Monday
Elizabeth sought out Lucky at Jake's. Lucky was not sympathetic and asked Liz if she used protection with his brother. Liz insisted she still loved Lucky and asked if there was any hope for them. Lucky spat that he's not feeling the love these days. "I'm done," he huffed. "What about the boys?" Liz asked. Just as Lucky responded, "You should have thought of that..." Liz begged him not to punish them for her misdeeds. Lucky said he'd have a lawyer call her. Heartbroken, Liz walked out. She went home to Cameron and told him that he'd see his daddy soon. Cam saw his mom was upset and hugged her.
Jax and Michael got into fisticuffs after Michael learned of his
stepfather's betrayal. Jax tried to get Michael to see that Sonny must pay for his criminal activities. Michael calmed down but Jax insisted he'd do it all again to keep his family safe.
Lulu asked Olivia how she could have compassion for Sonny. Liv advised Lulu to let Dante choose how to handle the shooting and her lies.
Sonny thanked Dante for not turning him into the cops. Dante replied, "The fact that you're my father means nothing to me." Dante vowed to put Sonny behind bars for Claudia's murder. Sonny believed the men could get past this but Dante didn't budge. Lulu burst in and ordered Sonny to get out, calling him a murderer. Lulu called Sonny a hypocrite because he felt guilt only after learning the man he shot was his son.
At the penthouse, Carly unloaded on Jason about how disappointed she is that Jax lied to her again. She also revealed that Jax knowingly framed Sonny for the crime Michael committed. "Do I divorce him?" she asked. Jason advised Carly to take some time to think about things. Carly asked Sam to watch Josslyn and Morgan while they go to G.H. A stunned Sam said she'd sure. Later, Sam had a heart-to-heart with Morgan about Dante. They were interrupted by Jax. Morgan confessed that Carly went to G.H. to talk to Sonny. Upon their arrival at the hospital, Carly feared that Jason might kill Dante.
Johnny brought Olivia some food and coffee — and a kiss. Olivia broke the news that Dante's statement said the shooting was an accident — and her statement didn't contradict that. Johnny couldn't believe his ears. Johnny was concerned that since the truth was out about Dante, it would also come out that he knew, marking Johnny as a traitor in Sonny's eyes. A furious Johnny got up and walked out.
Lucky gave Coleman a hard time when the barkeep wanted to cut him off. Lucky demanded to know what Nikolas and Liz did while at the bar. Coleman refused to say. Coleman poured a drunken Lucky another drink but advised him to watch his mouth or it may get him in trouble with the wrong person. Johnny came in to get drunk, saw Lucky and said the PCPD could kiss his ass. "Write a letter to the mayor," Lucky replied. "I'm off duty." After Johnny kept riding him, Lucky knocked Johnny to the bar and pulled a gun on him.
Maxie arrived at Dante's room to find Lulu lying next to him. Maxie had fresh clothes and insisted Lulu take a shower and change. Dante said he wished he could join her. "You are feeling better," Lulu smiled. Maxie pushed Lulu out and asked Dante what his intentions were. Alone in the shower, Lulu broke down and cried. Meanwhile, Jason showed up in Dante's room and asked Maxie to leave.
In the chapel, Sonny told Olivia it was wrong that she kept his son from him. Olivia reminded Sonny that he pulled the trigger. After she left, Carly appeared and found a tearful Sonny. "I shot my own son," he moaned.
Tuesday
At the G.H. chapel, Carly confessed Jax's doings to Sonny. Then, Sonny expressed regret over believing Olivia's lies. Sonny also confessed that it was Michael who brought him the news about Dante being an undercover cop.
Elizabeth dreamed that she was on trial during Puritan times. Due to her "adultery," she was sentenced to live the rest of her life alone. Liz woke up, grabbed her coat and left the house. Liz went to see Luke and begged him for help with Lucky. Luke believed "too much blood passed under the bridge" and he refused to aid her. "The damage is done," Luke stressed. He advised her to give it time.
