General Hospital Recaps
GH Week of September 27, 2010
Monday
In the cabin, a woozy Robin asked Lisa to go for help, but Lisa balked, insisting they go together. Robin accused Lisa of being jealous that Patrick picked her over wild times with Lisa. Lisa accused Robin of being "an old lady" who judged others. "You're a slut," Robin countered. Lisa claimed that everyone defers to Robin because she has HIV — and that's how she landed Patrick: He couldn't reject her without looking like a bigot. Robin insisted, "Patrick and I love each other." Lisa accused her of creating drama to keep Patrick's attention. Lisa suggested Robin did something to Emma because the child is the center of Patrick's universe now. While Lisa pontificated, Robin made a break for it, bolting outside. Unfortunately, Robin tumbled into an abandoned old well! Robin called out for help, but Lisa enjoyed watching her struggle. At the Hub, Patrick suspected Lisa in Lana's death, but Steve was skeptical. Ronnie arrived and reported no one has seen Robin or Lisa, adding that there's no evidence to suggest Lisa is involved in Robin's disappearance — if she has disappeared, that is. Lisa returned to the hospital, and Patrick complained about Robin being missing. Steve told Lisa that Robin's car was found unattended, but with Emma in the back seat. Patrick acted annoyed with Robin's erratic behavior.
At Metro Court, Carly was suspicious of the timing of Sonny's affair with Claire: right after he visited Brenda. Carly asked if he would be with Brenda right now if it wasn't for his kids. He said he admired Brenda's work on behalf of exploited children. Sonny said disqualifying Claire as a prosecutor is not the only reason he's with her. Carly laughed at the thought of Claire as "sexy," noting that Sonny likes chasing unobtainable brunettes. When Claire arrived, Sonny invited her to his place for a home-cooked meal. Back at his place, they kissed and decided to order pizza instead. She led them upstairs. Later, they enjoyed their pizza and wine, and Sonny wondered if she would go on a trip with him. In Rome, Jason watched over Brenda as she detoxed on the couch. "How's Sonny?" she asked. Jason said Carly and Sonny got divorced, which was for the best. Brenda wanted to know if Sonny has been in love since, and, "Does he ever talk about me?" Jason replied, "He used to." Brenda said when Murphy proposed, all she could think of was the night Sonny had proposed. And when she saw Sonny again, she remembered that night again. She related how Sonny saved her from the kidnappers. Brenda claimed she understands why she and Sonny don't work — but wishes he had tried harder, anyway. Jason said they don't make each other happy for very long. He insisted Rome is not safe, so she must go back to Port Charles with him.
Dante warned Lucky that the Balkan is too dangerous to scam, but Lucky was certain he could fool him — comparing the mission to Dante going undercover in Sonny's organization. He asked them to leave, but Dante remained defiant. Outside, Lucky slipped into "Ronan" mode, and Dante warned him that unless he kills people, that will raise red flags. Meanwhile, Siobhan visited Lulu to tell her that "Ronan" is no longer a killer: He may have killed Donnie, but he didn't kill Donnie's revenge-seeking brother. Siobhan said Ronan found God. Lulu said it sounds like she's falling for Ronan. When two tough guys appeared on the docks, Ronan approached them, while Dante got the drop on them. When shooting broke out, Ronan went down. There was a shoot-out, during which Dante killed one guy, then Ronan (who had been faking?) jumped up and killed the other guy. As sirens approached, Lucky told Dante to run.
Tuesday
In Ireland, Lucky told Dante that if the cops see him, they will blame "Ronan" for the killings, thus bolstering his cover. Meanwhile, in Ronan's room, Siobhan stonewalled Lulu's questions about the Balkan. Lulu got a text from Dante, and then ushered the redhead out. Later, Lucky, Dante and Lulu returned to the room (where Lucky dropped the accent). Lucky revealed that he lifted one thug's phone, and they discussed how to set up Balkan. While a hidden Siobhan eavesdropped, the trio laid out the details of their whole charade.
