General Hospital Recaps

GH Week of July 12, 2010

Monday

Robin tried to get frisky with Patrick in the hospital supply closet, but he didn't seem to be that into it. She whispered something in his ear and suggested that they do that act again. He wanted their first time together since she was back to be more romantic. She locked the door and refused to take no for an answer. Patrick agreed to meet her at home.... Lisa watched as Patrick left and wondered what was going on. Steven said that he was happy for them. Later, Patrick and Robin met up at home, where he gave her a dozen roses and chocolates. He told her how much he'd missed her and how much she'd changed his life. They kissed passionately and she led him into their bedroom, where they finally hit the sheets. Meanwhile, Lisa called Patrick and complained when he didn't pick up. Steven came by and offered to get another neurosurgeon to work with her.

At the park, Jax became upset as Franco hovered over Josslyn and gave her a little monkey wind-up doll. Jax demanded that he leave, but Franco wouldn't budge. Jax called the cops. Franco took his monkey doll and left, but promised Josslyn that he'd see her later. "Say hi to your mom for me," he told the tot.

Dante informed Jason, Spinelli and Sam that Franco was spotted in the park. Dante hurried to the park, where Jax was protectively holding Josslyn. He shared that Franco hadn't threatened the little girl, but was concerned about Franco's fixation on his daughter. Dante returned to the station and told Mac that Franco seems to be targeting people connected to Jason somehow. Mac wished that they could tie Jason to a pole in the center of town and leave him as a bait.

Michael came to see Sonny and found him talking to Claire. Sonny implored her to make sure that Michael doesn't go to jail again. Claire agreed to turn a blind eye to Michael's visit, but made him promise not to see his father again. Michael promised; Sonny thanked Claire for helping him out.... Lucky questioned Johnny about the car bomb and whether Sonny had been involved. Johnny replied that Sonny was worried about him hanging out with Kristina. Lucky implored him to tell him everything he remembered. Johnny recalled how he'd offered to take Kristina home and noticed something funny underneath the car -- and that fortunately, they got out in time. Next, Lucky questioned Ethan about the night of the explosion. Ethan thought that he was lucky that he hadn't been there at the time. Lucky suspected that Sonny had warned Luke beforehand to make sure that Ethan was out of the way.

Jason went to see Sonny and said that he thought Sonny was handling Johnny in the right away. Jason reminded him that it wasn't Sonny's fault that Kristina was there when the bomb went off. Sonny regretted thinking like a businessman instead of a father. Jason reminded Sonny that he gave Michael Sonny's name because Sonny was the person who'd changed his life. "You taught me how to be a man. You were like a father to me," Jason stated. "I know you're a good father." Sonny wished that Dante could love him, but Jason didn't think that Dante would ever trust him. Sonny wasn't ready to give up on his son. Sonny then admitted that he kind of likes Claire, despite her wanting to send him to prison. Sonny urged Jason to get rid of Franco because he was a distraction.

Franco returned to the old house and placed the little monkey doll next to the bigger one. He the grabbed some spray paint and sprayed a bunch of CO77Xs all over the place.... Jason returned to Sam and Spinelli. Spinelli did some research online and found the old mansion that was in Franco's mom's name. Dante arrived and told Jason how Franco had approached Jax and Josslyn in the park. Jason informed him of the abandoned mansion. He and Jason went to check it out. Spinelli worried that Dante was overconfident. Lulu overheard Spin mention "revenge" and wondered who it was against.

Claire returned to Sonny's restaurant, where he had a romantic table set up for dinner. He again thanked her for giving Michael a second chance and said he wanted to show his appreciation. He poured some wine for her and invited her to ask him anything personal. "Without your attorney present?" she cracked. She asked what he'd spend his last day on Earth doing. He replied that he'd take his four kids to a Yankees game. Claire said that she envied him. Just then, Johnny stopped in the restaurant and was angry to see Claire getting so cozy with Sonny. Claire agreed that she shouldn't be socializing with Corinthos and left... Lucky planned to get Sonny to confess about the car bomb.

