GH Week of May 18, 2009
Monday
Luke was surprised to see Holly stroll into The Haunted Star. She handed him a bottle of champagne. "What are we drinking to?" Luke asked. "Friends or family?" Luke and Holly recalled their adventure in Singapore from years gone by, when they almost lost their lives and slept together. Luke came right out and asked if Ethan was their son. Holly admitted that she was about to show herself to him last week when Tracy burst in. Just then, Tracy
burst in and ordered Holly to get out. Holly told Luke that she wasn't comfortable speaking in front of Tracy, prompting Tracy to laugh. Holly then added that she'll give Luke the answers he seeks — for a price. When they scoffed, Holly walked out. Luke was angry with Tracy and blamed her for scaring Holly off.
Michael woke up while Lulu was visiting him. "What happened to me?" he asked. Lulu summoned the doctor. Patrick rushed in and said to Michael, "Welcome back."
Sonny caught Claudia and Ric in the middle of an argument. Sonny wondered why Jason was there. Jason said he'd just arrived. Ric left and Claudia went upstairs. Just then, Lulu called and gave Sonny the news. "Michael woke up," he then relayed to Jason and with that, the men raced out the door.
At home, Carly nearly fainted, Jax took her to the couch and asked if he should take her to G.H. Carly refused. A dejected Carly said she didn't want to talk to anybody. Then, her cell phone rang. Carly saw it was Lulu and said that she couldn't deal with listening to Lulu's problems with Johnny and she let the call go to voicemail. Lulu left her a message that Michael was awake and she needed to get to G.H. ASAP. A tearful Carly sobbed that she feared Michael was not going to wake up. She expressed her gratitude to Jax for him and their baby. Jax then gave Carly a baby gift to make her
smile.
At Wyndemere, Alexis grilled Rebecca about why she went to Greece. It was a vacation, she claimed. Alexis accused Rebecca of being in collusion with Helena. Alexis had a copy of Rebecca's itinerary, where there was a two-week gap when she couldn't be accounted for. "I was staying with a friend," Rebecca explained, stating that she'd met someone and stayed with him. Nikolas told Alexis to back off but Rebecca chimed in that she'd give Alexis
two weeks to dig up proof. During that time, she stated that she wouldn't sleep with Nikolas. Nik was surprised but Alexis agreed to the terms and left. Later, Nikolas and Rebecca got hot and heavy but she pulled back, citing her promise to Alexis. "I won't last two weeks," he urged. He started kissing Rebecca again and she walked out. "I accept your challenge," he called after her.
As Patrick examined Michael, the boy didn't understand why he was so weak. Just then, Sonny and Jason arrived. "Hi, Dad," Michael said. Sonny wept as he gently took his son into his arms. Sonny started to tell Michael what happened but Patrick advised Sonny against it — for now. Sonny agreed. Jason rushed off to find Carly. Then, Michael told Sonny he thinks he remembers something.
At G.H. Ethan showed up with an injured hand. He'd put it through a window after locking himself out, he explained. Ethan broke the news to her that Luke might be his father, too. Lulu was stunned. "Oh, my God, we flirted," she recalled with a grimace. "Do you want my dad to be your dad?" she asked. Ethan didn't know what to say.
Max told Claudia that Michael was awake but Jason didn't want her to join them at the hospital. Claudia tried to get past him but Max wouldn't budge. Claudia then called Johnny over and told him that Michael was awake. She also admitted that she'd confessed everything to the kid and was praying that he doesn't remember their visits. She went to G.H. anyway but Johnny told her not to visit Michael.
Holly showed up at Patrick's and asked if he had, "A warm bed for an old friend."
Jason rushed into Carly's house and broke the news that Michael was awake. Carly raced to Michael's room, where she burst into tears and embraced Michael. She told him that she loved him but Michael didn't say anything back to her.
Tuesday
At the Quartermaine mansion, Monica and Edward discussed Michael's case and expressed regret for letting Sonny take Michael away from them. Tracy and Luke entered in search of Holly, who was nowhere to be found. Just then, Jason called with news that Michael was awake.
