GH Week of October 29, 2007
Monday
Carly insisted Jason would be her date/bodyguard to the Black and White Ball and Jax correctly concluded Carly was up to something. Spinelli pleaded with Jason to go to the ball. No, not as his date — he was hoping to tag along after Jason asked a girl. Luckily, Kate interrupted looking for Sonny. The Jackal felt his romantic trouble took precedence. Jason said he'd "talk about it," if Spin couldn't find a date on his own. Amused Kate said she was looking forward to going with AWOL Sonny. Cut to Trevor in his limo, hoping Friday's big boom rid him of his nemesis. At Crimson Point, Johnny realized that Mad Anthony Z. was gunning for Lulu. Ric arrived at Jax and Carly's looking for Sonny. The duo presented a united front but then Jax asked Carly what was up. Jason took a mysterious call about the car bombing and stonewalled Kate. Carly told Jax that Sonny was in Puerto Rico but she wouldn't 'fess up to her ball plans. Luckily, Lulu interrupted. She told Carly she was bringing Logan (in the hopes of avoiding a scene tomorrow).
Carly assured Lulu she had plans of her own. Ric brought his door-to-door Sonny campaign to Jason's and tried to weasel info out of Kate. Jason later hedged Sonny's whereabouts to Carly and she asked him to be her date. No dummy, Jason asked, "What the hell are you up to?" Carly pointed out that Em was throwing this and Nikolas was donating money to the hospital in Alan's name.
Of course Jason didn't buy the reasoning. Back at Crimson Point, Johnny held Trevor at gunpoint, intent on getting to Lulu.
Lucky greeted Sam with kisses and crabby Nikolas observed that he should've called before coming by (well, duh!). Lucky got defensive, but Sam and Nik awkwardly revealed that this visit wasn't about Lucky. (They were trying to settle that parapet mess from last week.) Sam said she'd be attending the ball and Nikolas wondered if Lucky and Sam were going together. Lucky told Nik to butt out. Later, Sam urged Det. Spencer to "spend the day in bed with me." She was quick to assure that their hookup meant "no strings attached,"
and Lucky agreed to come over, intending to ask Sam to be his date to the B/W bash. Elizabeth arrived at Wyndemere and she almost earned an earful of ragin' Nik vitriol about her treatment of Lucky. Too bad Emily interrupted!
They apologized for Nik's outburst and Liz assured she wouldn't miss the ball (while looking creeped out). Nik wondered if Em wanted to cancel, fearing he'd hurt someone. Back at Sam's, she said she'd never thought of herself as Cinderella but didn't want to pass up going with Lucky. Later, Lucky finally ran into Luke, who was clearly up to something outside Ric's office. Em delicately pointed out it wouldn't hurt to push the ball back, but Nikolas insisted on going forward. He said they could go away with Spencer afterwards to recuperate.
Scotty and Luke traded barbs at Kelly's about their newly-reunited kids and Laura. Nearby, Nadine made friends with Georgie. Ric threatened to tell the military about Logan's dirty dealings in Iraq unless Logan got back in Sonny's "good graces." Lulu arrived at Kelly's and mediated Scott and Luke's fracas. Luke told his "gumdrop" that she was wasting her "fire and determination on the Logans of this world." The Logan of this world told Ric he wasn't afraid of going to prison. Ric pointed out Lulu wouldn't feel the same way. "Remember, I own you," he warned. Georgie asked Luke who Lulu was taking to the ball and he denied knowledge of his kid's social calendar. Tracy and Luke brainstormed about how to take Scott down. She noted they were invited to the ball and "it would behoove us" to keep an eye on Lulu and Logan. At GH, Epiphany praised Nadine's work and flirty orderly Cassius praised Epiphany. Spinelli asked Nadine to the ball with his trademark rambling. Georgie asked Lulu if Spinelli had a date yet and ran off, hoping to land him. Of course she walked up on Nadine accepting his offer. Meanwhile, Ric caught Luke rifling through his files. Logan told Lulu that Ric was hassling him and she, in turn, asked him to the ball...as Mad Anthony Z. stared in through the Kelly's window.
