General Hospital Recaps

GH Week of December 31, 2007

Monday

At Wyndemere, Alfred tried to encourage Nikolas to spend New Year's Eve with
his family. Nik slipped and mentioned he hadn't seen Emily all day.

At GH, Regina offered to baby-sit for Elizabeth. Liz was ecstatic about
meeting Jason later and put a dozen roses on hold. Epiphany noted that
"someone is planning a romantic evening." Epiphany then informed Robin that
one of her patients, Ellen, was just admitted to the E.R. When Robin had
Patrick paged, he accused her of sabotaging his New Year's Eve with Leyla so
she could keep an eye on him. Patrick was initially upset, until Robin
explained that the patient came to her via Georgie. He apologized and asked
her to scrub in with him. As Liz ducked out, she told Epiphany not to worry
— her son Stan would call to wish her a happy new year. Orderly Cassius
noted Epiphany lit up when she got a call but it wasn't Stan. It was
Toussaint, who was performing that night. Later, Robin appeared at the
nurse's station and told Kelly that they lost their patient, Ellen. "I am so
sick of losing people," she griped to Patrick.

Jax returned home with a severe winter cold, and Carly forced him into bed
despite the big New Year's Eve party that was going on at Metro Court. Carly
then rushed off to attend the party. Kelly called the house and got a sick
Jax on the phone. She didn't spill that Carly was researching fertility.

At Metro Court, Carly ordered Jerry not to crash her New Year's Eve party.
He laughed it off and felt bad for "poor baby brother" who was home sick.
Jerry's phone rang and Carly tried to eavesdrop but couldn't from a
distance. Carly demanded to know what Jerry was up to. He claimed nothing
but Carly didn't believe him. Carly rushed home to be with her husband at
midnight.

Lucky arrived at Sam's as she was thanking her mechanic, Joe, for fixing her
car. He was not a ray of sunshine and Sam chastised Lucky for wondering if
Joe could be the text message killer. Their arguing digressed to a kiss.

Liz got to the safe house, where Jason left her a gift, a canvas to paint on. She was crestfallen
to find out he wasn't going to make it due to business.

In a touching musical montage to "Auld Lang Syne," Robin offered a depressed
Patrick champagne, Lucky and Sam watched fireworks, Sonny was taken out of Kate's party in
cuffs, Nikolas danced with Emily and they kissed. Carly made Jax wear a
silly hat and they kissed at midnight. Happy New Year!

Tuesday

GENERAL HOSPITAL was preempted. Happy New Year!

Wednesday

At GH, Ernesto brought Luke some Cuban cigars as a get-well gift. Meanwhile,
Lucky ran into Elizabeth in the hall and they shared awkward New Year's
greetings. Elizabeth was curious why her ex was so concerned about her
whereabouts; Lucky admitted he was with Sam on New Year's.... Lucky and Lulu
met up with Tracy in Luke's room. Luke was in a surprisingly good mood so
Tracy surmised he was up to something mischievous. He vowed to follow
doctor's orders and said he didn't need his family to monitor his every
move.

Spinelli, Jason and Diane were in the middle of trying to find a way to help
Sonny when Diane opened a letter saying she'd been nominated for Litigator
of the Year. She was ecstatic and quickly left to purchase a new outfit for
the ceremony.... Ric arrived and told Jason that Diane's preoccupation with
the award might prevent her from focusing on getting Sonny out of jail.

At Metro Court, Jerry helped Alexis open her mail. She squealed in delight
when she read the letter saying she was also nominated for Litigator of the
Year. Jerry asked if he could accompany her to the dinner, but she rejected
his offer. Later, Carly stopped by and served Alexis with an eviction
notice. Alexis promised to pay up ASAP, then gave her rival some unsolicited
advice and told Carly to do everything in her power to keep Jax happy.

Alexis got a babysitter for the night of the award and went off to purchase
a new pair of shoes. Meanwhile, Diane sought fashion advice from Maxie, but
said she preferred Kate Howard's couture expertise instead. Later, Alexis
also met with Maxie to talk dresses.

At Wyndemere, Nikolas had another vision of Emily and told her that he
wasn't having fits of rage anymore. Then Lulu showed up to check in on him
and suggested he go for a walk. After, Nik wondered if his tumor will kill
him. Emily said their love would save him.

Spinelli whined to Max about failing to avenge Georgie's death by finding
the text-message killer and was busted by the city health inspector....
Jerry put a hit out on a former operative in Florida...Epiphany was miffed
that her son, Stan hadn't called. When he did, he said he was in Florida,
then there was a car crash.... Ric and Skye flirted; Alexis caught them in a
moment.

Back at GH, Tracy called Luke out on his contraband but couldn't locate it.
After she left, Luke lit up a stogie, started wheezing and his monitors went
haywire.

Thursday

As Luke visited death's door once again, due to his ill-gotten cigar, he
found himself on trial in purgatory. "Your soul is on trial," advised his
look-alike judge, "And so far, sir, you look like an idiot." Luke
look-alikes also appeared as the prosecutor and defense attorneys. As the
court personnel began assessing the sins of Lucas Lorenzo Spencer, the first
two witnesses were called: Alexis and Carly. They discussed his plan to kill
Helena and him blackmailing Carly to keep her origins a secret from Bobbie.
Next up were Edward, Mac, Skye and Tracy, who all delighted in sharing
Luke's numerous improprieties with the court. Nikolas was up next, followed
by Lesley and Scott. Luke was remiss that everything they said about him was
true. In his defense, Bobbie, Lesley and Lucky testified, but their Luke
stories were no better. Later, Lulu took the stand and poignantly stated
that her father never wanted her. After the trial, it came time for the
jury's verdict. Each person who testified proclaimed, "Guilty," until it
came to Tracy, who stated, "Not guilty" and her argument for acquittal
convinced each juror to change his/her verdict. Luke woke up in the hospital
to find his family watching over him. He thanked Tracy for saving him, then
she noted it was only so she could kill him herself!

