General Hospital Recaps

GH Week of February 22, 2010

Monday

After their near collision, Maxie went over to Lucky's car. He was fine but he did have a cut on the head. Lucky said he wasn't drunk, just angry and admitted to speeding. Maxie added that she was texting and talking to Kate, so she was at fault as well. Lucky refused to go to the hospital, so Maxie took him back to her apartment and bandaged his cut. They sat and talked about their respective relationships. Lucky confided that Elizabeth was pregnant and staying at Shadybrook. Maxie shared about her infidelity with Spinelli and advised him to be honest with Elizabeth about his feelings of indifference. Lucky then got a page. He thanked Maxie and left.

At Casa de Corinthos, Sonny and Olivia fought when Sonny asked her to talk to Dante about what he'd be telling the cops. Olivia refused to tell her son what to do. Sonny blamed Olivia for keeping Dante's paternity from him, saying he would not have shot Dante had he known the cop was his son. Olivia refused to take any blame for Sonny's behavior.

At G.H., Jason confronted Dante about his actions and suggested he show Sonny some respect. Lulu asked Jason if he would have shot Dante. Jason admitted there were plans to bump off Dante prior to finding out he was Sonny's son. Jason left and Dante thanked Lulu for all her support.

Ethan broke up Max and Milo's shootout, unknowingly allowing Johnny to slip away. Max was furious with Ethan. Afterward, Ethan returned to The Haunted Star without Luke's cigars and told him and Tracy about the gunfight. Ethan wasn't at all flustered. He said it was good to "mix it up with a rough crowd" every now and then. Luke wholeheartedly agreed. Tracy wanted to talk about Lulu seeing Dante but Luke said it's not his business. Johnny showed up and thanked Ethan for his help. "Blind luck," Ethan stated. "I don't
stick my neck out for anyone." Johnny left Ethan some cash, which made Ethan smile. Luke noticed the money Johnny left Ethan and wanted to know what was going on. Ethan told his father the truth about Johnny being involved in the shootout.

Nikolas visited Elizabeth at Shadybrook and admitted he was still in love with her. Liz reiterated that she wanted to be with Lucky. Nik asked Liz about a paternity test. Liz then asked Nikolas why he would want another child since he practically ignores Spencer. Nik admitted he's made parenting mistakes but he continued to press for the paternity test. Liz refused to endanger the baby's health by doing the test early. Liz then told Nikolas to stop pressuring her. Nik apologized and left.

Sonny asked Jason to look into the shootout to see who was behind it. Jason told Sonny about his confrontation with Dante. Jason was frustrated that Sonny made Dante untouchable. Later, Lucky ran into Jason on the docks at the scene of the shoot out. Lucky told Jason about Liz's pregnancy and her breakdown. Lucky vowed to remain a good father to Jake and Cameron. Lucky then asked Jason about who could have hijacked Sonny's shipment.

Johnny went to see Olivia. She opened the door and he kissed her
passionately. Olivia was stunned at first but gave in. Johnny took off his shirt and grabbed at Liv's clothing.

Lulu came home and talked with Maxie about being caught in the middle between Dante and Sonny.

Sonny went to visit Dante at G.H. Dante called Sonny arrogant. Sonny asked Dante for another chance to build on their relationship. Dante refused. "I want nothing from you!" he spat. "That refusal to forgive.... is just like me," Sonny replied before walking out of the room.

Tuesday

Today marked GH’s 12,000th episode!
Maxie visited Dante in the hospital and demanded to know if he was "playing" Lulu. Dante resented Maxie comparing him to Sonny. Maxie warned Dante that if he's not for real, she'll make sure he ends up, "miserable and alone."

At the docks, Jason lifted the bullet casing from the scene. As Lucky quizzed Jason about what he knew, Jason mentioned that Max and Milo informed him earlier that Ethan was there.

At The Haunted Star, Luke warned Ethan about getting involved with the wrong people. Lulu showed up, and Tracy announced that she called the girl over for Luke to convince her to stop seeing Dante. Luke refused to get involved. Tracy pointed out, "Like father, like son," regarding Sonny and Dante. Lulu appreciated Tracy's concern, but refused to heed her dire warnings about Dante.

At the penthouse, Spinelli and Sam went over what she'd say in court. Jason burst in and had Spinelli check into the security footage from the docks. Jason told Sam he thinks he knows who was responsible for hijacking Sonny's shipment. Shortly after, Spinelli confirmed that Johnny was the perpetrator. Spinelli believed that Johnny wanted to get caught.

At her apartment, Johnny and Olivia finished making love. Johnny made Liv close her eyes for a big surprise. Johnny pulled out a necklace. Liv thought it was beautiful, but then asked Johnny where he got it. When Johnny said it was bought with Zacchara money, Liv hesitated to accept it. Johnny pleaded with her to put it on. She did. Later, while having something to eat, they toasted to their renewed happiness, "And whatever comes next," Olivia added. As they kissed, there was a knock at the door. Jason entered and told Johnny he left his bullet casing behind. Jason firmly warned Johnny that while he can understand Johnny's anger toward Sonny over Claudia, they both have jobs to do. After Jason left, Johnny threw the casing at the door. Johnny got dressed and Olivia tried to return the necklace but he wouldn't take it. Johnny as determined to bring Sonny to his knees, then took off.