Tuesday
Even as Emily accepted Nikolas' invite to go away with him, Carly pestered a suspicious Jason to take her to the Black and White Ball by suggesting Emily might need his protection from Nikolas. When Jax arrived, Jason said he couldn't escort Carly because of business. Jax asked if it's related to Sonny's disappearance. Jason said he's handling it — and not going to the ball — and left. Carly remained determined to go, and Jax remained worried. Finally, he relented, and canceled his Paris business trip to attend the ball. Carly said she loves him more than she's ever loved anyone else, and then they made out on the couch. Later, she checked her phone and viewed a message saying, "Looking forward to tomorrow." She replied, "See you at the ball."
As Lulu and Logan made plans to attend the ball, Elizabeth spotted Zacchara peeping on them and helpfully identified Lulu. After Logan left to go rent tie-and-tails, Liz sat down and said she knows Lulu knows that Jason is Jake's father. Liz explained she didn't tell Lucky the truth because she was afraid he'd go back to the pills, yadda-yadda-yadda. Lulu said she thought Liz was a hypocrite; Liz admitted she questions her decisions every day. As for Lucky hooking up with Sam, well, "Sam is a lying tramp," Liz spat, without elaborating. Lulu called Liz a wonderful mother. Then Lulu got a message from Johnny, but didn't read it. Meanwhile, in an alley, two thugs tried to take Zacchara home to Johnny, but he shot them dead instead.
Caught in Ric's office, Luke warned that Scott and Mayor Floyd are plotting against the DA, and offered to help by setting Baldwin up to do something illegal. Ric seemed somewhat interested. Later, Skye arrived at the DA's office to say she hasn't heard from Sonny regarding buying Alcazar's waterfront properties. Ric revealed Sonny is missing, and that Anthony Zacchara is just a beard for the real kingpin — Trevor. Later, Logan ran into Luke at Kelly's, where they expressed their mutual disdain for Scott Baldwin. Logan defended sticking with Lulu; Luke suggested maybe she should avoid him. Lulu arrived to warn Luke he better not be threatening Logan. Ric suggested using Skye's piers as bait to snare Sonny and Trevor doing something illegal. He added that eliminating the criminal element would allow Skye to sell her property to a legit business. She agreed, and he invited her to the Black and White Ball. Suddenly, he was summoned to the alley where Johnny's thugs lay dead. One soldier's phone started ringing with a call from Trevor. Johnny realized his father killed his men, and that he's the only one who can stop him. So he knocked out Trevor and went after his father. At Kelly's, Lulu said her dad is a fantastic dancer, but he never taught her. So Logan instructed her, right there in the (conveniently) deserted eatery.
At GH, Patrick invited Leyla to the Cassidine ball, but she suggested he ask Robin. He insisted he's moving on, but Leyla said he needs time. He admitted he's on the rebound, but invited Leyla again, and this time she agreed.
Meanwhile, Georgie spotted Spinelli showing off his dance moves for Nadine.
Georgie told him she also has a date. Nadine asked Georgie where to buy a gown. Later, back at the penthouse, Jason found Spinelli practicing his fancy footwork and bubbling about his date. Spinelli wanted to practice, but Jason would have none of it: "If you try to dance with me, I'll break your arms," he hissed. Spinelli admitted he's still hung up on Lulu and waiting to pounce when Logan screws up at the ball. Ric arrived and asked Jason if he shot Zacchara's thugs.
Later, on Wyndemere's Parapet of Doom, Nik fretted about an oncoming storm, but Emily wasn't worried. Maybe she should be — Anthony Zacchara was lurking just out of sight.
Wednesday
Wyndemere, Spoon Island, 5 a.m.
Nikolas awoke on his ballroom floor, battered and bloody. He was horrified to see a female hand lying next to a white mask.
11 hours earlier, 6 p.m.