At Patrick's, Holly showed up looking for a place to stay. Patrick was surprised but told Holly to make herself at home. Holly was delighted to hear that Robin and Patrick had married and had a little girl. They discussed the trials of parenthood and Patrick opened up about Robin's postpartum depression. Holly assured him they'd get through. Once Patrick went to work, Holly called Luke and apologized for running out on him. She hung up before Luke could get any answers about Ethan. Luke asked Tracy to
admit that she rigged the DNA test, a charge which Tracy continued to deny.
At G.H., Johnny tried to persuade Claudia from barging into Michael's room. Sonny spotted her looking in and went to speak to her. Claudia told Sonny that she heard the happy news but when she asked to see Michael, Sonny said it was too soon. Claudia said she understood and left with Johnny.
In his hospital room, a tearful Carly was thrilled that Michael was awake but the boy was cool to her. Carly didn't notice, but Jason and Sonny did. They discussed it in the hall and hoped that Michael's distance wasn't some kind of side effect of the surgery. Back inside, Carly was feeling faint. Jax offered to take her out for some fresh air and Michael gave his mother attitude for leaving his bedside. Monica and Edward arrived, thrilled to see Michael up and alert. Once Edward started getting blustery with Sonny, Jason
asked his grandfather to leave. Monica kissed Michael and walked Edward out. Alone with Jason, Michael stated that his legs hurt. Jason pointed out that his muscles had atrophied. Michael demanded to know how long he was out of it but Jason remained silent.
In the waiting area, Ethan was frustrated with his situation regarding Luke and Holly but Lulu proved to be a sympathetic ear. They overheard Patrick and Matt talking about Holly and realized that she was staying at the Drake abode.
Claudia joined Johnny at Jake's but he said he didn't want to spend time with his sister. He was furious about the situation Claudia found herself in.
Olivia rushed to G.H., thrilled to hear that Michael was awake. Monica and Edward went after Sonny and declared that they have no intention of letting Michael go back to living with his criminal father. As the arguing escalated, Olivia jumped in and told the Qs that they can't rip Michael from the only father he's ever known. "You're late late for that," she interjected. Feeling conflicted because of keeping Dante from Sonny, Olivia went to Jake's, where she found a drinking buddy in Johnny. The two toasted
to Michael's recovery and complained about being the "talk tos," whom people always dumped their secrets on. The two began to flirt.
Kelly gave Carly a quick exam and declared that she was okay but needed to be stress-free. They returned to Michael's room, where he was angry that no one would tell him what happened to him. He then chewed out Carly for not being there when he woke up. When Jax tried to explain that Carly needed rest because she's pregnant, Michael accused her of trying to replace him with a new baby.
Lulu showed up at the Qs, where Tracy confided in her stepdaughter about her problems with Luke. Lulu asked Tracy flat out if Ethan was her brother. Tracy cracked and admitted that she bribed a lab tech to fudge the DNA test results but claimed that she didn't know what the real results were.
At the Drake's, Patrick came home and shared some champagne with Holly. Just then, Luke and Ethan appeared in the doorway demanding answers.
Wednesday
At Patrick's, Holly poured her visitors, Luke and Ethan, a glass of
champagne. As Luke and Holly flirted, Ethan wanted some answers. Patrick encouraged a dialogue between the three. Luke and Holly shared that while facing death in Singapore, they had sex, but Holly would not admit if she'd gotten pregnant. Patrick suggested an easy solution, a DNA test. The guys relayed their failed try at that. Holly said she'd be happy to provide the truth, for a price. She gleefully wanted to scam Tracy and said that nothing
would be forthcoming until Luke loosened his wife's purse strings. Holly then bid the guys good night.
Jason went to Sam and confided his concerns about Michael to her. Jason added that he understands Michael's confusion, due to his own accident years ago. Sam noted that Sonny's going have to fill Michael in on everything that has happened, including the shooting itself. Sam assured Jason that Michael would be all right because he had Jason in his life to look after him.
