General Hospital Recaps
GH Week of February 4, 2008
Monday
Anthony Zacchara did not recognize Claudia, who marveled that Johnny had
grown into a man. She revealed that Trevor summoned her. Trevor and Johnny left
Claudia with her father. Johnny was furious with Trevor for bringing his
half sister in to take over as figurehead, but predicted Trevor will have
his hands full with her. Anthony noted Claudia looks "a little too slutty,"
and asked what she wants. She recalled the day he sent her away: Nobody in
the family liked her, and she didn't like herself. Her mother and step
mother were dead. (Maria was "dead on the inside.") Anthony told her to
return later with Johnny and Maria, but not someone he called "the
Pusher." She said she wants "everything," and noted, "If you try to stop me,
I will kill you." Later, Trevor told Claudia her brother needs her. She
maintained her need for privacy.
Driving their separate cars, Elizabeth nodded off, Monica drank and a
sobbing Carly made a cell call. They all swerved just as Sam was shown
fleeing the man in black and getting struck by a car. Some time later, Carly
checked a small cut on her forehead and panted "We're both gonna be okay."
(Both?) A shaky Monica capped her booze and went to the GH locker room and
began sobbing uncontrollably, then bagged her clothes. Then she reported her
car stolen. Liz arrived at the safe house, shaking, and told a worried Jason
about her nightmares. She mentioned falling asleep at the wheel — and
thinking the car went off the shoulder or hit something. After a shower,
Jason asked her about seeing Sam with Jake.
At Jax and Carly's place, Sonny told Kate she doesn't owe him an explanation
for her and Jax being clad in bathrobes. When Jax indicated that Kate had
told him about her past as Connie, Sonny was furious she wouldn't "be"
Connie in Bensonhurst the other night. She revealed she plans to make Port
Charles her "primary residence." She won't grovel around him, but while
Sonny and Connie couldn't make it, Sonny and Kate might. Still, she doesn't
want the target on her back that comes with being "Mrs. Sonny Corinthos." He
said they're done, but she maintained they're not. He shrugged and left.
Kate tried to ask for Jax's help — but Carly arrived and freaked out. Kate
left to get dressed and Carly screamed at Jax. Later he noticed the cut on
her head. She said "something happened" on the way home.
Lucky told Lulu that Liz taught him about love, but they have "lies and
hurt" between them now. Lucky was sure their mother would want him to patch
things up with Liz. Lulu asked about Sam, and Lucky said she did something
he cannot forgive, and he's tired of Sam's lies. Lulu said Lucky cares too
much.
Back at G.H., Epiphany locked horns with Dr. Devlin, whom Patrick described
as a reconstructive surgeon who switched specialties to oncology. Robin
arrived looking for Nikolas. Nadine said he went for a drive. Elsewhere,
Nikolas was on foot when Emily appeared to him. He told Em he thought he
saw her standing in the road a while. Back at G.H., Robin criticized Dr.
Devlin as a glib womanizer. He recalled treating someone with symptoms
similar to Nik's by using an experimental drug. Nik returned in time to meet
Dr. Ian Devlin. Later, A worried Nik told Emily that might not have been her
in the road... Meanwhile, Sam lay unconscious beside the road. Sonny ran
into Johnny alone on the docks and pulled a gun on him. But Lulu
inexplicably arrived and shouted, "Stop!"
Tuesday
Maxie and Spinelli broke into Coop's room while Jerry lurked outside. When Maxie mentioned that Coop was one of the Metro Court hostage-takers, Jerry ran off. Maxie got emotional, so Spinelli held her. Renewing their search, she found a Valentine's Day gift from Coop. Then they had to hide when a black-clad figure approached the door — it was Logan. Logan was looking for cash, but Maxie sent him packing and resumed the search. Spinelli found a single pill in a bottle. Maxie didn't recognize it. Then Spinelli found dog tags — Logan's.
A gun-wielding Sonny and Johnny warned Lulu not to get involved, but she got between the men. Sonny warned Johnny to stay out the business; Johnny challenged Sonny to shoot him. Sonny pistol-whipped him and warned him that "next time" he'll die. Johnny told Lulu he's tired of being alone, and she should go off with Logan. Lulu said she may prefer to run away with Johnny. She kissed him. He revealed "someone" has re-entered his life, so Lulu naturally assumed it was a girl. Logan arrived, which chased Johnny away. Then Logan collapsed in pain. Sonny visited Anthony Zacchara to threaten him with a gun. Anthony challenged him to shoot. Again, Sonny backed off and warned Anthony that Johnny was trying to take over. Anthony warned Sonny, "It's all changing."
