Monday
Nikolas tried to teach a snarky Rebecca how to waltz, but she insisted on leading. They danced as thunder crashed ominously. Then she suddenly dashed away — leaving a shoe behind. She made it to the pier, where Ethan was waiting. She babbled about romantic waltzing being "magical," and how she felt like Emily while dancing. Ethan pointed out they want Nik to treat her like Emily, but she noted it's not easy to be objective in such a romantic setting. Back on Spoon Island, Nik told Alfred the evening was "quite a success." Nik went ashore to return her shoe, and Ethan quickly covered by confusing Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. Alone, Rebecca apologized for running off, but the evening was too perfect and felt "so right." She agreed to return Wyndemere, and they kissed. As he slipped her shoe back on, Lulu and Lucky arrived, forcing Nik and Rebecca to stammer explanations. Back on Spoon Island, Nik brought her up to the bedroom, where he admitted the dancing was magical for him, too, and he wanted to give her some of the happiness she gave him. They kissed.
As Jax pinned a struggling Michael to the living room couch, Morgan begged his brother to stop, so he doesn't upset their mother. Jax let him up, and the boys went upstairs. Carly defended Michael, but Jax was concerned the youth was getting worse, and suggested it may be better if Michael doesn't live with them, because of the stress on her. "How am I supposed to send my son away?" she wailed. Jax said Michael subconsciously feels he can lose control with her since she loves him unconditionally. She worried about giving the impression of giving up on him. She fretted that living with Sonny puts Michael back in the line of fire — and close to Claudia. Upstairs, Michael told Morgan he has brain damage and his mind doesn't work like it should, but he will get better eventually. "You're the big brother now," he told Morgan. Michael packed a bag and told Morgan he can't stay because the only way to get better is to go to Sonny's. Then he jumped out the window. Morgan went downstairs and told Carly that Michael left.
Sonny and Claudia got busy on the couch. Afterward, he insisted that should never happen again, while she encouraged him not to feel guilty. He called her "so damn treacherous." When the phone rang, Claudia answered and barked "wrong number," arousing Sonny's suspicions. In the woods, Johnny noticed a sniper's laser painting Jason's head and pushed him clear in the nick of time. Together, they got into a shoot-out with the unseen gunmen. Later, Johnny appeared in Sonny's study, and Claudia was happy to see him. She was less pleased to see Jason come in the door. Jason reported they were ambushed, and took out all but one shooter. In the woods, the lone surviving gunman limped with a bullet wound. He dialed his cell and reported "It all went south," because Johnny protected Jason. Later, at the garage, Claudia demanded an explanation why Johnny saved Jason. Johnny said Jason saved his life because Uncle Rudy's men would have killed both of them. She swore he would have been okay. Then Olivia arrived. Claudia snarked at Liv until Johnny threw his sister out. Glad to be alive, he kissed Olivia. Back at Sonny's, he and Jason were discussing the ambush when Michael arrived and asked to live there. Sonny called Carly to assure her Michael's okay. Michael apologized for running away, and she told him he can stay. Then she told Morgan his brother will come back when he's better.
Jax met Jason at the pier, and got a recap of the Michael/Carly kerfuffle. Jason said it's a bad time for Michael to move in with Sonny. Jax worried about the violence, but Jason vowed, "Michael will never get caught in the crossfire again." Back at Sonny's, Sonny told Michael he's proud, and made the right choice. Later, Carly discovered Morgan was missing. Morgan wandered in the woods until he was grabbed by the rogue gunman.
Tuesday
Nikolas and Rebecca had vigorous sex, then she dreamed about seeing him dancing with Emily — who told her that Nik will always belong to Emily. Nik later found Rebecca outside. "It feels like I'm living someone else's dream," she said. Nik promised he never thought about Emily while he was making love to Rebecca. She suggested going home because she doesn't want to rush things, but he asked her to stay because you never know how much time you have.
In the woods, the gunman held Morgan at gunpoint. Morgan identified himself and warned his captor he will be killed. "Being Sonny's son makes you a perfect hostage," he replied, adding that he grew up in Bensonhurst and hates nature. Morgan realized Jason shot the guy. Back home, Carly searched frantically, then called to tell Michael that his brother was gone. Michael suggested he and Carly enter the woods from each end and work toward the middle to find Morgan. Dom asked Morgan for help using his GPS, but the boy knew the road is a half-mile away. When Carly arrived, she was held at gunpoint, too. When Michael saw an opening he jumped the guy, but was overpowered in the fight. "You people are really starting to piss me off," he growled, even as Michael threatened his life. But the gunman didn't want hostages, he just wanted to get away. Carly talked him into lowering his gun and leaving them alone. The gunman said she should tell Sonny that he could have shot them all but chose not to. Thus, Sonny owes him — and he just might collect some day. Then he ran off. Michael admitted he did everything wrong. Carly rebuked the boys for running away, but pointed out that she loves them even when they mistakes because she is their mother and, "I love you anyway."
