GH Week of October 20, 2008
Monday
In the Mexican cantina, Tracy was about to be carted off for bribing an officer while Luke appeared not to care. Luke bought the officer a drink and complained about being married to this "wily witch." "You have my sympathies, amigo," the officer replied. Luke also declared that, "She's the most fun I've ever had." Luke continued getting the officer drunk while singing Tracy's praises. The officer then demanded a dance with Tracy. Luke defended his wife and he and the officer struggled. After hitting Luke with a bottle — twice — Tracy managed to knock out the officer. Then, another one showed up and placed them both under arrest.
Alexis walked out on Sam's terrace and caught Sam in the hot tub with Jerry. Alexis advised her daughter to get an attorney. Sam accused Jerry of setting him up and pointed out that Sam has Karpov's PDA. Jerry admitted he has a PDA and if Alexis checked it, it will bring her nothing but misery. Sam explained how she was working Jerry for months to bust Karpov. Alexis checked the PDA, which contained only restaurant listings. Sam insisted that Jerry was lying. Just then, Mac arrived with a search warrant. Alexis told
Sam that she should have gone to the authorities. Mac then found a batch of counterfeit drugs.
On the docks, Karpov demanded to know if Jason was behind Sonny's attack. Jason said he and Sonny are no longer partners and that Sonny has "new friends" now.
Sonny told Anthony that if they were to join forces, he has final say and his first order is taking out Karpov. Anthony said before that can happen, Sonny need to prove his loyalty. He suggested that Sonny marry Claudia. "Hell, no," Sonny replied. Anthony said he'd try not to be insulted but marrying Claudia would make them family and family doesn't turn their back on family. Sonny insisted his word was enough but Anthony wasn't buying. Sonny walked out.
Spinelli called out from his padded room at Shadybrook until a doctor entered to see him. The doctor remained convinced that Spinelli was a mental patient. In the hall, Maxie implored Lulu to help get Spinelli sprung. Lulu appealed to the doctor that she was having a breakthrough and needed someone to talk to. The ruse worked and Maxie sprung Spinelli from the padded room. They hid out in Lulu's room but had no strategy on how to exit the grounds.
Rick met Claudia at the Metro Court restaurant. The two flirted shamelessly and agreed that love, if it exists, is most elusive. Later that night, Claudia returned in search of an item she left behind and found Sonny, who broke the news that Anthony wanted them to get married.
At G.H., Patrick tried in vain to get Robin to take maternity leave early. She promised him that she's feeling fine and he's way more stressed than she is. They kissed. Robin insisted that it was okay for Patrick to have a bachelor party. She didn't doubt his commitment one bit.
Jason showed up to visit Kate but Olivia wanted some answers. Jason insisted that he's out to keep Sonny safe. Jason then asked Kate to talk to Sonny and get him to stay out of the mob war. Kate pointed out that it's Jason's betrayal that is really driving Sonny. Jason turned around and left.
Jerry met with Karpov and told him about planting the drugs in Sam's apartment.... Jason went to Zacchara and warned hi to stay away from Sonny.
Tuesday
With Maxie and Spinelli in disguise, Scott entered Lulu's room and assumed they were trying to break Lulu out of Shadybrook. The kids laid into Scott for coming down so hard on Lulu. Scott refused to leave Lulu behind with the "escape artists," so Spinelli suggested that they all leave together and they did. Scott insisted he was only looking out for Lulu's best interests. Later, Lulu visited Laura, unaware that Scott was eavesdropping and heard
her confess to killing Logan.
At her apartment, Sam was vehement about her innocence. Alexis advised Sam to stop talking, as she was just digging herself into a hole. When Lucky showed up to see what was happening, Sam kept up the ruse and told Lucky to get out. Sam was arrested and brought to the PCPD. There, she saw Jerry and exploded. Mac told Jerry to watch his step and, once alone in the interrogation room, Sam said to Lucky that she can still nail Jerry. Lucky admitted he was not happy to hear about Sam being caught in the hot tub with
Jerry. Meanwhile, Alexis told Jerry to stay away from her and her daughter.
