Not that unusual I kno alot of kids that have sleepovers on school nites, and then all the kids go to school together. I have a really hard time with this recast. It seems like they are writing Lily back when she was soooo in love with Holden she defied everyone to be with him. But watch they'll get back together (Yawn) yet again. this is almost as bad as when they recast Martha before, and we all know how that turned out

Today we learned that Lily and Holden are gonna be getting back together(BORING) if it was the old lily I would be happy, but at this point I think Holden should just be with Carly. It just seems to be a great fit, and the flow seems natural..PS I miss Martha I hope Dusty's return sends Holden back to Carly

I couldn't agree more. I was hoping that they would break up permanently. NuLily is such a disapointment. I want Martha back. No one is Lily but Martha. I keep trying to like Noelle, but Bring back Martha!!

No one plays Lily like Martha Byrne. She is the essense if Lily. Her voice, her mannerisms. She's Lilly, and I for one want her back!

I, too, like the Holden/Carly pairing. I think they sizzle. Even now, the chemistry between the two burns up the air waves. Maybe when Dusty gets back to Oakdale and Lily sees him, maybe that would spark a fire under Lily to want to be with him instead of Holden. Then ATWT could have a Jack/Carly/Holden triangle for awhile.

I like the idea of Dusty coming back and sending Lily into another tail spin, especially the way she is acting like what she did isn't as bad as Holden and Carly. I'd love to see a Jack/Carly/Holden triangle. Maybe Jack will get off his high horse and admit how much he really loves. If I can't have Jack and Carly together, then I vote for Holden and Carly Carly.

I hardly ever watch AtWT any more. I fast forward over nulily and watch Carly and Jack, and Janet and Jack. I saw a picture of Martha at a cancer run in NY and it was taken with Noelle. What a classy lady Martha is. And looking at the two together, made me even more sure that Martha needs to be brought back. SHe really was the backbone of the show. I love Carly and Jack, Meg and Paul, Vienna and Henry. But like I said, I hardly watch it anymore. I think of the treatmentn that was given to Martha, and I figure people that would do that, do not deserve any of my loyalty. BRING BACK MARTHA. You might be able to get back some of your fans...

I couldn't agree with you more, dchesshir. Martha is the ONLY one who can play Lily. I miss her more every day. Sadly, after reading interviews with her and hearing how she was so disrespected, I don't think there's any chance she'll come back as long as Chris Goutman is running this show.

I loved Martha as well. To me, she was Lily and had been for over 20 years. But one thing I've realized in those 20 years is that recast happen and characters come and go. It's something unique to soap watching that doesn't happen as much in other forms of entertainment. And it's something you kinda get used to. I didn't think I'd ever adjust to someone new as Lily, but in time Noelle won me over with her talent, her chemistry with her co-stars and her fresh take on Lily. Martha will always have a special place in my heart and when I see her in clips from the past I cherish those memories. But Noelle has turned in some terrific performances...... I just loved her scenes with Liz Hubbard and GMC this past week. She didn't play out the history with those characters, but you felt it in those wonderfully written and beautifully acted scenes. To me, that's the sign of an talented actress who has taken over a beloved role and made it all her own.

I hope that no one means disrespect to Noelle or even Heather - both women are professionals who have done their best with what was written. Having said that, there are parts that are so tied to certain actors that maybe they shouldn't be recast. Do I want to see anyone else play GL's Reva? DOOL Marlena? Y&R's Victor? GH's Luke or Sonny? No. I can accept that the Hughes men are, with exception of Bob, the most recast roles ever. I give every Chris (and gave every Tom) the benefit of the doubt. I have even given Noelle the benefit of the doubt - I'm still watching, she's doing fine - but she has not made the role her own. Martha spent her entire life creating that role - she IS Lilly. And for me and many others, she always will be.

Noelle Beck is a wonderful actress, but she is not Martha Bryne. Her Lily just doesn't do it for me. I've watched Martha from the time she came, and she is Lily. I watch Noelle, and I don't see Lily, I see Noelle. But when I watched Martha, I saw Lily. It would be like replacing Jon Hensley, Maura West, Michael Park or Liz Hubbard. No one can be those charactors, except these actors. They made us love the charactors. It's such a shame that a seasoned actor like Martha was treated so shabbily. I hope the other actors stop, look and see that happens when you displease TPTB. This keeps up, and All our familiar actos will be gone. It's very sad!

What is really sad in all this, is th at no one takes responsibility for the recast. I wrote Proctor and Gamble, and they replyed and said to write to the director. Then in an interview I read with Chris Goutman, he said he didn't read anything that fans wrote. So who or where can fans go to show their displeasure? Is Chris Goutman so big and so powerful that he doesn't need fan approval. I think he has forgotten who indirectly pays his salary. It's the people that buy the products that P&G sell. I'm about fed up with ATWT. And with the downhill slide of soaps in todays market, maybe he ought to be a little more concerned with what fans feel. People get fed up and they change channels. I used to love GL, but now I've changed to All My Children. Too many of the people that I loved left. So bye bye GL. And I'm ready to do the same with ATWT.

I stayed of my soap box for most of the stupid things Holden has done. I want Lily, i don't want Lily ,know wonder Lily never knows if she is comimg or going. When Lily had some form of a break down all Holden kept doing is pushing her away is wasn't right but she turn to Dusty. He has forgotten the mistake that he made with Julia now here he is with he cousin's ex, someone he didn't ever like or respect so who is he kidding. Lily deserve better. To be honest if Holder of all people will go after Carly who ia always looking for a man to keep her warm Holden must need he head examine. I like Carly but she is one of those women who needs to show her children that she has some class and could survive without a man in her bed for while. I think her kids would respect her more especilly Parker who doesn't think he Mom knows when to say no of do the right thing.