At G.H., Carly insisted to Michael that she wasn't trying to replace him by getting pregnant and that her love for him has never wavered. Michael was angry that Jax took her away from him. Carly explained that she only went home to get some rest and had refused to give up hope that he'd recover. Sonny asked an irate Jax to be understanding to Michael's sensitivity. After, Carly told Michael that she'd stay the night with him but Michael said no. Hurt, Carly said okay and stated she'd return in the morning. After
she and Jax left, Sonny told Michael not to be mad at his mother. "If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at me," Sonny told his son. After Michael pleaded with his father to tell him what happened, Sonny relayed the story of that fateful night at the warehouse and took full responsibility for the shooting. Michael was stunned to learn he'd lost a year of his life. Sonny added how guilty he felt and stated that he doesn't even have the right to ask his son for forgiveness. Michael told his father he knows how much his father loves him and said, "If it helps, I forgive you." Sonny was truly relieved and promised Michael that things would be different this time around.
Johnny and Olivia finished drinking and got hot and heavy. After they hit the sheets at Olivia's apartment, they laughed about falling into bed together. Olivia offered to cook something for Johnny but he pulled her back into bed. Eventually, the hot-blooded duo took a break to share some pasta and wine. They discussed their diverse backgrounds, and agreed to keep what happened between them a secret.
At home, Carly deeply regretted not being there when Michael woke up. Jax worried that Michael might have endured a permanent change in his behavior due to his brain injury. Carly couldn't forget Michael's words, though, and insisted on going back to G.H. Carly arrived at Michael's room, where she found him asleep. She explained to her snoozing son about the anguish she endured and insisted he could never be replaced. After Carly left the room, Michael opened his eyes.
Sonny went to Olivia's looking to talk but instead found a towel-clad Johnny. Corinthos was not pleased.
Thursday
Alice happily served coffee, croissants and fresh fruit in the Q drawing room, where Monica and Edward argued about Michael and Tracy and Luke bickered about Holly. Just then, Holly entered. Edward greeted her warmly. Luke spilled the beans that Ethan could be his and Holly's son. Edward congratulated Holly. In fact, he and Monica encouraged Luke to run away with Holly and get to know his son better. Tracy, however, was not amused. Holly pointed out that no one was getting any answers until she got her money.
On the docks, Lucky and Lulu compared notes about Ethan. Lucky was still furious with Luke for cheating on Laura. Just then, Ethan walked up. Lulu tried to keep the boys from coming to fisticuffs, then Lucky stormed off.
Patrick, Carly and Jax were concerned about Michael's increasingly surly behavior. Michael barked that Carly should just go home. Patrick told Michael that his attitude was a side effect of the brain injury but Michael said he's just mad at his mother. In the hall, Carly was anxious to take Michael home but Patrick said it was too soon to discuss the matter. Afterward, Carly was angry with Jax for talking her into going home and leaving Michael's bedside when he woke up.
Seeing Rebecca in Emily's favorite color jolted both Nikolas and Elizabeth. Nik told Liz that he and Rebecca agreed to cool it for two weeks and reasserted his opinion that Rebecca was not working for Helena. Liz mentioned Lucky's dilemma with Luke to Nik, who was sympathetic. Afterward, Nik and Rebecca made a date to go sailing and then have dinner at Wyndemere.
Maxie caught Spinelli bugging Kate's office. Kate arrived and asked Maxie where Johnny was, as it was time to go over their next set of public appearances. Johnny and Olivia met up in the lobby and both mentioned how much they enjoyed the night before. Johnny asked if Olivia heard from Sonny. She said no. After her meeting with Johnny, Kate summoned Olivia to her
office and asked what was going on with her and Johnny, prompting an eavesdropping Spinelli's jaw to drop. Olivia denied it but Kate knew something was up and got Olivia to cop to the truth. She noted Aunt Teresa would have a stroke if she knew. Spinelli was speechless after learning about Johnny and Olivia's tryst.
Liz went to The Haunted Star and asked Luke to consider Lucky's feelings while he's trying to determine whether or not Ethan is his son. Luke said Lucky was the one who shut him out years ago and that Ethan actually appreciated him for who he is. Liz said she wished that Lucky and Luke would stop judging each other and realize how much they truly loved each other.