At Jake's, a drunk Lucky held Johnny at gunpoint. "Do it," barked Johnny. Coleman diffused the situation and offered free drinks for the house. Ethan showed up, glad to hear the about the drinks proclamation. He then sat down with Lucky and suggested that his brother was being too hard on Elizabeth.
At the penthouse, Morgan overheard Jax and Sam's conversation about him helping get Sonny arrested. "Is that true?" Morgan asked. Jax was honest and told Morgan he did what he did to protect the kids. Morgan was torn by the turn of events, saying he loved both his father and Dante.
Ronnie visited Dante to try and get him to change his story. "Why are you perjuring yourself?" he asked. Ronnie went to Olivia to ask for her assistance. Olivia insisted that Dante would stick to his principles. Ronnie accused Olivia of choosing Sonny over her own son. Olivia called Ronnie an opportunist and told him to leave. Johnny arrived and offered Liv support. She thanked him and told Johnny that she loved him.
In Dante's hospital room, Dante told Jason that he didn't incriminate Sonny for the shooting, but he planned on Sonny going down for Claudia's murder.... Maxie helped Lulu get ready to see Dante. Lulu wasn't happy that Dante refused to incriminate Sonny. Upon arriving in Dante's room, she asked Jason to leave. Once alone, Lulu crawled into bed with Dante and they snuggled.
Lucky showed up at The Haunted Star and saw Liz. She begged him to take her back. "Don't touch me," he snapped. After he pushed Liz out, Lucky broke into tears. Luke tried to distract Lucky from his heartache and asked him to participate in an art scam with him. Lucky opted out, noting that since his gun incident at Jake's earlier, he's feeling a little unpredictable lately. Luke reminded his son that he didn't pull the trigger on Johnny and assured Lucky that he'd get through this crisis. "Thanks for believing in me, dad," Lucky whispered before leaving.
A devastated Liz arrived home in tears.... Carly came back to the penthouse and argued with Jax about his lies. He agreed to move out of their house if she'd bring the kids home to keep them out of harm's way.
Jason went back to Sonny and mentioned they needed to eliminate the traitor in their ranks. Sonny ordered Jason to leave Dante alone. Jason warned Sonny not to let Dante destroy him.
Wednesday
At The Haunted Star, Elizabeth couldn't find Luke to apologize for putting him on the spot with Lucky last night. Ethan noticed her crumpling up a flier for the Star's Valentine's Day event. "I hate Valentine's Day," she growled. She flashed back to Lucky finding her in the snow after her rape, and lamented that her actions have not only ruined her future with Lucky, "I ruined our past." She left, going to Kelly's, where she ran into Sam. Both felt awkward, but Liz went on the offensive, sniping at Sam for sleeping with stepdad Ric. Liz pretended that she wanted Sam's "secret" to getting Jason to accept her back after endangering Jake. Sam said she decided to change, made amends, and learned to respect herself. "How nice for you," Liz sniped.
At Wyndemere, Luke said he's sorry to be right that Nikolas' Cassadine genes would one day win out: "We can never change who we are" He admitted he will never trust Nik again, but acknowledged he is Laura's son and Lucky's brother, so he will step aside and let his brothers and sister deal with him. Later, Ethan arrived, and called Nik a selfish pig who brought ruination on himself and Liz. When Ethan mentioned that Elizabeth was upset over Valentine's Day, Nik told him the story of her rape.
Spinelli and Maxie had breakfast at Kelly's, where she invited him to move with her. He said he's staying in the pink room for professional reasons. She fretted that he was still holding a grudge about Franco. Spinelli confessed he was hurt by her tryst, but he sees she's remorseful, so he added, "I forgive you. I'm over it." He asked her to pay him back by forgiving herself.
