GH Week of October 19, 2009
Monday
Johnny tried unsuccessfully to get Jason to stop investigating Claudia. Jason went to meet Sam to discuss the Devlin leads. Jason asked Sam to accompany him to one of Devlin's last places of residence. There, in the basement, Sam thought she found something in the vent. Just then, they heard someone in the house.
Sonny ordered Olivia to stay out of Claudia's space, as a hidden Michael eavesdropped. As Olivia continued her rant, Michael burst in and spoke in Claudia's defense. Sonny ordered his son to show Olivia some respect. Liv apologized to Michael for upsetting him and left.
At Metro Court, Dominic refused to give into Claudia's demands for sex. He cited his own background for not wanting to bring a child into this world. Dominic pointed out that if Claudia were to give him up to Sonny, Olivia would have no reason to stay away from Johnny anymore. Dom left, and a furious Claudia threw a glass against the wall.
At G.H., Lucky refused to listen to Helena's ramblings. Ethan showed up and Helena asked for some time alone with Lucky's brother. "I need to tell you a secret," Helena smiled. Ethan pledged allegiance to Lucky and the guys left together. Tracy then arrived and wanted Helena to confirm Luke's story about being held captive. Tracy threatened to have Helena kicked out of "her" hospital. Luke entered and told Helena that she researched Helena's story about Valentin Cassadine and he thought it was bunk. He said Valentin was dead but Helena noted that while it appeared that way, Val was merely biding his time, waiting to strike out against their families.
At Elizabeth's art studio, a panicked Elizabeth told Nikolas that Helena knows about their affair. Nik remained calm, but Liz got very upset. Liz was afraid to go forward with the wedding for fear of making matters worse with Lucky. Liz thought they should just go back to being friends but wondered if they could. Nikolas kissed Liz and left.
Dominic bumped into Lulu, and he thanked her for her earlier advice about sleeping with the boss's wife. Alone on the docks, he came across some strange graffiti.
Claudia summoned Johnny to the hotel room. As she drank champagne, she lamented to her brother about not having another child. Johnny tried to point out that their lifestyle wasn't conducive to child-rearing. Claudia still believed it was possible for her to get everything she wants.
Anthony had Olivia summoned to prison for a chat. He asked her why she deserved to live. Olivia stated that she was going to give Johnny all the support she could, despite his dysfunctional family members. Anthony was impressed by Liv's spunk and decided to let her live — for now. Liv left and Johnny showed up, furious to discover that his father had summoned Olivia there. Anthony said he liked Olivia. Johnny threatened Anthony's life if anything happened to Olivia. Anthony pointed out that Johnny had become his father's son.
Nik went to see Helena and told her to be gone. Helena mentioned the Valetin threat but Nik said he didn't care. Helena then warned that he wouldn't want her to spill anything to Lucky.... Lucky met Liz and brought her to the Spencer house, where Audrey, Lesley, Bobbie and the rest of the family was waiting for them. Lucky said he and Liz had an announcement to make.... Sonny needed to take a business trip — and asked Claudia to accompany him. Claudia was pleased and accepted.
Tuesday
While checking out the house where Devlin last resided, Jason and Sam found an unconscious pregnant woman. They managed to get her to safety and deliver her child, a little girl. Sam recalled losing her own baby daughter.
Later, Jason checked in with Jax about Carly. Jax assured Jason that Carly was fine. Jax explained about Carly's premature labor.
At the Spencer house, the family was thrilled about Lucky and Liz's plans to remarry. Luke, however, was skeptical. Luke proposed a toast to the happy couple, then welcomed Ethan into the family. Lulu gave Ethan the lowdown on the Spencer clan. Lesley documented the occasion for Laura, who is still in France. Bobbie was happy that Luke was finally living up to his paternal responsibilities. During the party, Luke sensed Liz's apprehension about remarrying, though she denied it.
At G.H., Rebecca broke up Nikolas's talk with Helena. "And people think I'm narcissistic," Helena scoffed at Rebecca. Nik planned to send Helena away. She asked to go to Switzerland because if she went back to Greece, she
feared Valentin would kill her.
At Olivia's, after an intense session of lovemaking, Johnny asked Olivia, "Do you want to be with me?" Johnny promised he could be discreet, then kissed her. Suddenly Dominic burst in. Liv made a good excuse to leave and let the boys duke it out. Dom shared that Sonny and Claudia have left the country. Dom left, and Olivia returned and apologized to Johnny for breaking up with him. They kissed.
