In his studio, Franco reviewed the photos he took of Maxie and started smashing things. Just then, his agent arrived with coffee. "Next time, knock first," Franco sneered. Franco confessed that he was using Maxie as bait to get to know another "artist."

At the penthouse, Jason feared that Franco witnessed the recent shooting but couldn't figure out why Franco would have disguised himself as a homeless man.

At Crimson, Spinelli entered while Maxie was trying to get Franco on the phone. Spinelli was concerned about her after she was "sick" on Thanksgiving. Maxie tried to ignore her guilt and slipped that she trashed her life. Maxie made it seem that she was referring to not landing Franco for the photo shoot. Spinelli offered to treat Maxie to a spa day, but she didn't want to leave work.

On the docks, Lulu was shocked to overhear Sonny's incriminating tape recording. Dominic insisted that Lulu see the other side of Sonny, that of a cold-blooded killer. Lulu then asked why Dom hasn't busted him yet. Dominic admitted that he's been having second thoughts about hurting Sonny's family. Lulu suggested that Dom go with his gut.

At Kelly's, Sonny was surprised to find Olivia in the kitchen. Olivia stated that Mike cut his hand and she offered to help out for the day. Sonny asked for the chili with extra peppers. Mike showed up and Olivia ended up getting criticism from both men on how to prepare her chili. Liv challenged Sonny to do a better job than her. They each prepared their own pot of chili. As they reminisced and tasted, Dominic walked in and was very uncomfortable watching Sonny get close to Olivia. Dominic walked outside, called Ronnie
and said he had the proof he needed. Back inside, Olivia tried Sonny's chili and deemed it "not bad." Sonny leaned in and kissed her.

Diane visited Elizabeth, who shared the news of her engagement to Lucky. She was seeking Diane's advice; Diane wondered why Liz wouldn't accept a loan from Jason. Liz insisted that she needed to do this without Jason's help. Later, Nikolas stopped in and offered to help them buy their dream house. Lucky arrived and Liz felt like she was a whore when she fantasized that Lucky threw money at her. Liz then covered, and declined Nikolas's offer. Nik left and Lucky asked what was really going on. Liz stated she was just in a bad mood. Lucky assured her that everything was going to be fine.
Later, Lucky caught Nikolas on the docks and apologized for Liz's behavior. He blamed himself for pushing Elizabeth too hard about their engagement. Lucky asked Nik if he should set Liz free.

Spinelli returned to the penthouse and kvetched to Jason and Sam about Maxie and her obsession with Franco. Jason had Spinelli run a background check on Franco, his agent and anyone else he's involved with. Spinelli noted that Franco hasn't been seen in public in over three years, but has been back in the U.S. for the last two months.

Sam went to Crimson to see Maxie and question her about Franco. Maxie just wanted to talk about shoes. Sam stated that Spinelli was concerned about her. Maxie mentioned in passing that at the gallery showing, Franco called Jason an artist.... Lulu tried to console Maxie, but Maxie insisted that she could forget about the tryst.... Franco grabbed his agent, ripped off her shirt and threw her down on the couch. Franco said they'd have to hurry, as he was expecting company.... Jason received Franco's photo of a blindfolded Maxie lying on the floor.... Dominic turned over the tape to Ronnie.

Tuesday

At Kelly's, Olivia recalled her kiss with Sonny, then served him his chili. Sonny was teasing her about the kiss when Johnny came in. Sonny paid for his meal, gave her a $50 tip and left.

Robin showed up at Elizabeth's, as she was reviewing old photos. Liz mentioned her and Lucky's move. Robin dropped the bomb that she knows about the affair. Liz spilled her guts to Robin about her fears of Lucky finding out and how she and Nik can't keep away from each other. She even mentioned the constant fantasies of Lucky finding. "You need to stop torturing yourself," Robin advised.

