GH Week of January 25, 2010
Monday
Lucky mercilessly ripped into Elizabeth and Nikolas and read them the riot act. His anger spewed forth as he called his brother and fiancée on the carpet for cheating on him. "You cheated and you lied and you handed yourself out like candy," Lucky told Liz. Elizabeth took his entire tirade and after Lucky left, Nikolas wanted to stay and console her but Liz ordered him out. "I hate you right now," she spat. Liz broke down into tears and tore apart the house.
Carly went to invite Elizabeth to Josslyn's christening and walked in on her confrontation with Lucky. Carly immediately rushed over to Jason's to let him know about "sweet, saintly Elizabeth" was sleeping with Nik. Carly was giggly but said she felt bad for Lucky. Then, Carly mentioned that Jason might want to consider taking custody of Jake. Jason replied that Carly needs to mind to her own business.
At G.H., Lulu confided in Epiphany about Lucky hitting the sauce again. Lucky showed up at The Haunted Star and demanded a drink. Luke silently complied and advised his son to get some rest, insisting that his son will overcome his troubles. Lucky wasn't so sure. Luke's heart went out to his heartbroken son.
On the docks, Nikolas broke the news to Lulu that he and Liz have been sleeping together. "You selfish pig!" Lulu shouted. "How could you do that to your own brother?"
Sonny feared Maxie would crack under Mac's questioning and incriminate Michael but she managed to hold her own. Diane was happy with Maxie's performance.
Dominic let Olivia know that Sonny will soon be arrested and admitted he felt honored when Sonny asked him to take over the business one day. Although torn up with guilt, Dominic planned on following through with bringing Sonny down. Olivia urged her son to drop the case against Sonny before it was too late.
Michael told Sonny that Dominic was really an undercover cop. Sonny was speechless.
Tuesday
Carly told Jason that he needs to re-think his agreement to allow Elizabeth to raise Jake. Carly pointed out that Liz was a slut and Lucky was off the wagon, and that's no environment to raise a child. Jason told Carly not to call Liz names and to mind her own business. Sam entered and overheard the exchange about Jake. Carly explained what happened to Sam and Jason calmed down. He told Carly that he appreciated where her concern was coming from. She said she was just trying to look out for him, hugged him and left. Sam pointed out that Carly may have a point. Jason told Sam that his lifestyle was still too dangerous to raise a son.
Olivia begged Dominic to take himself off the case. He felt guilty for hurting the members of Sonny's family. She told him that what he was doing was important and she was proud of her son. After Dominic left, Olivia placed a call and asked to speak to the head of Sonny's case. Johnny stopped by to see Olivia but she said she had an important errand to run.
Michael informed Sonny that he heard a conversation between Dominic and Johnny, and that Dom is an undercover cop working to bring Sonny down. Sonny demanded to know exactly what Michael heard and wondered if Michael wasn't just jealous and retaliating against Dominic.
At G.H., Robin and Patrick conferred on several cases. He was glad to have his wife back from her trip. Mike was rushed into GH. Ethan said he found a beaten Mike lying in an alley.
On the docks, Lulu was furious to learn about Nikolas and Elizabeth's affair. She was upset that Nik would do something so hurtful to Lucky and was also angry with Liz for her months of deception. "Who are you?" Lulu asked her oldest brother.
At Metro Court, Dominic asked Jax if he was ready to pay the price when Carly finds out that they were in cahoots to bring Sonny down. Jax said he planned to confess all to his wife soon and believed that she would forgive him.
At the lake house, Kiefer almost guilted Kristina into having sex but Michael interrupted their kiss and said he needed to speak to his sister alone. An angry Kiefer walked out. Michael spilled the beans about Dominic. Kristina told Michael not to tell Jason. She pointed out that if Jason were to kill Dominic, it would be murder one and he'd get the death penalty. Kristina suggested Michael talk to Jax. Michael went to Jax's office and asked for his help. Jax said he might be able to pull a few strings but insisted that Michael not mention any of this to Carly.
Robin called Sonny and told him about Mike. Sonny wanted Patrick to perform the operation but he pointed out that Lisa was better suited for it.
Lulu returned to G.H. where she spotted Elizabeth and called her on the carpet for cheating on Lucky with Nikolas. A guilt-ridden Elizabeth remained silent while Lulu humiliated her in front of everyone at G.H. "You're a lying tramp," Lulu huffed. After Lulu's tirade, Ethan was sympathetic toward Elizabeth. She thanked him for his kindness.
Olivia met with Agent Rayner, who was revealed to be in charge of Sonny's case. Olivia insisted that Dominic be removed from the case, since Sonny is Dominic's father. Rayner was angry that Liv kept silent until now. Olivia left and Rayner called to have Sonny's arrest warrant pushed up. Olivia returned home to see Johnny waited for her. She was greatly relieved.
Lulu went to see Dominic and unloaded about Lucky, Liz and Nik. She asked if he was lying to her, too. Dominic replied that he loved her. She said she loved him, too. They kissed. Then, Dom's phone rang. It was Rayner, who informed him that Sonny would be arrested Friday. Dom hung up and asked Lulu to leave. Lulu was crushed.
