GH Week of Nov. 2, 2009
Monday
At the accident site, as the storm raged on, Carly woke up in the car. "Help, somebody," she whispered. Carly got out of the car but Claudia was unconscious in the driver's seat. Carly got a flashlight out of the glove compartment and headed off into the rain. As Carly made her way through the darkness, she assured the baby that they would make it out of their pickle. Carly found an abandoned cabin and prepared to give birth. She lit candles, made a fire and grabbed some blankets.
At the PCPD, Jason barked at Lucky to let him go and search for Carly. Lucky said he couldn't let him go just to execute Claudia. Jason insisted he was concerned about Carly's labor. Just as Lucky was about to slip Jason a key to his cuffs, Mac entered and ordered Lucky away. Sam arrived with Johnny, suggesting they join forces. Jason refused, believing Johnny would help Claudia escape. Johnny stormed out. Jason asked Sam to check up on Spinelli. Lucky returned and advised Jason to sit tight. Jason was frustrated. Lucky pointed out that Mac "grounded" him from the search, too.
Lulu burst into the penthouse to see how Spinelli was doing trying to locate Claudia's car. Lulu noted that Dominic sounded a lot like a cop as he was barking instructions. Dom left to ask Ronnie for help in locating Carly. Ronnie refused, so Dom quit the case. Sam arrived, just as Spinelli got a probable location on Claudia's car. Sam got Jason's gun from the closet and headed out. Lulu vented to Spinelli that Carly had to be all right. Dominic returned. Lulu suggested checking out the abandoned Zacchara mansion. Dominic agreed to go with her.
At the house, a frustrated Jax told Michael that none of this was his fault. "Where's mom?" asked Morgan. Michael told Morgan everything about Claudia, the party and their mother's kidnapping. Jax assured the boys that Carly was going to be okay. Olivia arrived to calm down Jax, who lamented that he was
just trying to protect his wife by not speaking up. Jax was furious to learn that he couldn't do a fly-over to search for Carly. Olivia reminded Jax that sometimes good people have to lie.
At the lake house, Alexis chastised her girls for their gallivanting. Just then, Sonny arrived and asked for her help locating Carly. Alexis told the girls to go to their rooms. Sonny then begged Alexis to help get Jason get out of lockup. Alexis refused but Sonny pleaded with her to step up. Alexis changed her tune and went with Sonny to the PCPD. Alexis stood up to Mac and demanded Jason's release. Alexis got a judge to concur and Jason was free to go. Lucky advised Jason to try and let the system do its job when it came to Claudia. "You just might be surprised," Lucky added.
Back at the lake house, Krissy told Molly how Sonny humiliated Claudia in front of everyone and it was like he was a different person. "He was scary," she confessed. Alexis returned home a little while later, and re-assured Kristina that she was not responsible for the night's events. They discussed Sonny. Alexis pointed out that despite all his flaws, Sonny loves his daughter.
Lulu broke into the Zacchara mansion, where Johnny almost shot her. Lulu led the charge to go find Carly. In her haste, she fell through the floor into water.... Jason returned to the penthouse, where Spinelli gave him the car's last known location.... Sonny showed up at Jax and Carly's house, asking for the boys. Jax refused to let them go with their father.... Sam returned to the penthouse empty-handed.... Just as Carly had another contraction, a livid, soaking-wet Claudia burst through the cabin door.
Tuesday
Lulu was trapped in the rising water in the basement of the Zacchara mansion. Dominic sent Johnny out in search of a rescue team, then kept Lulu calm by telling her bad jokes. He also kept her warm by holding Lulu close. Dominic admitted he liked that Lulu was never boring. Lulu shared stories of her childhood and her father with Dominic. Lulu told Dominic he should leave so he won't drown with her. Dom said he wasn't going anywhere. Just then, Lulu said she remembered: Dom is an undercover cop. Dom denied the charge, but then admitted to it and acknowledged that Olivia was his mother. Lulu started to lapse into unconsciousness.
At the Jacks house, Sonny demanded his sons leave and go home with him, despite Jax's objections. Michael and Morgan thought they should remain where they were for when Carly came home. Olivia asked the boys for a few minutes to sort everything out. As the men bickered, Olivia did cop that Jax shouldn't berate Sonny in front of his boys. After Sonny left, Jax apologized to the boys. As Jax spoke to the police, Michael told Morgan he blamed himself for what happened. Shortly after, Michael disappeared.
Claudia entered the cabin just as Carly was preparing to give birth. "Stay the hell away from me," Carly demanded. Claudia vowed to help Carly deliver the baby, whether she wanted her assistance or not. "Breathe, Blondie," shouted Claudia. As Carly began to deliver, Claudia had to assist. After a difficult and strained delivery, Claudia delivered the baby but there was no crying. A few moments later, the baby cried, and Carly breathed a sigh of relief.