Carly and Jax arrived on Spoon Island. "I'm ready for anything," Carly enthused. Inside, Nik and Emily recalled the Bacchanalia, then he wanted to ask her something. A freaked Spinelli summoned Jason to the docks and begged him to accompany him to the ball, but Jason refused. Then a radiant Nadine arrived, and Spinelli found the courage to make the trip. Johnny lurked in the shadows. Logan and a bubbly Lulu arrived on Spoon Island. Inside, Sam and Lucky froze when Elizabeth arrived alone. Back on the docks, Jerry met Alexis and told her he wanted to attend to make sure Nik doesn't hurt anyone he cares about. Ric and Skye arrived, making an awkward moment. "This night could get a little messy," Jerry understated. Speaking of awkward, Robin arrived on the island alone, running into Patrick and Leyla. Inside, Alfred snarked that Jerry wasn't on the list — drawing stares from everyone. Back on the docks, Johnny knocked out Scott and stole his invitation and mask. At the ball, Alfred told Skye that Monica was called to emergency surgery, and Edward wasn't coming either. Kate asked Jax about her magazine numbers. Carly claimed credit for the idea of the mag. Kate asked if anyone had heard from Sonny. Trevor told Jerry he will stay in town to see his granddaughter. Trevor got a call from a thug who couldn't find Sonny's body. He also couldn't find Johnny or his father Anthony. The thug advised shutting down the party because Anthony is gunning for Lulu. Upstairs, a weepy Nik confessed to Emily that he doesn't know how long he has left, and asked, "Will you marry me?" She sobbed, "I will marry you." She promised to raise Spencer and have children of their own. He slipped a ring on her finger. "I will love you forever," they promised each other. Then she donned a mask just like the one in the opening shot. Luke arrived at the party, followed closely by Scott, who accused Luke of stealing his invite. Coop was Georgie's date, and she suggested he dance with Maxie. Maxie ran into a masked Johnny, who asked to be her escort. In the ballroom, Nikolas welcomed his guests and announced his endowment to General Hospital in Dr. Alan Quartermaine's name. He then announced his engagement to Emily.
Liz congratulated Em, followed by Lulu. Nik asked why Alexis brought Jerry.
Lucky congratulated his brother. Robin told Emily she might borrow her fiancé for dates (not sperm?). Nik and Em shared the first waltz, as Liz watched from outside. Lucky found her and they recalled Bacchanalia and dancing at their wedding in that ballroom. They agreed that neither regrets one moment they spent together. Then he asked her to dance, "for old time's sake." It was a bittersweet parting. Naturally Sam spotted them. Sam cornered Elizabeth in the courtyard. "Everyone thinks that I am a con, but I have got nothing on you," Sam declared, applauding Elizabeth. "You played Lucky like a real pro," she added. Inside, everyone danced with their dates while Luke, Trevor, Kate and Robin scowled. Luke cut in on Logan and danced perfectly with his daughter. Scott told Alfred that Luke stole his invite.
They mentioned how proud Laura would be tonight. Alfred reported to Nik about Scott, and Nik ordered him let in. Scott and Luke exchanged dirty looks.
Scott complimented Logan and Lulu. Emily plotted to get Robin to dance with Patrick, but she resisted. Robin told Emily she wasn't interested. "We've agreed to move on," Robin claimed. Carly texted "Where R U?" and Jax asked who she was texting. Carly claimed she was checking on the boys before the storm hit. Alexis grabbed Jax for a dance. Scott reminded Logan that a girl like Lulu and a woman like her mother "come along once in a lifetime." Logan got a message to meet Lulu in the study. Lulu was running upstairs while Spinelli declared his love to her. Lulu told Spinelli he looked nice. She added that Nadine "know how to pick a dress." (The two were wearing the exact same dress.) Lulu suggested they dance and they did. Spinelli impressed her with his smooth dance moves. Jason held a gun to one of Anthony Zacchara's men. "Tell me about him," he said. Meanwhile, Logan went to meet Lulu, but she wasn't waiting for him — it was her father Luke. A nervous Logan tried to make small talk. "I want Lulu to be happy," he claimed. Luke wanted him to know that Lulu wouldn't be going home with Logan. Lulu entered the room, most curious as to what was going on.
Outside, Liz called Sam "an evil, selfish bitch" who knew Jason was Jake's father yet allowed the tyke to be kidnapped. Sam said, "You got Jason's kid and I got your husband," so Liz slapped her and they got into a catfight. Lucky broke it up. Sam challenged Liz to tell him why they were fighting. Carly left Patrick to text some more: "I need 2 CU." Nik invited Robin to dance.
The thug told Jason that Anthony is willing to kill to get what he wants. As Johnny realized his father is there for Lulu, Zacchara started destroying the Wyndemere pier with a pipe.
Thursday
Spoon Island, 5 a.m.
Nikolas' voice-over asked, "How much time do any of us have?" as he again awakened next to a female body.
11 hours earlier 7 p.m. (Wait, yesterday, "11 hours earlier" was 6 p.m.!)
