I actually liked today's show, too. I liked Erica speech to Carmen and loved that they showed the disco clip and Mark!!! I used to love Mark. Remember when Erica was considering dating him and Mona freaked out because he was Erica's brother? It was good use of Erica's history and this will certainly help turn Erica's character around. So many people have said that the were tired of her acting like a teenager. I feel we will be seeing a more mature Erica is the future.
The line of the day for me was Erica upon entering that store, "Who knew you could buy a dress, a pot and fertilizer all in the same store".
The writing does seem to be changing and it does not feel like B&E's handy work. I noticed Hope Harmel Smith's name back, so maybe there is a change going on somewhere.
Even the Babe/Richie story seemed less plot driven today.
Opal at Courland Manor? It was good to see it again. I love that Opal's getting screentime. I didn't even mind that it was about Richie that day.
Frankie/Colby, I'm liking them. Their talks about what happened when they were trapped together and how they feel about it are realistic to me, very well written and don't seem forced to me. I love that they are not instant BFF's.
I couldn't figure out Jesse/Sam. As much as I loved seeing those two fine actors together, the connection lacked for me.
I like hospital Angie more than I like her at home. I guess maybe it's because I feel her and Jesse are too happy together, with no relationship issues since he's been back.
I didn't want to fast forward any scene today. That is a great step for me and AMC.

As I said on another board, I could watch DW thread a needle and be entertained. That's how good I think he is. And I adore Erica in an adventure that doesn't involve getting married or divorced. I'm not a fan of any incarnation of Babe. Period. So she and Richei's scenes did little for me. Although, it really po'd me when he was rude to Opal. How stupid was that? Any con man worth his salt isn't going to be nasty to the hand that's taking care of him. Not a smart move, Richie.
Richie's an annoying, whiny brat. I'm glad Opal senses something and I hope he's found out soon. He was obnoxious to Opal and manhandled Babe, so I'm glad Babe put him in his place, and defended JR. I have no idea how Richie gets off, calling anyone else a jerk.While I wish it didn't involve Richie, because he can go any time, I did love seeing Opal. She's a hoot, and it was nice to see that set again. Erica's story really doesn't do anything for me, but I enjoyed the flashbacks.Didn't quite get the connection with Jesse/Sam either.not a bad show, overall.
