General Hospital Recaps
GH Week of March 8, 2010
Monday
Lucky came to The Haunted Star to arrest Ethan because his green card ran out. Luke was in favor of the idea, figuring deportation would keep Ethan safe from Johnny's vendetta against Sonny. Ethan said he was touched by his father's and brother's concern but he was a big boy and could take care of himself. Ethan insisted he wasn't working with Johnny, but neither Lucky nor Luke bought his story.
Jason held a gun on Johnny and warned him to drop his vendetta against Sonny. When Jason went to walk away, Johnny pulled a gun on him. Johnny then handed the gun over to Jason and said he's not giving up on his quest. "You keep pushing, Johnny, and I'm going to push back," Jason huffed.
At Casa de Corinthos, Sonny was not happy to find Dante questioning Michael. Sonny ordered Michael out of the room. Sonny then confessed to Dante that he [Sonny] killed Claudia and explained how it happened and maintained it was justified.
At Shadybrook, Elizabeth was furious about the trust fund Nikolas set up. She said they needed to set the record straight: She realized that she and Lucky would never be together again but she's not going to be with Nik either. Liz said she can't even look at him without feeling guilty about what she did. "You and I are done," she insisted. She then called the Cassadine money cursed and said she wanted no part of it. Lainey entered to begin a session and could sense the tension between Nikolas and Elizabeth. Lucky also sat in on the session. Lainey asked Liz to recount how the affair began. Liz said it started off as a prank but soon after, she couldn't control herself. Lucky asked if he could contribute something. He admitted to keeping Liz frozen in time, and believed she acted out because she needed to be free of him.
At Metro Court, Carly gave Olivia instructions for a special dinner she was planning — for Sonny. Olivia was stunned that all the effort was for Sonny. Later, Jax entered the restaurant and saw the special dinner being set up. Jax assumed it was for him. Carly walked up and Jax told Carly she looked beautiful. "Thanks," Carly replied. "You think Sonny will like it?" Jax claimed he wasn't jealous in the least, then asked Olivia to join him for dinner. "Hell, no!" Liv huffed. Sonny arrived and informed Carly of his plans to take Michael out of the country. Carly was furious about the idea.
Maxie wanted to join Spinelli on his case but he was worried about her safety. He told Maxie that he suspects the philandering chef he's been following might be a serial killer. Just then Kate called for Maxie. Maxie told her boss that she'd be out for the rest of the day, as she was dealing with a matter "of life and death." Spinelli was happy that Maxie was willing to help him, and they kissed. Just then, the chef walked by. Spinelli got a call, and Maxie ran off after the suspect.
Tracy arrived at the casino and wanted to know how much Luke needed. Luke said he was offended that Tracy would think that. Luke said they needed to marry off Ethan so he can stay in the country. Tracy volunteered herself. Seeing how infuriated Luke was at that prospect, Ethan agreed to Tracy's offer and she called to get the corporate jet gassed up. Luke dismissed Ethan to discuss the matter with his wife. Luke changed his tune and demanded an allowance and perks to go along with the scheme. Tracy called his bluff. Luke admitted that he won't give Tracy up because he likes being married to her.
Dante went to Johnny's garage to question him about Michael's involvement in Claudia's death. "Leave Michael alone," Johnny responded.... Jason came back to Sonny's to whisk Michael to the island until Sonny's trial is over. Michael was reluctant but complied. Just as they were getting ready to leave, Dante arrived.
Tuesday
Maxie brandished a knife and accused Chef Robert of being a serial killer. She warned that Spinelli was about to become his worst nightmare. After, she filled in Spinelli on her encounter and how she'd pulled a weapon (well a butter knife) on the guy. She apologized for ruining his plan to catch the chef.
At the hospital, Lisa invited Patrick out to Jake's. Robin arrived and Lisa quickly invited her, too. Robin encouraged him to go, but he didn't want to go without his wife. She pressed him to admit that he enjoys going there, the said that she can only take so much of the place. They argued some more over whether or not Patrick should go, but were interrupted when Lisa and Steve arrived to talk about work. After, in the staff locker room, Lisa and Patrick discussed the patient — while she undressed right in front of him. Patrick went over the patient's file with her, not seeming to care that she was in her underwear. Later, he and Robin once again bickered over Jake's. Patrick insisted that he was coming home after work — and wanted to do so.