Andrea scolded Mayor Floyd making her protect him from himself once again. When Ric walked in, she said, "Our plan is very quickly going south." He reminded her it's her plan. Andrea said they have to make the lawsuit go away, so they should settle with Patrick and Matt, or else get Brianna's family to drop the case. Ric asked if she wants to know what really happened in the hotel room. Meanwhile, Patrick told Robin that Brianna's autopsy indicated she was not pregnant or doing drugs. Patrick summoned Maxie, who recapped that Sam followed the mayor to the gift shop and back to the room. Robin reviewed the autopsy and noticed it showed two bruises in the same spot — suggesting someone deliberately hit Brianna in the same spot to cover up a killing blow. "I think we've got a murder here," she said.
Sonny told Claudia that Michael will stay with them, and she was thrilled. Michael cautioned her that he's dangerous. Later, Sonny told Claudia he will and eliminate the person who ordered Jason ambushed. Claudia insisted Johnny is loyal. Sonny called Johnny, who was busy making out with Olivia. She answered his phone and said Johnny is "off the clock," but Sonny summoned him immediately, "with or without pants." Claudia needled Sonny about Johnny "banging that ho" Olivia. Later, Claudia intercepted Johnny and warned him to cover for her. When Sonny appeared, they feigned fighting over Olivia. Sonny demanded to know how the snipers knew to attack Jason, wondering if Johnny saw a chance to reclaim the Zacchara crew and territory. Johnny said he put his life on the line for Sonny and saved Jason. Later, Johnny went to Olivia's place and asked if his sister is right — is Olivia using him to get to close to Sonny? She was annoyed, but said when it comes to Sonny, she's "been there, done that, got the T-shirt." She doesn't hook up with married men. And if she wanted Sonny, she would say so. Meanwhile, Claudia scolded Sonny for endangering Johnny. Sonny screamed that he doesn't get along with Johnny. She pointed out that her baby will be heir to everything Corinthos and Zacchara — but Sonny countered that if Ric is the father, the baby "won't be heir to squat."He stormed upstairs, and she went outside — when the wounded gunman stumbled up. She told him he shouldn't be there, and he "thanked" her for the bullet. "Can't wait to repay the favor," he smirked.
Wednesday
Just after Robin and Patrick told Epiphany they think Brianna was murdered, Andrea "confessed" to hiring a PI to trail her errant husband. Andrea feared a full-blown scandal if the case goes to trial. She noted she once had ambitions of her own, but put them aside for the good of Garrett's career. Patrick said he was more concerned with Matt's career. Meanwhile, Epiphany informed Matt he was barred from his own office and records, which had been subpoenaed in the lawsuit. Maxie watched the drama, then tried to break into the office, Toussaint stopped her. Matt eavesdropped as Maxie spun a tale of looking to hook up with Matt. When Matt stepped in, Toussaint still refused to allow access to the office, so they strolled off. Matt apologized for roughing up Spinelli, and Maxie admitted she's trying to help him get out of an unjust lawsuit. But she still doesn't like him. He suggested she get to know him by following him on Twitter, as DrMattHunter. Later, Patrick and Robin visited the mayor to discuss Brianna's injuries. Floyd admitted that as a law-and-order candidate, an affair would bury his career. When Patrick said the autopsy pointed to murder, Floyd said he was in love with Brianna. He told them his story: He got into politics as an idealist, but after getting elected he learned politics is a dirty business and power is negotiated. The constant compromises killed something inside him — and his relationship with Andrea. Brianna saw the better man he used to be, and Floyd was ready to divorce Andrea. So if Brianna was murdered, he wants the killer found. Meanwhile, Andrea told Ric she didn't want Garrett's tawdry mistake to derail all her plans. Later, Patrick and Robin saw Andrea arguing with Matt ... and she slapped him!