Kiefer called the lake house. Alexis picked up and Kristina told her mom to pretend she wasn't home. Alexis went along with the ruse and told her daughter that she could talk to her about anything. Kristina said it was no big deal. Diane came in to vent about Sonny. Kristina took her books into the other room and said she hopes Diane loses the case and her father goes to prison. Alone, Diane told Alexis that she needs to "step up." Alexis turned down Diane's request to join her firm, "for the 12,000th time!" Alexis noted. Diane was adamant about getting Alexis to convince Sonny not to plead guilty in Claudia's murder. The women then discussed legal strategy but halfway through, Diane said that since they're not at the same firm, Diane shouldn't discuss the case and left.

Maxie went to the penthouse and gave Spinelli a passionate kiss, then vented that she's still worried about Lulu getting hurt by Dante. Maxie then told Spinelli that he is the love of her life.

Lulu entered Dante's room. They compared notes on their talks with Maxie and Tracy. Lulu admitted she did have some concerns about their relationship. Dante volunteered to take a lie detector test. Dante passed the test and kissed Lulu.

Kristina apologized to Alexis for snapping earlier. Krissy wanted to go shopping for some "retail therapy" but Alexis had to work. Kristina was disappointed.

Johnny went to see Anthony in prison and asked his father to make a call so they can team up with the Escobars to rally against Sonny. Johnny told his father that he'd bring down Sonny with or without Anthony's help.

Back on the docks, Jason told Lucky that Johnny was responsible for the hijacked shipment and warned Lucky that if Johnny's not reined in, he may start a new mob war.

Wednesday

Jason kissed a napping Sam awake. She asked where he had been. Jason explained that he had been working on reorganizing his business so as not to go to war with Johnny. Sam thought that she might be able to help Jason with Johnny.

Olivia revealed to Claire that Jax is married with children, which seemed to throw Claire for a loop. Jax assured Olivia that he hadn't given up on his marriage. After she left, Claire asked Jax, "How was I?" Jax replied that he had picked the right woman for the job.

Michael asked Johnny what he'd say if Michael told him that Sonny didn't kill Claudia. They traded insults over Sonny and Claudia. Michael lashed out at Johnny for keeping the Dominic/Dante info a secret but Johnny was unrepentant. Mike arrived and asked Michael to help him unload some deliveries. He then privately told Johnny not to give Michael any grief.

Diane blasted Sonny for how he'd dressed for his day in court. She insisted that he change his clothes. Diane warned Sonny that the judge was tough. Their conversation was interrupted by Jason's arrival. Diane excused herself after asking Jason not to go to the courtroom. Sonny asked Jason to help convince Michael that Sonny is doing the right thing by taking the fall. Michael showed up and Sonny reiterated that Claudia's death is his fault, not Michael's, and that Michael is doing the right thing by letting him handle the situation. Jason then conversed with Michael about Michael's desire to take responsibility for the murder.

At the hospital, Epiphany berated Robin and Lisa for leaving their filing for her to do. She asked Steve to intervene as Matt observed. Lisa offered to hook Epiphany up with the concert tickets she wanted. The docs agreed that Lisa would have hell to pay if she didn't come through. When she produced the tickets, Robin lost the bet she'd made with Patrick (though she accused him of cheating). Lisa and Steve continued to bond. Patrick and Robin stole some smooches.

Alexis helped Kristina evade a visit from Kiefer, then warned her daughter that she couldn't avoid him forever. Kristina went to see her grandfather and told him that she thought her father's day in court was karmic payback. "I think my dad should have to face the consequences," she said. Mike advocated on Sonny's behalf. Kiefer then approached Kristina; she was not happy to see him. Kristina told Kiefer that she couldn't trust him not to hurt her again. She finally agreed to go to a movie with him, then lit up when Ethan entered. She chatted him up as a departing Kiefer glowered. Ethan gave Kristina poker lessons.

Johnny went to see Sam at her request. She advised Johnny to stop seeking revenge, noting that it wouldn't bring his sister back. Johnny stalked out. Sam was concerned when she saw Ethan and Kristina together.

In the courtroom, Diane and Alexis bickered over Alexis's desire to work to exonerate Sonny. Sonny was surprised to see Alexis there to defend him; she explained that she was there for Kristina's sake.

Mac warned the federal prosecutor assigned to Sonny's case, Ed, that Diane is a "barracuda" in court. Claire entered and, after Mac left, told Ed that she was taking over the case. Claire then walked in and introduced herself to Alexis and Diane, who were immediately alarmed because of her tough demeanor. Court was called to session. Sonny pleaded not guilty. Claire requested that bail be revoked and Sonny be remanded to police custody.

Thursday

Michael was still upset that his father was taking the rap for his crime, but Jason advised Michael to chill.

