GH Week of June 7, 2010

Monday

Sonny told Carly that the therapist twisted his words and reinforced Kristina's image of him as an animal. He asked if she thinks he abused her. Carly said she told Kristina their relationship was dysfunctional and toxic. "You shot me in the head once," she noted, "but accidents happen." She recalled his rages, and him calling her a "faithless whore." Looking back, she is horrified that she put up with it. "It's called abuse," she declared. Sonny admitted he has a temper, but, "You weren't the helpless type." She lied, cheated on him and even set him up with the feds. He never saw her cowering and sobbing on the floor, which he defines as abuse. She countered that it's not about bruises, and asked if he would want Kristina to be with someone who treats her the way he treated Carly? Sonny walked out. Elsewhere, Krissy told Ethan she hates rehashing her mistakes in therapy, and dealing with her parents' baggage. She dreads getting into another abusive relationship. She knew Alexis kept Sonny away, but felt like her dad didn't care for her. At least when Kiefer abused her, he was paying attention to her. Ethan suggested that maybe Kiefer was abused, and the problem was him. "You're a really decent guy," she acknowledged. Later, Sonny visited the lake house and admitted to Kristina that he has a temper, "but I know where to draw the line," he insisted. "I don't hit women." He asked to go to another session with her. "No, thank you," she replied, noting it's pointless because he doesn't think he does anything wrong. She won't let him use her therapy to make himself feel better. He left, and went to Olivia's, to ask, "Do you consider me abusive?" She related telling Dante about her punching Sonny and him resisting the urge to punch back. He wasn't abusive, but he might have changed over the years. She said what matters is what he does next. On the pier, Kristina ran into Willow and Ashton, a couple of mean girls from school who tormented Krissy until Johnny arrived and pretended to be her date.

In the visitor's room, Jason figured out Carly's revenge plan against Lulu and Dante, and demanded Spinelli send Carly to visit. Meanwhile, Carter warned Michael that if he complains to Jason, Carter will have Jason killed. Later, Jax visited, and Michael was skeptical Jax wanted him freed. Michael did not want to be swapped out for his father. Jason returned to an empty cell, and Carter pulled a knife on him. Jason easily disarmed him and demanded to know what he did to Michael. Carter promised to tell, but ran off. Michael returned to the cell, and Jason asked why Carter wants Jason dead. Michael admitted Carter gave him the bruises, and is the reason he's been acting the way he has.

While Maya traced a text for him, Lucky filled her in about the Spencer/Cassadine war, and feared Helena has Luke and Tracy captive. Johnny walked in, and Lucky warned Johnny not to use Ethan as a shield. Johnny said he doesn't want a shield, he wants to shoot back at Sonny. After Johnny left, Maya suggested Johnny awakens that part of Lucky that longs to ditch the life of law-and-order and ride shotgun with Luke. Then she got a hit on her trace.

Lulu watched as Brook and Dante laughed about this one time they were accused of "doing it." Lulu asked if they really did "it." Dante said no, and Brook said Dante is like her brother. Their families wanted them together, but it never happened. Brook mentioned all Dante's "dirty girlfriends" — dirty-minded, that is. Lulu felt insecure, so Dante called her a "goddess." Dante had some stories about Brook, too, so she retreated. Dante told Lulu he never loved any of those other girls. Brook reported in to Carly — who presented her with the keys to the loft across the hall from Dante.

Tuesday

Carly explained to Brook that she arranged the loft rental so it looks like Ned is paying. Meanwhile, as Dante and Lulu made love, she was plagued by memories of Carly telling her to picture Michael in jail when she is with Dante. She told Dante, and wondered if their happiness comes at Michael's expense. Dante admitted he feels guilty, too, but he won't rest until Michael is freed. Later, Jax told Carly that Michael asked him to stop trying to get Sonny locked up. Carly said Jax should do everything he can to take down Sonny because it will help get Michael out of jail. At Pentonville, Michael told Jason about Carter rescuing him from Frank the guard, then claiming Michael owes him. "He was basically coming on to me," Michael shuddered, noting Carter touched his hair, and Michael fled. After lockdown, Carter returned and had the cell opened. Michael fought as best he could, but Carter started choking him. Michael was about to black out when people came by, and Carter ran off.