Robin asked Nikolas to father her child. Nik called his Cassadine genes "questionable at best," and declined. Outside, Elizabeth called Sam "a lying tramp" who slept with Lucky to punish Jason. Emily arrived and defended Liz.
Elsewhere, Logan asked Lulu to trust him. Scott arrived and sniped at Luke, prompting Lulu to suspect Luke is blackmailing Logan. At the island boat landing, Anthony Zacchara brandished his garrote. Leyla confessed to Patrick that she was enjoying herself.
On the veranda, Nik exploded at Emily for "always sticking up for the almighty Jason!" Liz broke it up and ushered Em away. Nikolas told Sam he just blacked out and wondered what happened. Nikolas confessed he's getting worse. Upstairs, Em mended Liz's dress and explained Nik's rage blackouts and confessed she fears there may be no cure. Lulu pointed out that people said Luke wasn't good enough for her mother. Scott and Luke got up in each other's grills, then Lulu stormed out. Maxie caught up with the masked Johnny and insisted he dance. He left her because he thought he saw Lulu, but it was just Nadine, who unluckily wore the same dress. In the ballroom, Jerry asked Skye to let him broker the sale of Alcazar's waterfront property. Ric demanded that Trevor tell him what's really going on at this ball. At the wharf, Zacchara looked to the sky and wailed, "Maria, I'm doing this or you...." Then he sneaked inside and pondered taking a sword from a suit of armor.
Noting "I'm vibrating," Carly pulled her cell from her cleavage, then ditched Jax to sneak off. When Patrick offered Leyla some shrimp, she warned that a legend says if a man feeds a woman by hand, he will become her sexual slave. He took the chance.... Elsewhere, Georgie and Maxie told Robin to forget about Patrick. Robin wished she could stop missing him so much. Lucky found Sam moping outside, and they talked about how he grew apart from Liz. She wished someone loved her the way he loved Liz, but hey, love never lasts, so why bother? In the ballroom, Maxie sniped at Leyla for "breaking up" Patrick and her cousin, Robin, calling the nurse "a liar and a skank." Then she broke Leyla's necklace, reducing her to tears. Georgie found Coop geeking over antique weapons; she suggested he give Maxie another chance. He received a text from someone and left. Upstairs, Nik apologized to Emily and asked her to reconsider marrying him. She insisted, "I'm gonna fight for you." He fretted about hurting her, but she was sure he wouldn't hurt anyone he cares about. Alfred interrupted with "news of an alarming nature."
Downstairs, Nadine cut in on Logan and Lulu, allowing Johnny to whisk Lulu away. At Sonny's cafe, Diane warned Jason that Carly brought a gun to Wyndemere to confront Leticia's killer. At that moment, Carly and her gun hid when Ric and Alexis entered the salon, furiously arguing over Jerry. Trevor, meanwhile, found Kate on the parapet and advised her to leave the island. Unseen, a male figure lurked in the shadows behind her.
Nikolas told his guests the harbor was shut down due to the storm, so everyone will have to spend the night. Then the power went out! Wandering the halls, Carly suddenly drew her gun on Coop. Patrick and Robin had it out in the ballroom while Leyla sobbed and showed Nik her broken necklace. Logan demanded Nadine tell him who was that masked man she was dancing with, because Lulu has disappeared. Johnny told Lulu he's hustling her off the island before his father kills her. On the parapet, Kate was grabbed by the lurking man — Sonny! They kissed. Meanwhile, Alexis stopped dead in her tracks and screamed in terror at something she saw.