Sam scolded Kristina for stealing Alexis' car and going to the club, pointing out that those moves were obvious cries for attention. Kristina insisted she just wants to help others at her own expense. When Alexis returned and mentioned the Jake's incident, Sam was really disappointed. Kristina explained she just wants to help her brother. Alexis pointed out she has to be wary because Michael has brain damage. Kristina repeated the mantra drilled into her: "Keep your eyes on the prize." Michael, meanwhile, told Jason about the gunman. Jason promised to find him, and Michael wanted to help. In fact, Michael asked Jason to teach him the business; he's always dreamed of taking over one day. Jason refused, worried about the danger. Claudia overheard Michael talking about the gunman, and went to her room, where she was hiding the man, Dominic. She tried to smother him with a pillow, but he overpowered her. He warned her that if he goes down, he will take her down along with him. When she asked how Jason survived, Dom said Johnny saved Jason, and questioned whose side Johnny is on. Claudia rushed to the garage to question her brother. Johnny pointed out that if he had survived an ambush that had killed Jason, Sonny would have killed him. Johnny told his sister to get used to being a Corinthos soldier.
Sam later found Jason at the penthouse, and ranted about Kristina and Michael. Jason worried that maybe he should take his own advice and allow Michael to chart his own path and join the "family business." Sam suggested keeping Michael out of the mob is a good idea, and Jason always has Michael's best interests at heart. Meanwhile, Kristina visited Michael to apologize, but he said he's not mad at her. But he is mad that Jason won't teach him the business. Suddenly, they heard Alexis in the house, looking for Sonny. Kristina ran upstairs to hide while Michael occupied Alexis. Claudia eavesdropped as Alexis lectured Michael about Kristina being a good kid with a bright future. Michael started getting torqued up, but Claudia burst in to defuse the situation. Claudia said she knows all about private-school good girls who rebel against overly controlling mothers and miss their fathers. Alexis said she doesn't want Kristina hanging around Claudia. Michael went to the garage and asked Johnny to teach him the business, but Johnny also balked, noting, "I'm not gonna be the reason you get shot again" — just as Jason walked in! "What do you mean 'again'?" Jason demanded. Back at Sonny's, Kristina ducked into Claudia's room and ran into a scary Dominic, who snarled at her: "Do as I say, and there'll be a quarter on your pillow in the morning."
Thursday
Andrea criticized Matt in front of everyone at the hub, until Ric pulled her off him and she stalked off. Andrea said her husband's career will be destroyed by a trial, and Robin told her settling makes Patrick and Matt look bad. Matt asked Ric to take the case, just as Diane arrived to serve them with papers. Ric told them, "I can't help you." He revealed he's leaving Port Charles because he got "an offer I can't refuse." Later, Ric told Claudia he's going to Los Angeles to take a job (a legal one), but he will check on her and the paternity of her baby. "Don't worry about me," he said, getting in the elevator. "I'll be back."
Johnny told Jason, "We're all responsible for Michael being shot." Michael warned Jason that if he won't help him join the organization, someone else will. Michael asked why Jason had a choice but he doesn't. Johnny pointed out that Jason never should have been allowed to join the mob. He said Sonny took advantage of a brain-damaged kid to create an enforcer. Michael Jason if he would choose a different life. Jason said no — but pointed out their brian injuries are different, and cutting off the Quartermaines was a big mistake. He said Michael has better choices available. Jason said Michael getting shot was his fault, and, "I will never fail you again." Later, Claudia came to the garage to ask Johnny for help with Dominic.
At Sonny's Kristina offered to forget she saw Dominic, but he begged her to fetch medical supplies, food and car keys. Claudia called Alexis a "selfish controlling bitch,"and said Michael needs Kristina and his family. Alexis said Kristina can see her brother under supervision, but Alexis did not want her near Claudia.Sonny appeared and accused Alexis of trying to keep Kristina away from him. When she she said she only wanted to keep the kids safe, he pointed out that sleeping with Jerry Jacks wasn't safe. Sonny said he kept his distance from Kristina after Michael got shot for her own good, but is concerned she doesn't understand. Kristina eavesdropped as Alexis and Sonny discussed how she doesn't want Kristina to suffer the same violent fate as Michael. Later, Kristina brought Dom the medical supplies and a sandwich, — but no car keys. Then he listened to her complain about her family woes. Downstairs, Michael and Jason arrived. Jason told Sonny about Michael wanting to learn the business. "That will never happen," Sonny declared. He ordered Jason to find the gunman, "and get rid of him." Then he told Michael he's never turning the organization over to any of his kids. Upstairs, Kristina was about to lead him out when Claudia arrived and pretended not to know him — demanding to know what he wanted with "my 16-year-old stepdaughter?"
Maxie found Spinelli embracing Mercedes in the PI office. "It's always the nanny!" she fumed. He explained it was a platonic hug, because Mercedes' undocumented cousin was the one who saw Mayor Floyd in the hotel, and Spinelli vowed to help legalize her. "I would die if I thought you were gonna be with anyone else," Maxie moaned. He noticed she called him her boyfriend. Then Patrick and Robin arrived, and Spinelli told them he uncovered Brianna's secret account, which was getting over $100,000 from the mayor — was she blackmailing him? Robin suggested bringing everything to Mac, but Maxie pointed out the police would make trouble for Spinelli — and even accuse Patrick and Robin of being accessories, since they were alone with Brianna. Diane told Alexis about Ric leaving town. Alexis feared Molly will be heartbroken.
