Huge OLTL Casting News! Roger Howarth Returns!

Roger Howarth JPI LARGE

After months of speculation, Digest has received exclusive confirmation that Emmy-winning actor Roger Howarth (ex-Todd; ex-Paul, ATWT) is indeed returning to Llanview and will begin filming in May. "I am looking forward to returning to OLTL," says Howarth. "We are going to have a lot of fun telling this story and I am excited to see how it will unfold." In 1992, Howarth originated the role of Todd Manning and quickly became a fan fave, nabbing a Daytime Emmy in 1994 and two Soap Opera Digest Awards. After leaving OLTL in 2003, Howarth played ATWT's Paul until that show's cancellation in 2010. Rumors surrounding the actor's possible comeback resurfaced earlier this year after OLTL embarked on a storyline involving Téa's mysterious brother Tomas and his ties to Todd's past. Howarth, who has been in Los Angeles for pilot season, was reportedly courted by a West Coast soap as well as OLTL. Details surrounding how the actor will return to the fold are still up in the air. "We are thrilled to have Roger return to ONE LIFE TO LIVE," says Executive Producer Frank Valentini. "As OLTL viewers know, Trevor St. John has been playing the role of Todd Manning since 2003. We have a great story planned that will involve both actors." Be sure check back here and on Facebook and Twitter (@soapdigest) for more late-breaking news.