At the penthouse, Jason showed Maxie the photo he received. Maxie spilled about the night at Franco's photo studio, but stopped short of mentioning the tryst. Maxie also mentioned that Franco considered Jason an artist and maybe he was using the photo to try and meet him.

On the docks, Jax told Dominic to step up his investigation. Jax stated that when the truth comes out that Dominic's a cop, Jax intends to stay out of it.

At Jake's, Lucky discussed his reservations about pressuring Liz with Nikolas. He considered calling off the wedding.

Epiphany was giving Patrick a hard time when Matt and Lisa walked by. Matt mentioned a job opening on staff for an orthopedic surgeon and advised Lisa to consider it. Lisa asked Patrick what he thought about the idea but then an accident victim came into the E.R.

Sonny met with Dominic and revealed details about the ambush and asked him to take out Joey Limbo's collaborator. Dom was still unhappy about Sonny and Olivia's newfound closeness. Sonny then changed his mind, stating that Dominic was too valuable and mentioned he'd be dead if it wasn't for Dominic. Sonny assigned the task to Johnny instead. Dom was stunned, then asked Sonny if he was doing that to endanger Johnny, so he'd have Olivia all to himself.

At G.H., Robin arrived and found Matt pestering Epiphany about Patrick and Lisa still being in surgery. Robin told Matt to act professionally.

At Jake's, Elizabeth bumped into Nikolas. Nik advised Liz to
come clean with Lucky. Liz was angry that Nik appeared to want her to take the blame. He suggested that she take Lucky up on his offer to call off the engagement. Liz insisted that Lucky was the man she wanted and stormed out.

On the docks, Maxie called Lucky to meet her and tried to enlist his aid to find Franco. She needed to find Franco to talk him into destroying the photos he took of her before Spinelli found them. Lucky said he'd run a background check but there wasn't much else he could to.

Sam came to the penthouse and Jason showed her the photo. They wondered if this photo was related to the one they received of Claudia's dead body. Sam suggested that they meet with Franco. On their way out, they bumped into Spinelli, who wanted to help. Spinelli set up shop at the desk, unaware his laptop rested on the envelope containing Franco's photo of Maxie.

Jax went to Kelly's and filled Olivia in on the incriminating tape. He advised Liv to make her peace with Sonny, since he was going to be heading to jail. Olivia was furious that Jax was going to emerge from the whole experience unscathed while she and Dom had to live with all the blame and guilt.

Maxie showed up at the penthouse, just as Spinelli noticed the envelope containing her photo.

Jason and Sam showed up at the gallery, where they were greeted by a man who said, "We've been expecting you."

Wednesday

At the gallery, the attendant informed Jason and Sam that Franco was expecting them and that he had a gift for Jason. Sam played along and said Jason was a fellow artist. Jason then asked the attendant where he might be able to find Franco to thank him. The attendant only had Franco's agent's phone number.

Sonny wondered why Dominic was interested in his relationship with Olivia. Dominic apologized, saying he was out of line. Sonny then said there's always a reason for what he does and if anything were to happen, it would have to be Olivia's choice.

At Kelly's, Kristina ran into Ethan buying coffee. Kiefer walked in and after Ethan split, he accused Kristina of hitting on the Aussie. Carly walked in on the tail end of their argument and saw Kiefer storm out. A concerned Carly later mentioned the confrontation to Sonny. Sonny replied that if there was a problem, his daughter would come to him when she's ready.

Luke took Tracy to Jake's for karaoke night. She was not amused. Well, not at first.... Robin joined Patrick and Lisa, where they discussed the surgery they'd just completed. Robin introduced Lisa to Coleman. They trio was surprised to see Mac and Alexis arrive together. Mac ordered them beers but Alexis asked for an iced tea — Long Island style. Diane and Max joined them. Diane was the first to sing, and wowed the crowd with her selection. After a drink, Alexis and Mac got up and raised the roof with their version of "Dancing In The Streets." Their song ended in a kiss between the commish and ex-D.A. Later, Luke and Ethan did a lively father/son routine of "Stray Cat Strut," and Tracy even got up and danced along with the guys.

