GH Week of March 22, 2010
Monday
At the lake house, Ethan confronted Kristina about her accusation. "You're ruining my life to punish me?" Ethan huffed. Just then, Sam burst in and called the police. Ethan begged Krissy to tell the truth but all she could do is cry. Ethan ran out of the house.
Diane told the court that Sonny did kill Claudia — while defending Carly and the baby — during her opening argument. Jurors Alice, Lisa and Coleman listened intently. Claire called Mayor Floyd to the stand. After his testimony, the judge declared a recess and summoned the attorneys into his chambers.
Dante and Lulu kissed on the couch but he pulled back in order to find a condom. Dante found some in one of his moving boxes. "Victory!" he exclaimed. As they got back to kissing, his cell phone rang. Dante was summoned to court.
At Shadybrook, Lucky visited Elizabeth at her request to tell him the paternity test results. Lucky said he already knew. Liz told Lucky that she and Nik will never be together. Liz also acknowledged that she knows Lucky doesn't want to be with her. Lucky vowed to do what was best for the kids and left. Later, Nikolas brought Spencer by, who had questions about the new baby. Liz put his hand on her stomach. "I can feel the baby!" the child exclaimed.
At the penthouse, Carly also doubted Kristina's story. Carly then went by the lake house with a basket of junk food. "Thanks for treating me like I'm normal," Kristina replied. Carly opened up about her own troubled past, as they shared some cookies. Carly stressed that no matter how bad someone screws up, it's never too late to do the right thing. Kristina then started talking about Ethan. Carly mentioned how telling lies can get out of hand and she need not fear, because no matter what Krissy did, everyone will still love her. Kristina started to waver.
At G.H., Monica told Maxie that her blood pressure was dangerously low and she needed to avoid stress. Maxie put on a strong face for her worried family. Spinelli left to run an errand and Mac told Maxie that he knows she'll pull through. A worried Robin started to cry in the hall. Patrick was there to comfort her. Mac admitted to Maxie that he's a little jealous of Spinelli. Maxie countered that her love for Mac will never change. Spinelli returned with his laptop, and a computerized collage with pictures of the two of them. Maxie laughed and cried as she watched the presentation. Maxie then fell asleep and dreamed she was walking a red carpet with Spinelli and she kissed him in front of the paparazzi.
At The Haunted Star, Lucky chastised Ethan for breaking his restraining order. Lucky was furious and ordered Ethan to come with him. He brought Ethan to the police station, where Alexis, Tracy and Sam were waiting. Tracy went into the interrogation room with Ethan and called him a fool. Tracy then vowed that if Ethan is guilty, she'll never forgive him — or herself.
Just as Carly was making headway with Kristina, Alexis burst in and asked Carly what she was doing there.... As Sonny's trial resumed, Dante entered the court and was called to the stand.
Tuesday
Luke returned from his trip and met with Ethan at the PCPD. "Aren't you even curious if I did it?" Ethan asked his father. Luke pointed out that he'd witnessed their earlier confrontation at the casino, and stated if Ethan is innocent, he'll stand by his son. Ethan noted he shouldn't have gotten involved. Luke assured him he did the right thing, but he shouldn't have violated the restraining order. Luke advised Ethan to stay put and prove his innocence.
Jason shared his doubts about Kristina's story with Lucky. He even confessed that Alexis covered for Kristina when it came to Claudia's accident last year.
At the lake house, Alexis interrupted Carly and Kristina's talk. Kristina grew upset and ran out of the room. Alexis blamed Carly, and Carly blurted out that Krissy was lying. Alexis didn't believe a word Carly said and asked her to leave. Later, Jax came by to comfort Alexis, who was feeling terrible about what happened to Kristina and wondered what she could have done to prevent it.
In court, Dante began his testimony. Claire immediately brought up the shooting and the judge asked Dante who shot him in the chest. Dante stuck to his previous story, but Claire pointed out that father and son were unaware of their connection until after the shooting occurred. Dante then shared his evidence with the court. Claire asked if he thought there was a witness to the crime. Sonny ordered Diane to get Claire off that line of questioning. Dante tried to avoid mentioning Michael, but the judge asked him directly and Dante answered truthfully. Dante was dismissed and he immediately bolted from the courtroom. "I think I just ruined my brother's life," Dante told Lulu. Once adjourned, Diane remained optimistic, but she pointed out that if Michael is in hiding, it makes Sonny look guilty. On the way out, Mayor Floyd told Alice and Coleman to lock Sonny up and throw away the key. "Shame on you, Mayor," chastised Lisa. Later, Dante told Claire they needed to talk. Claire replied that she's not the one who threw Michael under the bus — he is.
B
At G.H., Robin continued to feel bad for Maxie's predicament and vented to Patrick. He suggested they take Maxie's advice and live each day to his fullest. Patrick asked Robin to meet him in the park in an hour and a half. Just then, Lucky showed up to ask them, and Epiphany, some questions about Kristina. Patrick said that Ethan seemed agitated that night and admitted that, off the record, he believed Ethan did it. Later, Robin followed the trial on the Internet, then realized she was late for Patrick's surprise. Meanwhile, Lisa ventured through the park and came across Patrick, who'd prepared a gourmet meal for his wife. Lisa unloaded about the rigors of the trial. Robin arrived and found Patrick with his ex.