Sonny arrived at the penthouse and told Jason about Michael's accusations. The men weren't sure what to believe. They agreed to investigate Dominic.
Wednesday
At G.H., Elizabeth called out sick. Lisa said she didn't blame her. Patrick pointed out that Lulu's smackdown was none of their business. Epiphany told everyone to get back to work. Steven arrived and stated that Liz asked everyone to respect her privacy during this trying time. Robin asked Steven to tell Liz that she and Patrick don't judge her. Lisa and Patrick were acting a little flirty during and after Mike's surgery. However, all were happy that Mike was going to be okay.
At the penthouse, Jason filled in Sam and Spinelli about Michael's claim regarding Dominic. They discussed whether or not the allegation could be true. Jason reviewed Dominic's behavior and asked Spinelli to investigate.
Dominic returned to find Lulu in his room. "What the hell's going on?" she demanded to know. She said as long as he's not taking back his "I love you," then nothing else matters. They kissed. Dominic explained to Lulu that he was trying to distance himself from her to keep him safe. Lulu vowed to stand by him. Dom stated he hopes to live through Sonny's arrest.
Carly bumped into Johnny on the docks, literally. He helped her clean up her bags full of party supplies. Carly mentioned that Johnny hadn't R.S.V.P.'d to the christening. Johnny explained he thought the invite was a mistake. Carly pointed out that despite Claudia's machinations, Johnny helped out in their times of need. Realizing that Carly wasn't going to take "No" for an answer, Johnny accepted the invitation.
As Michael confronted Jax about helping Sonny, Olivia showed up and diffused the discussion. Jax admitted he was having second thoughts about helping to bring down Sonny. Jax told Olivia he realizes now that this will destroy his relationship with Michael.
Kristina apologized to Kiefer for the other day. He said he had other plans and wondered if they should continue dating. He said she was still a kid. "I'm old enough to sleep with you," she pointed out. Kiefer said Kristina wasn't ready for a relationship. Upset, Kristina called Sam for advice. Sam came home and Krissy begged Sam to take her shopping for some "adult" clothes. Sam said that Kiefer should not be making Kristina feel bad about herself. Molly entered and wanted to go shopping with them but Kristina said no. Sam tried to convince Kristina not to make the same mistakes that she made with men over the years.
Carly came home to find Olivia there. Olivia apologized again to Carly and asked if they could try and be friends again. Carly pointed out she doesn't have many friends and agreed. Lulu arrived to help Carly with the christening napkins and wanted to confide in her about Dominic but realized that she couldn't.
Later, Dominic stopped by Olivia's to kvetch about his guilt and Olivia noticed that the thing Dom was the most concerned about was Lulu's reaction. Olivia was thrilled to see her son interested in a girl.
Johnny asked Spinelli for help in finding out how Claudia's murder investigation was going. Spinelli covered that he was actually investigating Dominic. Afterward, Johnny stopped by Olivia's and noted that she was too upbeat, considering what was going on. Olivia said she had Dante removed from the case. Johnny accused Olivia of betraying her own son.
Jason quizzed Sonny's staff about Dominic's behavior. Everyone pointed out what a nice guy Dominic was. When Jason asked how helpful he had been, the housekeeper volunteered that he "even cleaned out the fireplace" shortly after Claudia disappeared. "Gotcha," Jason thought.
Thursday
Elizabeth wandered around the Hub in a daze, hearing imaginary whispers accusing her of "sleeping around." Just as Nikolas arrived, she suddenly screamed out: "Yes! I had an affair with Nikolas Cassadine!" stunning everyone. She babbled about the showdown with Lucky, then ran off, telling Nik she was glad everyone knows now. He urged her to take a vacation. "I have to stay here, and I have to face it," she insisted. Luke offered to kill Nikolas or Elizabeth and take the fall if Lucky decides someone needs to die. Lucky appreciated the gesture, but doesn't plan to kill anyone. Lucky said he believed his mother's stories about their family being happy — but now he knows love doesn't last forever. He apologized for judging his father's marriage. Luke suggested that Lucky should thank Laura for instilling a sense of belief in him. Tracy went to The Haunted Star looking for Luke, but found Ethan, and realized he feels neglected amid Lucky's drama. Later, when Luke returned, she told him about Ethan. Ethan ran into Lucky at the pier and offered to help however he can — even being Lucky's designated driver. Then Elizabeth walked up, wanting to talk, but he wasn't interested, and left. Liz told Ethan that the kids want to see Lucky.
Johnny boggled that Olivia got Dante pulled from the case. She said she did it to save his life. Johnny pointed out that Sonny also gets to walk. She admitted she still has feelings for Sonny, but the feds can still chase him without Dante. Johnny declared, "I'm done" and walked out. Carly told Lulu that being with a mobster is tough, but in the end she's always had the backs of the people she loves: "No matter what happens, you stand by your man." Lulu noted that Sonny wants Dominic to take over for him. Carly said that would be a game-changer. Later, Jax was telling Michael to keep quiet about the Sonny investigation when Carly interrupted, seeking help with christening preparations. She wants the ceremony to mark a new happy chapter. As she played with Josslyn, Jax got a call from Agent Rayner saying the warrant for Sonny's arrest was issued.
