I just want the old John back With the memories of being Santo and Colleen's son

I am fully enjoying John as he is not. Definately no holds bared tell it like it is. It is refreshing though it can be frustrating as all get out too. I totally love his since of humor. As much as I LOVED the olf John this one is a keeper.

I love John and Marlena! I do think the new John is kind of funny but I hope eventually we get real John back.... not too soon though, I want him to fall in love with Marlena all over again before he gets his memory back

I'm enjoying the few J&M scenes we've gotten lately but I want more. The Black family scene was great too bad Shelle and Claire are leaving. I want John to soften up more but I'm afraid we're in for more hardness than softness.

I hope when John gets his memory back he will find someone better than Doc. She is so boring

I like that Marlena's dishing John's crap right back to him and not letting his bad behaviour just happen. I just wish there was more focus on THEM as characters instead of the plot.

She not just putting up with it and I love that. The doormat she was starting to become was seriously not working for me.

And I am with you, we need more focus on them. I want to see the writers go deep with this sl and tug at my emotions the way they did with the affair sl and in '96 & '97 when they long to be with one another. The way this sl is currently being written, I don't feel anything for either character. It's quite frustrating!

I love the new John. I hope he never gets his memory back. He's so funny and witty now, so much more entertaining then before. I find myself enjoying his scenes for the first time in as long as I can remember, especially with Claire. They're so cute.

I, too, love this version of John much more than the old John. He truly holds my interest. You can almost see the wheels turning in his head...as he processes everything without regard as to how it might effect other people. His interaction with Little Claire is adorable and I'm sorry we won't be seeing much more of that. This is a meaty role for DH.

I'm in NO hurry to get the old John back, LOL! I am LOVING the new Jawn, he is a riot and Drake is doing an extraordinary job of playing a bad arse character. I'm looking so forward to the John/Victor storyline that is coming up and am BEYOND giddy that my favorite character is a Brady/DiMera, so COOL! Drake is so much fun to watch, I adore him!

I am so happy to see J&M in a front burner story at last. It's interesting watching the new dynamics between the characters. Deidre and Drake are doing a great job. I do want to see John fall in love with Marlena before he gets his memories back again.

UBS, sounds like a dream would be the perfect opportunity to put those cut scenes in I want to see these two fallin love all over again before John gets his memory back.

I want the old John back. I can't understand why a real John fan would want him to stay this way. It is the character's worst nightmare to have lost his memories and have stefano strip away everything he had, leaving him a shell of who he was. But they can take their time, I want to watch John fall in love with Marlena all over again. That would be romantic.

YAWN. That is what I do whenever I see those two together. She is so insufferably hopeful and sappy and he is so utterly obnoxious. Let her get over it and move on. Let him find the bloody disk and get his memory back and become as insufferably sappy as she is. DO SOMETHING already. Enough of this is enough.

I agree. He's a different man now and Marlena and Belle are not being realistic. Get over it.

He has never tried to get someone to like him and he's really trying with Marlena. The look on his face in the last scenes was heartbreaking. I hope Marlena starts to see this in him. I want her to start to understand him and for them to grow closer. A little flirting or an experimental kiss wouldn't hurt either

Loved John and Marlena are the Mansion today! There were great dynamics between John/Marlena/Rolf. Loved the banter, the looks and especially the last scenes. I didn't even hate Sami/Ej today. I hope Marlena is not gone long, it is just starting to turn a corner. I saw some great sparks between John and Marlena and something new between them. More John and Marlena please!

Wooohooo, we get a dance this week! I watched the NBC promo and can't wait to see Marlena hypnotize John and for them to dance. Looks like there are a few flashbacks too.

Love the spoiler for the week of April 21. I wonder what Marlena gives John? I hope it's something good and involves both of them

Hey Hops,I loved last weeks scenes and especially today. WOW! I really felt for both characters. Loved the honesty in their discussions. John so desperately wants her to give the new them a chance, but it's all so confusing for Marlena. I could really see and sympathize with the conflicting emotions she's feeling. As much as she would like it to be, it's not as simple as just letting things take their course. Oh man, I just loved these scenes so much and I can't wait to see what's waiting for us upon Marlena's return.

Monday's show were the best John & Marlena scenes in months. I loved the angst between them as they each tried to figure out their feelings. John wants and needs Marlena but he can't figure out how to show her his feelings. Marlena is too consumed with her own pain and confusion to help John with his. Drake and Deidre have been fabulous since this new John came about. Even with the differences in his character their chemistry is still palpable.I'm looking forward to seeing what's next when Marlena returns to Salem.

Loved the "reason to get up in the morning" kiss Marlena gave John (two thumbs down to the editing dept for AGAIN cutting a J&M kiss too soon.) Really enjoyed Friday's show when J&M discussed his 'date'. Drake & Deidre have such good chemistry and play these sort of banter scenes so well. I wish Days would focus more on J&M's relationship and less on John's obsession with business.

Those scenes were awesome! I'm loving the playfulness of J&M, they are cute and sexy and I'm hoping for more of it.

I'm still sad about their love scene being cut I'm hoping for a sexy new love scene, I'm ready for Marlena to model the black nightie for John

I don't get Marlena and Pawn John. He's NOT John. He just looks like him. I guess he could be Stefano with plastic surgery and she'd still lov ehim.

There are traces of him in there. Whether he fully comes back or not, I am enjoying watching this John fall in love with Marlena and she with him. They are soul mates And what about when a person has a stroke or other tragedies and they lose certain aspects of themselves, should their partner just up and leave? My Mother didn't leave my father. She loved him even when he couldn't remember her. I think it's a beautiful thing.

I just loved Friday's episode! Loved the passion, loved the lighthearted dialogue, and loved the underlying push-pull between J&M. John could care less about Sami. But he's coming to the hearing to "score points with Blondie", who, by the way, doesn't even want to go to the hearing herself. It's almost like a classic romantic comedy. Friday's show reminded me of the episode two or three weeks ago where the five of them (J&M, Sami, EJ, Rolf) were all in the mansion together and decided that Sami and EJ would move in. That show also featured some great dialogue and some pretty funny moments. I hope we see more of these types of episodes in the future.

I really liked their short scene alone after John had found out about the Conference Table, and he had this little smirk on his face, and Marlena was all cute and asking him what that look meant, and he kissed her and told her she still had 'it'. How about John hears Marlena crying at night and goes into her room (or I'd take him find her crying downstairs in the living room on the couch if they cannot afford to show a bedroom) and it's a little awkward, but he asks her what is wrong in the Jawn way, and he has to go out on a limb and get her to open up and really tell him her fears about letting go and loving him (in a loving way). Just something where we see them grown closer emotionally.

Get the disc, uncrypt it, get the old John back. Dead corpses has more emotions than this new John does.

Will Marlena really fight to clear John's name? Will it play out on screen?
