned him to never pull a stunt like that again. She then told Tracy to reconcile with Luke and stop driving the family crazy. Luke apologized to Epiphany for dragging her into his scheme. She said it would never happen again. Luke saw Tracy, who told him that while she appreciated the stunt, she realized that while she may not be second choice, she's still not first. Luke explained that he has let go of his past with Laura and wants to make his life with her, but Tracy just walked off.
Sam found herself trapped in a pit in the woods. Freezing, she tried to
build a fire but couldn't. She hallucinated that she saw Lucky by a fire and then he walked away. "Don't leave!" she shouted at nothing. Later, as she tried to climb out of the pit, Sam fell and hurt her leg.
Claudia showed up at the Christmas tree lot to make peace with Johnny. She apologized for her remarks from yesterday, then offered him a wad of cash. She insisted that it was her money, not their father's but Johnny refused to take it. Claudia told her brother that he can't escape who he is and left. Lulu arrived and was surprised to hear of Claudia's compassionate gesture.
Lucky went to Jason and stated that he suspects Sam has gone missing. Jason enlisted Spinelli's help in finding Sam after he realized she's been missing since last night. Maxie busted in to deliver Spinelli's Christmas gift, then left. Spinelli opened it and was touched that it was a super hero action figure. That meant Maxie had listened to him when he discussed the comic world. He was incredibly moved. Just then, Sasha called Jason and said that she knows where Sam is being held.
Claudia returned home and found a DVD from Jerry in her mail. She popped it in and was horrified when Jerry stated that he hid another DVD in Sonny's house, which details her involvement in Michael's shooting. Claudia was panic-stricken.
Friday
Sasha told Jason to meet her in a half hour on the pier — if he wants to save Sam. Spinelli feared it was a trap and pleaded with Stone Cold not to rush into danger. Meanwhile, a wounded Sam tried and failed to escape the pit. Jason met with Sasha who offered to tell him where Sam is — in exchange for financing her escape. Back in the pit, a bloodied Sam visualized Alexis urging her to not go to sleep.
Jax, Carly and Morgan shared a warm moment as the little boy played with a noisy electronic game from his stepdad. Carly sent her son upstairs so that she could thank Jax for remaining part of her son's life. They acknowledged how much he lost, reflected on Michael's coma and admitted they'd miss each other at Christmas. Morgan returned with a card he made for Lady Jane and gave Jax a hug good-bye. Carly's eyes were misty when Jax made his exit. Afterward, she wept as she remembered a happy holiday with Sonny and Morgan.
Sonny blasted Claudia for decorating the Christmas tree with some of his old ornaments without his permission. He was upset about the reminder of his comatose son and smashed an ornament. Claudia apologized. Sonny told her that the only gift he wants is to find out if the man who shot his son had an accomplice. Gulp!
At G.H., Patrick asked Matt to be his best man. Matt was hesitant, pointing out that they don't know each other that well, but Patrick got him to finally accept.
In Robin and Patrick's pad, Scorpio tried to assure Anna that he's "as strong as an ox." She was doubtful of his claim that he's in remission and warned him not to endanger his health by jet-setting around the world. Robin came home to find her folks in the midst of a noisy argument. She was excited to see her father and introduce Emma to her grandpa. "You are absolute proof that I did something right in this world," he smiled..... Alone later, Robin questioned Robert about his health and asked him to walk her down the aisle.
Carly phoned Sonny and asked him to come over. He told his new wife not to wait up for him and took off. Claudia picked up her laptop and watched a DVD from Jerry threatening to tell the truth about her role in Michael's shooting. He gave her an odd clue: "The first DVD is hidden in the window of your soul."
Before she could tell Jason where Sam is, someone fired a shot and Sasha collapsed.