Johnny received his summons to appear in court. Johnny lost his cool, just as Olivia rushed in and asked what was the matter. Johnny was furious that Sonny killed his sister and he'd have to face "the bastard" in court. Liv countered that karma was at work, as Sonny was going through his own personal hell, too.
Lucky went to the lake house to talk to Kristina. She asked if he was mad at her but Lucky assured the girl he was not. Krissy said she just wanted the whole ordeal to be over. "Who did this to you, Kristina?" Lucky gently asked.... Carly went to Jason and said she believes Kristina is lying.... Sonny went home and found Luke waiting for him.
Wednesday
At Casa de Corinthos, Luke told Sonny that what happened to Kristina was awful, but Ethan did not do it. Luke said he believed his son, and Sonny countered that his daughter had no reason to lie. Luke didn't accuse Kristina of lying: he said maybe she's just confused. Luke offered to help Sonny find the true culprit but Sonny said they already had. "Ethan is innocent," Luke insisted. "Don't you touch my son." Then, Luke walked out.
Lulu visited Ethan at the PCPD, and mentioned that Ethan was a lot like their father. Ethan demanded to know what the big secret of Luke's was that nobody would share. "Our dad raped my mom," Lulu revealed. Ethan was stunned. Lulu then pointed out that he and Luke are very much alike, which is why she can believe he went after Kristina. With that, Lulu got up and walked out.
In an empty courtroom, Claire accused Dante of not knowing what side he's on. He then chastised Claire for dragging Michael, a kid, into the proceedings. Claire pointed out that Dante lied about Sonny shooting him, and he can't be trusted to be impartial. Afterward, Dante met with Lulu at Jake's, where he and Coleman tried not to talk about the case. Lulu told Dante she wondered if Ethan was a chip off the old block. Dante countered by asking her if that means he's like his father. Lulu assured Dante that he's not like Sonny. Dante thanked Lulu for being in his life.
At the penthouse, Carly discussed her theory with Jason that Kiefer was the actual culprit. Carly cited Kiefer's past bullying behavior with Michael and Morgan and bet Jason "a million bucks" that he's the guilty party. Carly suggested calling Lucky but Jason advised her not to get involved.
At the lake house, Lucky tried to get the truth out of Kristina as Kiefer watched through the window. She cried that she just wanted the whole matter to go away. Lucky said he was there if she needed to talk. After Lucky left, Kiefer knocked. Kristina let him in and felt bad about Ethan being arrested. The comment angered Kiefer, but Sonny's arrival prompted Kiefer to leave. Sonny asked Kristina what he could do to help. She asked her father not to go after Ethan. Kristina cried that she just wants everything to be over with. Sonny told Krissy that she sounded like his mother, Adela, when she was abused. Sonny held his daughter as she cried.
At the park, Robin showed up and tried to sway Lisa's opinion of Sonny, which annoyed Patrick. Lisa made a hasty getaway, and Patrick asked if they could not talk about Sonny. He also mentioned that the soup was cold because Robin was late. Patrick admitted his feelings for Sonny changed after he shot Dante, and stated that he doesn't want Robin close to him because the people in Sonny's life get hurt. Robin told Patrick she loves Sonny and he's a good friend. They agreed to disagree, then kissed and shared a toast.
At Metro Court, Jax asked Carly why she meddled with Kristina. The couple continued bickering when it came to the missing Michael, as well.
At The Haunted Star, Lucky spoke with Luke and told him Nikolas was the father of Elizabeth's baby. Lucky claimed he was relieved. Luke then told Lucky that he believed Ethan, but was worried about what Sonny might do. Lucky then admitted that there was a hole in the timeline of Kristina's story.
Sam stopped by to visit Kristina. She begged Sam to talk to Alexis and ask her to have the charges against Ethan dropped. Sam reluctantly agreed, then painted Krissy's nails and offered to do her hair. Kristina thanked Sam for being on her side.
Sonny met with Jason and told him he wants justice where Kristina is concerned.
Thursday
At Kelly's, Alexis implored Lucky and Dante not to let Luke whisk Ethan out of the country. Lucky pointed out he's done everything by the book.
Diane visited Sonny to discuss the case. She was worried about Johnny's and Maxie's testimony. Sonny said he was too preoccupied with Kristina and demanded vengeance against Ethan. Diane agreed that Ethan needed to pay but right now, Sonny needed to focus on his trial.
At the penthouse, Sam told Jason that Kristina doesn't want to press charges against Ethan. Sam confessed that the situation brought back bad memories for her. Sam realized that she needed to act in Krissy's best interests, not her own. Sam then went to Alexis with Kristina's request to drop the charges against Ethan. Alexis was stunned by Sam's request and refused. However, she later considered Kristina's wishes.