In Rome, Jason asked Brenda if it's worth risking her life just to avoid running into Sonny in Port Charles. She said PC "is my past," and she doesn't trust herself. "My heart is not safe there," she whined. He promised to kill the Balkan for her — when he comes to PC. Jason declared he's taking her there, whether she likes it or not. She fretted over calling ahead to Sonny, and noted she doesn't want to fall into any old behaviors,or hurt anyone. In Port Charles, Claire was suspicious of Sonny's offer to take her on a vacation, but he insisted he merely wanted to show her he can relax (go sailing, get massages). She wanted it to be a secret. He wondered if she was looking to set him up, but Claire pointed out that she's too compromised to prosecute him. Then Molly walked in the open door with a delivery from Kristina: school photos. As Claire tried to leave, Sonny told her to pack light, and include a bathing suit and a passport. Molly was sure Krissy would freak to learn her father is dating the woman who sent Michael to prison. Sonny assured her Claire didn't mean it, she just wanted to get Sonny. Molly asked if he's in love with Claire. He said she's "nice," but hinted there's someone else. He' not in love, but he likes Claire. For now. Later, Claire arrived, packed light, and they left for the airport.
Johnny and Olivia canoodled at his loft. She proposed that for one night only, they avoid all things mob-related. There was a knock at the door: It was Lulu, begging him to use all his mob connections to track down the missing Robin. After he agreed, Maxie recapped the Fatal Attraction redux. Johnny remembered about Robin stashing Emma in a tree one time. Liv doubted that a respected surgeon would go off the deep end. But Maxie recognizes crazy when she sees it. After Maxie left, Olivia admitted she was glad Johnny can help.
At Wyndemere, Brooke Lynn modeled a new dress and told Nikolas she is prepared to be "impeccable" for him. On the plane, Nik drilled her about what she learned for the trip. She knew the facts cold, but worried about doing something wrong: tripping or saying the wrong thing. She worked herself into a frenzy. Turns out she' prone to panic attacks. He assured her that it was out of her system. He had confidence in her as a performer.
Robin tried to compose herself and climb out of the well, but she couldn't quite manage it. She talked out loud "to" Emma about her progress, vowing not to die there. Over at G.H., Lisa listened as Patrick accused Robin of abandoning him and Emma once again. Mac ordered Ronnie to toss Lisa's place while she's busy at the hospital. "I wanna find Robin," Mac said, and he didn't care about proving it in court. Ronnie said they shouldn't leave Lisa to Patrick. So Mac went to G.H. and arrested Lisa. At PCPD, Lisa claimed ignorance, then started trying to play Mac. He vowed to get the truth out of her. Patrick sought Spinelli's help tracking down his wife. In the well, Robin heard a voice and looked up to see Stone. "What on Earth are you doing down here?" he asked.
Wednesday
As a hidden Siobhan listened, Lucky told Dante and Lulu that Interpol didn't give him a choice about impersonating Ronan. Then "Ronan" got a call to meet Seamus — a guy who may recognize him as a fake. After the trio left, Siobhan emerged from the closet and as she fled, Lucky noticed her and gave chase — all the way to the docks. She was furious that he used her and lied to her. He insisted the tale of finding God was true (he merely altered the details to fit Ronan). When he found out Elizabeth was sleeping with his brother, he was filled with rage and spun out of control, until he found himself in a church, where he realized that God was there for him; maybe his suffering was for a reason. She stormed off. Then two police officers arrived to take him into custody. Meanwhile, Dante and Lulu were driving, and appeared to be lost. Then the car died.
Carly visited Sam, and suggested she go to Rome to keep Brenda from seducing Jason. Sam insisted she doesn't feel threatened, and told Carly to go to Rome herself. Next, Molly came over and recapped about Claire being at Sonny's. Sam explained that Molly and Kristina need to learn that nobody is perfect.
Olivia told Johnny she's worried about Dante, who suddenly disappeared. They toasted and kissed. Later, Olivia wanted to watch a chick flick (which sounded suspiciously like Thelma & Louise). But then Ethan arrived with Maya, hoping to borrow Johnny's pad. Liv made an excuse for them to leave Ethan and Maya alone. Ethan helped himself to Johnny's wine. She asked what's important to him and he said family, which surprised her. To her, "family" is a standard to be measured against, not people to enjoy. He invited her to dance.
At the penthouse, Spinelli could find no evidence against Lisa, frustrating Patrick and sending him packing. Then Carly came by to recommit to the plan to destroy Dante — but only after Michael is finished with probation. Uncharacteristically, she hinted that she would kiss him (as motivation). Carly predicted that Dante will soon lie to Jason, and so Spin agreed to help. Patrick ran into Lisa at the hub, and she complained about being a suspect. They commiserated about Mac's investigation. Then, Mac arrived and arrested Patrick in connection with Robin's disappearance.