At the penthouse, Maxie took the manila envelope out of Spinelli's hand without telling him of its incriminating contents. She reaffirmed her love for Spinelli and insisted that nothing was more important to her than him. She then began kissing him passionately.

In his studio, Franco drank wine while shooting blood-red paintballs at pictures of the citizens of Port Charles.

Olivia was waiting for Johnny at his garage. She admitted that she missed him, too. She was honest and confessed that she kissed Sonny. She added that Johnny, not Corinthos, is the man she wants to be with.

Dominic learned from Ronnie that his recording wasn't enough evidence to arrest Sonny. Dejected, Dom joined Lulu at Jake's but later left. Lulu went after him. Dom confided in her that Sonny should have been arrested that night but got away yet again. Dom was torn as to what to do next. They embraced.

As the evening wound down at Jake's, Max asked Diane to dance, Mac asked Alexis, Patrick asked Robin, Ethan asked Lisa and Tracy grabbed Luke. Across town, as they pondered what to do about the "gift" of Franco's painting, Jason and Sam shared a passionate kiss.

Thursday

Lucky showed up at Wyndemere and told his brother that he was dreading breaking his engagement with Elizabeth. "It's the right thing to do," Lucky sighed. He then asked Nikolas to be there for Liz in the aftermath. Nik tried to be supportive but was riddled with guilt. Nikolas pointed out that Liz would stay with him out of loyalty, but Lucky insisted that she needed to be with him for love.

At G.H., Robin advised Elizabeth to make up her mind. Liz opened up and discussed her sexual history and stated that Nikolas touched a part of her that she'd never known before. Liz wished it would all just go away. Robin pointed out that since Nikolas is a part of her family, he's not going anywhere.

At the garage, Johnny asked Olivia to spend the night. They kissed. Just then, Sonny walked in. Olivia kindly asked Sonny to leave; he complied. Johnny said she could go after him but Liv claimed she didn't want to do that. She did admit to having feelings for Sonny, however, but assured Johnny that she'd never act on them.

Maxie went to the penthouse and Jason said he needed to interrogate her about Franco, "And don't leave anything out," he added. As Maxie reluctantly answered Jason's questions, Spinelli arrived. Maxie covered, stating she was there to decorate "the mancave." As Maxie rambled on, Jason lost his temper and demanded that either she help him find Franco or leave. Maxie ran out. Spinelli chastised Jason for treating his beloved that way and went after her. Jason told Sam he was just concerned about the Franco threat. Sam decided to try again with Maxie, but in a sweeter way.

Jax summoned Dominic to his office. An irate Dominic told Jax that there was not enough evidence to bring Sonny in. Jax was frustrated. Dom shot down Jax's idea of planting evidence. Jax retaliated by threatening to make some calls and have Dom taken off the case.

Kate showed up at Sonny's to discuss a property matter and realized that Sonny must have had a fight with Olivia. She pointed out that Sonny had the same look back in high school. Sonny asked Kate if she had any regrets. Kate chuckled and said only that she wasted so much time on Sonny, since he's still in love with her cousin. Kate said she wasn't placing any blame but maybe Sonny needed to fulfill his destiny with Olivia. Just then, Dominic arrived. Kate bid a hasty adieu. Dom reported that Joey Limbo's death worked out in Sonny's favor and then questioned Sonny again about Claudia's death. Sonny was suspicious.

Lucky arrived to question Jax, who revealed his thoughts on the night of Claudia's disappearance. Off the record, Jax said he believed Sonny killed Claudia. Lucky went to G.H. looking to pick up Liz for their date. He bumped into Rebecca, who informed Lucky that she and Nik were through. Lucky mentioned that must have been the reason why Nikolas was so detached earlier. Lucky advised Rebecca to hang in there. Later, Rebecca showed up at Wyndemere, intent on seducing Nikolas. Meanwhile, at the site of their dream house, Lucky told Liz they shouldn't get married.