Sam was frustrated that she missed Jason when he went out in search of Carly and Claudia. Spinelli felt remorse for defending Claudia in the past. Out in the storm, Jason busted into a cabin with gun blazing, unaware it was the home of a mother with two small children. The woman chastised Jason for nearly killing them and told Jason to get out. He was apologetic and left. Jason returned to the penthouse, empty-handed and guilt-ridden. Sam refused to let Jason feel guilty. Just then, Spinelli tracked down a new lead on the missing car. Jason and Sam headed out in hot pursuit. On the ride, Sam feared that since Claudia doesn't need two hostages, she may kill Carly and run off with the baby.
Sonny returned home alone and chewed out Bernie. "Carly and the baby need to be returned safely and I don't want to hear excuses," he huffed. Olivia arrived to calm Sonny down. Sonny talked about his life with Carly, and they reminisced about the times they shared back in the day. Sonny mentioned that he wished they had something to hold onto from their past together.
In his car, Michael headed to the Canadian border. On the road, he stumbled upon the Claudia's abandoned car and ran off in search of his mother. Back at the cabin, Claudia held Carly's baby and refused to turn the infant over to her mother.
Wednesday
At Casa de Corinthos, Sonny voiced his regrets to Olivia about the turn of events. Just then, the power went out due to the storm. After they lit candles, Jax arrived looking for Michael. "You lost my son," Sonny exclaimed. The men argued.
From his car, Michael called Sam to say that he found Claudia's abandoned vehicle but the cell phone reception was bad and the call was dropped.
At the cabin, Carly stared as Claudia cradled Carly's newborn. Carly demanded her daughter back but Claudia refused to turn the baby over. As Claudia prepared to leave with the baby, Michael rushed through the door and whacked Claudia in the head. Claudia fell to the ground, dead. As Michael grasped what he had just done, Jason and Sam arrived. Jason took the baby from Claudia's basket and handed her to Carly. "My baby," Carly uttered, causing Michael to look over at his mother. Jason asked Michael to meet his baby sister. Carly told Michael she's happy that he's safe. Jason asked Sam for her cell phone.
In the Zacchara basement, Dominic struggled to keep a trapped Lulu conscious. Dominic explained why he's on a mission to bring down Sonny. Lulu admitted that she liked Dom, then lost consciousness. Johnny returned with word that help was on the way but Dom couldn't revive Lulu. Shortly after, the rescuers arrived and Lulu was freed and taken away to G.H.
Jason phoned Sonny and told him that Sam was taking Carly and the baby to G.H. and requested Max and Milo to come meet him at the cabin. Sonny told Jax everyone was okay. At the cabin, Jason gave everyone their cover story: Carly escaped from Claudia, had the baby alone and Sam found her. Everyone agreed to stick to the story. Carly assured Michael that everything would be okay and the women left. In the car, Carly shared the details of Josslyn's
birth with Sam. She regretted that Michael was going to have to carry the guilt of killing Claudia but Sam assured her that Jason would make everything okay.... In the woods, Michael told Jason his side of the story. Sonny arrived and when Michael expressed regret, Sonny told his son, "You stopped her. You did good." Sonny ordered Jason to tie up all the loose ends. In the car, Michael told Sonny that he didn't care that he killed Claudia. "Yes, you do," commented his father.
At G.H., Jax and Olivia awaited Carly's arrival. Jax pledged to do whatever he could to help Dante nail Sonny. Afterward, Jax was overwhelmed to reunite with Carly and his newborn baby girl. Kelly gave them the good news that Josslyn was just fine. Epiphany wheeled the baby in to her exuberant parents. Later, Carly told Jax everything that happened at the cabin.
At Kate's house, Maxie called the groundskeeper to get his crew over and do something about Kate's flooded pool. As she waited, Maxie saw Sonny arrive home — wearing a blood-stained shirt.
At G.H., Dominic informed Lulu that Carly and the baby were safe, while Johnny fretted to Olivia about what might have happened to his sister. Johnny then went to Sam for answers; she had none to give. Dom also suspected the worst.... In the woods, Max and Milo arrived to assist Jason in disposing of Claudia's body. Once the removed the evidence, Jason set the cabin ablaze. Miles away, in the rain, the men buried Claudia.
Thursday
At the penthouse, Johnny enlisted Spinelli's aid to find Claudia. After Johnny left, Sam arrived and had an orange soda with Spinelli. She said Jason would be home soon. Spinelli informed Sam that Johnny's on the hunt to find his sister. Sam was worried Johnny would avenge Claudia's death.
At G.H., Jax admonished Carly for what happened with Michael and the cover up that ensued. "How you deal with Claudia's death will determine if Michael will end up like his father," he warned. Just then, Detective Williams arrived to take their statements. Carly relayed the story just as she'd been
instructed by Jason. After Williams left, Jax said, "You made a terrible mistake." "I was protecting my son," she replied, "Just like you were protecting your brother. How could you keep that from me?" Jax confessed the he knew about Jerry's involvement since the night of their vow renewal when he watched Jerry's DVD. Carly was furious, even though Jax said he was trying to protect her. Jason showed up and Carly told Jax to leave. As Carly cried, Jason picked up Josslyn and put her in her mother's arms. Carly stopped crying and cherished her child.