Olivia told Sonny to change the way he deals with women. Sonny acknowledged that he has a lot of rage inside, but he's not an animal, like Kiefer. Liv pointed out there are many ways to be abusive. Then she praised him for overcoming Deke to become the man he wanted to be. (A gangster.) She pointed out the abuse has influenced his life, especially his relationships with women. Sonny kept circling back to the fact that he's never hit a woman, so he's cool. He allowed that maybe he did some things that "weren't politically correct," but that was all. He called Claudia "a lying bitch" who deserved what she got. Olivia said if he can change, it would help his kids. Sonny said he always thought seeking counseling was a sign of weakness, until he got therapy for his bipolar disease. He now knows he can't carry everything inside, and doesn't want Krissy to carry the burden of Kiefer. Dante burst in, furious to see Sonny. He called Sonny abusive because he yells at women, intimidates them, and kills people and justifies it. "Are you really that surprised that Kristina doesn't want anything to do with you?" Dante praised Olivia for keeping him away from Sonny, and wished Carly had done the same.

On the pier, Johnny apologized to Kristina for putting his arm around her without permission. Kristina said the mean girls may think Johnny is her "hot, older" boyfriend. Johnny acknowledged that his father used to hit him, so he knows that anxiety. He advised her to give herself time to heal, physically and mentally. Johnny brought Kristina home, where Sam warned him not to use Krissy as a weapon against Sonny. Johnny insisted he has morals, and was just trying to help.

Robin reported that her father, Robert, will meet her in London, on her way to Africa. Patrick and Emma had prepared a goodbye meal (which means he opened take-out containers). Robin told Emma where she's going, and promised to be back by Father's Day. Immediately after Robin departed, Lisa called to ask Patrick to scrub in on a big surgery. He begged off, citing Daddy duty — until she suggested substituting Steve. Then he promised to make it work.

Later, Sam visited Jason and told him about Johnny and Kristina. Jason confessed that there's a "situation" he has to deal with, and it might add to his sentence. She said it's okay. Meanwhile, Sonny was visiting Michael, and told him about Kristina being mixed up. Michael called Kiefer an abusive dirtbag, and suggested Krissy is taking out her feelings for Kiefer on Sonny. He urged Sonny not to give up on her. At Dante's loft, Lulu was shocked to see Brook moving in...

Wednesday

Dante brought Lulu an uber-romantic bowl of cereal, and they cuddled in bed, wishing they could shut out the world. Lulu revealed that Brook is Dante's new neighbor. Dante noted Brook is "family," and hoped he could tell her he needs space without her taking it personally. Meanwhile, Brook dropped by Sonny's for a visit (and flirted with a starry-eyed Milo). They swapped stories about Dante over bagels. As for Carly, she ran into Jax outside the gym! Apparently she does yoga. Jax and your recapper were both very surprised. Carly and Jax made small talk about their kids and work, and they clearly missed each other. Back at the loft, Lulu and Dante canoodled after a round of couch lovin' and Dante let Lulu practice swing with his Don Mattingly autographed bat. Then, a call from Maxie cut short all the half-dressed flirtiness. Later, Lulu ran into Sonny, who was amazed at her commitment to hating him. She noted it was really easy; all she had to do was look at the scar from where he shot Dante! As they went back and forth, Carly walked up. Alone, she noted Sonny was wasting his breath with Lulu and Sonny realized she was up to something. Meanwhile, back at the loft, Brook pounded on Dante's door...and she was wearing nothing but a towel!

At Pentonville, Jason and Michael's highly inadvisable public sparring
sessions continued. Michael urged Jason to find a way out of prison,
assuring him he can take care of himself. Michael then realized Jason was
planning to take out Carter and end up in solitary confinement. Jason noted Carter wouldn't stop unless he stopped him. Back in Port Chuck, Diane visited Spinelli, who was still in his Stone Cold-less funk. He told Diane he feared Maxie is "no longer into me" and explained why he thought they were drifting apart.