Spinelli went to Crimson to console Maxie. She said she didn't blame Jason, and was also frustrated she couldn't get a hold of Franco. As Sam went to talk to Maxie, Spinelli returned home and Jason apologized. Together, they searched Franco's painting for another clue.

Olivia went to work and Jax informed her that Dominic had no case yet against Sonny. At the end of her rope, Olivia didn't know how to feel but stated that she was going to have to tell Dominic and Sonny the truth.

Friday

"Mom's going to kill you," Morgan warned Michael, who had skipped school. Sure enough, Carly gave her eldest son the third degree...and learned he'd gone to the cabin where he'd killed Claudia. Alarmed by Michael's cavalier attitude, Carly summoned Sonny. "What the hell were you thinking, going back to the cabin?" raged Sonny, adding that he wasn't happy about the school-skipping, either. He didn't need school, since he plans to go into the family business, shrugged Michael. "You will never, ever be like me," vowed a horrified Sonny. After Michael left, Carly and Sonny argued about how to turn Michael around. Later, Lucky dropped in with questions about Claudia, explaining that Carly's story about the night Josslyn was born didn't add up. Michael interrupted and insisted his mother didn't know anything about Claudia's death. That's interesting, noted Lucky, since no one said anything about Claudia being dead.

At Jason's, he and Spinelli analyzed Franco's painting for clues. "I have to find out exactly what Franco knows," a tense Jason exclaimed. "We need to find Franco before something bad goes down." The duo found numbers which led to an address that, according to computer records, was rented to a Jason Morgan. Jason snuck into Franco's studio to look around and unbeknownst to him, was being watched.

Jax tried to persuade Olivia not to tell Sonny and Dominic they were father and son. The truth wouldn't change anything for the better, argued Jax, insisting he and Liv were on the same side. He added that he hoped when everything is over, they'd still be friends. "That depends if my son is still alive," snapped Olivia. Outside Jax's office, Olivia got a call from Sonny, which Jax overheard.

Dante stopped by Lulu's and the two played Rock Band. "Lady freaking Hendrix," marveled an impressed Dante of Lulu's guitar prowess. Dante had less success, to Lulu's amusement. Still, his effort was rewarded with a kiss...which was interrupted by a call from Jax. At his office, Jax suggested Dante hightail it to Sonny's before Olivia spilled the beans. Meanwhile, Olivia arrived at Sonny's to find a romantic dinner he'd arranged for them.

Elizabeth was stunned that Lucky had broken their engagement. "Marriage obviously isn't what you want right now," Lucky explained. "It's not you," a weepy Liz told Lucky. "I've done terrible things." Lucky pleaded with her to tell him what was going on, adding, "I love you enough to let you go." Liz pleaded with him not to give up on her. He wouldn't, promised Lucky, but he could see she was terrified about something. "You have to decide what you want," Lucky gently insisted. "All I want is to be your wife," Liz replied. Meanwhile, at Wyndemere, Nikolas halted Rebecca's seduction attempt. What they had wasn't real, Nikolas explained — she was just a substitute for someone he can't have. "I can't keep pretending you're someone you're not," he added. She was willing to do whatever it takes to make it work, cried Rebecca. With apologies for being harsh, Nik said he just didn't care enough to make it work.

Later, while Lucky consoled a humiliated Rebecca at the hospital, Liz went to Wyndemere to tell Nikolas she'd talked Lucky out of breaking their engagement. Was she really going to ignore everything between them? asked an incredulous Nik. He refused to believe it was over between them, pointing out that if Elizabeth hadn't wanted to see him, she could have just picked up the phone to tell him she was still getting married. He pulled Liz into a kiss, and they ended up in bed...where Rebecca later spied them!
