Chloe’s daughter being named Bella is no coincidence: It was specifically chosen as a homage to Y&R co-creators, William J. Bell and his wife, Lee Phillip Bell. In the issue of Digest on sale now, CBS Daytime Exec Angelica McDaniel, who suggested the name, explains. “We were approaching the 11,000th episode, a milestone made possible thanks to the vision of Bill Sr. and Lee Bell, so Bella was born as a tribute to our origins, and an expression of gratitude to the Bells and the fans who have made Y&R daytime’s most watched soap.” For more behind the scenes dish, check out the new issue, on sale now.