Carly told Jax she might have scratched the car "a little" when "something" got in the way on the road. Then she told him something even bigger: "I'm pregnant!" Ecstatic, they embraced. Carly wanted to keep it a secret, even from Michael and Morgan. At the safe house, Elizabeth awakened from another nightmare. She and Jason cuddled and reviewed her sketches. He admitted he sometimes imagines them being a family. She suggested there could be a middle ground for him somewhere between being a glamorous hit man and a boring family man. Meanwhile, Sam lay unconscious on the road next to the Man in Black. He awakened and strolled off. Later, somebody approached Sam's body. At GH, a cop was interviewing Monica about reporting her car stolen when Tracy approached and accused her of drinking (arousing the cop's suspicions). At the nearby nurses' station, Devlin defended his daredevil methods to a bickering Robin and Patrick. Leyla reported Nikolas left again. Robin bristled that Devlin was hitting on Leyla. Patrick told Devlin that Robin's hormones are out of whack because she's pregnant (Patrick later apologized). When Devlin questioned Robin's commitment, Patrick defended her. Suddenly, Sam was rolled in on a gurney accompanied by Jerry — who said he found her by the side of the road "like a broken rag doll." At Lucky's, Alexis had brought a package addressed to Sam, but Lucky said she's not coming back. Then Lulu struggled in with the injured Logan, who refused to seek medical help for what he called a bar fight. Alexis got a call from Jerry telling her about Sam's accident, so she and Lucky left. Lulu treated a shirtless Logan's injured side as Johnny peered in the window. At GH, a horrified Monica eyed Sam, while Devlin gave Jerry a weird look.
Elsewhere, Ric visited nuMarianna at the coffee shop. The newly dark-haired waitress offered him tea instead of coffee. Ric shared photos of Molly and Kristina, and told her he's sticking around for a few days. He called her "beautiful and uncomplicated," then leaned in to kiss her, but she recoiled. Later, she balked at sharing a bottle of wine. She admitted watching him and wondering if she should remain so closed off. He took his cue and kissed her. Back at the safe house, Liz awakened after dreaming of hitting...something... with her car.
Wednesday
After enjoying the end of their morning together, Jason went outside and checked Elizabeth's car. When he came back, he told her it looked like she'd hit something — there was blood on her bumper. She thought she'd hit an animal and felt terrible. They said their goodbyes and she left.
Patrick updated Alexis on Sam's situation while they waited for her to wake up. After he left, Jerry brought Alexis coffee, and she expressed her appreciation for him finding her.
Luke barged into the house as Lulu brought Logan a hot drink. Dad wasn't happy to find Logan in a robe and Lulu in pjs. Logan let Mr. Spencer know he wasn't going to stop fighting for Lulu; he loved her. Eventually Luke left, and Logan apologized for possibly saying too much. Lulu told him he hadn't — she actually believed him. Lulu told him all she needed from him was love.
Johnny was highly amused by Claudia's confrontation with Trevor. He told Claudia that he thought Trevor brought her there because he thought she would do what she was told, rather than think for herself, like Johnny. Claudia made it clear that wasn't the case. "You're going to work for me," she asserted. After Trevor left, Claudia and Johnny talked. She had a warning for him: never fall in love; love killed. Later, Trevor suggested he and Claudia clear the air. She assured him as long as he was useful to her, she would keep him around.
Ric and Marianna woke up together, and she immediately began to question her decision to sleep with him. Ric went to get breakfast, and she tried to snoop through his papers. The phone rang and she picked it up, quickly telling whoever was on the other end that she couldn't do whatever they were asking and hung up. Soon Ric came back in with breakfast, and before long they were in the shower together. Later, as they dressed and prepared to leave, Ric tried to give her a gift, which clearly freaked her out. She refused it, and also refused to meet him for dinner. He calmed her and was able to convince her to accept his gift. She opened it and loved the coat. As they were about to leave, the phone rang, but when Ric answered no one was there.