Dante stopped by Jason's, looking for Michael. Sam, who was in a state of undress, lamented that she and Jason had been "busy" and he'd picked a bad time to come by. Dante believed that Michael had witnessed something the night that Claudia died and implored Jason to get the teen to talk to him. Sam asked Dante to return later, but Dante suspected that Jason and Sonny were planning to get Michael out of town. Sam insisted that this wasn't the case. Dante promised to leave them alone if they'd cooperate with him. After he left, Michael came out of hiding.
Carly and Sonny argued over Michael while having dinner at the Metro Court. Jax suggested that they keep it down, but agreed with Sonny's plan to take Michael out of the country. "Michael's not going anywhere," Carly stated. The guys then argued over who was responsible for Michael getting into trouble in the first place. Carly still didn't want to let her son go. Sonny informed her that Jason was already on the way to the airport. Carly hurried out. After, Olivia joined Sonny and he asked if she could tell him a little about Dante. She wasn't eager to share anything, given that Sonny shot him. Still, she told him what Dante's best and worst subjects had been in school, and who his favorite superhero had been. She recalled how Sonny had killed Dante's real-life hero. Sonny insisted that he could've been a good father, but Liv was grateful that he hadn't raised her son. "Every man you've ever shot was somebody's son," she yelled. "This time, it was yours."
Carly found Jason and demanded that he not leave with Michael. "I'm sorry," Jason shrugged, but managed to get through to her. Carly shared a tearful hug good-bye with Michael and assured him that his dad would fix everything.
Dante went to Lulu's and began kissing her passionately as soon as she greeted him at the door. He wondered why they'd waited so long to be together. "You almost died, for starters," she cracked. He threw her down on the couch and she giggled and asked if he was drunk. He denied it and continued kissing her. Things began to heat up until they were interrupted by a very embarrassed Maxie. Later, Carly visited Lulu and asked if Lulu could speak with Dante about making Michael testify against Sonny. Lulu didn't want to get involved. Carly was confident that Dante and Sonny would eventually connect.... Dante told Ronnie that they won't need Michael's testimony, but he disagreed and went to Sonny's place. Sonny couldn't believe that Dante would let Ronnie come after his brother. Ronnie warned that even if Michael left the country, they have ways of finding him and bringing him home.
Kristina went to Kelly's and approached Ethan, who was sitting at a table reading the paper. She quizzed him about his latest date, but he didn't think it was appropriate to be discussing this with her. His date soon joined him, while an uncomfortable Kristina watched them. Kiefer showed up and told her to clear her schedule for Friday. He revealed that some guys are coming from Harvard and he wants to impress them.
Sam, Jason and Michael flew to Sonny's island. Jason listed all of the fun things they could do on the island, like dive and fish, and recalled when he'd brought Michael to the island as a baby. Jason recounted the time that he forced a stubborn young Michael to wear a sun hat. Michael pointed out that he's no longer that baby and Jason needs to let him grow up.
Maxie and Spinelli continued their search for the suspect in the storm drain where they'd had their first "adventure," as Spinelli called it. However, Maxie wasn't as nostalgic when she spied a big rat in the sewer. They ended up trapped down there.
Wednesday
At the island, a linen-clad Jason hugged Sam and suggested they enjoy
themselves while they can, but Michael interrupted their make-out session.
Later, an amorous Jason wanted to have sex. While they were busy, Michael
grabbed his knapsack and sneaked out. Sam loved seeing Jason so relaxed and flirty, then she suggested they check up on Michael. Shortly thereafter,
Jason brought Michael home after finding him trying to use the speedboat.
Michael denied trying to escape the island, but Jason wasn't buying it.
Later, Jason and Sam had to return home and Michael sought a new way to get
off the island. His attempt was foiled again, this time by the arrival of
Max and Milo.
At The Haunted Star, Ethan readied for his date with Jennifer. Luke noted
the "coincidence" that the girl happens to work for Sonny's accountant.
Kristina showed up seeking poker assistance. Ethan said he had a date and
gave her a Web site to check out. Luke noted Krissy's crush on Ethan. Later
that night, Jennifer showed up at the casino. Luke was amazed by the girl's
looks and smarts.