Lucky met up with Nikolas on the docks, noting that Luke, Tracy and Helena were all suspiciously AWOL. Nikolas suggested Lucky try searching for his father in hell. In captivity, Luke tried to comfort a sick Tracy. Helena had high hopes for Tracy not surviving, so she and Luke could continue their games. "My wife dies, so do you, bitch!" Luke snarled. At GH, Lisa was beaming over Steve's prospectus. They got their geek on about investing in a drug protocol and then Patrick rushed in, wondering about Lisa's surgery. She said she'd asked Steve to scrub in since Patrick was on daddy duty. Steve classily bowed out to do paperwork. Elsewhere, Liz found Shirley trying to shill her jewelry to a nurse. Then, Nikolas showed up, revealing he'd be gone several days and wouldn't be attending to hospital business. Liz thought a little distance was a great idea. Shirley and Nikolas bonded over his jet-setting ways. Liz was not amused. Back on the docks, Ethan and Lucky discussed the Luke/Tracy/Helena shenanigans. Ethan turned down Lucky's offer to jet "off to the Aegean," noting Luke didn't like third party interference. He urged Lucky to just stay out of this round of Spencer/Cassadine insanity. Back in their cell, Luke and Tracy continued to banter despite their dire circumstances. Tracy struggled to remember her alcohol-laced wedding to Luke...complete with a wacky newly-created flashback. At GH, Patrick and Lisa bounced out of their successful surgery, and then Patrick said he'd be interested in investing in Steve's drug. He got all crabby about going to dinner with both Lisa and Steve, though. Then, Liz said she wanted in on Steve's investment; she'd use her trust from Jason for Jake.

Thursday

A frustrated Luke could not get a response from Helena or the guards. Tracy awakened and smiled, recalling their wedding, which she fondly called "horribly tacky." Luke noted that he recalled every detail -- but Tracy had passed out during the ceremony. Luke suggested renewing their vows, even though they were in a dungeon. "I'm game," she replied. So he recited his vows, professing love for "my Spanky." She did the same -- and then collapsed, coughing. Fearing the worst, Luke promised that if she lives, there would be no more phony Las Vegas weddings: "I will marry you for real." That got her attention. "We were never married?" she demanded.

The towel-clad Brook Lynn explained to Dante that she had been in the shower when the cable guy came, so she chased him and got locked out. Lulu heard a commotion in the hall that turned out to be Dante picking Brook's lock while she stood by, wearing one of Dante's shirts. After he got Brook back into her loft, Lulu revealed she had the day off, but Dante had to go to a meeting. Later, Brook returned Dante's shirt cleaned and ironed. Lulu told Brook that she's overdoing the domestic goddess bit. Dante returned in time to hear her say, "I'm with Dante, and I'm not sharing."

Sonny was skeptical that Carly is letting Lulu off he hook for betraying the family. Carly pointed out that women in love make mistakes -- look at everything she did out of love for him. She further called sticking with him the worst decision of her entire life, and insisted the judge sent Michael to prison to punish his parents for being bad influences. In Pentonville, Jason told Michael that Carter tried to kill him, so he must be stopped. Michael was worried that Jason would get thrown in solitary, leaving Michael with a new cellmate.

At the lake house, Molly likened Michael to a romance-novel character, and mentioned the hero of the story is violent with the heroine. Kristina angrily pointed out that violence has nothing to do with romance, which upset Molly. Then Skye dropped by, and Kristina shared her frustration with the mess she's made of her life. Krissy worried about getting into another bad relationship. After Sonny and Kiefer, she doesn't think she can trust another guy as long as she lives. Later, Krissy visited Michael and confessed she let Kiefer hit her because she never had a positive male role model. Michael asked her to give dad another chance, "for me." Kristina pointed to their father's horrible temper, and the fact that if it wasn't for Sonny, Michael wouldn't even be in prison. Meanwhile, Sonny visited Jason, who said Michael has processed all the violence of the mob lifestyle that they had tried to shield him from. Sonny was suspicious of what Carly is up to, since she is avoiding Jason. Ethan answered Johnny's summons to attend a meet with the Lopez brothers. In exchange for $10,000, he agreed to act as Johnny's lieutenant. Later, Ethan ran into Skye, who asked him to be Kristina's friend.