Jason warned Anthony that if he tried to use Sonny against him, he'd make sure the Zacchara organization was shut down for good. Anthony wheeled himself out, laughing maniacally. Then, Jason pointed out that Ric finally got what he wanted, now that Sonny and Jason are at odds.
At Metro Court, Claudia was horrified to hear that her father promised her hand in marriage to Sonny, even though Sonny made it clear that it would never happen. Claudia went straight home and laid into her father for promising her away in a business deal. Anthony stated that she should be pleased that he has that much faith in her. Johnny entered and Claudia brought him up to speed. Claudia weighed her options about what to do next to keep her power.
At G.H., Epiphany snapped when Robin and Patrick invited her to the wedding. The surprised bride-and-groom-to-be tentatively asked why she was being short. She replied that she's not looking forward to their fighting over the wedding, even though they assured her they were both fine with everything. Just then, Robin decided to go home early and rest, leaving Patrick to deal with Epiphany solo.
At G.H., Kate insisted to Sonny they could still have a future without the mob but Sonny said that he must retaliate and if she can't stay with him because of that, "Then I understand," he claimed.
Robin met Jason at Metro Court, where she told him that she was marrying Patrick. Jason offered his congratulations but turned down her invitation to attend. She thanked him for bringing love back into her life after Stone died.
Olivia showed up to visit Kate. When Patrick inquired about Kate's family, Olivia countered by asking how Patrick would like it if his daughter were to marry Sonny. That shut him up! When Olivia visited Kate, Sonny left. Olivia noted that Dante was just like his father. In the hall, Olivia overheard Sonny tell Mike he was considering aligning with the Zaccharas — but there was a catch. "As an act of good faith, I have to marry Claudia," he blurted. Olivia was shocked.
Wednesday
At Metro Court, Carly and Jax sniped over Nikolas's offer to buy Carly's
hotel shares. She accused him of being cavalier about the divorce. He
couldn't believe she'd say something like that.
In the Mexican jail, Tracy couldn't take Luke's snoring any longer and ran
her tray across the bars until he woke up. As they bickered, a beautiful
woman arrived and bailed Luke out ‹ but not Tracy. Needless to say, Mrs.
Spencer was not pleased. Later, Luke returned to Tracy, who was still
burning up about Luke and his "tortilla chippie." Luke explained that he'd
rescued the gal from a card game and she owed him a favor. Luke sprung Tracy
and they headed back to the cantina but the bartender refused them entry ‹
until Luke had Tracy pay him off. Once inside, they were frustrated with
having to sit tight until they heard from Edward about dropping the money
laundering charges against Luke so he could re-enter the U.S.
At the clinic, Nikolas and Nadine still couldn't talk to each other after
their night of love. Patrick entered and Nadine pretended they had a date,
which of course, was news to Patrick. Afterward, Nikolas made it clear that
he was hoping to ask her out but she obviously had plans. Leyla told Nadine
she was acting foolish.
At Shadybrook, Lulu saw Johnny looking at her through the window. She ran
into the hallway but he was gone. Lulu doubted her sanity aloud, unaware
that Johnny was actually hiding around the corner, crushed to see that she
wasn't doing well. Meanwhile, Trevor met Johnny for drinks, where he told
Johnny that sneaking in to see Lulu wasn't smart. Johnny wasn't pleased that Trevor was having him followed.
At G.H., Epiphany and Elizabeth advised Robin that she needed to let go of
her job responsibilities and prepare for her maternity leave. Lainey chimed
in, agreeing that Robin is a control freak. Meanwhile, the girls were
secretly planning Robin's surprise baby shower. Later, Robin was suspicious
when Epiphany informed her that all her appointments for the day had
cancelled. Patrick vowed to take her away and show her a good time. Patrick
took Robin to lunch at Jake's and found the place empty. Just then, the
lights went on and the gang jumped out shouting, "Surprise!" Robin was
touched and thrilled that her friends didn't listen to her when she said she
didn't want a shower. They all toasted to momma, poppa and baby. Robin
celebrated with her girls and they were all so touched at how much in love
Patrick and Robin are.