At the PCPD, Luke brought Ethan some coffee. Ethan immediately asked his father about the rape. Luke said he'd talk about it only once, and admitted that his abusive childhood caused a desperate, drunk Luke to harm the woman he loved.
On the island, Max and Milo agreed that they enjoyed this latest assignment. Michael sneaked away and called Kristina. She told him about the beating. An angry Michael stated that he was coming home. "Hang in there," he advised. Michael went to the guys and said he needed to go home. Just then, Carly entered and told Michael that he can not go home just yet. She filled him in on his sister's beating. Michael believed that Kiefer was the true culprit. Carly agreed but insisted that Krissy needed to work this out for herself.
At the garage, Olivia and Johnny went over his testimony. They kissed, but Johnny couldn't get his mind off of Claudia. Johnny believed that karma would take care of Sonny. Olivia warned Johnny about the fine line between justice and vengeance.
Luke went back to Sonny's to re-iterate that Ethan was innocent and that Sonny was looking in the wrong place for justice. Luke asked Sonny to talk to Kristina again. "Are you calling my daughter a liar?" Sonny asked. Sonny then told Luke to leave.
Claire asked Dante if he thought Johnny would be a good witness for the prosecution. Dante warned that Johnny's got a grudge against Sonny. Claire then went to see Johnny and questioned him. Johnny flew off the handle when Claire implied that Sonny was the victim here. Claire smiled at Johnny's volatile response.
Ethan called Lucky and told him that he knows their father's secret.... Diane went to Jason to asked for his help in keeping Sonny focused. Jason agreed and had a talk with Sonny.
At Kelly's, Kiefer overheard Kristina and her friends discuss the upcoming trial and what she'd wear to court. Krissy insisted there'd be no trial. Molly decided to head for the library. Afterward, Kiefer approached Kristina and said, "Did I just hear right? You're dropping the charges against Ethan?" Kiefer started to get intense but then Sam showed up and asked what they were talking about.... Alexis arrived at the PCPD and told Lucky that she needed to speak to him about the charges against Ethan.
Friday
At the PCPD, Alexis told Dante and Lucky that Kristina did not want to press charges against Ethan. Ethan was released.
At the garage, Johnny told Claire that he begged his sister to leave Sonny and got very angry. Claire said she wasn't going to call him to the stand because the jury will see him as the grieving brother out for revenge. Johnny then told Claire that Dante's out to protect his father. Claire said she'd take his warning under advisement, but she still didn't want him to testify.
As Sonny told Jason he wanted vengeance against Ethan, Carly walked in and told the men that Michael found out about Kristina and "was about to swim home." Jason revealed to Sonny and Carly that both Morgan and Molly know that Michael's guilty. Jason left, then Carly asked what happened with Luke. Sonny opened up about how helpless he felt. "I will never be trapped and helpless again," Sonny vowed. "And neither will any of my children."
Lulu visited Maxie at G.H. and discovered Maxie needed an oxygen mask to breathe. Maxie tried to cheer up Lulu, who was moved because of her friend's sullen appearance. Maxie was shocked that Lulu and Dante hadn't had sex yet. Lulu said something had always come up. Maxie advised her not to sabotage herself. Spinelli entered and Lulu gave them some privacy. Spinelli gave Maxie an image of a lily, since he wasn't allowed to bring her flowers. "I love you," Maxie replied. "It sounds like you're saying good-bye," he noted. In the hall, Lulu asked Robin about Maxie and was stunned when Robin said things didn't look good. An upset Lulu bumped into Carly at Kelly's. Carly was strong for her cousin and assured her that miracles do happen. Back at the hospital, Spinelli stayed with Maxie until she fell asleep. After he left, Maxie heard Georgie's voice. She hugged her deceased sis and realized that Georgie had come for her. "That's up to you, Maxie," Georgie replied.
At Kelly's, Kristina silently relived the horror and Sam and Kiefer debated her decision not to press charges. An upset Kristina asked them to change the topic of conversation.
Later at Kelly's, Dante bumped into Morgan. They talked baseball and Sonny. Morgan was hard on Dante but Sonny arrived and told his young son that Dante was just doing his job. Morgan hoped that one day they'd all go to a Yankees game together.
At the lake house, Alexis told Kristina and Sam that the charges against Ethan were dropped. Krissy gave her mom a big hug.... At the restaurant, Jason met the new waiter, Bernie's nephew. Lucky met with Jason and informed him about the charges being dropped. Claire arrived with a subpoena for Jason.... At The Haunted Star, Tracy wasn't quite sold on Ethan's innocence. Luke advised Ethan not to do anything rash to clear his name.... At the PCPD, Olivia assured Dante that he was a good person. Just then, Johnny barged in and accused Dante of helping Sonny beat the rap.... When Alexis went to warn Ethan he'd better watch his back, Luke went to talk to Kristina and told the girl that she needed to tell the truth.... Jason met with Sonny and told him the news about Ethan. Sonny exploded, destroyed the room and shouted, "I want him dead." Just then, Jason realized that Claire witnessed the tantrum.