At the bottom of the old well, Stone appeared to Robin. "Am I dying?" she asked, stroking his cheek. He shook his head. "I've missed you," he declared. She said losing him still hurts. Stone said he was able to let her go because he knew she would carry on. They chuckled as she remembered first meeting him and branding him an "obnoxious jerk." They recalled more good and bad times together. "You made me so happy," she said. He asked if she held a grudge for the HIV status. She said they made mistakes together, so it wasn't his fault. He suggested she built him up over the years and forgot how he failed her. "You need to see me for who I was," because he needs her to let him go, so he can move on. Robin claimed she now regrets moving on, because she married Patrick and he cheated on her — something she was sure Stone never would have done. Stone asked why she fell in love with Patrick. She recalled how he was exposed to HIV-tainted blood, and they talked as he went through the drug protocols. She got to see the "obnoxious" Patrick as "the kind, vulnerable man I wanted to marry." Stone smiled: "Then you got everything I wished for you." When Stone asked how she's been honoring him, she mentioned her diary, photo albums, volunteer work. Stone pointed out that that all means there's a place in her heart that's permanently out of Patrick's reach. "Do you wish you died when I did?" he asked. "I love my life," she replied, relishing her career, her family, and especially Emma. She decided to get home to Emma. "You will," Stone promised. "I'll always love you, Stone," she said. "I'll always be part of you" he promised, kissing her hand. And then he was gone.
Thursday
Brenda ran into Sonny on the pier — just as he was shot in the chest! Jason swept her up and carried her off, screaming. And then Brenda awoke, screaming, on a plane with Jason. She groused about going to Port Charles — and even hoped the would plane crash. "I'll hate you forever," she promised. Then the plane started shaking. Spinelli was vacuuming the penthouse, so he didn't hear Molly enter with the flowers he had ordered for "the Divine One," Brenda. Spinelli expressed his devotion to Brenda by quoting Byron (which Molly recognized). Molly was super-excited about the supermodel coming to live in Port Charles. When Jason and Brenda finally arrived, Spinelli was a nervous wreck. He was prepared to move out of her old pink room, but she declined. He served her coffee and biscotti, and she asked him to share with her.
On Sonny's island, he gave Claire a fancy gown to wear to the casino. She figured he's done this before. "I can't be one of many," she frowned. Sonny asked what she wanted to do. She wanted to...fish! He explained that he never moved to island permanently because it was too quiet for him. Later, after she had caught their dinner, they began making out. Afterward, he asked where she grew up. "All over," she replied, noting she is a second-generation fed. When she was 11, her 17-year-old cousin taught her how to fish and they won competitions in Florida. She got weepy recalling how her cousin was shot in a convenience store robbery. Sonny revealed that he sold newspapers on the street as a kid. He asked what makes her happy? A day like this: cold beer, the ocean, she answered. She doesn't need fancy clothes, "I just need a connection." She wants to look into a man's eyes and know they can trust each other. They kissed. Then her phone rang. She was summoned back to work.
Steve visited Patrick to discuss strategy in the PCPD interview room. (Emma was with a sitter.) Lisa eavesdropped, then entered, and the guys claimed to be discussing surgery rotations. Lisa assured Patrick that Robin is fine. Steve left. Mac accused Patrick of wanting to get rid of his wife to be with Lisa. Lisa claimed Robin is just crying out for attention. She left and called a lawyer, and learned that Patrick was free to leave. Elsewhere, Robin awoke alone in the well. Her alarm went off, indicating it was time to take her meds. She continued talking to a non-existent Emma, and called for help.
Sam asked Maxie to bring her a selection of couture outfits, because she needs to look extra hot when Jason returns. Maxie was sad that Robin is still missing. Later, Molly visited Sam and asked her to invite her to the penthouse so she can meet Brenda. Michael visited Jason to explain how he got in trouble at school. Brenda interrupted their conversation, recognizing him as Michael, who was just a baby when she left. They talked about him being Josslyn's brother. The subject of her birth was awkward, so Michael left. Then Jason explained Michael killing Claudia to protect Joss. Michael went to prison for it, and Jason went to prison to protect him. Later, Sam let herself into the penthouse, and saw Brenda. "I'm sorry, who are you?" Brenda asked. Jason looked contrite.