Liz arrived at the hospital and was greeted by Lucky, who told that Sam was involved in a hit-and-run the night before. Lucky told her he blamed himself for Sam's condition. He had thrown Sam out, and didn't believe her when she claimed she was being chased by the text-message killer. Liz asked if they had any clues to who hit her, but Lucky said the storm probably washed away any evidence. Leyla asked Epiphany if she had gone home the night before. Cassius confirmed she had not, and pointed out how tired Epiphany clearly was. Lucky ran into Det. Harper, and told him he was heading to the site of the hit and run, as he was in charge of the investigation.
Tracy had all kinds of questions for Monica. She made it clear she suspected there was more to Monica's story then she was letting on. Monica asked Bobbie if she would take her home, but not ask any questions. Bobbie agreed. Luke approached Tracy, who was skeptical about what he wanted. He suggested perhaps he just wanted her. She told him she didn't believe it and walked away.
Jason came upon the scene of Sam's hit-and-run, and Cruz filled him in.
Jason called Liz as she stood in front of Sam's room. She told him she needed to call him back and quickly hung up. Sam opened her eyes as Liz wondered out loud if she had done this to Sam.
Jason met Johnny on the docks. Johnny asked him if he believed love killed, and Jason stalked off.
Thursday
Tracy told Luke their marriage was over. Luke kissed her. She admitted she had missed him — just not enough. Luke tried to convince her otherwise and warned her he wouldn't give up, but she left.
Claudia told Trevor she was looking forward to meeting Sonny Corinthos. She gave him a list of things to do, including calling a meeting of the five families. Johnny walked up as Claudia left, and Trevor told him he was going to help keep Claudia in line. He reminded Johnny of how his meeting with the five families went. He warned Johnny that Claudia could get hurt. Johnny told Trevor he wished Claudia had taken him with her when she left, and walked out, only to find that she had been standing there listening. Johnny confided in Claudia how crazy he sometimes felt; his need for a rush. Claudia reminded him that she was sent away. She didn't want to leave him. He walked away from her.
As Sam woke up Liz explained what happened to her. She asked if Sam knew who hit her. Sam became agitated and noted Liz couldn't care less what happened to her. She demanded Liz get Lucky. Liz backed out of the room as a nurse went in. Later, Sam opened her eyes again as Lucky stood over her. He told her he already had a suspect, and asked her to tell him what happened. She recounted the story from the time she left his house, to the time she struggled against the killer in the road and was hit by the car. She pointed out that whoever it was would be hurt; she had been able to hit him twice in the side. She asked if Lucky was going to go to the police with the information. He told her he needed proof, and she had lost her phone on the docks. She asked who he suspected.
Nikolas called Robin and apologized for missing their meeting. He told Emily that he found his car, but he had no idea what had happened. He didn't think he should drive again. They continued to talk, until Nadine interrupted. She immediately realized what she had done and apologized. She sat down to talk with him and was shocked to realize he not only talked to Emily, he could also see her. Nik admitted he could. He told Nadine that Emily would be gone if he had the tumor removed. Nadine suggested he should be treasuring the time he had been given with Emily, rather than waste it worrying about the fact that it would have to end in order to save his life. He thanked her for her advice, and she left. Emily reappeared and told Nik that Nadine was right.
Sonny sent Max to pick up Michael. He told Jason he needed to find someone.
He wanted to look into Moreau, and Alcazar's properties. Jason asked about the earring he was holding, and Sonny told him it belonged to someone he may need him to find. Jason left the room to take a call from Elizabeth, who asked if they could meet at the house. Much to Sonny's annoyance, Jason left. When Michael came into the office, Sonny sat him down and asked what he was doing trying to take the gun from his office. He wanted Michael to promise he would stay away from guns, and Michael said he would only do that if Sonny could promise he could keep the killer away from his mom. Sonny reminded Michael that he wasn't an adult. Sonny and Jason would protect Carly and Morgan. "I guess that's why Emily and Leticia are dead," Michael retorted before leaving.
Jax came home and greeted his pregnant wife. He asked why he car wasn't in the driveway, and she explained that she'd had it sent to the shop to have the damage repaired. This surprised Jax, since he thought she'd simply scratched it. She told him she just didn't want the scratches to get rusty. Jax could tell something was up with her — she was scared of something. She told him Jason told her he thought the killer might still be out there. Jax reminded her that she had "three strapping young lads" in the house to protect her.