At the lake house, Michael confronted Kristina about skipping school. Krissy blurted out that she had sex with Kiefer. She said she was on the pill and they used condoms. Michael was livid.
Jax caught Dominic searching for info on Sonny. Jax hoped he'd find something to send Sonny to prison for good. "Do you understand that?" Jax asked. "That's all I want!"
Elizabeth sneaked out and told Nikolas that she was marrying Lucky. She told him she didn't want to give up everything for a man she could never have. Nikolas was despondent.
Wednesday
Spinelli found Jason and Sam asleep on the sofa. The pair recounted their adventure of last night, which entailed finding a pregnant woman at the house where Ian had stayed. She'd passed out but Jason and Sam got her to the hospital in time to save the baby.
Jax informed Carly that Sonny was out of town. Carly got angry that Sonny didn't give her any warning about leaving. She then thanked Jax for being so concerned with her health during her pregnancy. Jax went to work, where Alexis dropped by to talk about Michael. He mentioned that he planned to tell Carly the truth about Jerry's involvement in Michael's shooting after the baby was born. Jax said he was prepared for the worst regarding Carly's reaction.
Dominic met Ronnie, whose hand was in a cast. They discussed Zacchara loyalist Johnny Limbo going after Sonny. Ronnie worried that Dom was in too deep but Dominic assured his colleague that he could take care of himself. He then pointed out the strange graffiti. Ronnie said he never saw it before.
In Puerto Rico, Sonny set up his business meeting and told Claudia that he'd need her help to pull it off. Claudia enjoyed seeing Sonny's cut-throat side. Sonny asked his wife to spread the word to the Zacchara loyalists that Sonny was indeed the man in charge. Claudia happily pledged her support. She put on her best red dress and looked stunning. "Let's do it," Sonny said before they headed out. At the meeting, Claudia talked up Sonny to the attendees. When one of the men gave Claudia a hard time, Sonny stood by his
wife.
At G.H., Robin and Patrick counted their blessings with Emma. then, Patrick blamed himself for not seeing through his "friend" Ian Devlin. They looked at Ian's files on the computer, which were all checked out. They figured Spinelli was investigating. Jason and Sam showed up and the couples compared notes on Ian. Robin and Patrick vowed to get to the bottom of the Devlin investigation.
Diane bumped into Max at the hospital. He tried to grab a woman walking by to make Diane jealous; she took off. When Max went to leave, Diane told him that she doesn't think of him as a "love puppet." Diane was happy that Max was okay after getting hit by Edward's car at the carnival but their conversation quickly turned into an argument about Louise and her "new man" in Philadelphia. Diane stormed off, and Max just sighed.
Michael came home and told Carly that he feared that something bad was going to come from his memories. She wanted to help her son but didn't want to push the issue. Michael admitted that he worried there were more people involved in his shooting other than Ian. Just then, Jax entered. Suddenly, Michael had a memory. "It was Jax's brother, Jerry," Michael blurted out.
Alexis ran into Sam at the hospital. Alexis then thanked Robin for clearing her name in the Brianna Hughes murder. Robin mentioned that she was looking into Ian's activities. Alexis went to Jason and asked him to keep Sam out of the Devlin investigation.
Dominic asked Spinelli to look into the mystery graffiti. Dom then started asking questions about Sonny's money laundering capabilities. Spinelli was stunned that the strange "tag" came up with nothing. The action then shifted back to a mystery location where the graffiti was splashed with red paint — or possibly blood.
Thursday
At The Haunted Star, Luke tried to soothe an irritated Tracy, while Ethan tried to smooth things over with Rebecca. His pleas for Rebecca to drop Nikolas fell on deaf ears. Just then, Nik showed up. Luke and Tracy watched as the boys started sniping at one another. Nikolas took Rebecca's arm and they left. Luke advised Ethan not to shoot his mouth off to Nikolas until he had a plan of action. He also advised Ethan to be careful in pitting Spencers versus Cassadines.
Carly wanted to know what Jerry told Michael during his coma. Michael lied that Jerry was just concerned about his recovery. Carly was suspicious.
Spinelli was frustrated that he couldn't find any information on the mystery graffiti that Dominic brought to his attention. Dom was more concerned about Joey Limbo making his move against Sonny. Dom almost got Spinelli to give away valuable business info but Lulu arrived to drop off Maxie's Halloween costume. Dom asked Lulu out for Halloween and she cheerfully turned him down. Spinelli chided Dominic for his attitude with, "The Original Blonde One."