Sonny's arraignment began and the court was surprised that Prosecutor Claire Walsh had been put on the case. It turned out that Jax used his influence to have the new Prosecutor assigned because of her impressive track record. In court, the proceedings began but Sonny ordered Diane to ask for a recess. Diane reluctantly did and in the hall, she chastised Sonny for making himself look like a thug in court. Sonny asked Diane to call Jason. During the recess, Alexis saw Jax and realized that he was behind the switcheroo. The best friends had words. Alexis asked Jax to back off Sonny for Kristina's sake but Jax was determined to see Corinthos go to prison.

At Kelly's, Ethan gave Kristina a poker lesson. Sam entered and sat with them. When Kristina left the table to take a call, Sam told Ethan that Krissy had a crush on him and asked the bloke not to encourage her little sister. On the phone, Kristina told Kiefer that something suddenly came up and she couldn't meet him. When Krissy sat down again, Ethan told her that he had to go and they shouldn't hang out because of their age difference. After he left, Krissy was furious at Sam, realizing that she said something to Ethan. Sam made no apologies for what she did.

Johnny met up with Lulu at the hospital. She asked him not to talk to Dante about Sonny's case. He smiled and said that Sonny would get what he deserved. Johnny went to The Haunted Star and told Ethan about his vendetta against Sonny. Johnny asked Ethan for help, and reminded him there was a lot of money to be made. Ethan considered the proposition.

Robin visited Dante and told him about how Sonny took Stone in and revealed a warmer, nurturing side of the mobster. Patrick heard them talking and asked Robin to come speak to him. In the hall, Patrick was furious that Robin was trying to sway Dante's decision to testify but Robin didn't care. Afterward, Dante told Lulu that he was moved by Robin's story. Lulu got Dante dressed for court and Patrick signed him out. Patrick told Dante to do whatever he needed to do. Steven was angry that Patrick signed out his patient and Robin realized that Patrick did it so she couldn't try to influence Dante again. Steven warned Patrick not to overstep his bounds.

Michael was feeling trapped at home when Kristina arrived. Michael said she should be at court with their father. Kristina told her brother that Sonny taking the rap was the only good thing he has ever done.

Jason arrived at the courthouse and Sonny told Jason to get things in order so Sonny could leave the country. Jason agreed and phoned Spinelli to make the arrangements. When the proceedings reconvened, Diane sought to keep Sonny's bail from being revoked. Alexis butted in during Diane's argument and the judge warned her that if she continued, she'd be cited for contempt. Diane told the judge that if Sonny was a flight risk, he'd already be gone. Claire spoke up that Sonny would surely flee. Just then, Dante and Lulu entered the courtroom, and Claire called Dante to the stand.

Friday

Lucky went on a police call and caught his father pilfering. Luke claimed he was in search of his elusive Cuban cigars. Luke told Lucky about Johnny sniffing around Ethan. Lucky shared the news of his near miss with Maxie on the road. He also mentioned Helena's interest in Elizabeth. Lucky admitted that he doesn't know what to do as far as Liz is concerned. Luke suggested running but Lucky couldn't leave town. He then stated that with everything going on, Lucky needs to get his act together.

At the Haunted Star, Johnny kept pressing Ethan to help him in his quest to bring down Sonny. Tracy entered and told Johnny to get out. She then spilled to Ethan that Johnny was once Luke's partner until Luke was nailed for money laundering and Johnny was a part of Lulu's nervous breakdown. Johnny left and Ethan told Tracy that he could take care of himself. Tracy warned Ethan about mob life, but he wasn't hearing it.

In court, Diane and Alexis quibbled with the judge on how to handle Sonny's case. The judge told Alexis to step up as co-counsel or keep her lip zipped. Diane was in favor of it but only if Alexis joined her firm. Under pressure, Alexis agreed. Claire called Dante to the stand. Claire asked Dante about his gunshot wound. "Who shot you?" she asked point blank. Dante stuck to his story that he accidentally shot himself. Dante was dismissed. The judge retired to consider his verdict.

Jason, Sam and Spinelli made plans to whisk Sonny out of the country. The trio realized that they would have to sacrifice everything if Sonny skips out while on bail.

At G.H., Robin and Patrick continued their argument over Robin getting involved with Sonny's case. Lisa sided with Patrick and Steven interrupted and refereed. Robin felt that she was being ganged up on and said, "Fine. You win," and stormed off. Steven told Robin to take the rest of the night off. To help her calm down, Steven took Robin to Kelly's for a chocolate milkshake. Robin did not apologize for standing up for Sonny and Jason. She then told Steven about her love story with Patrick.

At Jake's, a frustrated Patrick threw darts. Lisa joined him and tried to make Patrick feel better. Patrick opened up about Robin's history with Sonny and Stone. Patrick admitted he felt left out of that part of Robin's life. Lisa was sympathetic.

Johnny found himself in another shootout on the docks when Ethan showed up to lend a hand…. Jason worked with Max, Milo and Sam to stage a diversion in order to whisk Sonny away. Jason thanked Spinelli for his efforts…. Everyone waited anxiously for the judge's return. The judge came back. "I have made my decision," the judge declared.