After abandoning their stalled car in Ireland, Lulu and Dante awoke in one of those abandoned cabins just like the ones that dot upstate New York. They trudged back to the car, moved it off the road, and retrieved stale coffee and Snickers. Dante suggested asking St. Brigid for guidance. When Lulu did, they heard sheep. The sheep led them to meet a friendly stranger who gave them supplies and let them stay in a cabin. When Dante questioned Lulu's apparent joy at roughing it, she admitted she would have liked to have grown up on the road, like her brother Lucky. Would she like to be an adventurer, he asked. She confessed that growing up with her grandmother, she felt like she missed out. When Lulu suggested they dedicate their lives to traveling the world, he asked if she wanted that, or was just trying to live up to her last name.
At GH, Steve whispered to Patrick that he learned at PCPD that an old patient of Lisa's has an isolated cabin in the woods. Patrick thought that sounded promising. Meanwhile, Robin missed another dose of medicine, and called for help...
Friday
Brenda realized Sam is Jason's girlfriend, and instantly wanted to know how they met. Which made Jason's blood boil. Sam explained that she's a PI, and works with Spinelli. When Brenda pressed her on how she came to town, Sam explained she was a con woman who came to town with Jax! And then she was with Sonny. And then Sonny went back to Carly. And then Sam learned she was pregnant, and moved in with Jason. He cared for her, and they fell in love. But her child was stillborn. Brenda regretted dredging all that up. She offered to stay somewhere else, but Sam insisted she stay at the penthouse. Sam left, and Brenda scolded Jason for not telling her stuff. She asked if he loves Sam. He admitted he does. But he wouldn't answer whether he will marry her. She asked to be taken to Sonny. He refused. She argued, and so he agreed to have guards bring her.
Aboard Sonny's plane, Claire used her laptop to invite him to join the mile-high club. Afterward, she bubbled about the joys of the high altitude. When he praised her for being so free and sensual, she said this is not normally her. "Is this too good to be true?" she asked. She was a little worried about what her co-workers will think. He promised to prove himself to her. "This is just the beginning," he vowed.
At the hub, Lisa asked Patrick to leave with her, but Steve assigned her an operation. She asked Patrick to scrub in, but Steve assigned him to a head trauma. Alone, Patrick told Steve that Lisa has figured out he's on to her. Later, Lisa asked Epiphany where Patrick went. Realizing he was gone, Lisa called Don to ask if anyone inquired about the cabin, then headed to the property, where Patrick was searching for the unconscious Robin. She awoke and called out to him. Later, Steve learned from Epiphany that Lisa had ditched her surgery. He dialed Patrick to warm him Lisa is headed for the cabin. Patrick pulled Robin out of the pit. She remembered nothing about the accident. Then, a gun-wielding Lisa confronted them. "You did this to me!" Lisa screamed. "This is not my fault," Patrick said.
In Ireland, Dante suggested Lulu loves living on the run and behaving like her mother. He mocked her Bonnie & Clyde ideas, but she noted her head was filled with these stories while growing up. And she's the reason her mom insisted on "settling in the house that ate my father's soul." He said she can't live up to the Legend of Luke & Laura. Dante advised her not to judge herself by others. She allowed that her parents probably exaggerated the romance angle for their little girl. They agreed to live their own relationship and not compare themselves to others. Lulu delighted in being alone with him. She volunteered to build a fire while he went outside. As soon as Dante left, someone else peered inside. It was Inspector Bates. He said he knows Ronan — so Lulu cold-cocked him! When Dante returned and checked the man's pockets, they found his Interpol badge.
Maxie met Matt at Kelly's for lunch to district herself from worrying about Maxie. Spinelli walked in and knocked over a table while looking at his computer. He didn't even notice Maxie. He realized that video game heroine Ariel Blade was inspired by Brenda — "the most captivating woman on the planet." Spin sang Brenda's praises until Matt arrived. Matt diagnosed that Maxie is being driven crazy by Spin's interested in Brenda. "You have the attention span of a gnat" he said. Maxie insisted she loves Spinelli. Sam came in, so Maxie sent Matt packing. Sam recapped about Brenda, and admitted she might even like Brenda. She sensed Jason and Brenda's "chemistry." Sam realized she's winding herself up, and returned to the penthouse. She told Jason she thinks they should break up.
Sonny returned home (alone) to find Brenda waiting. She told him she's going to be staying in Port Charles — but she won't see him. Ever.
