I've read on various soap opera sites bad press about Ken Corday but am not really familiar with him except for him being the owner of the show and the owner of Corday Productions.
I know he is not the headwriter of Days but just wondered what he does actually do - I mean by trade. Does he have a hand in the scriptwriting? Is he a Director or even a producer as although he is listed as Executive Producer it is always a role shared with someone else.
I know that I read somewhere he is the composer of the music.
Also, with Corday Productions, is it just set up purely to make Days or does he make other productions as well.

His parents, Betty and Ted Corday, along with Irna Philips. Ken took over when his mother retired. Although he was a successful music producer, he doesn't have any experience in producing long running day time drams. The only reason he was able to get the job was he was lucky enough to be Betty and Ted's son.It is apparent by his business decisions that Ken doesn't want Days to succeed. The reasons don't matter. His actions do. If he actually wanted to preserve his parents legacy, he would find a head writer who not only knows the show but cares enough to put creative effort into the storylines and who would respect the characters.