In Puerto Rico, Sonny was determined to make waves to prove that he was still the boss. Sonny accused his host, Senor Verde, of betrayal. Sonny told the attendees that Verde has sided with Anthony over Sonny, and that was not tolerable. The men assured Sonny of their allegiance to him and not Zacchara. As Sonny and Claudia got up to leave, Verde pulled a gun — and so did Claudia. Sonny ordered Verde to drop his weapon. He complied and the other men carted the traitor away. Sonny left, confident he made his point about who was in charge. Back in their room, the Sonny poured his wife a drink and Claudia shared that it was her birthday. Sonny promised her a big party when they got back to Port Charles.
Jason and Sam talked about the fact that Alexis was not a big fan of their reunion. They also discussed Claudia's culpability in Michael's shooting. In going through files, Sam found a DVD, marked one week before Michael's shooting. Jason was convinced it would be the proof they needed to nail Claudia.
Carly and Olivia discussed her breakup with Johnny. Liv said she didn't want to talk about it. Later, Johnny sneaked over to Olivia's, where they embraced and kissed.
Dom followed Lulu to The Haunted Star and she introduced him to Luke. After, Lulu asked Dom if he ever thought about finding his own dad. The pair then headed to Kelly's for cider, as Dom continued to dodge her questions about his origin.
Alone, Jax and Michael agreed that they needed to keep Carly calm until the baby's arrival. Then, Jax asked Michael what he really remembered about Jerry's visit.
Friday
Michael tried to avoid talking about Jerry with Jax. As Jax said he blamed Sonny for Michael's shooting, Carly walked in with a present from Lady Jane.
In Puerto Rico, Sonny had a nightmare about Michael's shooting. Sonny relived the horror with Claudia and confessed that he's still guilt-ridden over what happened to his boy. Claudia told Sonny not to waste time mulling over things he can't change. She advised him to spend the time he has with his kids. Sonny thanked Claudia for her kindness, then decided to take his wife out for a night on the town.
Jason and Sam listened to Ian's taped phone conversation and Jason thought he heard Claudia's voice. He finally had the proof he needed to take to Sonny, he thought. Spinelli pointed out that it was only one word and they couldn't prove the voice was Claudia's. Spinelli was worried about Jason's conviction and wondered if his vendetta wasn't affecting his thinking. When
Spinelli stuck up for Claudia, Jason told his sidekick to leave.
Kate arrived at Olivia's, prompting Johnny to sneak out. Kate warned her cousin that if she doesn't come clean with Sonny, someone was going to end up dead. Olivia said that she was keeping quiet to keep Dom safe. Kate called her cousin selfish and left.
At Kelly's, Dominic told Lulu that when he was 14, he tracked down the guys he thought might be his father. Dom mentioned when he found one he thought was his dad, he didn't want to mess up the man's new family life, and gave up his investigation. Lulu was impressed with Dominic's humanity. After she left, Kristina arrived to meet Kiefer, who was nowhere to be found. Krissy asked Dom and boys and sex. Kristina feared Kiefer might have dumped her after they had sex. Dominic told her to always demand respect and offered to "pound" Kiefer for her. Dom left and Michael joined his sister. Michael had another memory about Jerry. This time, Jerry identified Claudia as the guilty party. Michael shared the news with Krissy. "What are you going to do?" she asked.
Jason went to Robin and Patrick for assistance. Though they were
sympathetic, they couldn't let him look through patients records. He then wondered what happened to the contents of Ian's hospital locker. Patrick and Robin allowed Jason and Sam to check lost and found. They found Ian's duffle-bag containing clothes, cash and CDs. They took the bag and left. Patrick was thrilled to find his favorite t-shirt. Robin got insecure, fearing the shirt reminded Patrick of his wild single days. Patrick assured his wife that he was very happy with his life.
Kate went to Jake's and had a drink to calm her nerves after her fight with Olivia. Kate considered her options, and wanted to do a makeover on Coleman. Just then, Dominic entered. Kate went over and said, "Cousin Connie's going to buy you a drink, and you're going to listen to what she has to say." Kate then advised Dominic to go back to Brooklyn but he refused.
Back at the penthouse, Jason found the smoking gun — one of the CD's had Claudia discussing Sonny's hit with Ian and Jerry. "You were right," marveled Sam. "It was Claudia all along."