Tuesday

Nikolas brought Shirley flowers at the hospital. She told him that she has no intention of dying now that she's had her surgery. Nik shared that he's going to be Elizabeth's birth coach. Shirley was thrilled. Liz overheard the exchange from the hallway, then joined them. Shirley asked what gender the baby was going to be, but Nikolas said that they wanted to be surprised. She thanked them both for helping her and praised Patrick's work as a surgeon. She looked forward to meeting the baby. Later, Helena approached Liz to discuss the baby, but Liz didn't want Helena to be involved in the baby's life. Liz warned her to watch out if she tries messing with her child. Liz then told Nik about Helena and he promised to keep his grandmother from harassing her.

Alexis asked Sam for advice on setting limits for Kristina. Sam pointed out that Kristina still needed time to heal from everything that Kiefer did to her. Just then, Kristina returned home and stated that though she hates her parents' new rules, she's going to follow them. Kris acknowledged that she screwed up and apologized for her behavior. Still, she wasn't ready to make amends with Sonny. Sam was impressed that her sister was willing to admit that she'd been wrong. Sam left and Kristina concluded that Alexis had called Sam for backup. Alexis admitted it. Kristina promised to get back on track. Alexis arranged for Kris to have a new study partner, a girl named Taylor. However, Taylor turned out to be a good-looking guy. He joked about how a lot of people think he's a girl because Taylor Swift is so popular. Alexis wasn't pleased, but Kristina assured her that she could study with a guy. Later, they studied history together. Taylor asked what the high school was like and she replied that it wasn't too bad. He called her a genius and fired another question at her. When he reached around to grab a book, she imagined that it was Kiefer's arm coming around to slap her and freaked out.

At Jason's, Lulu asked who Spinelli was planning to get revenge on. He replied that it was Matt. Lulu explained that Maxie is using Matt to make Spin jealous so that she could snap Spinelli out of his funk. She urged him to focus on Maxie and make things go back to normal. Spin still wanted to get his revenge, but Lulu thought that he was above concocting a revenge scheme. Carly arrived and asked what they were talking about. He told her about Matt kissing Maxie. Lulu again stated that the kiss didn't mean anything and that Maxie loves him. Carly suggested that he take Lulu's advice. After Lulu left, Carly praised Spinelli for being such a good liar to Lulu. Spin wanted Dante to suffer for the pain he caused Michael. He was arranging to have money put from a drug cartel in Dante's bank account. Carly loved the plan. Sam interrupted and told them that whatever they're up to needs to stop. Carly became annoyed; Sam explained that she just wanted time to have Jason to herself. Carly left Jason's place, but Sam had to prod Spin to leave. Sam sat and waited for Jason to come home.

Tracy met up with Brook Lynn and asked why her granddaughter was back in town, and if she was in trouble. Brook explained that she was there to see friends and family and wasn't after Tracy's money. Tracy didn't buy it, noting that both of Brook's parents had cut her off financially. She suspected that Brook was up to something and warned that she'd be watching her granddaughter closely.

An armed Dante and Jason busted into the old mansion searching for Franco, but didn't find anything.... Franco went to Jake's for a drink. Coleman introduced himself. Franco asked if he ever had live music at the bar and plunked down a huge wad of bills. He asked if Coleman could book a special performance artist for him. Coleman agreed.... Jax warned Carly about Franco coming up to him and Josslyn in the park. Carly and Jax began to bond, but were interrupted by Skye.

Ethan went to the hospital and told Bobbie that he needed stitches. She asked Maya to take care of him. They flirted and he shared that he cut himself when he fell off the roof. Maya suddenly bolted and said that she couldn't tend to him.

Maxie and Matt went to Jake's together and had a good time as they discussed their favorite types of music. He told her that he enjoyed having a nice conversation with her, but wanted to know what was really going on with her. Maxie confessed that she's not sure if she knows how to be really happy. He understood. Lulu interrupted, warning that Spin was angry about Matt.

Maya arrived at Jake's and asked for a beer. She wondered if Coleman's a reckless guy, the kind who likes to take risks. He replied that guys like that usually die young. Maya stated that she needs someone dependable, but Coleman didn't think it was Maya's style.

Everyone gathered at Jake's for the musical act. Meanwhile, Franco paid Sam a visit at Jason's.