Tracy showed up at Patrick's with a two million dollar check for Holly. Holly commented that money wasn't the only thing she wa after. "I've come to take your husband," Holly smiled to Tracy. Tracy, however, told Holly it was time for her to let go.
Edward and Monica visited Michael, and Edward dropped hints to the boy to come live with the Quartermaines. When Michael criticized Carly, Monica stood up for her, surprising Edward. Monica stated that as a mother, she can relate to what Carly's gone through. When Monica got paged, Edward told Michael that he was stolen from the Quartermaines by Sonny and Jason. Edward
regretted not fighting more for Michael as a baby and stated that Michaelwould be much safer living at the Q mansion. Just then, Mike interrupted and told Edward that Michael already has a home with Sonny.
Ethan stopped by to see Luke, and they also discussed that Lucky having a hard time with Ethan's paternity. Ethan resented being bait for Holly to snare Luke.... Lucky confronted Holly and demanded to know if Ethan was Luke's son.... Tracy asked Luke if he was planning on leaving her for Holly.... Lulu brought Michael tacos and new music. He was thrilled. Carl smiled outside the door, until he heard Michael talk disparagingly of her.
Friday
At Wyndemere, Alexis walked in on Rebecca and Nikolas smooching. Nikolas
told Alexis that per her request, he and Rebecca hadn't had sex. Alexis
continued to think that Helena was responsible for Rebecca's presence in
their lives. Alexis acknowledged that she still has no proof of her theory.
After Alexis left, Nikolas and Rebecca went for a jaunt on the grounds. When
they returned, they made out.
At Patrick's, Lucky clashed with Holly about Ethan. Lucky made it clear that
he did not want to be related to Ethan.
As Carly eavesdropped, Michael talked to Lulu about his resentment towards
Carly. Carly expressed her hurt to Jason, who urged her to keep her distance
while Michael works through his anger. Michael, meanwhile, talked to Lulu
about life at the Q manse. Edward entered and cheerfully expressed his
desire for all his family to be under his roof. Carly entered and blasted
Edward for his attempts to get Michael to move back in.
Sonny vented to Claudia about her brother is "taking advantage" of his
friend. Claudia was grossed out at the thought of Johnny having sex with
Olivia. Mike stopped by to warn Sonny that Edward was trying to convince
Michael to come live with the Qs. Sonny was peeved and told Mike about
Johnny and Olivia. Mike noted that Sonny seemed jealous.
Tracy grilled Luke about whether he was leaving her for Holly. He said he
didn't know what he was going to do. Tracy warned Luke that she wouldn't
wait for him this time. Ethan urged Luke to give Tracy an answer. Luke asked
Ethan to give him some privacy; before leaving, Ethan reminded Luke that he
can't trust Holly but can trust Tracy. After Tracy left, Luke and Ethan
bickered over Tracy. Holly showed up and said she was there to tell them the
truth. Holly announced that she is Ethan's mother but that Luke is not his
father. Holly said that Ethan's father was the other man in the picture she
had given him. "Robert Scorpio," realized Luke.
At Metro Court, Spinelli and Maxie lurked around Olivia. Spinelli was about
to tell Maxie that Olivia had slept with Johnny when Claudia barreled in and
beat her to the punch by confronting Olivia within Maxie and Spinelli's
earshot. While Maxie reeled, Olivia tried to get Claudia to stay out of her
business (a losing battle). Next, Claudia went to give Johnny a piece of her
mind. She didn't let up until Maxie arrived with her own questions about
Johnny's night of passion with Olivia. "I thought you liked me," she said.
She acknowledged her own attraction to Johnny. Johnny challenged her to
sleep with him.... Sonny went to see Olivia, who wasn't interested in
discussing Johnny with Sonny.
Sonny returned to the hospital and talked with Jason about Michael. Sonny
entered Michael's room as Carly was warning Michael that he was coming home
with her, regardless of what Edward was pushing for. Lulu ran out to fetch
Jason in the hopes that he could play peacemaker as a brouhaha erupted in
Michael's room. "I want to live with you, Dad," said Michael.
