GH Week of November 12, 2007
Monday
Jason stopped Sam from spilling the beans. Lucky demanded to know the secret, but Jason told him it's not Sam's truth to tell. So he told it: "You're not Jake's father, Lucky, I am." When Elizabeth backed him up, Lucky accused her of lying. "You told me I was his father," he wailed. "You are a lying whore!" Then he punched Jason and threatened to kill him. Liz explained she lied because was afraid Lucky would go back on pills. Lucky made Liz recount the whole sordid story, including how she told Jason the truth at Metro Court and committed perjury at his trial. Sam accused Jason of dumping Jake on Lucky, but Liz said Jason wanted to protect the kid from Sam. Lucky said "the sickest, saddest part" is that Liz "would have lied to Jake his whole life about who he really is." When he left Liz blasted Sam, who blamed Jason and Liz for starting the lie. "What happened here tonight is all on you," she spat. Inside Wyndemere, Sam comforted a sobbing Lucky. Back in the stables, Liz admitted it's all her fault, but why did he tell Lucky tonight, with a madman on the loose? "I'm Jake's father," he replied. "I just couldn't lie about it anymore." Lucky wondered if he's supposed to turn his back on Jake. Sam admitted she should have told him, because she's known since the day after Jake was born.
Carly assured Sonny that he's not in love with Kate, lumping her in with Reese and his other bed buddies. Sonny asked Carly to show Kate the same respect he shows Jax; he's moved on. Carly insisted Kate and Sonny are from two different worlds. She wished him "happiness and love," but insisted he won't find it with Kate. Kate accused Carly of trying to make Sonny follow her, and they got into it over Sonny. Carly left, but Kate stopped Sonny from following. Outside, Carly ran into a half-drowned Jerry, who reported he and Jax made it to the harbor and called for help. Jax insisted on returning, however, and the boat capsized. "Jax never came up," he said, assuring her that his brother drowned. Carly slapped him and said, "My husband is coming back to me."
Nikolas demanded Emily lock him in the wine cellar, which she did. Then he had second thoughts and begged to be released. In the foyer, Zacchara gloated over the prone Luke, who was suffering a heart attack. Elsewhere, Johnny told Leyla she looks just like his mother — whom his father killed.
When Zacchara tired of taunting Luke, Logan and Scott found him. "I'm gonna save your life and remind you of it," Scott chortled. Nikolas went into one of his rages, tore out a pipe and tried to pry open the door, but, as luck would have it, Zacchara happened by the wine cellar and heard him. Scott and Logan dragged Luke to Emily, who sent Scott to fetch Tracy's purse, which contained Edward's heart medication. She sent Logan for the portable defibrillator. Em scolded Luke for mistreating his body. Scott returned with the purse, then went to help Logan. Tracy gave Luke a nitro pill. Downstairs, Leyla found Patrick and Robin, and the trio set out to check on Ric. But Zacchara came down the stairs (Say, wasn't he just in the wine
cellar?) and captured them. Robin claimed she was "Cinderella," and Zacchara picked up the theme, calling Patrick "Prince Charming" and Leyla "Sleeping Beauty." That is, until he saw her face. Then he called Leyla "Maria." (His dead wife.) Emily told Tracy to keep Luke calm, then left. Scott said he doesn't want Luke to die because he needs an enemy. Logan said it's stupid to waste life on "petty crap." Emily found the wine cellar a mess — and Nikolas missing.
Zacchara decided that either Prince Charming or Cinderella must die — and told "Maria" to choose.
Tuesday
Two hours earlier — 3 a.m.
Anthony Zacchara insisted on killing someone, so Leyla selected Patrick. However, as Zacchara took aim, she rushed in front of the gun and took the bullet. Enraged, Patrick jumped Zacchara, who recovered and ran off. Patrick and Robin tended to the bleeding Leyla. Robin apologized for being cruel to Leyla, and admitted she didn't steal Patrick. Leyla accepted her apology. Later, Coop stopped by to update Patrick on Luke and Sonny. Noting Leyla was doing okay, Robin said she wants Patrick to be happy, "even if it means letting you go." He admitted, "I haven't stopped loving you." She replied, "Me, too."