Wednesday

Sonny went to the station. There, he joked with Claire that she didn't have to go to so much trouble to see him. Sonny assured Claire that he doesn't want to complicate her life. She noted that Lucky went to see an explosives expert in Argentina and warned that if Sonny is trying to flirt with her to cover up putting the bomb in Johnny's car, he was going to be in trouble. Sonny declared his innocence and believed that Claire was starting to like him. Claire suspected that he put the bomb in the car, but Sonny replied that he's going to do whatever it takes to get what he wants.

At Jake's everyone enjoyed the musical act that was set up by Franco. Dante and Jason noted that the man was singing "Route 66." After, they asked if Franco told him to sing it. Lulu joined them and they pondered the meaning of the number 66. They then questioned Coleman and he revealed that the guy who recommended the musical act had brown hair and a lot of cash.

Maya sat down for a drink with Ethan at Jake's. He asked why she's so determined to hate him; she replied that he reminds her of an old boyfriend, who was a big risk taker and who'd died in an accident.... Johnny sat down with Brook Lynn and they discussed music.... Matt prodded Maxie to open up to him. Maxie replied that she wants to work things out with Spinelli. Matt asked if she felt as if she didn't deserve Spin. She answered that she feels like she needs more than he can give her, like more danger. Matt stated that a girl like Maxie could really get to him. Later, Brook Lynn took the stage at Jake's and sang "Right Now" by Carrie Underwood. The crowd went wild, especially the guys. However, Maxie rolled her eyes.

Meanwhile, Franco paid Sam a visit at Jason's. He sat down and started to put out some Chinese takeout. Sam warned that Jason would kill him, but Franco wasn't fazed. He apologized to her, but she held a gun on him and demanded that he leave. Franco noted that if Jason killed him, Jason would be back in jail. Sam again shouted at him to leave; he finally left, asking her to tell Jason that he'd make it easy for him.

At Metro Court, Carly asked Jax if he wanted to be with her or Skye. Skye went on about how they had an important project to work on. Michael arrived and Carly left to spend some time with her son. Skye advised Jax not to make it too easy for Carly to win him back. Carly admitted to Michael that she doesn't want to lose Jax. Michael acknowledged that Jax is a great father to Morgan and Josslyn and wanted his mom to be happy.... Jax told Skye how much he loves Carly. Skye was visibly disappointed. Later, Carly and Michael walked over to Skye and Jax's table and Carly invited herself along to an outing with Jax and the boys. After, a pleased Jax thanked Skye for helping him out.

Taylor apologized to Kristina for freaking her out. She told Alexis that she wants a new study partner. After Taylor left, Kris called herself a freak and filled her mom in about how she'd imagined Kiefer hitting her. Alexis promised that her daughter would get through this. Kris apologized for spending time with Johnny and told her mom that she loves her. Awww. After, Kris called Taylor and asked if they could study together again. He agreed.

Sonny returned home and consulted his associate about Lucky tracking down the bomb guy. The associate assured him that the bomb wouldn't be traced back to Sonny. Later, Claire went to Sonny's restaurant and told him to stop trying to charm her. Sonny kissed her; she responded, but then pushed him away.

Jason came home and Sam told him about Franco's visit. She regretted not killing Franco when she'd had the chance. Jason said that they needed to wait for Franco to make the next move. They wondered what "66" meant. Jason didn't know.... Franco thanked the singer for performing at Jake's. He told the singer that together they're going to raise the dead.

Helena approached Nikolas in the hospital; he demanded that she stay away from him and Elizabeth. Helena wasn't pleased. Later, Nik took Liz and her sons out for dinner. He invited them all for a playdate with Spencer. After he left, Liz clutched her stomach, looking concerned.

Thursday

Elizabeth and Nikolas arranged a play date for their boys. He wondered if Liz was feeling okay, but she said that she was fine. He and the boys left to go to the stables, but she stayed behind. The guys returned and Liz asked Nik to take her to the hospital. He rushed her there and Liz kept insisting that she was okay.