At G.H., Epiphany noted Patrick and Lisa were preoccupied. "Do we have a
problem?" she asked, since no one seemed interested in Steven's new
procedural codes. Then, Robin and Patrick quibbled about being stuck at home
all the time and not going out. Afterward, Patrick told Lisa that he felt
awkward after seeing her half-naked in the locker room. Lisa told Patrick
not to flatter himself.
Still trapped in the sewer, Maxie and Spinelli were wet, cold and tired.
Spinelli couldn't break the news to Maxie that his laptop was dying and he
wasn't going to be able to free them. After his battery died, Spinelli grew
gravely concerned that Maxie was suffering from hypothermia. As Spinelli
held her, he imagined them on a P.I. case back in the 1940s. Then, he
apologized to her for their current predicament and confessed that he had
made everything up about their current case. Just then, Johnny entered the
sewer system and found them. "Fancy meeting you here," he responded. Johnny
got the gate open and carried Maxie to safety. He said he'd return shortly
for the injured Spinelli.
At the office, Alexis signed a new client, an opera singer suing for sexual
harassment. Alexis's secretary, Iris, was not a fan of Diane's perfume.
Claire then showed up and wanted to know where Michael was. Claire suspected
that Michael knows something and Sonny sent him into hiding. Claire demanded
Sonny to produce Michael or else. After she left, Alexis was angry that
Sonny hid Michael, but Diane said he did the right thing.
At Crimson, Lulu was horrified to find Tracy checking up on her. Tracy gave
her stepdaughter another warning about Dante. Lulu pointed out that Luke's
no prize, either. Tracy realized that she wasn't one to talk when it came to
selecting potential mates, and Lulu lovingly shooed out her stepmother.
Kiefer took Kristina dress shopping for their big night out. Kiefer liked a
sexy purple number. Krissy wasn't sold on it but went along with Kiefer's
wishes. Later, she later changed her mind and went with something more
"mature." Later, wearing her new dress, Kristina returned to the casino and
overheard Ethan's plans for his date.
At the hospital, Patrick gave Robin a red rose, which made her smile.
Suddenly, Johnny rushed in with Maxie. Later, Spinelli arrived at the
hospital in a wheelchair. Maxie thought Spinelli contacted Johnny. Johnny
went along with the ruse and Spinelli kept quiet. In the hall, Spinelli
confessed what he did to Johnny, who admitted that he was trying to find
ways to move "product" and it was blind luck that he ran into them.
Meanwhile, Robin informed Maxie that as a heart recipient, if she contracts
pneumonia, it could be life threatening.
Molly showed up at the office to discuss Sonny's murder case. Alexis entered
and Diane covered for Molly. After the girl left, Alexis broke the news that
Iris lost them their new high-profile client. Diane took great glee in
firing Iris.
Lisa asked Patrick to consult on a case. When he was hesitant, she insisted
that there was no ulterior motive. Just then, their elevator got stuck.
Thursday
At Metro Court, Dante asked Carly about Michael's whereabouts. As they debated what was in Michael's best interests, Carly guilted Dante about how he split up her family. Claire arrived and accused Dante of protecting Michael. During the argument, Lulu called and said she needed to see him right away. Dante took the elevator to the Crimson offices to meet Lulu. She said she followed up on a favor for him and led him away. Lulu took Dante to a loft, which she said could be his if he wanted it. Dante was tickled, and they kissed. They were poised to make love for the first time.
On the island, Michael grew frustrated with Max and Milo's supervision. Michael then hatched a plan and called room service. Michael had women and drinks sent up for Max and Milo. Michael initiated a drunken limbo game, then sneaked away.
Sonny came to see Alexis at work. She asked where Michael was and what Sonny was trying to hide. "Start talking now!" Alexis demanded. Sonny said if she has a problem with him, she should take herself off the case. Alexis was dumbfounded because she knew that Sonny's never been violent towards women, but yet she couldn't figure out what he was up to.
Patrick wondered if Lisa was responsible for their elevator stoppage. She told him he was being ridiculous and insisted she had moved on. However, Lisa did question if Patrick was happy being so settled. They then shared a sexy memory of spring break. As time dragged on, Patrick opened up about his rocky relationship with Noah. Eventually, the elevator was opened, and Robin and Epiphany were waiting. A service man said he'd posted a sign, but no sign was evident.
At The Haunted Star, Tracy was happy that they were in the black for a change. She and Luke discussed Ethan's big date.