Maxie arrived at GH to pick up Matt, and witnessed Patrick, Steve and Lisa clashing over where she should take Patrick for dinner. Lisa suggested Patrick doesn't have to go somewhere he doesn't want to go, so she should just have dinner with Steve instead. Patrick noted they are spending a lot time together -- even though Steve isn't her type. She said her tastes have matured. Maxie confronted Patrick about acting jealous. Maxie then told Matt that all players eventually cheat. Matt pointed out that Maxie is cheating.

Carly visited Johnny to ask if he is on bad terms with Dante. Krissy told Sonny that no mater what Michael claims, Sonny is abusive and will never change because he can't admit he's wrong. When Michael returned to the cell, a guard summoned Jason to the warden's office, leaving Michael alone for Carter. Michael assumed a fighting stance, which amused Carter. But then a glowering Jason returned.

Friday

Sonny told Kristina he wanted her to talk to Michael to prove Sonny is not a monster. Kristina claimed the more Sonny denies it, "the more I hate you!" She pointed out Sonny hit Claudia with words instead of fists, and on cue, clueless Sonny screamed, "Claudia was a bitch!" Kristina noted Sonny is a gangster, and just because he loves her doesn't mean the abuse is okay. He insisted he would never hit her, but she didn't believe him. He was hurt that she's taken Johnny's side. She said it's one thing to declare his love, but he never proves it. Later, Claire visited Sonny, who told her to find and excuse to bust Johnny soon, because Johnny is turning Kristina against him. Claire noted there's more than one way to be abusive, and an eye-rolling Sonny said he was tired of being lectured. He recommitted to helping her bust Johnny but if Johnny shoots first, Sonny will defend himself. Kristina returned to the lake house and told Molly how frustrated Sonny makes her. Molly thinks Sonny feels bad about Claudia, but Krissy pointed out that Michael and Jason are he ones in prison. So Krissy went to Johnny with a plan to make Sonny crazy: pretend they are dating.

When Tracy's fever broke, Luke called it a miracle, but she was skeptical that he believes in anything except money, and admitted it never occurred to her that they weren't really married. Luke claimed he told her the marriage was fake in order to get her mad enough to live, but she didn't believe him. Luke confessed he committed the cardinal sin of cons: He fell in love with the mark, in all her "poison, barbed-wire beauty." He promised they will get married for real, but she preferred to stay in the dungeon. Meanwhile, dressed in black, Lucky approached a Cassidine guard, asking -- in a jumbled fake Irish/Scottish accent -- if he was in Greece or Spain, then asked for a job. The guard pulled a gun on "Mr. Spencer," but Nikolas walked up. Lucky revealed he's looking for Luke and Tracy. Nikolas said they disappeared -- and so did Helena. Lucky said he no longer trusts his brother, but Nik balked at letting Lucky search the island, and had his brother removed.

Carly brought Johnny a housewarming gift -- a blender -- and revealed she blames Dante for putting Michael behind bars. Johnny pointed out how Dante perjured himself to protect Sonny, and later threw his brother under the bus to keep Sonny out of jail. Carly asked him to help her get revenge on Dante. Later, at the Metro Court, Steve and Lisa were enjoying themselves when Patrick entered, and she invited him to join them -- much to Steve's chagrin. When she and Patrick started talking NASCAR, Steve jumped right in -- much to Patrick's chagrin. When Carly arrived, Patrick invited her to join them. Lisa expressed her sympathies to Carly and revealed that the jury was hung. Lisa suggested a nightcap, which was Patrick's cue to leave.

At the loft, Lulu lectured Brook about coming on to Dante -- who eavesdropped with a smile on his face -- telling her to call first, and wear clothes when visiting. After Brook was sent packing, a flattered Dante kissed Lulu. Dante noted he and Brook are practically family. The lawyer he consulted suggested Michael didn't understand what was happening because of his brain damage. Later, Dante opened the mail, and discovered a photograph of what looked like a dead body.

At Pentonville, Carter told Jason that his power on the outside doesn't translate on the inside. Jason told Michael he is shutting down Carter. Jason went to the showers, but Carter got the drop on him with a knife. They fought until Jason got the upper hand, and stabbed Carter, who gasped, "Franco says, ‘Hi.'"