Lucky accused Sam of not telling him about Jake in a bid to keep Jason, which she admitted. Nikolas arrived, asking about Elizabeth, and got into a fight with Sam. Lucky asked about Emily, but Nik shouted that he didn't know anything and fled. Elsewhere, Logan and Scott checked on Luke, who was recovering with Tracy's help. Emily arrived looking for Nik, but stopped to check Luke's pulse. In the stables, Elizabeth lamented to Jason all the trouble her lying caused. They reminisced about the first time he saved her at the bar. They embraced, and he said everything is different with the truth about Jake out in the open. Nik, Sam and Lucky arrived in the study, where Tracy told Lucky about Luke's heart attack. Nik left to find Em. Spinelli, Nadine and a surly Lulu arrived in the stables, followed shortly by Johnny. Jason and Johnny set out to find Zacchara, leaving Lulu to whine about wanting to "help." (Is she Carly's mouthy cousin or her clone?) Nadine finally called Lulu on her arrogance. Later, Liz told Spinelli that Jason told Lucky about Jake. Spinelli suggested Liz tell Jason if she wants to be with him. She said she just wants to avoid causing more pain. Jason found Emily, who told him about Nik's rage and disappearance, but refused to go to the stables. In the wine cellar, Nik ran into Alfred, who said the storm will last until daybreak, making Nik freak. Lulu wandered the grounds solo, shouting for Zacchara, who appeared and gloated about Luke. He drew on her, but Johnny arrived and told him to leave her alone. As Emily argued with Jason, Nik attacked him from behind. Tracy told Luke she's going to help him get healthy. "We're a damn good match," he admitted, and promised not to die.
Carly accused Jerry of lying about Jax drowning. He collapsed, and a thug got the drop on a distracted Carly. She dove out of the way, and Jerry shot him. Sonny admitted to Kate that he's not good at talking about his feelings. She called him her best boyfriend ever and noted they are together because she can say anything to him. She's very happy to hear that he loves her, because she loves him, too — "very, very much." Jerry told Carly he and Jax brought Alexis to the mainland, but authorities refused to send help during the storm, so they returned themselves. And that's when the boat went down and Jax was lost. Jerry called his brother "my best friend," and insisted it was worth risking their lives "to get back to you, Carly!"
Outside, Anthony put his gun in Johnny's hand and ordered his son to kill Lulu. Inside, as Emily watched in horror, Nikolas got the upper hand on Jason and prepared to deliver a killing blow....
Wednesday
Johnny pointed a gun at his father's chest and pulled the trigger — only to find out the gun wasn't loaded. He asked his father to take revenge on him, not Lulu. Zacchara left after telling Johnny he'd let Lulu live until sunrise. Logan approached them, and Johnny ran off after his father. Logan and Lulu argued about Johnny again, and Lulu pointed out that Johnny had saved her life. Logan left her to go find Zacchara. Alone, Lulu noticed a shadow coming toward her.
Jason managed to throw Nikolas off him and began raining down punches of his own until Emily stopped him. The hitman grabbed some rope and tied a barely-conscious Nikolas to a chair. Nik came to and was distraught when he realized that he'd hurt Emily, and forced her to leave with Jason.
Lucky brought Sam to the stables to guard everyone hiding there, which obviously irritated Elizabeth, prompting her to reveal Sam's part in Liz being accosted in the park. Sam left with Lucky at her heels. Jason came in with Emily, and after settling her in with Liz, got back to work. Emily told Liz that Nikolas' blackouts were getting worse. In an attempt to distract Emily from her worries about Nik, Elizabeth told her that Jason told Lucky that Jake was his son. She followed up with a tirade about how much she hated Sam. Emily reassured Liz that she loved her, no matter what happened between her, Lucky and Jason. Emily insisted she had to go back for Nikolas, but first asked Liz to be her maid of honor, and of course she said yes. With that, Emily left to find Nikolas.
Zacchara came up behind a helpless Nikolas and began strangling him with a wire. He soon tired of that, though, and instead decided to chat him up, insulting Nik's hosting skills. He also told Nik he had Emily stashed somewhere. Lucky and Sam burst in just in time to witness a bit of Zacchara's mini-meltdown before he ran off. Sam freed Nikolas, who let her believe Zacchara had tied him up. Nikolas disappeared while Sam and Lucky had a brief argument. Sam worried that Zacchara hadn't tied up Nikolas — that he'd been tied up for his own good.