A furious Jason screamed at Johnny, "As of now, you are out!" In appreciation for protecting Michael from the police, Sonny declared that Johnny should live, but he's out of the crew. Johnny insisted on explaining his reasoning: He loves Olivia, and so would not give up her son. And he also wants revenge for Claudia. While he knows Sonny didn't swing the ax, Johnny still holds him responsible for Claudia's death. Jason vowed to stop him. Johnny next brought coffee to Olivia, who was optimistic about Dante. He acknowledged that she held her secrets, and he held his, and that's over now. He's out of Sonny's crew. She was happy he's safe. "I didn't say I'm safe," he clarified. "I'm free of the first time in my life." He doesn't have to be anyone's soldier, and he hopes she will stick by him. She promised not to be won't be scared away easily. Next, he visited his father in prison to declare his intention to reclaim the Zacchara faction from Sonny and seek revenge.
Kristina went to the penthouse and asked Jason for even one reason not to hate her father. "To me, Sonny is a good man," Jason replied. He claimed Sonny's code is different, but she called her dad a thief who terrorizes people. Jason explained that Sonny's decisions were first born out of need to survive, and later from a thirst for power. However, Sonny wants his kids to be safe because he never felt safe as a child. He said Sonny regrets and all of his "mistakes," but will always love and be there for her. When Sam interrupted, Krissy left, noting she's beginning to understand Sonny. Kristina went to Kelly's, where she ran into Kiefer, who threatened her. Ethan arrived, and when Kiefer released his grip on her arm, she immediately left with Ethan. At the penthouse, Sam told Jason he would make a "fantastic father." Maxie abruptly arrived with plans to install a sauna.
At G.H., Patrick and Robin offered to pay for Elizabeth to go on a vacation, but Liz wanted them to intervene with the hospital board to get her job back. When they balked, she left. Patrick asked Lisa to cover for them, and the marrieds sneaked off to a supply closet.
Back at Wyndemere, Helena suddenly appeared and asked Nikolas how she can help. Meanwhile, at Kelly's, Elizabeth hallucinated that two men were making lewd and lascivious remarks about her. Panicking, she ran straight into the arms of Jason.
Thursday
Nikolas told Helena that she's becoming predictable and asked what her agenda was this time. Helena responded that she was there to celebrate him showing his Cassadine mettle. "It's time to stop slumming with these dreary people," Helena noted. She then offered to guide him into his new role.
At Kelly's, Lucky found Jason comforting Elizabeth. "Gotta love the timing," Lucky noted. When Lucky went off on Liz, Jason spoke up in her defense. Liz then called Lucky cruel and walked away. Jason added that the Lucky he knew has disappeared. "Don't compromise yourself," Jason advised. "You're better than that." Lucky replied that he'd take Jason's brain damaging accident in a second just so he wouldn't be able feel anything.
At Pentonville, Anthony was glad that Johnny wanted to take control of the Business, but was afraid his son arrived too late. Johnny vowed to avenge his sister's death and nail Sonny. Anthony called Claudia "a lump of coal." However, Anthony did agree to back his son, but then warned Johnny that Sonny would be hard to take down; Johnny said he wasn't worried.
In Dante's hospital room, he woke up to find Sonny there. Sonny wanted to tell his son how he ended up being a mobster. Sonny gave Dante the entire story of his abusive stepdad, Deke, his long-suffering mother and how he ended up working for Joe Scully. Dante admitted it was a sad tale, "But that doesn't excuse anything."
At G.H., Patrick convinced Robin to join him in the supply closet. Lisa watched as they entered, then went to Epiphany and asked for some supplies. As Patrick and Robin kissed and stripped, Epiphany walked in on them.
Carly met with Diane to discuss Sonny's case. Diane stated that she'd never advise a client to flee town but if Max were in Sonny's shoes, "I'd have him on the next plane to South America." Sonny came home to find the women and Diane pointed out that his case against him is based on circumstantial evidence and advised him to plead not guilty. Sonny feared the truth might come about Michael and said he planned to confess to Claudia's murder.