Sonny walked in on Dominic and Jason going through his desk. Jason sent Dom away with paperwork, so Sonny could ask about Jason's probe into Dominic. Jason said he has no proof, only suspicions — such as Dominic taking out the fireplace ashes the morning after Claudia disappeared. Sonny noted that Dom reminds him of himself. They decided Michael must have accused Dom out of jealousy. Suddenly, Spinelli burst in with news: He found a warrant for Sonny's arrest based on a fragment of shirt discovered in fireplace ashes retrieved by an unnamed undercover cop in Sonny's employ. Sonny felt bad for not believing Michael, and declared, "Dominic has to die." Dante returned to his room to find Lulu waiting. She informed him that she has no intention of letting him push her out his life. She can handle it when the ugly truth comes out. "I'm in this for the long haul," she declared. "I'm honored that you would choose to stand by me," he replied. They kissed — but were interrupted by a visit from Ronnie, who announced that they got the warrant! Dante insisted they not bust Sonny until after the christening. Ronnie was irate, but Dante wanted the family to have one last happy moment. Lulu went to the church, where she found Olivia praying for her son. "I hope that God watches over him," Lulu said. They clasped hands. Jason told Sonny they have to be sure taking out Dominic looks like an accident. He suggested staging a car crash over a cliff. Sonny said he will send Dominic on an errand and have someone else shoot out his tires; Jason and Sonny will attend the christening as their alibi.
Friday
As Morgan flipped through Josslyn’s christening gifts, Lady Jane arrived
just in time for the festivities. Lady Jane then gave Carly and Jax a tree
to be planted for Joss. After Carly left to run a quick errand, Lady Jane
asked Jax what was wrong. He told his mother that he was afraid his perfect
life would come crashing down. “What have you done now,” Lady Jane asked.
Jax opened up about his role in Sonny’s impending downfall. Lady Jane feared
that Carly might not ever forgive Jax.
Lulu asked Lucky to attend the christening. He didn’t think it was a good
idea. Lulu begged him, stating she had a bad feeling about the day.
Meanwhile, Dominic told Ronnie that he didn’t want to bust Sonny until after
the christening was over. Ronnie wondered if Dom planned to warn Sonny ahead
of time. Dominic was insulted.
Jason arrived at Sonny’s and said everything was in place. Just then, Olivia
showed up and made Sonny and Jason promise that the day would go off without
a hitch. Carly then arrived and Olivia gave them time to talk. Carly asked
Sonny to help her keep peace. Sonny commented that today was the day to
“dump the garbage by the side of the road.”
Dominic went to see Lulu. She reaffirmed her commitment to him, then was off
to see Luke to convince him to go to the christening. Before she left,
Dominic pulled Lulu into a passionate kiss.
Elizabeth went to The Haunted Star and apologized to Luke for all she’s
done. Liz was touched when Luke accepted her apology and pointed out all the
good things she has done for Lucky. Just then, Lulu walked in and caught
them together. Liz made a hasty exit. Lulu was angry that Luke was
compassionate with Liz. Luke warned his daughter about being judgmental.
Lucky was the first to arrive at the church. He then had a chat with the man
upstairs and asked what he did to deserve what was happening to him. Jason
arrived and told Lucky that Carly will be glad he decided to attend. Lucky
then mentioned that he didn’t know what was going to happen regarding Jake.
Carly returned home to find Jax watching over their sleeping baby. Carly
told Jax she loved him and they embraced. Afterward, Michael asked Jax what
he was doing to keep Sonny from being busted. Jax said these things take
time. As the family prepared to leave, Michael brought in another gift for
Josslyn and put it in the pile.
Dominic stopped by to see Olivia when he got a call from Sonny asking him to
come to the house. She mentioned that she saw Sonny earlier and he seemed
tense. Dom arrived at Sonny’s and was wary with him. Sonny then gave Dom a
bogus assignment but Dominic saw right through it.
Maxie and Spinelli arrived at the church. Maxie mentioned that Lulu and
Dominic are head over heels for each other. Lulu arrived and thanked
Lucky for attending, Just then, Ethan showed up and offered support to his
sibs. Patrick and Robin then came, followed by Johnny. Carly thanked him for
coming. Olivia entered next and asked Johnny if they were speaking. She
noted that neither Sonny nor Dominic were there yet. Jax said they couldn’t
wait any longer and needed to start the ceremony. Lulu was worried.
Back at Sonny’s, Dom pulled out his badge and arrested Sonny for Claudia’s
murder. Sonny bit his lip and nodded his head. Then, Sonny pulled a gun from
his jacket. “You don't want to do this,” Dominic stated. “Yes, I do.” Sonny
replied. As the christening proceeded, Dominic told Sonny why he was after
him ‹ because Sonny killed his mentor. Dom said he despised Sonny. As
Josslyn was baptized, Sonny pulled the trigger and shot Dominic. “Good-bye,
detective,” Sonny said. After Dominic fell to the
ground, Olivia rushed in and screamed, “My God, Sonny! You shot your own
son!”