In New York, Sonny was being interrogated by the police, who wanted to know
what the mob boss was doing in town. Kate burst in and name-dropped,
impressing Sonny with her ability to get him out of hot water. She also
successfully schmoozed a female bailiff. Kate's tap dancing paid off and
Sonny was released. Back at the hotel, Sonny apologized for ruining her
night. They then got into their robes and smooched the night away.

At Ric's office, Alexis was excited to share her news about being nominated
for Litigator of the Year with Ric and Skye. Just then, Sam called and had
to drop out of her baby-sitting duties. Ric said he knows someone who can
sub — himself. "You?" she scoffed. After Ric recounted examples of his
acting in the Kristina and Molly's best interests, Alexis and Ric seemingly
buried the hatchet between them, prompting a smile from Skye.

At G.H. Epiphany was frantic when her call from son Stan ended in what
sounded like a car accident. While Epiphany spoke to 9-1-1, Liz made a
covert call. She'd reached Spinelli, who used his cyber skills to locate
Stan's whereabouts. He and Jason shared the info with a worried Epiphany.
Jason informed Epiphany that Stan hadn't worked for him since September.
"Then who has he been working for?" Epiphany wondered aloud. Across town,
Jerry Jacks was on the phone seeking confirmation of Stan's death. Alexis
returned to her office to find Jerry, but just missed the incriminating
portion of his call.

Now alone, Ric noted how much alike he and Skye are, and the pair fell
into a passionate kiss. Skye, however, was a bit shaken and excused
herself.... Word came in from Florida about Stan's condition: Epiphany wept
openly upon getting the news. Simultaneously, Jerry got the call confirming
Stan's demise, then he escorted Alexis to dinner.

Friday

Felicia went to the PCPD and told Mac she wants to work on the case and find
"find the psychopath who murdered my daughter." Just then, Harper burst in
and said another woman has been found strangled. Harper also noted a
footprint was found near Georgie's body. He then left to investigate and Mac
told Felicia she's too close to this case to work on it. Felicia said it
would help her emotionally, as it took this tragedy to bring her home. Maxie
entered and didn't want to hear anything her mother had to say. Maxie barked
that while her mother was off saving the world, she lost both her daughters.
Harper returned and said the new victim was an unrelated gang killing. He
handed Mac Georgie's autopsy photos. Felicia wanted to see them but Mac
warned her not to look. Felicia burst into tears after looking at Georgie's
autopsy photos. Just then, Harper showed up with warrant against Johnny Z.

Max confirmed to Jason that Stan was run off the road. Max believed it was
Johnny Zacchara but Jason said Johnny shouldn't be blamed for his father's
sins. Just then, Carly interrupted and begged Jason to talk to Michael. She
feared he's going to go into the mob just like Sonny. Jason said he'd talk
to the boy.

Kate emerged from the bedroom in her hotel and Sonny was no where to be
found. Diane called Kate and shared her good news about the award
nomination. Just then, Sonny entered with a present — a small replica of the
Empire State Building. They smooched. Diane showed up at Kate's door to
borrow a dress and was irate to see Sonny there, as he was in violation of
the restraining order filed against him. She insisted that she was going to
escort him home.

Jerry chastised an unseen business partner on the phone. Alexis entered and
Jerry asked if she wanted company at the awards dinner. Ric arrived and said
no way in hell. Jerry advised Ric not to threaten him and left. Ric assured
Alexis everything would be fine at home and wished her luck with the awards.
After Alexis left, Kristina huffed that she wanted waffles — her Daddy's
waffles.

At G.H., Luke pulled out a cigar hidden in his bedside flowers but Lulu's
arrival cut short his plans. He quizzed her about Johnny. She insisted they
were just friends. Luke was not pleased she was hanging out with a Zacchara.
She assured him she wasn't going to get involved in mob business. Logan
showed up and Lulu left with him. Before leaving, she removed the cigar from
the flowers.

At Crimson Pointe, Trevor was furious at the stunt Johnny pulled at the mob
meeting, but Johnny insisted that he's in charge now and he'll do what he
wants.

At G.H., Dr. Ford told Epiphany to go home and take all the time she needs,
but she wanted to stay busy. Elizabeth and Nadine offered their condolences.
Liz suggested that Epiphany talk to someone; Epiphany agreed. She went to
see Jason and demanded that he help her find Stan's killer. Jason agreed but
warned her she may not like what he finds out.

An upset Maxie went to see Coop, who had to be at work. They hugged and he
left. Spinelli saw the exchange and warned Maxie about Georgie's suspicions
of Coop. Maxie got upset and started breaking dishes. Lucky rushed in and
comforted Maxie in her grief. He brought her down to the PCPD to see Mac.

As "Moreau," Jerry called Trevor and expressed hesitation about making a
deal with someone as erratic as Johnny. Just then, Johnny grabbed the phone
and hung up on him. Then, Harper and the cops arrived to drag Johnny down to
the station for questioning. There, Mac told Johnny that Georgie was able to
ID her killer.