At the lake house, Kristina got all dressed up for her big night out. She told Molly that she was tired of frat parties and asked Molly to hack into Ethan's e-mail. She instructed her sister to send e-mails to Ethan and Jennifer, supposedly from each other, canceling their date. Kristina then called and left Kiefer a message canceling their date, and arranged to have Molly cover for her with Alexis.
In the hospital, Robin tried make Maxie understand that her condition was serious. Mac arrived, upset and wondering what she was up to in the sewer. Maxie insisted she felt fine. In the hall, Spinelli lamented to Johnny and he took the blame for his actions. When Spinelli entered, Mac chided him for his irresponsibility. Spinelli concurred. Mac warned Maxie that hanging out with Spinelli would get her killed one day. After Mac left, Spinelli confessed he made everything up and apologized.
At the casino, Ethan got the e-mail canceling his date. Tracy then got a call from Edward, summoning her back to the mansion. Just then, Kristina showed up. Ethan realized Krissy had something to do with his date being canceled and grabbed her by the arm. She threw a drink in his face, which the whole casino witnessed.
Carly went to Sonny and told him how Dante defended Michael when dealing with Claire. Sonny mentioned his conversation with Alexis and said he was thinking of telling Dante the truth. Carly was incredulous.
Alexis came home and Molly reluctantly lied for her sister. After they left, a livid Kiefer showed up at the lake house looking for Kristina.
Friday
At G.H., Jason visited Maxie and asked what happened. She asked Jason to convince Spinelli that this situation wasn't his fault. "Tell him I don't blame him and I love him," she pleaded. Jason found a sullen Spinelli in the hall, who lamented that he wasn't enough man for Maxie.
"I've wanted this for so long," Lulu told Dante in the loft as they started getting affectionate. Lulu joked that she was waiting for the inevitable interruption. They kissed more … and then Kate called. She ordered Lulu back to the office or else she and Maxie would be fired. Lulu returned to work and Kate chewed her out. Apparently, Maxie was a no-show at a meeting and lost Crimson an exclusive. Lulu got Maxie on the phone for Kate, who then told Maxie that if she wasn't in the office in one hour, she'd be fired. Maxie signed herself out of G.H., even though Epiphany said she should stay the night. On her way out, Maxie felt weak. Maxie arrived at the office with two minutes to spare, then had a coughing episode. As time wore on, Maxie's coughing got worse.
Claire delivered a subpoena to Sonny and Carly for Michael, and said if he doesn't show up, Michael would be cited for contempt. They both spoke up and said Michael was away on spring break. Claire wasn't buying it.
At The Haunted Star, Ethan grabbed Kristina's arm and said he was sick of her childish games. "You're hurting me!" she shouted. Luke saw the skirmish and was alarmed. Ethan ordered Kristina to leave and not come back. Krissy grabbed her purse and ran out in tears. Luke told his son that was not the best way to handle the situation. Kristina went to Metro Court and ordered a cosmopolitan. Sam corrected her and ordered her sister a Shirley Temple instead. Sam saw a bruise on Krissy's arm and wanted to know who grabbed her. "It was Ethan," Krissy replied.
On the island, Max and Milo continued partying with the girls. As Michael attempted to sneak out, Bernie arrived and told the gang that the party was over. Bernie laid down the law and said Michael was not leaving the island until Sonny's trial was over.
Carly reported to Jason that Claire was getting to Sonny. Then, Sonny visited Luke and asked for his help. Luke was sympathetic but didn't think that his talking to Lulu to ask Dante to lighten up would help.
At the loft, Claire met with Dante and said he needed to find Michael. Dante insisted Michael's testimony wasn't necessary. Claire told Dante that he can't play both sides any longer. Dante went to visit Sonny and told his father that he knows Michael's got something to get off his chest. "Let him tell the truth," Dante declared.
At the lake house, Kiefer hid and watched Kristina and Sam come home. He overheard them talking about Ethan. Sam gave her little sis a pep talk and they hugged. Sam warned Krissy to stay away from older guys. Sam then offered to stay, but Kristina said she could go. After Sam left, Kiefer knocked on the door. "Did you have fun blowing me off for Ethan, you bitch?" he snarled. As Sam went to The Haunted Star and ordered Ethan to stay away from her little sister, Kiefer exploded and hit Kristina. She fell to the floor and Kiefer chased her around the room. Kristina cowered in fear.