Elizabeth returned home with the boys. When the doorbell rang, Cameron opened the door to Helena. Liz grabbed the kids and asked what she wanted. Helena brought Liz a golden tin as a gift and thanked her for turning Nik to the dark side. Just then, Ethan burst in. Before leaving, Helena offered Liz a lifetime supply of anti-depressants.
Jason returned to the penthouse and mentioned to Sam that he couldn't believe how cold Lucky was to Liz. Jason admitted he was afraid for Lucky, then told Sam how much he appreciated her. Sam said she, too, was grateful, then asked him to consider the idea of a sauna. At first, he was hesitant but the way Sam put it, well, let's just say she was very convincing. Jason picked up Sam and carried her upstairs.
Morgan and Molly had ice cream sodas at Kelly's and discussed Sonny's case. Michael entered and wanted to know what they were talking about. They confessed, and Michael was upset at the idea of his father going to jail for a crime he committed.
Lulu arrived with fresh clothes for Dante, and he admitted that he felt sorry for Sonny because of his lousy childhood. Just then, Agent Rayner burst in and demanded the truth about the shooting or else Dante would have to turn in his badge.
Helena returned to Wyndemere and told Nikolas that while Spencer is a nice boy, his bloodline is tainted. It was time for a new heir, she remarked.
At Liz's house, the door was left open and snow blew in.... Molly and Morgan went to Jason and told him that they believed Michael was about to confess to the police.... At the PCPD, Michael told Mac that Sonny didn't kill Claudia — he did!
Friday
Over drinks, Nathan commiserated with Lucky. Things were never the same with Elizabeth after he came back from the "dead" (thanks, Helena), explained Lucky. He recalled the night he rescued Elizabeth from her attack. "I did my best to love her back to health," he recalled sadly. Maybe to him, Elizabeth has always been that fragile girl, and he never saw the woman she became, Lucky reflected.
At church, Elizabeth lit a candle and kept flashing back to her past with Lucky. She wants Lucky back, Elizabeth cried, then passed out. Lucky found her, and frantically tried to revive her.
Helena urged Nikolas to produce an heir, since Spencer isn't suited to carry on the Cassadine heritage. "I'm not interested in creating a back-up child for you," Nik spat.
At the police station, Michael confessed to Mac that he killed Claudia. Giving a false confession is against the law, said Mac sternly. "Did your dad put you up to this?" he asked, adding, "I'm going to do you a big favor. This conversation never happened." Sam showed up at the station, claiming she needed to pay parking ticket, and whisked Michael off to Jason's. "Do nothing," Jason ordered Michael. "Trust me. If you keep your mouth shut about Claudia's death, you're helping Sonny." Morgan and Molly were there, too, and also promised to keep quiet.
Sonny informed Diane he was going to confess to killing Claudia in self defense. She might not be able to get him acquitted, warned Diane. "I'm going to do what I have to do to save my son," insisted Sonny. Diane suggested that Carly coach Sonny on looking soulful for a jury since, "The icy mob boss thing isn't working." After Diane left, Carly warned Sonny that there's a good chance he could go to prison. She wanted him to leave the country. "I want you to promise me that when I say go, you go." A disgusted Jax found them hugging.
In his hospital room, Dante admitted to Lulu that getting fired was "not my proudest moment." The force should be begging him to stay, argued a supportive Lulu, and urged him to fight for his job. Lulu left Dante and arrived home to find that Maxie had filled the apartment decorated as "Planet Love" with balloons. She wanted alone time with Spinelli, Maxie explained, pressing extra balloons, scented candles (and condoms!) on Lulu to take back to the hospital. Meanwhile, Mac showed up to see Dante and offered him a job. But, "I need some assurances," Mac said: Dante couldn't try to protect his father. And Mac needed to get Michael to get on the stand and serve as a witness against his father.