Maxie barged in on Jason and Spinelli at the coffeehouse and stole The
Jackal away, saying she desperately needed his help. They went to see Lulu
at Shadybrook and Spinelli determined that Lulu could not have written the
blackmail not he received. They pointed out that the handwriting was
different. When Lulu went to share the news with Laura, Maxie and Spinelli
spotted Trevor in the hall.
At the Metro Court restaurant, Claudia laid into Ric, assuming he knew about Anthony's plans to have Sonny marry Claudia. Ric was stunned when he learned what was going on and said Sonny would never go through with it. Claudia, on the other hand, pointed out that if Sonny wants revenge against Karpov, this would be the way to go. Ric was livid.
Carly went to see Jason, who informed her about Sonny's actions. Carly was
saddened to hear about Sonny but told Jason that he needs to do what's best
for him. Later, Nikolas met with Carly to sign the stock papers but she
pointed out that Jax was meeting a mystery woman and things weren't good. At the table, the woman was amused that Jax was planning to buy Spoon Island out from underneath Nikolas.... Claudia went to see Jason to fill him in.
Thursday
Back in the cantina, Luke told Tracy the reason he went on a bender was
because she left him after they'd gone on their trip and she returned home.
Tracy said she didn't want to be his ball and chain but Luke corrected her
by saying that he enjoyed that. Tracy huffed that she was a fool to consider
him with anything but contempt. "I require indoor plumbing ... so I came
home," she blustered. "We're a great team," he shot back. Tracy ended up
drinking with Luke. They both got snockered and realized that Edward wasn't
going to help them. They decided to head to the border but Luke passed out.
At Shadybrook, Lulu told Laura that she was feeling better and was ready to
leave the institution. Spinelli and Maxie showed up to tell Lulu that they
suspected Trevor was the person who's been gaslighting her. They left to
dig up the proof while a shadowy figure watched Lulu with Laura. After
visiting Laura, Lulu left the room and found another note telling her she
needed to pay for killing Logan.
At Metro Court, Carly fumed while she saw Jax speaking with the mystery
woman, who was really secretly working with him to help buy Spoon island out
from under Nikolas. Across the room, Carly analyzed Jax's body language and
told Nikolas that Jax was plotting something and it was aimed at them.
Later, Carly tried to find out more info from the woman but she wouldn't
give anything up. Jax introduced them, saying Jillian was his attorney.
Carly was dying to know what Jax was up to.
At G.H., Dante called his mother, who promised him she'd stay away from
Sonny. Just then, Sonny showed up to visit Kate. When Kate was taken away
for tests, Olivia called Sonny on the carpet for considering marrying
Claudia. Sonny denied her accusation, saying that was too high a price to
pay. Olivia laid down the law with Sonny: If he's going back into the mob
then he needs to say good-bye to Kate forever. Olivia went to check on Kate
and her cell phone rang. Sonny answered it and, for the first time, spoke to
Dante, unaware that he was, in actuality, speaking to his own son. Olivia
walked in and was horrified.
At the coffeehouse, Claudia told Jason about Anthony's idea to marry her off
to Sonny. Claudia suggested to Jason that if he wanted to thwart a
Corinthos/Zacchara merger, he should marry her himself. "Let's go," Jason
muttered back. In the car, Claudia told Jason he should be nicer to her.
Jason told Claudia that she needs to disappear and Claudia feared that he
meant permanently. The two slowly opened up about their painful pasts.
At the Metro Court restaurant, Trevor met with Johnny and said they needed
to discuss Lulu, unbeknownst that Maxie and Spinelli were spying on them.