Friday
Holed up in a room upstairs, Sonny and Kate realized the power was out and enjoyed their surprise reunion by making out. They enjoyed drinks and private conversation. "I'm with the only person I want to be with tonight, and if we're stranded, that's even better," Sonny told her. Kate gently admonished him for not letting her know that he was OK. He apologized, but told her he was supposed to be dead. Sonny explained about how his car exploded and how he and Jason seized on the opportunity to stay dead until the right time. Sonny thanked her for saving his life. Kate appreciated his thanks but remained concerned for him. Kate relayed Carly's warning that she better get used to Sonny's dangerous lifestyle. Sonny explained that Trevor is the one who set him up to try to have him killed. Sonny and Kate celebrated the fact that they found their way back into each other's lives. Johnny attempted to whisk Lulu off the island but the storm was too intense for them to board any boats. "You better hope my father didn't make it onto this island," warned Johnny. Alexis freaked out and screamed bloody murder when she happened upon Ric who was impaled by a sword. Her screams drew Lulu and Johnny back inside. Elsewhere Lucky ran into Sam, who was off in search of the generator to fix it. They were interrupted by Elizabeth. Sam excused herself, and Elizabeth told Lucky that Nikolas could be seriously ill. Nikolas talked to Leyla about her broken necklace. Leyla said it was an accident but Nikolas suspected someone must have ripped it off of her. Leyla said she'd get it fixed. Logan warned Spinelli that Lulu is MIA. Against Max's advice, Jason prepared to take a speedboat to Spoon Island in the storm to reach Carly before she hurts someone else or herself. Carly held Coop at gunpoint and demanded to know why he responded to her text message. Coop insisted he didn't, he was responding to a text message he received, and denied that he was Leticia's killer. Coop asked her to give him the gun and not make the mistake of killing the wrong person or injuring herself. The gun went off. Carly missed. She insisted she missed on purpose, but won't miss the next time. Maxie arrived and insisted Coop was innocent. She continued to defend Coop, but Carly remained skeptical and insisted that Coop was Leticia's killer. Maxie joined Coop and volunteered to let him use her as a hostage to escape from Carly, if necessary. Jax arrived, disarmed Carly and told them about what happened to Ric. Jax asked Carly where she got the gun. Carly told him she brought it with her, and told him she's been in contact with Leticia's killer. Robin and Patrick argued over the end of their relationship. Patrick accused her of playing the victim, while Robin insisted it was because she wanted a baby and he bolted. As they argued Nikolas staggered by in the hallway outside and overheard them arguing. Nikolas busted in. "How many women do you plan on leaving in tears tonight?" asked Nikolas, who began pummeling Patrick. When Robin asked him to stop, Nik shoved her away. Emily came in and finally stopped the beating. Nik couldn't remember anything of what happened since he talked to Leyla about the broken pearls. He was disgusted that his party has turned into a disaster. Emily pleaded with her fiancé to chill out, but he remained wound up. Elizabeth told Lucky about Nikolas' rage issues and expressed her concern about him and his escalating pattern of violence. Lucky thanked her for telling him and promised to look after him. Liz went off in search of flashlights. Leyla and Emily treated Ric. Leyla went looking for Robin and Patrick to help treat Ric. As everyone tended to him and tried to control the bleeding, Jerry pulled out his gun and cocked it, ready to defend himself against whoever. Johnny told Lulu and Trevor that he's certain his father is there, and told Lulu how crazy his father is. Lulu wasn't concerned, but Johnny told her his father was crazy enough to kill his mother. Johnny had flashbacks to the night he witnessed his father killing his mother. He explained how Trevor intervened and helped concoct a cover story about how an intruder killed her. Johnny warned Lulu that he will kill her because he thinks they are dating. Privately, Trevor flipped out on Johnny and blamed him for Anthony's murderous rampage. "How many more innocent people are going to die?" asked Trevor. When Patrick went to apologize to Robin for arguing earlier she fainted into his arms. Spinelli ran and told Luke, et al about Ric's stabbing. Sam told Lucky that someone took an axe to the generator. Luke told Sam what happened to Ric, and warned everyone to stick together for safety. Robin and Patrick tended to Ric but said they couldn't stop the bleeding. Since the weather was too inclement for a medevac, Jax suggested using a boat. Luke called everyone to attention to warn them about the "knife-wielding freak," and urged everyone to stay safe by not trying any heroics and staying together to eat and drink in one big group. Lucky ran off in search of Elizabeth and Lulu. Robin and Patrick announced that they still couldn't control Ric's bleeding. Nikolas volunteered to go back to the ballroom with Emily to get a bottle of liquor to help control Ric's pain. Logan ran into Johnny and accused him of trying to take out Ric. Elizabeth freaked out when she opened a door and a dead body with a knife sticking out of it fell out. Lucky caught up with Lulu and asked her to remain with the group as he went to look for Elizabeth. Nikolas apologized to Emily for such a disastrous night and kissed her before heading off with Lucky on search of Liz. Luke again herded everyone into one big group for safety reasons. As he did so lightning struck outside, illuminating the face of a crazed Zacchara lurking in the shadows inside. Meanwhile, Jason sped across the harbor to Spoon Island in his boat, while an apparent timer on the boat ticked down: 3 minutes, 14 seconds and counting....