At the station, Claire accused Sonny of kissing her without his consent. Lucky explained that he'd called Sonny in for questioning. Lucky vowed to prove that Sonny was the one who'd planted the bomb in Johnny's car. Sonny asked when Lucky decided to turn against him. Lucky replied that he can't look the other way when mobsters start blowing each other up. Sonny denied being involved, but Lucky warned that they'd catch whoever was responsible. "I like you," Lucky reminded him. "But I am a cop and you're the Crime Lord of Port Charles." Later, Lucky quizzed Claire about her growing "friendship" with Sonny, but she insisted that this was just part of her plan to bait Corinthos. She vowed to bring him down, but Lucky was concerned that she'd end up wanting to protect Sonny. Lucky then proposed a bet: dinner on him if Claire managed to bust Sonny and make it stick. She accepted.

Jax gave Skye a beautiful bracelet as part of his ploy to make Carly jealous. Maya noticed and was impressed with the jewelry. After Jax stepped away, Maya asked if Skye was still in love with him. Skye admitted that she does have feelings for him.

At Jason's, Sam and Jason enjoyed spending time together. Jason was determined to find Franco and couldn't wait until they could be free of him. Jason gave Sam a gun for protection, then left Spinelli a message about Franco. Maxie soon arrived and asked Jason for relationship advice on Spin. She stated that Spin deserves better than her, but Jason thought that was up to Spinelli to decide. Spin soon arrived and Maxie asked how he'd feel about her going to see a show with Matt. Spin coldly said that he can't answer her. She asked if this meant that she was officially free; he answered that it's clear that her feelings for him have changed. Maxie left and Spin struggled to hold back his tears. Later, the guys continued their research on Franco. Carly stopped by and asked to speak with Jason. She wasn't sure if getting back together with Jax was a good idea or not. Spin filled her in on his breakup and Carly felt badly for him. Spin told her that if Jax loves her, he'll be waiting -- and that if she loves him, she shouldn't make Jax wait.

Dante heard a noise in his home and instinctively raised his gun. It was just Michael, getting water. Lulu joked that it was like being on a cop show, but admitted that he'd overreacted. He didn't want Lulu to go to work until Franco was caught, but she didn't want fear to run her life. He decided to go to Crimson with her.

At Crimson, Maxie was surprised to see Dante with Lulu. He promised to not get in the way. Maxie then revealed that she and Spinelli are over. Lulu insisted to her boyfriend that they're fine without him. He left, but made her promise to be careful.... Dante went to Jason's to deal with Franco business. Carly and Spin exchanged a meaningful glance when Dante arrived.... Maxie discussed her breakup with Lulu. Lulu was surprised when Maxie mentioned her kiss with Lucky and told her friend to leave her brother alone. Maxie became annoyed and left to talk to Robin instead. Now Lulu was in the office by herself. She stiffened when she heard a noise.... Maxie went to the hospital to see Robin. Lucky called and asked her to stop by the station. First, Maxie told Robin about her man problems, but Robin couldn't talk because she was busy with Elizabeth.

Nikolas kept Liz company in her hospital room. Steven joined them and Liz was grateful to have so many people looking out for her. Nik promised to keep taking care of her.

Jax waited for Carly and the kids at Metro Court. Sonny arrived and Jax accused him of putting his kids in danger. Sonny then accused Jax of trying to steal his children. Later, Michael and Morgan arrived with Josslyn and met up with Jax. Skye encountered them and Jax introduced her to Josslyn. Carly soon joined them and took the baby from Skye. Skye could hardly hide her discomfort over seeing the family together. Sonny watched them leave from afar. Claire joined him and noted that it must've been hard to see his kids and not be able to talk to them.

Dante, Jason and Spinelli went over the clues they had on Franco and tried to determine a connection.... Lulu was busy at work at Crimson -- but was interrupted when Franco came up to her desk.

Friday

At Metro Court, Claire apologized to Sonny for witnessing a private moment. She praised him for keeping his cool as he watched Jax take his kids away for an outing. Sonny didn't want to make a scene and prove that he's a "time bomb." Claire encouraged him to leave his mobster ties behind and be a "normal guy" so he could be a good example to his kids. Sonny just laughed at her and called her naive. She concluded that he was addicted to the rush and the power, even though it affected his kids. Sonny explained that it's not that easy to leave his line of work. Claire believed that he could get out if he really wanted to. Later, Alexis invited him to spend time with her, Molly and Kristina.