The investigators slipped into waiters outfits in order to get closer and
eavesdrop. Unfortunately, Spinelli got too close and spilled a bucket of ice
all over Trevor. however, he was able to lift a handwriting sample. Spinelli
analyzed it but it did not match the sample. Trevor was miffed and left.
Back at Shadybrook, Lulu became frantic after finding the note and then
Scott showed his face. "Of course it would be you," Lulu uttered. "I just
want justice for my son," he replied. As Scott laid into her, Laura grabbed
him and shouted, "Not my daughter, you son of a bitch!"
Friday
Jason and Claudia arrived at the Justice of the Peace to be married. Claudia paid him extra to make it snappy. When the "happy couple" didn't even want to hold hands during the ceremony, the JP refused to marry them. Claudia told Jason that if he wanted to see how far she'd go, he got his answer. Jason then gave the JP a wad of cash, took a blank marriage certificate and left. In the car home, Claudia blamed Jason for not giving Sonny back the organization and warned him that Sonny will marry her to take over the Zacchara crime family. She also foretold that Sonny would kill him when push came to shove.
In Kate's hospital room, Olivia grabbed her cell phone away from Sonny and told Dante that she has never mentioned him to Kate's fiance. Olivia assured her son that she was okay and hung up. "You have a son?" Sonny queried. Sonny said he'd like to meet him. Olivia said no way. Then, Sonny asked if Kate knew about her son. Olivia said yes, leaving Sonny perplexed about why
she wouldn't have mentioned that to him. Sonny then flat out asked who Dante's father was. Olivia told him that she was dating around and didn't know who the father was. Sonny congratulated Olivia for her blessing and she left.
In the cantina, Luke couldn't stand up. He and Tracy realized they were stuck without Edward's help getting them across the border. Tracy sobered him up with black coffee as they waited. When she heard what Luke had planned to tell Lulu, she ordered the bartender to bring over a bottle of tequila and told Luke he was better off drunk.
At Shadybrook, Scott laid into Lulu for killing Logan, prompting Laura to awaken from her catatonic state to protect her little girl. Lulu and Scott were shocked. "How could you threaten my child?" she asked. Scott tried to assure Laura that he was just seeking justice, that he wasn't making it personal. Scott explained Lulu and Logan's relationship and its parallels to theirs 30 years ago. When Scott pointed out that Lulu killed someone and must pay, Laura brought up Rick Webber. Laura ordered Scott to listen to
Lulu's side of the story. Scott took Lulu's story as a murder confession and threatened to call the police. Laura grabbed him, saying, "No! No!" Laura begged him not to arrest her. He agreed, if she would leave with him, no questions asked. Against Lulu's objections, Laura agreed and Scott whisked her away. Then, Lulu got busted by a doctor trying to call Tracy.
Lucky showed up at Wyndemere and informed Nikolas that Sam had been arrested and unloaded that he was upset that Sam was ready to sleep with Jerry to get information out of him. Jerry visited Sam in lockup and apologized for setting Sam up. Jerry pointed out Sam's predicament and suggested that they join forces. Sam played along and said she's always up for a risk. Just then
Lucky entered. He kicked Jerry out and asked Sam what she thought she was doing. Lucky said he believed she started with good intentions but now he didn't know what to believe. Sam was dumfounded by the accusation. She asked him to meet after she was released but he declined and said he's getting out of town because he can't deal with her.
Nadine showed up at Wyndemere and demanded to know what was going on with him and Carly after she spied them at Metro Court together. She apologized for being paranoid. Nikolas assured her that their night together was special. Nik then ordered the staff to stay away, then turned off his cell phone and made her do the same. "I want you," he whispered.
As Tracy checked her phone and saw that Lulu called, Luke disappeared. At Shadybrook, the doctor refused to believe Lulu's claim that her mom was gone. In his car, Scott told Laura that his plan was to make her fall in love with him again.