Logan talked about the war with Lulu. He told her how he used to dream about the woman he would fall in love with who would help him move on from the bad memories from the war. She was the one. They started kissing, but it started going too far for Lulu and she tried to put on the brakes. Logan wasn't interested in stopping and Lulu physically pushed him off of her and jumped off the couch. Logan didn't know what he was supposed to do; she ran hot and cold all the time. There was a knock at the door. It was Scotty, looking for Lucky. Lulu said he wasn't there and stormed out, leaving him alone with Logan. Logan told Scotty what happened. Scotty told Logan about how Lulu found out that her father had raped her mother. Meanwhile, Lulu showed up at Johnny's. He played the piano for her.
Claudia told Trevor he had to let up on Johnny, and Trevor chuckled at her sudden devotion. He told her he had set up a meeting with the five families and that he planned to go with her. Jason met Liz, and she told him she was worried she was the one who hit Sam.
Friday
Sonny dispatched soldiers to stake out the site of the meeting of the Five Families. At Metro Court, Claudia told Trevor she intended to "wing it" at the meeting. When Carly and Jax arrived, he went to talk to Kate, while Carly literally bumped into Claudia. "You look familiar," Carly cracked. (Ya think?) They bonded over European shopping and sexy shoes. Claudia recognized Kate as the editor of Couture. Kate asked Jax for help getting Sonny back. Jax asked where Connie's family thinks she is. Meanwhile, at home, Michael gathered cash and his revolver, then went to the docks to buy bullets from the bad kids. Mike stumbled on the buy and snared Michael, who denied having a gun. Mike made him toss the bullets in the water, but Michael kept one. Sonny arrived at Metro Court and saw Kate with Jax, but Max called with word there's a new Zacchara in town.
Johnny played "Claire de Lune" for Lulu and explained the song's origins to her. At GH, Scotty insisted Logan get his cracked rib checked out. Lucky was skeptical of Sam's story of being attacked by the Text Message Killer.
Sam was offended that he felt no personal stake in her attack. She told him to look for her phone at the docks as proof. Back at GH, Patrick told Alexis that Sam stabilized. Scott offered to take over as DA, but Alexis refused. Lucky told Scott that Sam believed the attacker has a rib injury. At the safe house, Elizabeth feared that if she really did hit Sam, no one would ever believe it was an accident. She wanted to confess, but Jason stopped her. At Kelly's, Spinelli was reviewing clues with Maxie when Mac arrived to ask her if Coop had any family to claim his remains. At GH, Epiphany seemed mopey. Maxie ran into Jerry, who wanted to chat about her "boyfriend." They ran into Alexis, who asked Maxie to sit with Sam while Alexis went for a walk (and maybe a drink) with Diane. Maxie told Sam that Coop wasn't the killer. Sam agreed, because she was chased in front of the car by him. Jason found Spinelli and had him surf for info on damaged cars. Spinelli discovered Nik's car was found abandoned but not reported stolen. But Monica's car was reported stolen. And yet another black car needed bumper repair: Carly's. Later, Cassius scolded Spinelli for not looking into Stan's death fast enough. Jason told Liz there's no evidence she hit Sam.
Lucky asked Jason what he knows about Sam's hit-and-run. Sam awakened to someone in her room.
Johnny wondered if Lulu would be there if he walked away from the family business. A spying Logan saw them smooch, but left before Johnny could call the kiss wrong. Maxie asked Robin to analyze pills. Epiphany still felt bad.
At the beach, Ric chased Marianna, who was hiding a seashell. She said her mother considered them symbols of beauty that were locked away forever unless broken open. Ric noted Marianna is just like that. She admitted she was angry because lots of tourists tell her that, but once they get (or don't get) what they want, they ignore her, so she shuts down. He kissed her, and confessed he's made mistakes, like being obsessed with revenge and ruining his relationship with Liz. She said there is good in him, no matter what his father says. "What's my father got to do with this?" he asked. She quickly changed the subject. After Ric left, Trevor called Marianna to discuss their "deal."
Sonny arrived for the meeting of the Five Families, and so did Claudia — who declared herself a Zacchara.
