I would like to start first with the misses because I'd like to end on a positive note just in case TPTB at GH actually read these forums. Claudia continuing to get away with what she's done is getting old. It's time for her to start paying. I doubt I was the only one who felt no sympathy for her at the loss of her baby. How could I? She couldn't see that it was karma catching up with her. Her lines when speaking to Kelly about the baby were the exact same things Carly said to Patrick when Michael was first shot. It's like the writers went back to the old script & deliberately wrote it verbatum for Claudia. She wants Carly to pay for throwing her down the stairs. I wonder how she'll feel when someone finally tells Carly that she's responsible for Michael's shooting & Carly wants HER to pay. I'm beginning to think that Anthony might have been normal at one time & it was Claudia & Dominica that turned him into a lunatic.
The other big miss is how Jax is looking at this situation. Yes, he's afraid for Carly's health if the truth comes out, but he's already spoken to Sonny & Jason & they've told him they won't act until Carly has the baby. So, why hasn't he told them what all Jerry said on that DVD? He says he loves his step-son. If that's true, why hasn't he leveled with Sonny about Claudia so Sonny could make an informed decision about what's best for Michael? He can't be so stupid as to not know that Michael is in danger in her presence. He knows Michael remembers her voice from when he was in the coma. I'm sure it's occured to him, that like he did, Claudia confessed to Michael. Instead of keeping quiet for Carly's sake, he should speak up for Michael's sake.
Which leads to the last miss for now. The whole family is going back & forth on where Michael should live when he gets out of the hospital. He shouldn't be around Claudia. It's not safe for him. Sonny & Jason both agree on that. But, he shouldn't be at Carly's because he's afraid his temper will flare up & he'll hurt her. So, why has no one suggested the obvious? That for now, Michael should live with Jason & have short visits with his parents? It's the only solution that makes sense. They know it's safe there. It's an ideal environment for him to rest & recover & he'll be in the presence of someone who understands what he's going through.
Now, for the hits. The first one is Sonny has finally woken up & seen the light. He now suspects that Ric is the father of Claudia's baby. After months of her & Ric having sex, literally right under his nose, it finally dawns on him that Ric could be the baby's father. He finally realizes he can't trust her. He's suspected her of putting his son in a coma for months, but only now that he knows his wife, whom he told could do whatever she wanted with whoever she wanted, is carrying another man's baby, does he realize he can't trust her. Pathetic, but still better than cluelessly defending her.
The last hit goes to the scenes today of Jason & Michael. These scenes are an example of why I believe that Steve Burton & Jason have not been getting the front burner status they deserve. Watching the beautiful way he dealt with Michael when his rage was so out of control Liz wanted to call security & sedate him. He was calm & quiet as he spoke to Michael. He didn't even bat an eye when Michael punched him. He stayed calm & focussed & reminded Michael how much he loved him. That was proof the writers can do great things when they put care & effort into it & in Steve Burton's hands, it was magic.
Sorry about the length. I had to get it out of my system. It's all gotten to that point.