Kate woke up from a dream and asked Sonny to take her dancing when this horrible night was over. Sonny told her how happy she made him. They left to look for Carly and bumped into Jason, who then went off to find Carly himself. Elsewhere, Jax and Carly reunited. Carly told Jax that Jerry was having trouble breathing. Jax wanted him to get medical attention, but Jerry, as he coughed up blood, pointed out that none of the doctors at the party would help him. Meanwhile, Jason found the chair he'd left Nikolas in empty. Johnny ran in behind him, and they filled each other in on the various threats facing the people at Wyndemere. Johnny promised Jason he could do what was necessary if he found his father, and they went their separate ways. Jason eventually found Carly with Jax and Jerry.
Patrick and Robin talked about Leyla, and how close Patrick had come to being shot himself. Patrick told Robin he never stopped loving her. Robin expressed similar sentiments, but pointed out that their current situation was making them sentimental. Nothing had changed between them, unless he had changed his mind about having a baby. Focusing again on Leyla, they decided they needed to hunt down painkillers. With Patrick carrying Leyla, they set out, eventually finding some alcohol for her.
Trevor told Skye stories of Ric's childhood, and of his mother. Sonny came in to check on him. Ric expressed his surprise that Sonny had saved him, and asked why he did it.
Emily found Nikolas, who begged her to stay away from him. Their argument became heated, and they moved off-camera. Emily cried out his name, which was followed by thud and the splatter of blood. A struggle ensued and Emily fell to the ground.
Thursday
Wyndemere 5 a.m.
A bloodied Nikolas awakened next to the blood-spattered mask — and Emily's corpse! He tried to revive her with CPR, but it was too late, so he started crying. In the next room, Jax, Jerry and Carly compared notes with Jason.
When they heard Nik scream Jason and Carly investigated, finding Nik fiercely cradling Emily. Carly indicated to Jason that his sister is dead. Nik insisted Em was just dreaming. Jason demanded to know: "Who did this?" Jax came in, and Carly theorized that Zacchara knocked out Nik then killed Emily. Jason set out to take care of this himself. He returned to the stables and told Elizabeth about Emily. Liz found something to sedate Nik. Carly asked Nik about the bruise on his face. Delirious and in his own world, he ignored Carly and begged Em to "wake up for me now." Jason and Liz arrived, and everyone got weepy as Nik cradled Em and cooed to her like a child. Carly embraced Jason and followed Jax to check on Jerry. Jason held Nik so Liz could inject him with horse tranquilizer.
In the study, Kate assured Sonny that he will not become another Zacchara in 20 years. Outside, Lulu almost bashed Johnny with a big stick. Johnny explained how his father slowly went nuts over the years. He killed the people who sheltered Johnny when he ran away at age 15. Speaking of Anthony Zacchara, he got into a brief gunfight with Jerry (but thought he was battling his son). Johnny told Lulu he regretted not killing his father years ago, when he had the chance. Lulu told him her mother is in a mental hospital, so she understands. When Logan arrived Lulu said she trusts them both, but will play this Johnny's way. Inside, Kate suggested Sonny retire from the biz; he told her he tried that, but it didn't take. "I like what I do," he beamed. "I know it's wrong [but] I don't want to stop, whatever it costs." Jerry stumbled into the room and collapsed. He said the stab wound from Nik reopened and he's bleeding internally. He told them about hearing Nik scream Emily's name. In the stables, Spinelli told Nadine that Jason won't rest until Emily's killer is hunted down. Sonny left Kate with Jerry (who vowed to take advantage of her).
With Nik sedated, Jason picked up Emily's body just as Sonny entered. "She's dead," Jason said. "She was strangled," Sonny observed. Sonny asked a delirious Nik who did this, and where did he get that bruise on his face.
Nik didn't remember anything, and asked where Emily is. Lulu, Logan and Johnny returned to the stables, where they got the news Emily was strangled. In the foyer, Jax and Carly wondered if Jerry was faking his injury. Jax vowed never to leave Carly. "I love you so much," she replied. She worried how the boys will react to Emily's death. Then she spotted a cell-phone piggyback device and deduced that the person who has been texting her — and the person who killed Leticia — is in the house. Sonny blamed himself for bringing Zacchara down on everyone. "I'm sorry," he said. Sonny looked at Emily's body and lamented that she was going to be a doctor. In the stables, Lulu cried, noting that she's always known Emily and Nik. Nadine made a snide (yet accurate) remark about Lulu finding trouble wherever she goes. Lulu assured Johnny he isn't responsible for what father did. Then she noticed a huge cut on his hand! Elsewhere, Liz tended to Emily's body, then kissed her goodbye and cried as Jason tried to comfort her. Meanwhile, a passed-out Nikolas had a dream of dancing with Emily. Suddenly, he saw himself bound in a chair watching her dance with another version of himself. "Get away from him!" he shouted as they kissed. Then the other Nik strangled her with a cord.