Molly and Kristina went to the pool. Kris told her sister that she didn't care what the other teens thought of her because she knows that Kiefer was wrong. Molly called her brave. Kristina admitted that she doesn't understand why she chose an abusive boyfriend and wondered if she was screaming out for her father's attention. Sonny and Alexis soon arrived. Kristina actually joked around with him and told him about her new study partner, Taylor. Sonny became concerned when she mentioned that something had happened with Taylor. She clarified that Taylor was a good guy, but she'd freaked out while thinking of Kiefer. Sonny understood what she was going through. Later, Alexis got word from Kiefer's father that her court case was coming up sooner than she thought. He called Kristina a liar and vowed that Alexis would pay for what she did to his son.

Maxie went to the station to see Lucky. Things became akward when she mentioned their kiss from the other day. He invited her to a conert at the park, but Maxie informed him that Elizabeth was in labor. Lucky pretended not to care and again asked Maxie on a date. She agreed, then complimented Lucky's guitar playing skills. They discussed Maxie's job and he praised her for being so passionate about her work. Maxie asked if he was going to check on Elizabeth. Lucky replied that he was glad that Nikolas was the father and that he and Liz had one less tie. Maxie encouraged him to be honest with her. Lucky said that he and Liz had stopped making each other happy a long time ago and that he was clear on what he didn't want.

In the hospital, Robin tended to Liz. Robin asked how things were between Liz and Nikolas; she replied that their relationship was in a good place, but it wasn't romantic. She hoped that they could be good friends. Nikolas brought Kelly to Liz and Robin left. Nik admitted to being nervous about being the birth coach. Kelly wanted to stop the labor, if possible. Liz was concerned that her baby was in trouble, but Kelly assured her that the child was healthy. Nik confided that he was worried, but at the same time, was anxious to hold their baby. Liz asked if he could forgive her for misjudging him and blaming him for the mess she'd made with her life. He replied that she doesn't have to apologize. "We both made a lot of mistakes, but we also made a miracle," she stated. "I am so excited to raise this child with you." Nikolas agreed that he was also looking forward to it. Suddenly, Liz had pains. Kelly informed them that they couldn't stop the labor and the baby was coming. Liz asked Nikolas to be with her in the delivery room. Lucky arrived and watched Liz and Nikolas through the window of the hospital room.

Lisa approached Patrick and chastised him for not answering her messages. She accused him of avoiding her because they had sex. Patrick implored her to keep her voice down. Robin joined them and Lisa told her about how Patrick didn't seem to be interested in a case that was just right for him. Robin told him to go for it. After she stepped away, Patrick asked Lisa what she was doing. "I have no idea what you're talking about," she shrugged. Later, Robin told Patrick that she can't believe she wanted anything other than her family.

Dante, Jason and Spinelli tried to determine the significance of the number 66 for Franco. They made a list of the all of the cities mentioned in the song "Route 66". Dante suspected that the song was a trap and Franco was leading them on a wild goose chase.... Franco paid Lulu a visit at Crimson. He told her that he's disappointed in her choice of boyfriends and joked about having to kill someone to get attention. Lulu was terrified and grabbed her cell phone. He urged her to get Dante on the phone so Dante could hear her die. "I say we pose you for maximum effect so that Dante will carry that image for the rest of his life," he said. "I want to live," Lulu stated. Franco promised to kill her as painlessly as possible and offered her "immortality." She replied that she wasn't interested. He handed her an envelope and asked her to give it to Dante. "Love the shoes," he said before leaving the office. Lulu called Dante and asked him to meet her immediately. He ran to see her and she filled him in on her encounter.

Jason had Spinelli do research to see if Franco was heading to Los Angeles. One of Dante's police colleagues came by and arrested Jason.... Dante told Claire about the theory surrounding Franco and "Route 66." Lulu gave Dante the envelope from Franco.... Jason was thrown in jail..... Spinelli accused Dante of betraying people and told Lulu that Dante isn't worthy of her. Jason received photos from Franco — of his monkey dolls.... Franco made a call saying that he thought that Morgan would get a kick out of his next plan.