After hearing about the gunman, Jax suggested sending Michael to a school, which horrified Carly. Later, Jason scolded Carly for not telling him about the gunman. She demanded that Jason make Michael move back home with her, or she will force him to move in with the Quartermaines.
When Johnny arrived at Sonny's, he eavesdropped as Sonny lectured Michael. "You are just a child with a brain injury" Sonny yelled, saying he shouldn't waste second chance at life "I'm a criminal," Sonny moaned, who built his house with stolen money. People fear him "because I got blood all over my hands." He said Michael will have a better life, "whether you like it or not!"
Friday
Carly insisted to Jason that the Quartermaine mansion was the safest place for Michael. When Jason related how Michael asked to learn the business, Carly was furious, and more convinced than ever that the Q's were the answer. Meanwhile, Sonny told Michael he won't risk his life again, but Michael was adamant. "I just wanna be like you," he moaned. "You will never be like me!" Sonny yelled. Sonny said when he joined the mob he was too young to know better; Michael can go to college. Michael wondered if his father was ashamed of him because he's "a retard." And he's not his biological son. "Biology means spit," Sonny spat. He nearly got weepy singing Michael's praises as a "strong, loyal, determined" kid who beat a coma. "You can have whatever you want," Sonny declared. As long as it's also what Sonny wants, Michael noted. Carly went to the Quartermaines' and announced Michael can live there. Monica was happy, but Tracy theorized that Michael was looking to cash in. Edward declared him welcome. Carly insisted on some ground rules: She always has access to Michael; no one can badmouth Sonny, Jason or her; everyone treats Michael with respect; and she can pull him at any time. Tracy wondered why Alan's children get fussed over but not hers. Tracy warned everyone that Michael is a Corinthos, not a Quartermaine. Monica feared Michael won't last. "That depends on you" Jason said. He explained about Michael's anger, and Monica related that to Jason's anger after his accident. He apologized, but she admitted she had pushed him away. Edward suggested that Jason move home with Michael.
Lulu brought Ethan to Kelly's to introduce him to Cameron and Jake. Lucky was furious: "You're a con and I'm a cop," he snarled. Lulu and Ethan left in disgust. Elizabeth noticed Jason playing with Jake before the family went inside, where Lucky called Ethan "living proof" that Luke cheated on his mother. Liz suggested Lucky is transferring his anger at her for cheating with Jason and having Jake.
Johnny visited Olivia, who blindfolded him as they kissed. Later, she invited him to stick around while she went back to work. At Sonny's, Kristina told Claudia she has no idea who Dominic is, and begged her not to tell her father. Claudia agreed to sneak Kristina out, and the girl related how she is the golden child who is expected to do no wrong. Johnny went upstairs got past the whole shooting-at-each-other thing with Dominic to sneak him out. But Dom did not want to leave town! Outside the gates, Kristina summoned Michael, who mentioned the fight with Sonny. Kristina said Sonny doesn't care about her. Michael said Alexis keeps Sonny away from her, but Kristina pointed out that if Sonny Corinthos wanted to see her, he would. Inside, Sonny told Claudia about Michael. She suggested giving him something he doesn't know he wants. Later, Johnny visited Olivia, who blindfolded him as they kissed. Afterward, she invited him to stick around while she went back to work. Later, Sonny took Michael outside to present him with a brand-new sports car — just as Carly strolled by. Michael was overwhelmed.
Robin and Patrick brought Mac and Alexis the autopsy report and explained that it pointed to murder. Spinelli mentioned the payment Brianna was receiving from Mayor Floyd, and that was enough for Mac to demand the mayor be arrested. Alexis was hesitant to rush it, but Mac wondered if she was wary about the political pressure, so she set out to get the warrants. Spinelli worried the real killer would get away. Robin told Patrick they have proved Matt was not at fault — and felt proud of herself. Kristina arrived, and told Robin she was looking for Alexis to give her a tour of her workplace for an AP class she's taking. Maxie and Spinelli returned to the PI office, where she kissed her "cerebral man of danger," and suggested celebrating solving the case. But he abruptly stopped her from unbuttoning his shirt. When Alexis returned to the police station, a news crew was waiting. When the mayor arrived, Mac arrested him oncamera. Floyd called it "an outrageous farce," proclaimed his innocence, and charged that DA Alexis cannot prosecute, because, "We were lovers!"