Sonny returned to the study to find Jerry unconscious and Kate gone. That's because Zacchara had snatched her! He intended to make Sonny "play my game."
Friday
Nikolas had a nightmare of watching Emily strangled by a version of himself.
In the stables, Logan questioned how Johnny got what looks like a rope burn on his hands — maybe from strangling someone? Lulu said Anthony killed Emily, but Logan wasn't convinced. She insisted on "helping" again, so she and Johnny left. Jason told Nik that Emily was dead, but Nik thought it was a nightmare. He held her cold hand and begged her to speak to him. "How did this happen to you?" he sobbed. "I was supposed to protect you." Jason asked if Nik recalled what happened, but Lulu and Johnny interrupted. "I did this to her," Nik sobbed. But Lulu didn't believe him, preferring to finger Anthony Zacchara. Coop brought Georgie back to the stables, where Spinelli broke the Emily news. Spinelli suggested it's time for "us men" to act. Arming his little people's army with a hammer and sickle, Spinelli, Logan and Coop set out to help. Jason said, "This isn't right," as he eyed Nik menacingly, but Liz was sure Nik couldn't hurt Emily. They heard gunfire, and Jason ran off. As Liz watched Nik grieve, Zacchara crept in the open door and silently kidnapped Liz.
In the bedroom, Tracy teased the recovering Luke about his heart attack, admitting she'd miss being annoyed by him. Her lamented wasting time as a "prisoner to my past," and wants to live in the future with Tracy. She insisted Monica get his heart condition under control, and he agreed not to die.
Jax told Sonny that Zacchara took Kate. Meanwhile, Zacchara assured Kate that Sonny will play his game. "Women draw men like maggots to rancid meat," he noted. She distracted him with talk of roses. Trevor located Jerry, who noted too many people have seen Zacchara for Trevor to cover it up by having his mercenaries kill all the witnesses. Meanwhile, Zacchara had captured Sonny, who warned that if anything happens to him or Kate, Johnny's head will get blown off. Zacchara claimed he wants his son dead anyway, and challenged Sonny to play Russian roulette with him and Kate. Sonny boasted that he would never be like Zacchara because he'd been to the brink of madness but didn't fall in. Jax and Carly found Jerry, who warned Trevor is eliminating witnesses. Sonny agreed to stay if Kate was allowed to leave.
Zacchara agreed and Kate fled. When Sonny tried to leave Zacchara shot him in the shoulder. "Now you can go," he spat. Sonny stumbled into a bedroom with Kate, who treated his wound. He admitted she appeals to his "better side." He said, "I have more hope when I'm with you." She said vowed to give him the best night of his life, and they kissed. Then he passed out! A gunman burst in, but Kate said he was too late. Trevor located Zacchara and ordered the mercs: "Find Corinthos and kill him. Make it look like Anthony Zacchara did it." But don't hurt Kate. Trevor ordered Zacchara to go to the boat, but the madman bristled at Trevor giving orders. Meanwhile, Spinelli, Coop and Logan arrived in the bushes. They pretended to be police and called for the baddies to surrender. Spinelli hammered a guy, then noticed his "partners" had disappeared. Logan had chosen that moment to go inside and tell Luke and Tracy that Emily was strangled. Luke tried to go to Nik, but suffered another heart attack.
Jason found Carly wandering and ordered her to go back to Jax. In the ballroom, Nik shouted, "It doesn't work without you!" He fetched a nearby revolver and held it to his chest. "I can't stay here without you," he told Emily. Meanwhile, up on the parapet, Jason found Zacchara, who had Liz perched on the ledge. He threatened to push her off unless Jason climbed up and jumped in her place. Jason silently took his place next to Liz. In the foyer, Carly opened a door — and was garroted by an unseen man!