At Sonny's, Dominic checked in and informed him about Lulu. Just then, Jason arrived. "Dominic wants to know if you need help with tonight's job," Sonny told his enforcer. Sonny then dismissed Dominic, and Jason expressed his concern for Michael. Sonny said they'd be fine as long as everyone keeps
their stories straight. Sonny then had a chat with Michael, who said he wasn't sure how he felt. He said at the moment, he feels calm. Sonny reminded Michael that Claudia set up the circumstances for her own demise, and that he saved his mother and sister's lives. However, Sonny made it clear that he didn't want Michael to follow in his footsteps.
At G.H., Nikolas arrived to see Lulu. Elizabeth asked him if he'd spoken to Lucky but Lucky was in the field. In Lulu's room, Luke sat by her bedside and they discussed Dominic. Nik and Liz entered and Nik kissed his sister on the forehead. Tracy and Ethan showed up as well. Ethan wasn't thrilled to
hear that Dominic was his sister's rescuer. In the hall, when Tracy saw that something was on Luke's mind, he cryptically replied that the Spencers were headed for a train wreck.
At GH, Johnny ran into Maxie, where she slipped that she saw Sonny at his house with blood all over his shirt. Meanwhile, Dominic went to the cabin, which was now a smoldering pile of ruins. Johnny arrived on the scene and discussed Claudia's murder. Johnny mentioned the story of Sonny's bloody shirt. Johnny was convinced that Sonny murdered his sister and Dominic offered to help him get to the bottom her disappearance.
Jason returned to he penthouse and sat with Sam. He was relieved that Claudia was gone and it was all over. Across town, in the mystery art studio containing the clips of Jason and his work, a photograph was dropped on the table. The photo was of Jason with Claudia's dead body.
Friday
Sonny and Michael discussed the fallout of Claudia's death. They went over their stories again and Sonny insisted that Michael tell no one the truth. Sonny also said he'd be there for his son when the reality of what happened kicks in.
Jason arrived at G.H. to visit Carly and the baby. Carly introduced Josslyn to her godfather. Jason told the baby he was very proud of her. Then, Carly demanded to know how long Jason knew about Claudia's culpability in Michael's shooting. Jason told the truth and spilled about Jerry, the DVDs, Mexico and Ian's tapes. Carly was upset at Jason for keeping the truth from her but she forgave him. Jax, however, was another story.
Dominic asked Jax for the details of Claudia's disappearance. Jax spilled about Claudia assisting with Carly's delivery but stopped short of incriminating Michael. Just then, Sonny arrived to discuss Michael and wanted to know what the hell Dominic was doing there. Dom covered, saying he was keeping an eye on Morgan. Sonny dismissed Dom and then started arguing with Jax about Michael's cover up. "It's always about you, isn't it Sonny?" Jax pointed out.
At Olivia's, Johnny was frustrated that he didn't know what happened to his sister. He believed Sonny killed her and then relayed Maxie's story about seeing Sonny with the bloody hand print on his shirt. Johnny admitted Claudia could be mean and vindictive but she was still his sister. Olivia held Johnny as he broke down and cried. Not knowing the truth was eating Johnny alive. He then mentioned that Dominic was going to help him nail
Sonny. Liv secretly got upset.
Olivia went to visit Carly, who was packing to leave, even though she hadn't been discharged yet. Carly told her friend about Jax's involvement. Olivia confessed that she knew, too. Carly was furious and asked, as a mother, how Olivia could keep quiet while her son was in jeopardy.
At the PCPD, Lucky had Jason in for questioning. Lucky said he doesn't necessarily believe Jason killed Claudia but he needed some answers. Jason refused to give anything up, despite Lucky's best efforts. Lucky reminded him the truth always comes out in the end.... Nikolas came to see Lucky but he was was unavailable. Elizabeth arrived and instructed him not to talk about their secret fling. Nik said he didn't need her permission to chat with his own brother.
Johnny showed up at Sonny's and talked to Michael. When Johnny tried to apologize for his sister, Michael spat, "Claudia got exactly what she deserved." Sonny came home and Johnny said he'd continue to work for Corinthos, and warned him that Anthony's hitman, Johnny Limbo, was in town.
Jax arrived at the hospital to discover that Carly checked herself out. At home, Carly introduced Morgan to his little sister. Carly took the baby into the nursery and laid her in her new bassinet. Jax came home and Mercedes took Morgan shopping. They then argued about his protecting Jerry over Michael, and Carly asked Jax to leave their home.
Olivia called Dominic and told him that he should be ashamed of himself for using Johnny's grief to benefit his case. Dom said he'd look out for Johnny but he was determined to prove Sonny committed murder.
At the penthouse, Michael came to see Jason and feared that he slipped up in front of Johnny with his comment. Jason warned him that he'd feel guilty about what he did but Michael assured him that he's fine.
